Working at the open and we wanted breakfast but not at The Open prices! Found this place and the bacon rolls absolutely hit the spot. Tremendous price, good quality bacon and great service. Will absolutely use again!

The minute we walked in the door we were blasted with the smell of what seemed like old cooking oil that had been used repeatedly. The decor was very drab and in serious need of a complete redecoration and refurbishment. The table was sticky/tacky all over and the staff gave the impression they couldn’t care less. We sat at a table for a few minutes and decided to leave. A shame because it’s in a prime position for the train station, golfers, walkers, visitors etc.

Not the most glamorous spot in town but does the job. The place needs a lick of paint and spruce up but the food is good and big portions.

Great wee place to sit outside in good weather. I use for takeaway or sitting out. All orders made fresh. Very affordable. Simple, proper cafe food. If you like traditional cafe food - uncomplicated, then this would be for you. Our family of 5 ate for under £20! We rarely sit inside as rather dated …. However, perfect for stopping off mid walk for takeaway or outside table.

I suppose this place does the job if you want a tasty breakfast or lunch at a reasonable price BUT the interior surroundings are awful and belong in the dark ages. Dirty old carpet sticky wooden furniture are the worst bits but needs attention all over. This place could be a gold mine if they actually done the place up but it's been that way for years . It's a great location opposite the golf courses as well so kind of sad that nobody cares enough to invest in the surroundings.

This is a wonderful little cafe located only a few steps from Troon station and across the road from the municipal golf clubhouse. The food is always excellent, freshly cooked and very reasonably priced. Lindsay, her dad and the team are always friendly and helpful, and the menu has a huge list of options for sit-in or carry out. I enjoy nothing more than pulling up a chair outside and relaxing while my order is being prepared. Thanks, Lindsay and Paul, and see you again soon.

An aptly named tearoom across from Troon Links Golf Club. Came with my family for brunch. Good selection to choose from, nicely priced and we opted for the cooked breakfast which was delicious. Only reason marked down as it really needs redecorated and we were staring at the hoovers as we ate! Staff could have been a bit cheerier too. Cash only which is surprising as usually card only these days!! Take out service available.

This wee tee room is on the edge of the town of Troon next to the train station and across from the golf course so ideally situated to be a real little gold mine. Food is reasonably priced and was ok. The staff could have been better but during these difficult times it might just have felt awkward for them. The only thing that truly lets it down was the decor overlook that and you’ll enjoy the menu. Just honest Scottish Fayre. Golfers go to cafe.

Nothing wrong with the food.... I had soup and coffee.. But the place is dingy and in need of a good clean. Dirty and old carpets and wooden tables that are sooo sticky. Troon has loads of good places this isn't one of them... Sorry.

This is worth the visit for a good home like style cooked meal, the Tee room looks directly onto a golf course which if sitting at the window gives you some thing to look at.

As most posters say the food is good very well priced, very popular with the golfers from across the road. Only complaint is when you come out your clothes smell of cooking, plus the place badly needs decorated and new carpet. Merc

The only thing this place has going for it is that it is cheap. It's cheap for a reason, nothing seems to be homemade, bought in pastries from some inferior bakery, mass produced and laid out with no imagination. Dirty, dank and in despair for being so uncared for, both inside and out. This cafe is a throwback to an age when Scottish hospitality was in a dark age, the type of place where the staff give you the strong sensation that they are doing you a favour by serving you. From the spotty adolescent who looked like he'd rather be anywhere else on earth to the older woman where every polite request e.g. 'is it possible to have some milk with my coffee?' was reacted to as if some huge imposition had been placed with her. Troon has some fabulous cafes, this one is in a great location and should be so much more, when I pointed out my disappointment in a polite manner to the woman running the cafe it was met with a shrug. She simply did not care, it is time for someone to take over this place and care a little.

Great late lunch today - bacon rolls and an all day breakfast. Ideal ! Just what was needed on a bit of a wet afternoon in Troon. Its also possible to park your car outside and keep an eye on your dog in the car as long as you get one of the tables where you can see out the window - we have never had a problem getting one of those. Good service, big choice of food as well as food to take-away. And ice creams etc. This is a favourite place from many visits to Troon over the years. Right across from the Troon municipal golf courses, and right next to/down from the station.

This is a gem of a tea room, restaurant , carry out establishment. Lovely surroundings complement excellent home cooking. Great for sandwiches , snacks, coffee and cakes. It also does one of the best all day breakfasts I've ever had. For only £6.95 you can have 9 different items + toast + tea, coffee or juice! (The steak square sausages are fantastic) As well as a set menu there are also daily specials. A great place to visit before or after golf or just pop,in and enjoy the food and friendly service.

The cafe got busy very quickly to being full in no time.Place seems nice enough and the food was ok, nothing special everything seemed to have been cooked in the same pan with the exception of the beans. This unassuming little establishment has often brought joy to our lives in Troon. Not only are the cakes amazing, but it has rescued us in the early hours of the morning by being - against all apparent logic and reasoning - open for us to purchase a cup of milk from!If this is not enough the pricing is also incredibly reasonable for the quality received and service. Can only say - thank you for being there.

This Café/Restaurant faces the three municipal golf courses at Troon in Ayrshire. We had golfed and went into the café attached to the courses ordered a pot of tea for two and two scones - £6.40 please. Forget it! we crossed the road to the "Tee Room" the same thing cost £2.40. We enjoyed them so much we extended our eating to something else; again the prices were astonishing. Very nice people and excellent service and the food was none too bad. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting good food at acceptable prices.

This is just behind the railway station an opposite to municipal golf course (corner of Harling Drive and Golf Crescent). It serves a very good selection of cakes and coffees and the service is bright and cheerful. The inside is reminiscent of a cricket or bowls club pavillion - very welcoming and cheery with daily newspapers on hand for customers.Well worth finding.

Greeted with a warm welcome on a cold day in this small, cosy café located by the railway station in a corner opposite the municipal golf course. It is not in the town centre and all the more pleasant for that.Called in for coffee on a cold day and spied some very tempting cakes on the counter; couldn't resist. The fruit cake was one of the most delicious and moist I have ever eaten and the coffee was lovely, again one of the most enjoyable I have had.The gentleman running the café was extremely pleasant and overall it was very relaxing place - noticed the newspapers for customers on a table in the dining area. Small, cosy and clean. The café also serves meals, sandwiches, etc., and does take out.I shall most certainly return.

Had lunch here on a quiet Wednesday afternoon. Sits on a busy corner of the main street but once inside it opens into a bar area and good restaurant area and garden overlooking the river( and boatyard). Menu has a good selection of classic pub food. Took a little time for our meal to arrive but as is was freshly made this was not a problem. The boatyard burger was one of the best burgers I have had in years and my wife was delighted with the chicken pie with mash and fresh veg. The chef knows how to cook!! If you are in Girvan this place is worth a visit for the food and the view.

Drove to Dobbie's for lunch at 1pm today. The roll and sandwich counter was busy as usual, but the hot food counter was empty, I liked the look of the cauliflour cheese, a waited to be served, and waited, and waited. To my left people were being served, to my right ( coffee point) people we being served, i made a point of looking like I would like to be served, i noticed a staff member or possibly the cafe boss made a great job of ignoring me as she wandered backward and forth several times. Eventually I gave up, I shan't be going to Debbie's Ayr any more.
