Busy for a Monday night and did not book. Waiter very attentive, recommend the steak and burger

Not as good as it has been. Brunch lukewarm. Service very good.

The food arrived within minutes of ordering. It turned out to be the wrong order. I was disappointed there were no apologies. We had eaten and was out in 25 minutes. I felt there was no dining experience. It felt rushed, and I was let down. We have eaten in Bill's before in Cardiff town and loved it.

Food was SO good. Staff were lovely and courteous. It was my partner Woody's birthday and they gave us his meal for free! We loved it

Slow service and average food sadly. BBQ Bourbon Burger was good but the chicken was a little dry and the sea bass and fish pie were average. However, the food wasn't the biggest issue. It took at least 45 minutes between finishing starters and the mains being brought out and that was after asking where it was. I fear the issues with the food were linked to the delay, got the impression some of it had been waiting on the pass for a while. I won't be rushing back. I won't refuse to go back if someone else suggested going but I won't be recommending going back unfortunately.

I usually love Bill's and visit quite often with my friend when we go to Cardiff. However, this visit just about everything went wrong. Our order took well over an hour to arrive and was not great when it did. It is a shame because we had other people with us this time and none of them want to visit again. We were given a considerable discount and meals were taken off the bill but would have much rather have paid full price and eaten well. We were all looking forward to desert but didn't dare order anything else as there was no saying how long that would have taken.

Very good meal out with wife and kids. Quality of the food was top notch; wife and I had the Eggs Benedict, watermelon salad; kids had the mac and cheese and the fish fingers. Everything was great, and super service from Gabriel, who did a great job of looking after us. Highly recommend.

This place had good service, but the portion sizes were so terrible, I ordered a loaded fries and fries and the portion were as if it was for a baby, daylight robbery. The fries were also so hard that the fork I was using started bending. Poor food and prices for how much you get. Pretty dissatisfied

The breakfast was OK...nothing particularly special. I was disappointed that they added a 10% service charge without asking me first...I also left a cash tip! It ended up being an expensive meal! Check first before you pay!

Very nice atmosphere, came here with friends to have brunch. Waitress was very nice and friendly, definitely felt very well looked after. Very nice customer service.

Great place to eat and drink in Cardiff Bay, opposite the Mermaid Quay car park. Iwona and her team were great throughout our visit. I had the Chicken Shawarma and Veggie sharing platter. Good value for money and dog friendly.

Just disappointed. The Beef burger was cold, I should have sent it back but I didn't want to wait any longer for a new burger to arrive. You can't pay with cash, which they do not tell you up front. If you only have cash on you, they will use their own card to pay for you bill and then take the cash from you 🤣 just bizarre. The toilets are just rough, had to ask for toilet roll, they are upstairs and it's like a forgotten world up there. I'm sorry but I won't be returning and I wouldn't recommend to anyone, there are much nice restaurants in the Bay... Avoid!

I didn't have a reservation, but the kind manager made space for 1. Never heard of this place till now, menu has usual offer, I wasn't too hungry. Had the cesar salad, was OK, chicken dry, and very little dressing. Was ok, staff lovey

Disappointed that Two of our meals came out 10 mins after the other Six and that the eggs were then missing off of the final meal, causing a further five minute delay. I thought a gesture of a reduced bill or removal of one of the meals from the bill would have been made. Also disappointed that despite us mentioning it at the time of booking that no gesture was made as it was my daughter’s 18th Birthday. Not even a ‘Happy Birthday’ from the staff, even though she was wearing a big Birthday badge. This has been a regular spot for us to celebrate family occasions in the past, but will consider different options going forwards. Poor show Bills.

The food was so tasty and the service was wonderful. The staff was very efficient and welcoming.

Pleasant enough place on arrival , however we waited 35 minutes for brunch to have it served cold. It was quickly remade to be fair but it seemed like the mushrooms had been refried and over done and generally not great quality for the cost. No compensation was offered and a 12.5 % service charge was added to our bill. Over priced and not great quality or overall experience.

Food was lovely, but we were disappointed with the shift manager. My partner took my blind daughter to the loo and we were asked about drinks. I said I wanted two minutes and the waitress was fine. The shift manager came and asked again as my partner was getting back from the loo and helping our daughter to her chair. When we said we needed another minute, she simply walked off without saying a word, which we found very rude and made us feel uncomfortable.

Food very mediocre steak very tough,Service was very good Drinks very expensive £11 for two small bottles of Cider same for two cans of IPA.Hope I don't have to return.

