The best restaurants in South Ayrshire South West Scotland

I visited the BUF on Saturday 13th April 2025 and received amazing customer service from the bartender Stephen. I had a very bad cold and couldn’t speak well as the busy bar, the bartended Stephen was very accommodating to myself and girlfriend and made the full experience very easy for myself multiple times throughout the night . I thanked him at the time and asked if there was a way to review his customer service and he gave me a very modest reply. Something along the lines of “you don’t need to review me, this is my job don’t worry” I had to leave a review though, 10/10 customer service and if there is any way to give him a direct tip I would love to. If there is a way to leave a tip, please reply to this review with contact information.

Order failed to be accepted, however payment taken and no order received!!! Called the restaurant and it looks like it’s not even open!!!! Absolutely shocking!!!

just had a meal for two we ordered soup that was was stone cold then Yorkshire pudding also cold the plates were warmer than the food which was not cooked right the table were filthy and all the time we were there not one table was cleaned this is the worst place i have ever had a meal if you want Corona Virus this is were you would get it the place is filthy and should be investigate by the health and safety even flies were flying about also they know how to charge for rubbish food i for one will never go to this dirty place again so what i would say stay clear of this place

My most favourite restaurant to eat in, in Ayr! Food is always delicious 😋 stagg are so nice and friendly and has a lovely atmosphere with soft music 🎶 the service is amazing and quick! Never disappointed!

Had to wait 20 minutes for chips and fritters. Very busy and loads of customers phoning in about missing meals on their delivery order. Probably be quicker driving into Ayr

Best takeaway in Ayrshire , wouldn’t go anywhere else , food is always hot and delicious and fast efficient service . Staff are friendly too .

Visited subway 2 men working could not care less. Ordered a 6 inch sub asked for all salad and got a small amount of lettuce. Also got a turkey salad that barely covered the bottom of the box. Guy had attitude when getting a fork for my salad. Not cheap at £9.37 for these item's. Won't go back to this branch

Food cold left outside hotel street door. Really? Called them 8 times and straight to VM.

One of the best Chinese cuisines I have had. Food is pretty amazing in delivery form and would imagine even better within the restaurant. Deserves 5☆

Totally abysmal. We were told there would be a 40min wait for food so ok fine with that , after an hour and seeing people arrive after us getting meals and BTW it was empty went to ask where is our food only to be told our order hadn’t even gone to the kitchen . Raging what a joke definitely won’t be back here 😡

Ordered tomato based pizza to be delivered a curry base. When I phoned to get it replaced they denied it was curry and the woman had the cheek to argue with me over the phone over it. I am 34 and know the difference between the two! Full pizza went in the bin and have requested a refund. I've added pics of the so called tomato base

Stopped for some chips and a late decision to add curry sauce on the way home this week. Having not ordered here for a long time and there being new owners at least twice since I’m pretty sure, not sure what the food would be like but not something you consider too deeply when you’re ordering chips. Chips were undercooked, and not in the least bit pleasant. £8 for some partially cooked sticks of potato? No thanks.

Disgusting establishment with next to no regard for proper food safety standards and overall terrible hygiene.Stay FAR away from this place if you value your health

Handed me my sweets without even a bag so unhygienic even cat litter left in the corner of the room.the woman at the till is dreadful,I will hope no one goes here if they experienced what I did,her shops a pigsty to say the least.never AGAIN!

Food was absolutely lovely , staff were amazing , the manager Shelley was so nice and the facility was so clean and well maintained , would definitely visit again
