Now the Burgh bar, had a bit of a makeover. Prices cool , nice vibes, styled as a Sports Bar No food just drinks

We went to caprice for lunch on 28/12/23 With my daughter and granddaughter. We ordered a child’s burger and chips, 2 souther fried chicken sandwiches , a tuna sandwich and chips. Well…. All I can say it was awful. The burger was a dried up lump of meat on a solid roll you could have bounced off the floor . Our chicken sandwiches had 5 very small burnt pieces of chicken on two slices of bread. The salad was brown and frankly was a disgrace to even have left the kitchen . The chips were greasy, tiny bits , not one proper chip in two portions the tuna sandwich was ok but tasteless . I don’t think I have ever been served food as bad . I Should have known as the place was empty . Such a shame 😢 The young girl who served us was lovely and very apologetic . Won’t be back .

Visited here a year ago and as we were back in Prestwick this month, I thought we'd pay a visit for lunch .. what a mistake , food was dire , no one else in the place but we had to chase for our food ... never again

The Caprice is (was) one of my favourite places to eat in town. However, last night's meal was awful. My wife's fajita was burnt and was served with 3 over-large tortillas which were cold. the accompaniments (cheese, salsa and guacamole) were miniscule and the salsa was like a jelly. My crepe looked as good as usual but it was luke warm. There was no satisfaction check until we were paying. I advised the staff that, having been a regular patron for over 20 years, this had been the worst meal we had ever had in the Caprice. Sadly, the manager had gone off shift and those left showed little or no interest in my comments. In fact there was not even an apology. Standards have been slipping for some time and we have now decided to go elsewhere in future.

Very expensive for no reason? Needs updated decor and staff too busy with each other instead of serving

Good food, especially price of burgers on a Wednesday. Slow service unfortunately. If you eat outside, beware of the seagulls.

My friend's 60th birthday party was held here for 40 plus guests. Caprice buffet was amazing and great value for money. Well trained, friendly, efficient staff who couldn't do enough for us. Definitely a 5 star service and would highly recommend. Lorraine from Prestwick

Staff were great, we wondered why it was so quiet, was only us. We had been in many times before. The food was not great sadly. The fish was about 5 inches long and not flaky, like compressed pre made, the chips were okay and the peas, but was if the cook had just got a scoop and.dumped them on the plate, there was no separation or prep, was a jumbled up mess. The "coleslaw" was about a desert spoon in a paper cup. Such a shame. Sadly won't be back for.lunches

I had white bloomer tuna mayo sandwich, the bread was not fresh and it was not white bloomer it was a malt colour. The waitress forgot to give us cutlery! The main reason I'm giving this review is because we were charged £3.40 for a half pint glass of soda water no lemon or lime or ice! That's outrageous when most visitors will have driven there. When we complained staff were not interested. We will not be back and we would not recommend this place for lunch.

Lovely way to spend a Saturday afternoon enjoying a couple of beers in the sun. Service could have been better. Bar staff had to ask other members of staff how to make drinks, not good. Quite pricey but overall a nice afternoon.

Early Sunday evening and many Prestwick establishments were bubbling with the sound of families celebrating Father’s Day. Not Caprice. I went because it was quiet. It was quiet for a reason. I ate a starter and drank a beer and left. Not only was it depressingly empty, the staff not terribly bothered and the food barely edible, but it was expensive too. Left and had a very warm welcome and tasty pizza in Vito’s along the road. And the beer was much cheaper too.

Lovely staff.. Food was delicious, although we only had nachos to share and drinks. It was our 2nd visit whilst house hunting. Will be returning. Dog friendly too which is a bonus.

Visited with family for a meal and drinks. I love this place as the food is always great, staff are lovely and drinks are fabulous. We sat outside in the sunshine and everything was great. Have been going here for years and love the fact you can have a conversation and it's dog friendly too. Meals are well priced, big portions and drinks are little more expensive but we'll made.

It's a place which has been around a long time. It may need to check out the competition, as it's a bit tired. Clean and nice outdoor space.

We visited on an impromptu visit to Prestwick (3 adults, 2 children and a dog). Both the service provided (throughout our time at the bar/restaurant) and the food was also very nice (freshly made). When visiting I would definitely return.

