Lovely food and excellent service.

Very poor service I would not recommend ordering from here! Ordered online where they said delivery was available to then accept the order and cancel it 5 minutes later after taking my money also not getting my money back straight away for a big order very unhappy!

Perfect place to go especially to grab a coffee on the go. Dog friendly so great for a stop when on your walks. Lots of food choices and fresh pastries! Definitely recommend. Staff always friendly and helpful.

Waited 2 hours for cookie dough!! Never arrived even being 5 doors up! Claimed the address was not correct - I WAS AT WORK, The building is huge and up the road literally! Customer service non existent - Never again awful

Called in for Full breakfast and was not disappointed plenty of food and what you would expect from a well run cafe.

I am travelling from Cardiff to Caerphilly just to get the best lamb shish kebab ever. The staff members are very friendly and welcoming.

Only pub I am able to take children and a dog in , we enjoy having a few games of pool, lovely atmosphere and fantastic staff.xx

We hadn’t been to the Travellers Rest for a few years but visited for dinner on a Wednesday night and were impressed. Very cosy and well presented pub with log fire burning and even Butcombe Beer on tap. We were found a table quickly despite not having a booking and the restaurant being very busy. Food and service great with a varied and enticing menu. Overall a great experience, will definitely return.

Booked for a family meal for my daughter’s birthday- received a voicemail 2.5 hours before our booking, cancelling our reservation due to staff shortage! Obviously, no time to book anywhere else. Unacceptable- how not to run a business!

Both myself and my partner attended the cwtch on Saturday in January, it was quiet compared to the Wetherspoons over the road which we thought was surprising for a weekend. We were advised to go to that pub under the pretence of live music and were shocked to see this wasn’t the case as the manager told us it was not in the business interest due to a quiet period. Cath the manager had a horrendous attitude so we made sure we were served by someone else and avoided her. We were next served by Anna, who greeted us with a smile and honestly couldn’t do enough for us. We would return if there was guaranteed entertainment and friendly competent staff.

Ordered from here for the family. All 3 of us ended up with food poising which caused 1 of the family members (my father) to be admitted to hospital. The food tasted awful! The kebab meat tasted like it had been left out for a week and then reheated in the microwave before being slapped in a box with what seems like a whole bottle of oil tipped all over the top. I will NEVER order food from here again and I suggest people look at the reviews and the food hygiene rating before buying from here themselves. I can see why the hygiene rating is 1 and shows as significant improvement needed. I won’t be surprised if this establishment gets closed because of their poor excuse of food.

Tried this place for the first time in years after hearing it was under new management just to be deeply disappointed. Everything we had was very bland. The special curry was absolutely tasteless and the chow mein was very dry. The only reason Ive given two stars is because their pricing is cheap compared to others in the area
