Excellent food . We had the cavery. There was 15 in our group and the pub was very busy - so I did wonder if the food would not be too impressive due to this - but oh my gosh - it was superb. Really enjoyed. We dated up by the play centre as there were some children in the group who used it - however if you haven't got children in your group- avoid this area as it gets very noisy as you can imagine. Would definitely recommend this place x

Food not amazing they do have a toddler play area under 5s but people let any age in had a few incidents with people not watching children drinks spilled toys being taken from machine

Previous visits have been good, but this time, poor. 3 vegetarian/vegan options not on the menu this visit. 2 of us had the only veggie option on the menu, 1 meal had to be sent back as the bang bang cauliflower had been cremated

A party of 4 with one having carvery, 2 adult meals and one child.. good choice on the menu. Good service and food came out in good time. Small play area for younger children.. a couple of overpriced machines were a bit disappointing but all in all a lovely meal

Love this place, prices are reasonable, the food is lovely, the staff are friendly and the desserts are fab, especially the mars attack, we travel 60 miles from here but its worth the journey been quite a few times over the last few years.

First-time visitors. My husband and I booked a table here for food before going to the Wales Millennium Centre for a show. We arrived early and enjoyed a drink relaxing in the beer garden. We then went inside for our meal. I had the carvery, and my husband had the sirloin. Both meals were excellent and fantastic value for money. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be coming back again every time we are in Cardiff for a show.

Ethan was very welcoming as soon as we walked in the door, very helpful, food was beautiful, only one thing far to much mash potato with the pie, they must of wanted to get rid of it, otherwise fantastic

Beautiful Sunday carvery with a variety of meat and vegetables ,bustling atmosphere, variety of cakes to eat in or take away if your too full for dessert and fancy a sneaky treat later , staff lovely and friendly .

What a cracking place! The carvery was or the scale 3 different types of meat to choose from Beef,Gammon and Turkey if you can’t choose you just have a piece of each big portions too. Highly recommend worth booking in advance to avoid being turned away as the place will be packed

The cedar tree has gone down hill food was terrible used to love this place but won't ever go again .what they served us looked and tasted horrible

Very disappointed with the food cheeseburger and a beefburgers as the burgers were not very good no flavour and a very pale cream colour when I cut into the burger it just crumbled just like minced meat .we mentioned this to the lady who served the table only to be told oh well and she then walked away.She obviously mentioned this to the other staff who just glared at me until we left. After we left later in the afternoon I had a very bad attack of stomachache and spend most of the evening visiting my bathroom. My friend also had an upset stomach when we spoke later the same day

All good tasty food good atmosphere. Veggie option wasn't the best all 3 veggie eaters weren't impressed with their burgers but loved the desserts!

Pretty good, although I think that they're more of a cooked dinner place, than a cheeseburger or anything else place. Also, when I tried to play on the claw machines the coin got stuck, and I had to Jimmy it with a knife. And, it's mostly just little kid stuff there maybe put some teenage attractions there aswell. But, overall it's really good, especially the chocolate fudge cake quite big but really good.

Visit here most weeks. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Lack of Service: It says to choose a table. I had a seat and got no service. Been almost 30 minutes now and they've cleared the table next to me and even the table on the other side had time to finish, leave, table cleared and next group sat there. Eventually just left without even so much as an acknowledgement. Definitely do not reccommend

Lovely meal at The Cedar Tree today. Very busy being Mother’s Day but the place was clean and tidy, the food was good (tasty, hot and reasonable portion size ) and service was efficient. Pretty good for a hectic special occasion day. All the staff were great but special mention re Jade - friendly, fast and helpful. Wine was very reasonably priced too at £15 for a bottle of decent Chardonnay and they know how to do a decent Irish coffee. Family from the teens to Grandma had a fab time.
