Heading to a business meeting I decided I had just enough time for a sausage sandwich. What a good choice I made. Lovely bread. Great sausages and an amazing welcome. Truly nice to find businesses that understand customer service and want to offer what the market place needs. Good luck with the business. Hope to be back soon. Especially now I have paid the tab for the shortfall in my loose change

I went out for the day on the train & fancied brunch. Its a small café which I was told had just opened (circa 3 weeks) above a nail salon. Its just off Chepstow's main street. Its a family run business, no car park of its own but a large municipal car park in short walking distance. There are stairs going up to it & the toilets are on the 1st floor with the café up another flight of stairs (pictures will show it better) Small nice clean cafe, with helpful friendly staff. I had a breakfast & its the normal cafe prices cica £7 plus a drink. I talked to the owners, the family have been in the trade for years & sounds like just taken over/on the café. To sum it up, its clean, the staff are friendly & the food was nice. Its definatlely worth a visit.

While the cafe is nothing special to look at, the owners are very friendly gentlemen and the food is cooked to order and very tasty. I had a lovely baked potato with tuna and cucumber. Its a basic cafe with good food and reasonable prices. Great for breakfast or a light lunch. Toilets are a bit weird as you have to walk through the entire back of the building to get to them and they would not be at all accessible to those with accessibility issues.

My mum and I visited Poppies today on day trip to Chepstow. This is a traditional cafe with all the standard things you would expect to see on the menu. We ordered two of the smaller breakfasts which had good choice of options to have with it. They were both nice, well cooked and we both enjoyed. The prices are very reasonable and staff welcoming and friendly. We hope to return when next in area and would recommend to anyone looking for a good 'no nonsense' cafe.

Visited my daughter and dog for day and went to Chepstow, hard to find a dog friendly place but these ladies were so welcoming and kind. We gave our order and when they brought it over to us they also had a sausage and bowl of water for the dog. How kind and thoughtful and what a nice touch. We Thoroughly recommend this place food was great as were the staff and place.

We shared 6 Vegetable dishes for lunch today, plus a pud, and every mouthful was sensational. The dishes were complex and delicious, and very satisfying. It is difficult to find good vegetarian food that I can’t cook equally well at home. These dishes really were better than anything I’ve cooked, and there was plenty of choice. Plenty of choice for carnivores too. The chefs really know how to squeeze the maximum flavour out of every ingredient. The celeriac dish was my favourite , but we couldn’t decide which was our second favourite plate of deliciousness. We’ll be back.

Took my sales team here for lunch, 10 of us in total. The food is incredible and you certainly won’t go hungry. Everyone at the pub is friendly and can’t do enough for you. Feels like a good old fashioned boozer set in an amazing position on the Wye. Everyone only had good things to say about the place. Steak is a specialty here. No hesitation in recommending the Rose and Crown. Thanks all who looked after us that day.

9 of us for dinner. Just as well we had booked as the place was rammed! No surprises why! We had a fantastic meal. I think we had the best waitress I've ever experienced and the landlord and his wife/partner put in a good shift as well and obviously the chefs. What amazed me most was I could see into the kitchen and there only appeared to be 2 people in there and I didn't hear a raised word all the time I was there! Anyway top marks Hall Inn, we all loved the experience. My wife and I live in York and we will be definately coming back when we next visit.