Went into caprice saturday for a drink. Nice place. But very expensive for drinks. Same two drinks at golf inn along road.. is £5 cheaper… also £5 cheaper in another 2 pubs further down the road including the red lion , wont be back in .

Went for lunch today 2nd Dec along with our cocker spaniel Stanley. We had a lovely lunch and we ordered a cooked sausage for Stanley. Lunch was delicious and Stanley's sausage came all chopped up. He was also treated to a bowl of water and a small dog treat. We were served by 2 young men who were very welcoming and treated us so well. Thankyou very much

We always make a point of going to Caprice when we visit Prestwick. Was quiet no atmosphere not surprising what we got charged for 2 drinks. Can understand why people are going elsewhere.

Smart bar, good service friendly staff, beer garden a true gem

Staff very pleasant but our meals weren't good at all. Pancakes and bacon burnt and scrambled eggs almost inedible.

Staff were great but scones were terrible.

Very enjoyable visit on probably the hottest day of the year so far. Cold beer and wine on the terrace along with tempura chicken and sweet fries. The staff were friendly and efficient. The prices are maybe on the high side but you pay for the ambience. Nice mezzanine area.

Unexpected delight! Popped in with my father to grab a very late afternoon bite. Fresh, airy decor, sparkly clean, great first impression. Short version? Attentive friendly service (slow to begin with), good starter, great main. Longer version? Fresh pork belly cuts cooked to melting perfection, served with pak choi, carrot, slivers of ginger, hoi sin, vinegar, chopped chilli, seasoning and garnished with sesame seeds . Superb grub, presented extremely well, made the wait worthwhile. Will definitely return here and I would recommend a visit to those who have the time to devote to a good meal. Edit: also worth mentioning that the premises are readily accessible for those with a disability.

Stopped for lunch. Had some tempura prawns which were nice and some chilli fries which tasty but not spicy. There were a couple of decent beers on tap. Service was very good.

This was recommended to us by a local it truly didn't disappoint.lovely day sat out in the back courtyard service excellent had the small flat bread pizza with shrimp and prawns the king prawns gorgeous. We shared a side salad whow what an amazing salad bowl for £2.95 ! Mixed lettuce leaves baby tomatoes radish, cucumber blueberries strawberry ,avocado ,red pepper apple, it truly was gorgeous, unbelievable value for money.We were visiting but would go back for sure great location on the high street lovely vino very reasonably priced well done visit this place you won't be disappointed

I have visited Caprice here in Prestwick quite a lot. One of the local Bar/Restaurants in the area that Mrs M and I would go back to time and time again. Dog Friendly too.Andy and his friendly staff are amazing they look after you as soon as you arrive there are some Bar/Restaurants that don't even do that? The food is great as well as the drink

Just went in for a scone and a coffee and the staff are very friendly and helpful we had a dog with us and the staff got a water bowl and the scones where excellent .

Sat in the sunny beer garden. Staff were friendly and attentive. Place is spotless and clean so no Covid worries. Nice food menu which we will sample on next visit.

The Lobster was overcooked and felt abit ill the day after. Im pretty sure it had been reheated was very chewy

My three friends and i went to Caprice Saturday 29th August. The service was so slow. Waited 35 mins for drink and menu. Food mediocre and bland. Halloumi burger was a rip off. 2 tiny bits on a bun. The retro scampi was awful dry and boring. All the meals were sad and portions small. Bottle of wine was ordered . No glasses. For 15 mins after chasing staff. Disaster from start to finish. Coffee was ordered because we couldn't wait another 45mins for pudding. That took another 35mins. All in all an eye opener. An experience we will certainly not repeat. Will not recommend to any family or friends. I would have made a fuss on the day but as my dear friend booked the restaurant and felt bad. I did not want to upset her further.

The scallops are unpleasant, with salty bacon and an oily sharp citrus "sauce", avoid. The steak was not rare as requested, instead med-well. Chicken tempura was dry in greasy batter. The steak pie had a strange taste that didn't belong. We couldn't finish any of these. We didn't stay for desert! That staff member verged on having her hand out in the expectation of a tip she didn't deserve, which was quite an uncomfortable situation.
