The best restaurants in Pembrokeshire West Wales

What a gem!! I stumbled across Brown’s on my visit to Pembroke and had the most wonderful experience. Delicious traditional lamb cawl for lunch in the gorgeous 50s dining room - just fabulous. Will definitely be returning!

Bit disappointing as when we looked at the menu there was lots of breakfast options of wraps, bagels and pancake stacks. When we arrived we were given a very basic menu of just a fry up and a couple over bits. The fry up was hotel breakfast style and very basic. Beans weren't nice. The prices were different to what we had seen online too on their website.

A direct message has already been sent to this place about my experience and no response has been received as yet (nearly 2 weeks later). First of all this place used to be great…great coffee, friendly staff, great food. With this in mind, my friend and I thought Cafe Rio would be a cosy place for our heart to heart chat, Now on entry it smells and feels grubby. My initial Americano was bitter and filmy on top, just awful so I sent it back, this was replaced with a much smoother cup. My friend and I ordered the breakfast Cinnamon toast with bacon and maple syrup for £6.95. It arrived: and how disappointing -two pieces of bread, two tiny pieces of streaky bacon and a bowl of syrup. The bacon was over cooked and black in places and the bread was completely soggy and soaked in grease and syrup. We both felt sick after attempting to eat half of it, so we left it and carried on with our chat. On leaving we both decided we would privately message the place about the standard of food and see what the response would be, rather than just leaving a bad review on here. As yet neither of us has even received an acknowledgement of our complaint let alone a personal response. It’s a shame as I felt this was a place you could rely on.

The welcome was poor. I could see a staff member chatting to customers and that seemed nice. However we were ignored by another lady despite looking like tourists and not knowing to sit or order? Food was nice, fresh and is decently priced! Shouted cheerio as we left but we were ignored. Improve the welcomes and friendliness and this could be decent.

Great for children (and us adults) to feed the cutest of farm animals, set amongst picturesque surroundings. Quality food and hot drinks, selling local produce also homemade treats as gifts. Highly recommend 🐑

There were w tables served at the time we arrived. It took 15 minutes just for the lady to tell that the dish we ordered is missing some ingredients. I could've understood if they were busy, but they weren't. Overpriced, too, in my opinion, as the food itself wasn't the tastiest. They are definitely better options to try in that area. Won't recommend.

Excellent food, also amazing meal deal specials for amazing prices. Staff always cheerful and welcoming 😁 best fish n chips shop in Pembroke dock 🙂

Very greasy, poorly presented and not good quality ingredients! Very disappointing as great views and location. I didn’t even take the sausages home for the dogs!!

They all rave about the shad but it's got nothing on this place much nicer brilliant service and the food is so tasty and fresh and it actually tastes like what its supposed to not like the shad. Had a Rogan josh tasted nothing like one

Only used the bar, staff friendly

Not sure how a pizza could be so tatseless, not cheap either. Not sure why a take out in corner of Wales charge more than Glasgow

Family pre-Christmas dinner, we all had a lovely time. All of the food was freshly made and cooked to perfection. The team were friendly and attentive.

We are in a Sunday lunch club. Sadly this was the least inspiring meal yet. Meat was good, but the veg was soooo over cooked.

Had a fantastic stay at the Mariners. Very clean and comfortable rooms and really lovely staff. Handy for lots of of different areas. A special mention to the kind lady who serves breakfast who is particularly lovely. But all the staff are very warm, welcoming and can't do enough to help. We had a delicious dinner in the restaurant, too. Really good value for money and free parking. Will stay again.

This place is an absolute state they had a dartboard with no darts so it was utterly useless they had 2 pool cues and both of them had been battered to the point of having no use my mate didnt get served although he is 20 years of age just because the bartender didnt like the look of his face as he said he was ugly and that man was jumbo joel edwards but when we did get a pint of carling he dribbled in it in front of our face thats all you are getting which is abysmal. horrid customer service.
