The best restaurants in St. Mary's Monmouthshire South Wales

We were delighted to discover The Pantry yesterday. Although it was near closing time they happily accommodated 5 of us. Absolutely super food. The service was outstanding and the lady who served us was so very pleasant and convivial. We all throughly enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend it

Amazing quality sushi, always tastes so fresh. The staff are always happy to make the sushi in front of me, if it's not in the shelves as-well.

Friendly greeting as always, top food as always. Took advantage of 20% discount but wasn't main reason behind the booking (booked for Saturday at full cost). Still offered exact same service, exact same quality food / portions etc and even added complimentary papadums (which I didn't expect given the discount). They're great guys, enjoy! Sam

A lovely lunch with my favourite people. We all had Clam risotto and it was delicious. The service was outstanding.

First time trying this place and at first was a bit sceptical from seeing how quiet it was inside. However, my partner said we should just give it ago and we were not disappointed! Upon entering, the gentleman greeted us and took our drink orders. We ordered our food which was very reasonable - I did see a review that said the food was overpriced - £9 to £12 isn't overpriced for a curry unless you're used to Iceland's finest. The food was absolutely gorgeous, just the right about of spice and brimming with flavour. So glad we found this little gem and will be returning.

Absolutely brilliant food went there last night with my step daughter and her partner and husband . The waiter was really funny and the food was sublime. Very enjoyable evening would love to go again . That is why I have given this restaurant 5 stars for everything.

Finally managed to find the time to wander into this beautiful little pub to find a wonderfully kind and attentive bar man and landlord, who went out of his way to do me food and drink ahead of the main kitchen opening 😁. I then sat and enjoyed a beautifully warm and cosy dining room with a large log fire and beautiful bar 😄. Will be back again to eat and drink again to have a much bigger meal and drink and enjoy more of the barman and staffs company who kept me laughing for hours whilst my son slept peacefully next to me. Couldn't be in a warmer and more welcoming pub 🥰🍻 would definitely recommend a meal out here.

Fabulous breakfast as always, thanks First Class Cafe. I always arrive early before long journeys as it keeps me going all day, and I can avoid those awful Cafe Locals that are popping up at most stations.

Newly refurbished and now open. Had a lovely couple of pints here. This is a cosy traditional pub without being rough or unwelcoming. A great addition to Chepstow- let's make it a success!

Very friendly and welcoming staff. We had ham salad and smoked salmon salad at £7.25 each which was very reasonable. Very generous portions of ham and salmon and nice mixed salad leaves with tomato and cucumber, and balsamic glaze. Then toasted tea cake and coffee, again very nice and delivered with a smile. Will definitely go here again.

This place is great. I'd been for coffee and cake before but never appreciated how good their meals are. English breakfast is fantastic. Really looking forward to trying the Sri Lankan curry they do Thursday, Friday and Saturday as well. Brilliant location on the high street, a really nice atmosphere, personable staff and good prices. What's not to love?A Oh yes, they have an award winning loo, too.

Stopped for a coffee and piece of cake during Rememberence Sunday.All provided free with donations for Poppy Fund. Very friendly staff very clean. Menu looked good with nice selection.Will be visiting again

I have been to the Orange Crate on multiple occasions and have never had a bad experience. The wraps are delicious and the soups and the Cold War juice is my fave! Staff very friendly and great to have local.

We were on a coach holiday from North West England staying at Symmonds Yat. Chepstow was on the itinerary for a couple of hours stop.We were dropped off at the main bus station.We asked a local lady for a recommendation for a decent coffee / snack.She suggested a visit to The Palmer Centre cafe. What a fabulous little gem we found it to be. The place has a loving calm atmosphere, very clean and comfortable. The staff were excellent- friendly & welcoming to strangers ,waitress service a bonus. Food & drink excellent quality for a good price. plus outstanding washroom facilities. Would highly recommend to anyone who is visiting Chepstow to call in for a Palmer centre Cafe experience & give support to a worthwhile community facility
