Fantastic welcome, very accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Food was lovely and very good value for money. Would definitely recommend.

An excellent lunch in the centre of Crickhowell, very good food from a small but well thought out menu backed up by very good service. Recommended

Ordered the 3 meals for £14.95 chicken wings chicken strips chicken nuggets The portions were very small 5 small chicken nuggets chicken wings think there was 4/5 embarrassing, then no sauces came had to pay for 3 selected sauces £2.45 so £17.95 all in not great Waitress behind bar was rude again and signal for the app was horrendous Will be carful what I order next

We always went for breakfast to the black boy but food was cold. So we left it for a few months gave it another try it was good untill today. Ordered breakfast seem to take a while and it wasn't busy. When it came it was cold on a cold plate, told the lad serving. He replied " that's strange I watched them cook it and brought it straight out". He had been behind the bar all the time so could not have watched them. He took it back and brought fresh it was hot but still on a cold plate. They could learn a lot from the guys in Shrewsbury.

Cannot cook a runny fried egg two mornings out of four. Bar staff friendly easy to park for breakfast. Such a shame but egg and bacon isn’t the same as Bacon and omelette!

Won't bother going again, cheap sausage, cheap fish, dry overcooked chips cold plates. Prices weren't that cheap almost £30. This place used to be amazing what's happened. All 4 of us were very disappointed such a shame

nice little privately run hotel. Has been beautifully renovated, very tasteful decor. Huge Breakfast, probably fill you for the whole day. Very nice, friendly service. Great restaurant in the evening

Great pub grub. Our evening meal was a salmon main and fish platter which were excellent ,all served by a helpful and pleasant young man. Good portions and excellent value.

No longer exists? There is a new restaurant now and the food is excellent 👌 I pop in June 15th and try the full breakfast 😋 restaurant open 8 a.m. till midday! Then it full menu with looks impressive 🥩🥓🥙🫕🥗🥘🥮🍽🍴😋😋 will definitely return plus when ask if I could order from bar and eat the yummy food 😋 also staff outstanding 👏👏👏 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇺🇦🇬🇧

Stumbled on the New Inn for lunch. This little pub turned out to be a bit of a gem - great, home cooked food and friendly staff. A good local crowd too to add some atmosphere!

Absolutely disgusting!!!! Upon arrival staff were really rude and gave no time to choose what I was having. I ordered a sausage and batter with chips and first thoughts was the chips hadn't been cooked properly and sausage was practically raw . Me and my friend both have suffered severe food poisoning the day after. Do not recommend!!! if I could give a 0 I would!!!!

Very basic. Confused about its identity. No contact tracing being carried out, first place we’ve encountered this issue so far. Didn’t have faith in the cleanliness. Things go downhill when you go downstairs. Graffiti everywhere and general feeling of grubbiness. Staff member pleasant enough but will not be returning.

Really good cafe, great choice of food and drinks, and speedy service. Prices very reasonable, the breakfast was large and tasty.

Had the weakest iced latte ever and when I complained I was given another exactly the same. My partner had a luke warm latte. I noted there was not a 5 rating on the cafe. Sorry I would not travel to visit this place without a decent coffee on offer. The prices were the same as the chain coffee shops. Needs a good manager as its a let down.

what a great place to stay. owner pauline is so freindly and helpful. the accomodation is basic but fine. the bar in the evening is great fun. i would recomnend as a no frills but very good b&b.
