Wonderful experience, The waitress was welcoming and super attentative from the minute we walked in. Its a lovely restaurant with a relaxed vibe and really cosy decor. The food was excellent too. I wish I could have fit in a desert. Will be back to visit again!

Again a disappointing visit. To the good Good was lovely Table was clean The bad Our food took 40minhtes to arrive and wasn't piping hot, The payment system froze giving a 15% tip when I didn't want to give such a big tip (original bill was £50.85) but ended up being just under £60. I asked for a large print menu which wasn't given nor was I offered any alternatives. Was a bit embarrassed when I was with a date.

The food was great and we didn’t have to wait long. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Don't let the pictures fool you. It is not as good as it looks and the price is actually ridiculously high for what you get. Pork was good but skin was unbelievable hard. There was a good crunch but I was not sure if my teeth was going to survive it (not in a good way). Everything else was just average but the veggies were so disappointing. Veggies were unseasoned and some were undercooked. I can't say it was inedible but I can say it was extremely unremarkable. I am sure there are better Sunday roast spots in Cardiff, there must be :/

Always our go to pub when we are staying in cardiff. Food is always very good, drinks are a little expensive, but it never stops us eating or drinking there. Its a hike to the toilet, but there is a disabled toilet on the ground floor if you strughle with stairs. Staff always very freindly and accomodating too.

Always stop here when in Cardiff, lovely pub , quiet but nice atmosphere and ambience. The staff are friendly and helpful. Never eaten here but always busy with people ordering and the food does look good. Can't recommend enough.

First time we have eaten out on Christmas day and we werent dissapointed. The rack of lamb was delicious so would recommend that. It bit more veg would have given you top marks as some in our party didnt like brussels sprouts or parsnips. Staff were excellent.

Christmas lunch ruined - Lost our pre-order, then was served the wrong starters. Main course (beef wellington ) was inedible and had to be sent back… served with Rock hard sprouts and veg undercooked roasties. Extremely long wait for desserts .. and didn’t even get the after dinner cocktails.. then we were told they hadn’t had our payment, and then only had our deposit then finally found our payment. Extremely embarrassing. Nobody seemed to know what was going on there. Overall the service was a shambles and the food was disappointing. Complete let down on Christmas Day. Have also tried to contact them about this an haven't had a reply even phoned the restaurant an still haven't had a reply!!

Really cozy place, good atmosphere

£720 for Christmas lunch for eight of us which was very poor the veg was tiny portions of sprouts and carrots in tiny dishes no serving spoons but the dishes were so small you couldn't put a spoon in them there was nothing about it to suggest it was an Xmas dinner the starters were rank the deserts were no better so the Cornerhouse ruined what was meant to have been a happy Xmas lunch for us we had to climb teo flights of stairs to get it then another two to use a toilet so won't be going there again not at anytime

Visited here on the 20th December and would definitely go back. I'd recommend booking a table online as it does get busy especially now due to the Christmas period as they were turning people away due to no tables. Atmosphere was great along with the service and the food was amazing! Looking forward to visiting again.

Turkey roast on the festive menu was disappointing, meat good but not much gravy & green beans raw. Other peoples food was decent though in our party & good atmosphere with friendly service

Booked a table for Christmas do and was told due to number sit wod be downstairs, no problem. Then, on arrival, told group would be split over a number of tables, rather than one table. Really poor. Manager gave us two bottles of Chapeldown as an apology, but not great considering it was our works do.

I’ve visited Corner house a few times over the last year and it gets better and better every time. The food is incredible, there’s a good selection of wines and spirits and the team are lovely. Victoria has been our server more than once and is an absolute delight. Great atmosphere, and definitely one of the better spots for a meal in Cardiff

came in for drinks with my girlfriend and was delivered exceptional service and banter from the lovely Viktorie, who also recommended some nice places to drink in the area. might pop back in for dinner sometime as the food on the table next to ours looked amazing.

