We were delighted to discover The Pantry yesterday. Although it was near closing time they happily accommodated 5 of us. Absolutely super food. The service was outstanding and the lady who served us was so very pleasant and convivial. We all throughly enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend it

Went for lunch today with friends and kids. Really impressed with friendliness, generous and healthy portions as well as efficiency and very reasonably priced. Was beautiful sitting out on the cobbled street, been a while since I’ve found such a great cafe! Thank you all!

We asked The Pantry to deliver 23 afternoon teas for a hen party gathering locally and we were blown away by the quality and volume of food provided at such a reasonable price. Even the vegans, gluten and dairy intolerant party people commented on how lovely their selections were. Well done to the lovely staff can’t praise you highly enough

I regularly use this business for lunch deliveries. They’re absolutely brilliant and great service! I order online meaning no awkward conversations and the time nomination means I can time delivery between meetings. Thanks so much to all the team who always go the extra mile ❤️

They took great care of us! So friendly just when we needed it. Food was good and they catered for us even though what we wanted wasn't on the menu. Even Gave us a huge hunk of cake to say sorry for the wait! Definitely recommend. Good luck and thanks for having us! <3

I was drawn to this establishment having looked at the menu on a table outside and whilst doing so a customer sat inside put up two thumbs up and mouthed 'the food is great'. As a result I enjoyed a great full breakfast sat outside these premises. It was good value for money, including bacon, eggs, sausages, beans, hash browns and mushrooms, all served in environmentally friendly disposable singpe use cardboard box with wooden cutlery and the latte was delicious. Staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. I did have to point out that the bacon in my breakfast was hard as it has been in the warmer a bit too long but they couldn't have been more apologetic and I was swiftly served with 5 freshly cooked rashers as way of amends. A fantastic little independent business that deserves to be rushed off its feet with customers. I will definitely eat here again when in Chepstow.

This restaurant was recommended to us by our host whilst staying in nearby Newland in the Forest of Dean at Easter. We booked on-line (easy process). As we approached the restaurant we were delighted to see that Church Street was lit with festive lights (no it wasn't Xmas we visited at Easter!) which made for very pleasant start to the evening. The restaurant itself was also twinkling with decorative lights - again very pleasant. We were given a very warm welcome by the host and shown to our table. Menu's were produced and drinks order taken in short order. The regular menu is varied with specials on the blackboard - so good choice of meals. Our food was extremely well presented and was very tasty. My wife had fish and I had beef bourguignon - both were excellent The restaurant had a very relaxed atmosphere despite being busy. The host was attentive but helpful. Do book ahead - several people were turned away whilst we were there. Also please note that they closed the door to new diners at 8pm when we visited. A very enjoyable evening - we will definitely visit again when in the area.

A great choice to stay here while walking the first stages of Offa's Dyke. Arrived to enjoy a couple of pints of Wye Valley beer and a friendly welcome. Our room was very comfortable with nice little touches such as charger cables, etc. Evening meal was delicious and bettered by a wonderful breakfast cooked by Chris, the host. A great spread of fruit, cereal, full cooked breakfast, toast, coffee set us up for a long stage. Would heartily recommend the pub for a beer, meal, night or ideally all three.

Fantastic meal as usual. Great pub in an idyllic village on the Welsh side of the border. The beer garden on such a lovely day was wonderful.
