Dinos in South Ayrshire

Sadly pizza oven not working on day of visit, so had a fish supper instead. Always great food from here, whatever you get.

We have just received an order from Dinos Maybole Road. My partner ordered a king rib along with chips and kids chicken mac and cheese portions, and his king rib was uneadible. He couldn't even eat it. This happened the last time he had one. Will not be giving you our money or business again!

As for a sausage supper and a chip’s cheese curry and they have went charged me 9.50 and put it all in the one dish knowing there’s two of us If they were no to busy talking between them they might get the food orders right in future

Not as good as nearby forehill chip shop but ok

Called to place an order which never was put on to cook on arrival .. staff thought it funny terrible service won’t be back

After my last 3 visits regrettably I will never be back. My order was given away to someone else, many orders went out when ordered after me and I could see the items already cooked and finally my last visit saw my sausage supper not done in batter as ordered resulting in a wait while the rest of my order was left to go cold. On arriving home I discovered my fish was done in batter despite ordering and paying for dressed fish.

Great food. Just really busy and having to wait outside in the cold til you're order is ready, isn't practical but to be fair there quick making you're order.

Order online 2 hours before pick up .’when arrived they took a while to locate order then another 15 mins to prepare it . Server was shouting and throwing food into boxes . Place was busy but service was shambolic . Food was excellent but place was being thrown into chaos by staff . Would recommend food but don't order online as no order to who gets orders first and home deliveries were taking priority over everything

Good value for money with a wide range of choices. I would rate it as higher than 3 stars but not quite enough good enough for four stars. The fish was lovely, however, the chips were good but could not describe them as above average. Keep in mind that I am fussy

Online order and second bad experience. Really disappointing. As yet no refund . Used for many years and seems deterioration. Sad.

Haddock supper was the good at all. After 20 mins ended up being VERY ILL after eating. Husband had a mouthful and said it wasn't haddock and gave to the cats, even they refused to eat. Possibly being sold as haddock. And actually whiting.....

Server was fiddling with earring wearing vest tops not hygienic then touching food no gloves no smile manners were a disgrace food was hit or miss Put me off with the lack of hygiene

Great freshly made to order fish and chips Used the chippy twice whilst staying near by £18 for two fish suppers You had a choice one or two bits of fish We went for two but with the chips it was two much I’d recommend one fish supper and the singe fish (two bits of fish ) this is more than enough for a hungry couple Definitely return if we were back down this way again

Food was cold by the time they delivered- not able to eat it. And forgot items in the order.

The wait for the order was terrible. I got 2 out of 3 meals of my order and they had to be put back into the hot plate as they forgot other meal I had ordered. After waiting over half an hour and travelling 4 miles back home the meals weren't up to much, greasy, greasy fish, Whitby scampi over cooked and dried out, chips soggy, I will certainly never return to this place again...

disgustied with their service as I normally order from them I would have put a first class service but not now I had to phone them back up as they couldn't find my postcode it will be the last time am ordering from them

Very very poor, first of all they didn't listen got order wrong 2 I could have caught the fish quicker as they were more interested in phone orders. 3 general quality was poor and cold for the price they are asking

Staff lovely. After waiting almost 2 hours for my food, my pizza was cold, chips were hard. Staff offered to send a second delivery but offer of declined as I’m not waiting another 2 hours for the same possible out come. Food is normally delicious but unfortunately as soon as I opt for a delivery the standard is not the same.

Would've been 5 out of 5 but despite ordering and paying online the food only got cooked when we turned up to collect as opposed to it being ready at the set time. Kind of unsure what the point of online ordering is?

Very disappointed with my takeaway always been a fan of Dinos pasta’s but have noticed lately that even though the price has gone up the portions and sauce content has gone down to the point when tonight I got a portion half the size of normal and basically just plain pasta with a wee bit of sauce please do better….

Awful! Pasta is a joke alongside the pizza! No taste topping whatsoever! As for the fish supper! Soggy, and disgusting!

Staff didn’t know menu. Charge machine wasn’t working had to get cash elsewhere by which time pizza was cold and disappointing. Not the first time.

Rang to order as website is faulty , staff member could not hear and 2nd staff member was rude and cross as if it was my fault. Takes 2 mins to be polite. Awful customer service!