Came here for a last minute dinner with friends and what a lovely addition to Cardiff. Our food was absolutely perfect and the staff were very attentive and kind. The dessert deal is such a steal too! Would really recommend this place for a high quality meal with great value for money

Firstly, the food was great, Mains ordered and brought to the table in good time and were delicious. Here ends the good news! After 2 hours we had to ask for table to be cleared and then ask again to order desserts. After another 30 - 40 minutes no desserts or coffees had appeared so we queried this, only to be told that the order had not been sent through, so it was another 15 minute wait. We were told that coffees & desserts would not be charged due to the delay, but when we received the bill they had been charged. Yet another embarrassing conversation to get this rectified!!! We were also charged almost £30 per main, which we felt was excessive. Overall service was really poor and we would not wish to return - very very disappointing

Food was very good, not huge portions though. Reasonably priced food, expensive and small drinks selection. The person that served us did not seem particularly happy and berated the chef in front of us when he missed an order. The whole party felt very uncomfortable and didn't think it was very professional. We were given free drinks as an apology. I would check before hand if you have an issue with stairs, there is no lift and we were served food on the first floor. There is a disabled loo on the ground floor. The regular toilet is up on the second floor and overlooks Chippy Lane. You can actually see the Greg's out of the window. I wouldn't go here again, I don't think it gave us anything a regular pub would.

Had a goat's cheese whisky glaze tartin for a starter, an aubergine lasagne for a main and shared a bottle of Chardonnay. Food and drink was very good. The washroom needs a good clean and update. Could do with ensuring toilet roll is available. Otherwise, food is great.

I visited this place yesterday and had Sunday lunch. Superb food and the beef melted in your mouth. The chef deserves to be complimented! The staff were amazing and efficient.

£4.30 for a half pint of coke half full of ice.

So we popped in today for food over lunch and left quite underwhelmed. It wasn't particularly busy infact there might have been 30 people but including our table of 4 there must have only been 2 or 3 other tables of 2 that ordered food in the entire time we were there. All of which arrived and ordered after us. But we arrived got told we can sit anywhere drinks and food order happens pretty quickly. Only 1 of us order a starter which arrived pretty fast, then for the mains we must have waited over 45 minutes for 3 x buttermilk chicken burgers and 1 half chicken. Meanwhile one of your chefs came and sat next too today's manager who preceded to sit and flirt for over 1.30 hours in this time our food arrives which to our surprise was still hot. We then processed to wait another 45 minutes with our empty plates in front of us waiting to order our deserts. We ended up giving up waiting and asked for the bill the waitress response was she didn't even notice and tables having food. No apology or anything. Couldn't be more disappointed with the service we received today

It is one of my favourite pubs in Cardiff Centre. Dog friendly.

Called in with the dog hoping for a meal and we were made to feel really welcome. The dog was given water and biscuits. We had the set lunch and the food was lovely. Quick service but not rushed.

Went in late on , ordered 2 long Island iced teas (5 shots). Guy opened fridge and poured drinks from a pre mixed plastic bottle. Not really what you're paying for.

Love.this.little.gem. food was fantastic they have a 2 course luch menu aswell as there normal menu so plenty to choose from. Rhonda was our server, who was amazing and attentive. We waited for.nothing and the whole experience was a delight. Highly recommended

Absolutely stunning food, best food I have had in ages. Corner house did not disappoint, every mouthful had our tstebuds jumping for joy, not one single complaint! We will definitely be returning. Thank you Mike, Brett and team, we had a lovely evening 😀 We had calamari, port & cheddar mushrooms, followed by surf and turf and pork belly with scallops.

While visiting Cardiff, we popped into the corner house, for some lunch, I had the fish and chips, which was beautiful. And the staff were very polite, The assistant manager was very attentive, He made sure our meals were good and highly recommended the chocolate brownie, which was delicious!! Will be visiting next time were there.

Great Sunday roast with all the trimmings. Thrilled to see Samphire on the veg menu. Service was good but ordering at the bar was a bit odd considering the price. A few pieces of furniture need replaced or repaired but other than that an upscale pub atmosphere. Will return for the bacon wrapped stuffing. 😍

Wonderful fluffy chips, excellent friendly service and a delicious crisp pint of aspalls. Will be returning.

This area of Cardiff has a lot of activity; the Cornerstone has a great atmosphere for getting away from the bustling city and spending time with your mates. The food is top notch and the staff is super helpful and kind.
