Very quirky pub, well worth a visit. Food very good. We had the beef burger enormous! Very long wait but interesting place to walk around, loads of railway memorabilia. Platform right outside the pub, also you can walk along the old track. Many forest walks nearby, not signed too well

I haven't been there for about a decade, but I must say that not much has changed since returning. I had the triple cheese burger 🍔 and it was delicious, but upon what my dad said, we had to wait 45 minutes since ordering and they were waiting on a delivery of cheese 🧀, so they would have to stretch the remaining cheese to fit the 2 orders of the triple cheeses. I thought there would only be one beef patty, but along came the 3 patties. Overall, we weren't in a hurry and we enjoyed ourselves. Chips were excellent 👌

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to tafarn sinc today. Would recommend their burgers which are made in house and are perfectly seasoned and so meaty. Best to book ahead as it can get quite busy at peak times. The decor is set oldy world with sawdust on the floor. Plenty to keep your eyes entertained. The staff were so polite and friendly. Can't wait to visit again.

We arrived as walk ins on a hot summer day. When we approached the bar they were uncertain about serving us food and explained it's hard for the kitchen to stay on top of the orders on days like this. This seemed fair and reasonably explained but would have been very disappointing to be turned away. However once we were assured of service it was excellent. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. The pub is a must see venue absolutely quirky and fun. Not a single hallmark of today's dreary pub chains. I loved our visit and would definitely go again but would try and book next time.

I love the quirkyness of this pub! Set in the Preseli hills, the red corrugated pub exterior is steeped in history and the interior is just as interesting. You could spend hours inside looking at all the artefacts and paper clippings on the walls and ceilings! The sawdust covered floors just add to the charm. Lovely service, great food and dog friendly. I want this place to be a success. Unfortunately, on our latest visit we had to wait an hour and a half for our food. When it came it was very disappointing and most went back to the kitchen uneaten. The staff also need training in customer service. If we hadn't traveled a long way to meet up with friends we would have left. We have been customers here for many years but I don't think any of the group will be returning ☹️

Visited here Sunday, 21st July, service at the bar very slow, was told they were serving food only after queuing 15 mins being told food not being served , it was the manner in which the elderly lady in the yellow blouse spoke, tome, rude and quite arrogant. However, she did us a favour we left and found a great little place down the road, Caffi'r Sgwar, look it up great food

We've been long time visitors here for the past 4 decades on and off. I visited with my mum on Saturday. The place is still a wonderful gem in the midst of the glorious Preselis and it is holding up very well under the coop management of the locals. I've heard that the entertainment excellent. However. Some of the food is very expensive for what you get. I spent £14 on a lamb burger with a small salad. No fries. They needed to be ordered separately. The toastie my mum had was excellent value - lovely bread and baked ham with fries. Sadly though we had to wait nearly 40 minutes as they clearly forgotten our order. 😔 I'd still go back - just not for the burger! Dog friendly also - inside and out.

Lots of character, beautiful area but that’s where it ends. We turned up hoping to have a nice meal and a drink, the lady who served us made no effort to make us feel welcome and when we asked if they was still serving food it was though we was asking too much. The food we had was as bland as could be…but then they only offered us scampi, cod, chicken nuggets and chips. Would I go there again, definitely yes but after the quality of food we were served I would think twice before eating there again.

Wonderful atmosphere with a huge wall of photos that despite me not knowing any context behind these they still managed to convey a deep rich history in regards to the pub. The food was glorious, despite ordering way too much we dug in with gusto. Neither of us could finish our food but not without trying our hardest. If you are ever in the area, be it holidaying or simply out for the day and need somewhere to relax and eat while also walking through the thick sawdust floor then you can't go far wrong than the Tafarn Sinc. Diolch yn fawr!

If you’re looking for quirky look no further. What a gem of a pub overlooking the Welsh countryside. Railway and local memorabilia adorn the walls and ceilings, and the station set up outside just adds to its charm! Now owned and run by the community; hats off to them all for saving this lovely pub! Plenty of outside seating. We had the fish and chips (£14 + £3 for chips)and the basket meal of cod bites and chips (£8.50) The classics menu doesn’t come served with chips - you have to pay for them separately. Food was cooked fresh and was delicious. Would highly recommend.

Disappointing. Booked this place for Sunday dinner after reading about it online. Really weird atmosphere when you walk in, no music, no conversation. Locals in there suddenly started to speak Welsh as soon as they heard we were English (despite hearing them speak English when we initially walked in) this made us feel quite uncomfortable and as though a point was being made. Despite being advertised as dog friendly on their website i wouldnt say it is. There are signs everywhere about where dogs can’t go, dog fouling etc. When they realised we had our dog with us our table was moved from the cosy looking restaurant to the dog house-literally. A strange cubby hole with Saw dust on the floor, underneath the dart board and wide screen TV. The food was poor, the pork was undercooked and the vegetables over boiled. We had our dinner and drinks in less than an hour and didn’t bother to stay for another as felt so uncomfortable. I’m sure there are better, more welcoming places in the area and wish we had gone elsewhere instead.

Great little pub. Surly older bartender whom I believe is the landlady but the younger staff are excellent and far more welcoming. Aforementioned landlady treats her Welsh guests with red carpet treatment but the English barely get a grunt, which is odd as without the English visitors it would have a very limited clientele and dubious viability like many places out here and they would do well to remember that. That being said the beers are generally well kept but on occasions they need to use the correct sparklers for their beers. The butty when it is on is very good provided they've attached the correct sparkler which doesn't always happen.

Definetly not the dinner you recieve!! Seriously thought I'd invited aunt Bessie to lunch!!!! Frozen yorkshire pudding, oily gravey, carrots that had no taste, thick cheap cheese on the cauliflower, watery sweede and to top it off the whole meal was cold. When we complained we were told the waitress would get the manager. A lady arrived (the Manager as we found out after) arrived and just cleared the plates didn't say a word. We had to request to speak to the manager again, was informed that the lady who cleared the plates was the manager. Was offered a discount on our meals and a half arsed apology. When we went to pay the bill they had given us 1 free half Pepsi and the child's meal free. Baring in mind their was 4 adults eating and 1 child 2 alcoholic drinks and 4 soft drinks. Safe to say we won't be returning and paying £15.95 for a date with Aunt Bessie!!!

During our holiday i wanted to introduce the family to shooting a shotgun as they only shot airrifles before and it is near impossible to do it in the Netherlands (only laser skeet shooting). A Welsh friend booked for us and we had a blast. Rob was a great teacher and storyteller who did an excellent job at putting everyone at ease and is a prime example of 'don't judge a book by its cover'. Even my 15 year old daughter, who didn't want to shoot at first, was destroying clay pigeons in no time. He also made sure everything went safely. Our party of 5 shot 125 shells which cost us only £20 per person, very affordable. We will definately return next time we visit Wales.

We just went for coffee. Very clean, very tidy and friendly staff. Espresso and cappuccino are highly recommended.