Great place, staff great, one of my all round fav chippies... parking never a problem.

Delivery was an hour late, kids left very hungry. We called to check on it a couple of times and it was always 10minutes away, the truth would have been much better. The food was fine, apart from the one solitary bit of sweetcorn on the pizza that we had paid extra for. Will be ordering elsewhere next time.

I ordered macaroni cheese. What I got was wide pasta tubes in a runny sauce with a hint of cheese. For anyone from Dinos reading this review here is a description of macaroni. Macaroni is dry pasta shaped like narrow tubes. Made with durum wheat, macaroni is commonly cut in short lengths; curved macaroni may be referred to as elbow macaroni. NOTE THE DESCRIPTION 'NARROW'

Grabbed a lite bite sausage supper and a fish supper - both fresh and delicious

Decent fish fish chips... one of the best around around. Can be hit and miss lately depending on who is working

I had a Haddock Supper and it was great as always. I got this delivered to watch the football and it arrived on time and was hot and very tasty. I'd say it's easily the best in Ayr and possibly the best in the country. Keep up the good work.

The best breaded butterflied chicken beast supper ever. This is now my favourite takeaway dish - love it.

Had another great supper out of here tonight…. It continues to be the best in Ayr as far as I’m concerned….. well cooked and tasty .

The hygiene in this place is a new low, i observed more that a few questionable actions by staff including cross contamination and sneezing. During this current climate, I can only suggest eating from somewhere else.

Dinos have been amazing during lockdown. When they say they will deliver, they do and the food as always is DELICIOUS!

Just ordered home delivery early on, asking for it to be delivered at 7pm. It arrived at 6.15 and I can honestly say I will NEVER order from here again. The fish was so thin you could not taste it. The chips were fine but was so disappointed with the fish.....what fish??? Unfortunately not many fish and chip shops open just now and I usually just make my own. I'll be making it myself again......much cheaper and better quality. Don't waste your money here.

Excellent food and great customer service

This shop during this pandemic have sacked all there employees left kids without food because of their actions businesses like this one after this pandemic is over should be made bankrupt so thy know how it feels plus the boss preds on school girls that go in from Belmont acdamy SHOCKING SAKE PEOPLE TO BRING IN FAMILY TO WORK FOR HIM SHOP NEED BURNT TO THE GROUND

We just spent £31 on a meal from Dinos on maybole road in ayr , only to find my self chewing on a human hair. When I returned the food to them , I was told that they wouldn't issue a refund as I purchased through Just eat. Not even an apology. Do yourselves a favour , avoid this place. Terrible hygeine , terrible customer service and a terrible attitude

Had food delivered from this shop on a Saturday evening, found myself chewing on a very long hair that must have fell into the pasta. I returned the food (mine and the rest of the families ) to the shop to complain, and was told that I would not be refunded as it was via just eat and didnt even get an apology.Terrible service, terrible hygiene and terrible attitude .Avoid

Appalling delivery for a child 2 half hours then wrong address. Called so many deliverys before mine, funny the delivery was the only one disgusting making child wait to make shop look busy never be back

This place has gone way downhill. Waited 2 hours for a delivery, eventually went to collect it only to find they hadn't even started it. They must have the slowest staff of any chippy I've ever been to.

I used to go here a lot and have ordered delivery a couple of times. However orders a delivery tonight and they updated time to 20 minutes later than expected. So after waiting a total of 1 he and 20min from placing order the food arrived and was cold. Noticed my pasta was missing and phoned straight away to be asked do you want the driver to bring it out. I replied yes I paid for it and was looking forward to it, we are now 1hr again from when I phoned and still no sign of pasta or refund being delivered to my door. Absolute shambles won't be back......

Just paid £8.10 for this! What a rip off! Asked for a two fillet angel cut haddock supper... It’s definitely one fillet cut in half. Partner went back and staff argued that it wasn’t. Overpriced and average at best

Busy around tea time, great fish.

Gluten free fish n chips. Last Sunday off every month. Its delicious food and great staff, means we go every month and buy enough to freeze until next month.

Good value fish, but the chips are quite pricey, £3.20 for a large that is a pretty small portion.