I usually enjoy Bill's but sadly was very underwhelmed on my last visit. The restaurant wasn't very busy and felt cold. The food was mediocre & our group felt it was very overpriced for the quality. We were constantly asked about allergies to the point of ridiculousness, possibly 6/7 times. Different servers kept coming to our table which was part of the problem but the whole experience was uncomfortable. A shame but it needs a revamp and I'm certainly put off going again.

There were 6 of us. Half of us got our very pleasant food and drink nice and quickly. The other three had to wait an extra 30mins before they got served. Obviously something didn't happen the way it should. Rather upset the overall timing for the afternoon.

The service is very good. The food quality is decent, our Australian wine was very good. So I’m giving it a 5 for its nice atmosphere and quality.

Had the Eggs Florentine and it was really delicious, a bit too much hollandaise sauce however but nothing too major. Also never got a refill of water after asking for it, but it was quite busy as it was a Sunday evening. Lovely staff, been once before and will definitely come again.

We went there last night as a party of seven. It was a Saturday night but the service was slow, when the food arrived it was warm. Food had to be returned and didn't replace cutlery from our starter coarse so had to wait a while for cutlery with which food just got colder. Staff were lovely but in need of some additional costomer care issues. Complained and had a refund and to be fair they even added a voucher. Again not the staffs fault they just needed more staff for a busy night.

Busy, but relaxing atmosphere with plenty of space for family and our little dog Slight mistake with meal ordered, which they quickly corrected. Food delicious, plates emptied when finished. Thank you, we'll be back soon

Really enjoyed our visit. Wish they had Welsh draught beers, but the Peroni was great. Fish pie was fantastic, best I've had, delicious with chunks of tasty smoked seafood topped by aged Cheddar mash. Great burger too. Cheery service. Well recommended.

Had a good mid week meal here. Food was good. Service was excellent, friendly and polite. Place wasn't too noisy which I appreciate. Will be going back.

Very slow service, drinks were placed at least 15 minutes before ordering food but arrived after. Had to get waiters attention everytime.

Had a great meal tonight in Bills in Cardiff bay. Staff “ Heather “ was polite and professional with a few tasty recommendations. Prices were fair, thoroughly enjoyed eating there and Cardiff bay in general.

Food was good but the plates, cups and cuttlery was barely washed. There was tiny pieces of food and sticky pices of who knows what (this was before we got our food/drinks) and even after we asked for new plates, cups etc. They were still disgusting so if you work at Bills and you wash the dishes, please wash them properly or of you use a dishwasher then please fix the problem. Staff was friendly. Sadly, I did not think of taking a picture but if I ever come back and they still don't wash their dishes properly then I will add photos.

Food was bland and didn't seem fresh.

Sadly, we didn't have the chance to try the food. We were seated in the corner of the restaurant, and the seating was uncomfortable. The room temperature was also quite stifling. After waiting for 10 minutes without any service, we decided to leave.

Visited here for weekend brunch with friends. Nice big menu with plenty of options to choose from. My eggs on my eggs florentine were rock hard and the sauce became sickly after a while. My friends egg on her breakfast was also hard. We were rather disappointed with the food here. Plenty of options for drinks, and I highly recommend the banana colada! Recommend to book as it was very busy.

Food took a while to come, they did apologise for the delay. My food, sea bream was lukewarm and dull, but was so hungry so I just ate it. I should have let them know, but time was pressing for our show. My husband’s dish, one of the specials was only Ok too. For the price of the dishes the quality of the food is okay. I need to remember it’s a chain restaurant. Staff friendly and the restaurant clean.

Staff made you feel very welcome. Food was great and quite reasonably priced.

Was at bills in the bay last night for a long over due date night, mrs had the jerk chicken burger and I had the bbq tray. Service and food were amazing, could not have asked for a better night definitely be back again when we can get another child free night or with the little one

Yummy choices for foods, lots of breakfast choices if that's your thing but we waited and had mains, super nice seabass with pinenuts, some cocktails which were quite tasty but strong. Waitors were lovely and friendly. Suggest booking as this place was busy.

Pretty poor experience, floor was very dirty and lots of rubbish under tables, the main view was of the bins so not great ether. But the worse was how small the portion size, the burger was like a child's burger with a few chips, basically the same size as a happy meal. No draft beer, only expensive bottles. The staff were friendly and helpful, but no where near enough competition for the rest of the poor experience. Don't think I'll ever revisit a Bills

Always satisfied here, have been on many occasions and it’s always a safe bet. The ladies serving were especially lovely!

