The best restaurants in Butetown Cardiff South Wales

We called into the restaurant due to me and my sister thought the menu looked interesting and we opted for the three course wow the food was plentiful and very cheap and best food we both had in a while we were served buy liana a lovely waitress who made my order reguarding my allergies went smoothly and I felt safe in eating the food well done

Visited again recently for a drink with a friend. The building itself is so beautiful and worth a visit if you're in the area. The function room is gorgeous if you like period features. Amazing wood panelling and chandeliers from wonderfully high ceilings. The bar/restaurant is lovely too with a good balance of period and modern furnishings. Well worth a visit.....

Service was lovely. Attentive but not overbearing. Atmosphere was really nice and peaceful too. Food itself was okay. I think my chicken liver parfait was sat under pass lights for too long as the butter on top had melted and parfait slightly split - flavour was nice though. Fillet steak was good, well-cooked, perfect seasoning, but sear could have been stronger. Peppercorn sauce was questionable, odd consistency and not much flavour. Chips were nothing to write home about, but well-cooked and golden. Dad seemed to really enjoy his lamb. No complaints on his end. Would probably return, even if it's just for snacks as all the starters sounded incredible!

Best hot chocolate I've ever had! Although £4 is quite expensive for a small cup, it is a city centre cafe and the HC was amazing; better than anything I've had in France, Holland or Belgium and so much better value than the big chains like Starbucks et al! The staff were friendly and service very quick too!

The best curry in Cardiff! And that’s from someone who grew up down the road from the curry mile in Manchester. Highly recommend, lovely staff, diverse menu.

I only came in for a Positive smoothie, but the friendly, helpful staff and the look of the location made me decide to stay for a meal. Window seat, yes please!

One hour plus wait for the food...

Needs repairs cabinet by the till area draw broken toilet floor covered in toilet paper not pleasant

We visited the Mount Stuart for lunch with our grandchildren. We all had different meals and all were nicely presented and tasty. They were all excellent value for money too. We had a super friendly person called Alex looking after us, both at the bar and table. He made our visit even better with his great customer care. He's a credit to the venue.

Busy for a Monday night and did not book. Waiter very attentive, recommend the steak and burger
