A group of 6 stayed for one night on business. We were greeted with superb and friendly staff on the front desk and bar. Our evening meal was lovely with no complaints. I would highly recommend the lasagne and chips but more so the onion rings. They also served a lovely Pinot Grigio. Had a very comfortable night in this older hotel. It wasn't modern but very homely. We even had a continental breakfast set for us at 0530 in the morning on request and again the gentleman was lovely and very accommodating. A lively lonely feel with impeccable and friendly customer service. I would definitely stay here again on business or pleasure.

Such a underestimated country, with rolling hills and green pastures that fill your eyes at times blow your senses West Wales is a touring experience never to forget. Based central to where we wanted to explore, Haverfordwest is a small town within a stones throw from the costal route. It was the last Bank Holiday of May and a last minute decision to getaway. We found Mariners Hotel by chance and what a find!! Friendly staff took our last minute telephone booking and on our arrival booked us swiftly into the Executive suite for our two night stay. Fantastic facilities greeted us with a lovely and thoughtfully laid out room, so relaxing after a long drive. Following a very peaceful and comfortable sleep we made our way to the breakfast room where we were again greeted by a very professional front of house team that would not be out of place in a five star London Hotel. The full "Welsh" breakfast that quickly followed was superb together with the flow of coffee. Back to our room and then off to tour the Welsh Coast. The hotel runs with an oiled system where staff and the facilities work for this wonderful hotel. Truly value for money. It has everything the touring traveller requires when discovering this underestimated land, the belly of the UK and the beating heart of the Welsh.

We have found this a very friendly place to celebrate family special occasions with wonderful food and great service. There is an excellent menu choice with well cooked, locally grown foods, beautifully presented. In a charming part of the town Hotel Mariners stands out, steeped in history, offering a warm welcome and happy memories. Thank you

Stayed here on way up to North Wales. Room 29 was clean and comfortable, however had 3 steps down to the bathroom, so was glad had torches with us, as did not want to put light in middle of night. Would have been helpful to have a shelf in bathroom to put toiletries on. Had evening meal and breakfast in the hotel and the food was good and there was plenty of it Staff were very friendly Only issues we had, was noise from a nearby pub and the receptionist informed us it was a rough pub. Also because our room over looked the front, there was some traffic noise. Finally there were some inconsiderate guests near our room who slammed their doors several times between 3 to 4am. The receptionist did apologise for this

Wasn't 100% clean and tidy but can't complain really when I had 2 out of 2 decent's night sleep. Didn't get an opportunity to try food apart from breakfast due to Covid restrictions. Breakfast was a takeaway sandwich, bag or crisps, yoghurt and bowl of cereal upon request. Would have preferred something like a crossiant in place of the sandwich and crisps. Very friendly and helpful staff Would stay here again 🙂

I stayed at this hotel during my road trip in Pembrokeshire coast. I thought the location is perfect as it’s easy to explore the coast from the hotel area. The hotel is quite good. I have no complaints. The hotel and room are well maintained. They had minimum cleaning service which is understandable during the pandemic. However they still served proper hot breakfast. The staff have done great job in providing service during this strange time.

They could not make less effort. Don’t bother booking parking- they may or may not have anywhere for you to park- and don’t care either way. The place is shabby, full of battered woodchip paper. In the rooms the cups are paper. No water. Not clean. No pictures. No doors on the wardrobe. Breakfast- no choice expect you have it or you don’t. Budget every. No taste tea bags. Just shabby. Guessing no one comes back a second time.

Lunch time is a good experience. Food options are good value, varied and the service is good. Evenings are good but it can be a busy but restrained place so don't always expect a quiet evening.

I ate here alone following a function. The specials board was extensive and I was spoiled for choice. I ordered the duck and was not disappointed. Very very nice meal.

We had a very enjoyable dinner and the service was excellent. The food was very tasty with generous portions. The restaurant is at the far end of the open-plan the public bar, but not noisy ... except for the music from the TV above our heads which was distracting until it was turned off.

My first visit to the Mariners hotel and restaurant as attending a retirement meal for a colleague. Lovely place and surroundings but the whole dining experience left myself and others really angry and disappointed!!A party of 24 was booked however due to valid reasons only 22 attended. All meals had been pre-ordered. before the evening. On sitting at our tables, the staff went through the orders and checked that all was correct, however due to 2 people not attending we, as a party were informed that we would have to pay for the meals of the non-attenders. Being informed by the staff that they had already 'been cooked!!' In order not to cause a fuss we accepted this although found it hard to believe that all the food had been cooked that far in advance!! We did request that the meals be put on the table as we were paying for them, which was undertaken. The food was good and hot on arrival and the majority of the party had good things to say about the meals they had ordered. The only negative was the duck sauce being a little heavy. This experience has left myself with not wanting to return to this establishment as I do feel that this request for payment of 2 meals out of 24 was unacceptable and if it was as stated 'already cooked', then it begs the question of freshness of the food!!The staff were attentive but a bit stressed during the service and I can appreciate the difficulty with the larger party number, however there did not appear to be any others in the restaurant that evening, which does make me wonder........

Well very good. I would recommend the lamb which was on the special board If there is a criticism it is only that the portions are too large. I suspect it would be a nice place to stay.

Not a gastro pub nor restaurant but very good quality and good size portions. Well served and fresh. Attentive staff. Eat in restaurant or bar but when I was there there was no-one in the restaurant. There were groups meeting and drinking, singles and couples and families eating.

This is a lovely place to stay we had one night here and we were very well looked after the kitchen staff came in early for us as we had a tight schedule to keep which was appreciated. The food both in the evening and breakfast was excellent would definitely stay again.

WOW....What a wonderful place. Fantastic meals! We were staying nearby with family and meeting up with local family, so got to go here three times. Sunday lunch was brilliant, my husband and I are both vegetarians, so the mushroom wellington with roast veggies was really great value. We also had the mushroom wrap which I enjoyed so much one lunch time that I had it again a few evenings later. ALL the staff were lovely and helpful, even gave us a takeaway veg for the Sunday vegetables that were left, so had bubble and squeak the next night at the rental cottage! The only thing I would say is they either need larger plates or smaller portions!! LOL