Lovely venue. Garden wonderful in the summer (today). Enjoyed the food very much. Good service We didnt want to pay the 12.5% service charge. Staff very helpful, took charge off the bill and then we paid £5 tip which is what we pay everywhere. Cashless only there.

I had Bill's brunch and it was awful , small portions and stone cold , definitely not cooked fresh, I won't be going there again.

Slight disappointment as all the meals on offer turned out to be of the pre-prepared and warmed up variety and couldn't be altered. Another unusual thing: the prices are actually even higher than on the menu as they automatically add a 12.5% surcharge for service when you pay the bill, which is done using a QR code! Caution is advised!

Love Bill's and this one is no exception. Great friendly service, seated quickly and the food was delicious. Lots of options for vegetarians.

Had a complimentary birthday bottle of Prosecco on offer from Bills so booked a table, had a delicious leisurely late lunch. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars for service was that there didn’t seem to be enough staff on duty. The service our servers gave was great, but requests were forgotten about as they were so busy.

Not up to the standard of what I was expecting. I've heard some great things about the one in Baker Street, London, so assumed this would be equally good. It was OK.... food was reasonable, chips portion was minimal. Halloumi sticks were tiny and covered in some God awful sauce - That sauce should have been put on the side as a choice to have for the customer rather than smothered over the sticks. When I told the server that it was not nice she said "ok" and didn't even bother replacing it with a portion that wasn't contaminated by the strange sauce! They were short staffed apparently, which I understand was a challenge but over looking basic customer checks is unacceptable. The stacked pancakes were given with a tiny sprinkle of fruit so I asked for some more and of course they gave another 6 pieces and had the audacity to charge for it. The chocolate sauce had a strange twang taste to it and we were refused whipped cream because they would need to get it from the bar inside..... its all a bit odd really.... Why were they being so awkward and tight with their servings? It's just an annoying experience and won't be returning here again.

Service was slow. We had to keep waving the servers over One server dropped a glass that smashed on three separate occasions. Restaurant very busy.

First time here, one minor issue but thoroughly enjoyed

This little gem of a place is something that I always go back to. Amazing fresh and quality food. The ambience is very cosy and warm. I had the fish pie and the chicken dumplings are hands down the best in town! Would recommend to anyone. Their server Riyan was very attentive and friendly I felt well taken care of.

On the whole a good dining experience. I had a tasty breakfast with my mother. Her poached eggs were perfect, mine were very overdone. I did mention this and show the eggs to the waitress who was very polite and apologised. I do feel in this situation that a gesture of goodwill should be made even if it is to take one drink off the bill.

Food was good but service was poor. I believe we were targeted as Americans. Even though we asked for tap water, and other tables received tap water in a carafe, we were given bottled water and charged for it. At the end of the meal, we could not find our waiter, so had to flag down another one to bring us a bill. We noticed they included an "optional" 12.5% "service charge" (again targeting Americans who are used to paying 15-20% tips). That was bad enough, but then the second waiter never came back with a card reader, so I had to find the manager in order to pay.

My friend and I went to Bill's for the first time recently. I ordered a very delicious Shawarma chicken bowl, just the right portion and full of flavour! Little waiting times for food, reasonable prices, first class customer service (especially from Bianca, thank you for your kindness and helping me pronounce Shawarma correctly after a few attempts) and a very relaxing atmosphere, I am definitely coming back! I am not one for leaving reviews online, but after the experience I had from Bill's they deserve 5 stars!

Absolutely fantastic experience at Bill's in Cardiff Bay. We turned up without a reservation and despite the place being quite busy, we were seated promptly and drinks orders taken quickly. I'm Coeliac which means boring gluten free dining, but in Bill's there is a whole gf menu so I didn't feel left out. I had the Fish Pie and Banoffee Sundae, both of which were different from usual gf options. They also did a gf IPA which I wasn't very keen on but nice to have the option. We were served by Gabriel. He's an absolute treasure. If you're gf, you should deffo give the place a try!

We were celebrating my son's engagement. Served by Nieve. She was wonderful! Friendly and helpful. Food delicious. On paying the bill she presented my son and his fiancee with a complimentary bottle of fizz! A really thoughtful thing to do. Greatly appreciated.

Food is so tasty and stunning. Service was fantastic so helpful accommodating and cheerful. Went for husband's birthday and they brought his dessert out singing happy birthday to him bless. Atmosphere and views stunning we booked but not necessary as they do accommodate walk ins a nice variety of menu and drinks. Beautiful restaurant highly recommend
