Costa Coffee in South Ayrshire

I visit the shop daily, and have done for the last few years. The staff are amazing and know exactly what i like and how i like it, you can’t beat service like that. The shop is always well stocked, clean and tidy with a lovely welcoming atmosphere.

This is a place that I frequent very often...3 to 4 times a week. I can with all honesty say I am a Costa coffee lover. I don't give my rating based on the coffee or food because that is great as expected from this company. What has really irked me over the last 3 weeks is that they have jumped on the profit bandwagon (as if they need to), and started to let dogs into the shops. I find this utterly disgusting that a place I could go to relax and enjoy my free time now has to be shared with an animal. How can this possibly be within health and safety guidelines??? Can owners stop their dogs doing the toilet on the floor ? Do owners wipe their dogs backsides before coming into the shop ? Can the owners stop the 'damp dog' smell when they come in out the rain ? One thing on this visit though that really hit it home....a thoughtful owner letting their dog lick off one of the plates....shocking. Come on Costa....back outside for dogs.

Had a most welcome coffee and cake at this branch of Costa. Spoke to Ruby, Gracie and Don who were so friendly and attentive during our visit. They were always smiling and are great ambassadors for the company. Menu is varied and caters for all tastes. Well worth a visit when in the area. Will be back for sure.

Last few times been here the coffee has not been great, ive had to ask for another shot. Changed to hot chocolate today, but unfortunately also very weak and tasteless!

Was here for a lovely lunch! Don’t normally go chain places but thought I’d give it a bash. While being served a woman called briony as i believe was being so so rude to other staff on shift. Made the entire experience super uncomfortable for me and my family. Not what u want to see won’t be back due to this! Thought better of the management in this store. Assuming she’s a manager based off the way she way she spoke to other staff?

Take away coffee after nightshift Staff were lovely Coffee was like warm milk and water with a hint of coffee somewhere 🫤

Staff behind the bar were clearly more interested in their own conversation than taking my order. I had to ask repeatedly for my coffee to be decaf as the girl was too busy reading off the screen as opposed to engaging with the customer in front of her. To top it off the croissant was stale. I won't be back to this particular venue.

Popped into Costa Heathfield this morning, staff couldn’t have been more friendly, polite and attentive, such a rarity these days.

Could use extra staff for keeping up with clearing and cleaning tables. Always busy and seem understaffed

I love my coffee. The quality of the coffee can vary more in this store, than in the Costa in the town centre. The appearance of flat white, let's me know how skilled the barista is. If I am paying for a quality product I expect a better coffee than the Costa machine. The Heathfied store is a bit variable in that regard. The staff are friendly.

Hi I was in. The boys toilet it was disgusting I was angry at the mess I was appalled that it wasn't clean and the disabled toilet was out of order I won't be back in to use your toilet

Food and drink were fine. The place was not clean. Floors, tables, seats and windowsills need a good clean.

Had amazing customer service today from the team at Costa Heathfield,Ayr. It was so busy it was almost queued out the door but the team were still very friendly, helpful and provided excellent service.

Prestwick is one of my favourite stores as it's nice and quiet which I love as I enjoy reading,Lawrence and his staff are so friendly

Great little Costa, always busy and a good atmosphere. Good selection of cakes and the new festive choces are decent...roasted Hazelnut latte is must. Parking is plentiful. Can be busy and seating limited when it is.

When they get the automatic door fixed for wheelchair users it will be 5 star all round

Disappointed to arrive at 18.55 for a quick cuppa to discover already closed despite a closing time of 7pm ?

Was in yesterday , Sunday 23 July 23, for 2 large coffees to takeaway. Ordered on the app for speed. Whoever the barista was on duty clearly needs to check their measurements when heating the milk as both coffees were half full with the remainder froth. If I’d have had time I would have returned them. Expensive enough but to be short changed on portion size isn’t acceptable.

Clean cafe, quick service. Indoor seating isn't the best but outdoor tables are available for those who want to enjoy the weather.

Popped in to get a takeaway coffee at 17.53. Door open snd 8-10 people still sitting in. Abruptly told they were closed by rude young girl with ponytail. Explained only wanted takeaway and she firmly and abruptly told “we are closed”. She was poorly trained and rude … sorry costa you have just lost a loyal and regular customer.. better, politer and more professional staff needed. There is a way to treat/speak to customers and this girl hasn’t a clue!!! Dissapointed! ..,

I visited Costa at Ayr Whitletts Roundabout 5/5/23 at 0815. The two team members on were absolutely fabulous! I would like them recognised for how efficient they were - it was a very busy shop and they were super fast at getting orders out whilst still serving with a smile. Made my morning. Thank you.

Always make a point of visiting this venue. Coffee is perfect plus very good value for money bacon rolls. Friendly and helpful staff.

Slow service, tables not cleared

Regular visitor to this coffee shop throughout 2022 and will continue to be through 2023. Great for a coffee and a cake at anytime of the day. Very clean and coffee and cakes are very nice.

We stop by for a coffee and hot chocolate whilst it was raining 🌧 outside. It was not to busy and service was quick. You cannot beat a Costa coffee. ☕️👌

this is Clean well represented Costa, when I arrived i asked to use the toilets first and it was perfectly Ok, and the staff sad so, the drink was good quality. and the tables were cleared quickly and tables cleaned

Visited this coffee shop while shopping nearby. Met by the amazing Lucy who was so attentive and friendly during our visit. She was always busy but still had time to meet and greet customers. She is a great ambassador for the company. Coffee and cake was to die for and we will be back for sure. When calling in to the shop ask for the wonderful Lucy.

Decent coffee and snacks... one of the better Costas I think

Costa has always had a good standard of food and drink and now they have M&S food.

Almost £12 for 2 small coffees and small slice cake,

I had 2 cinnamon swirls to take away to a friend's. We were more than disappointed. Couldn't take more than one bit, they were as dry as a bone, they must've been about a week old. Not good enough.

This is one of the worst Costas I've ever been in. Staff are always gossiping and have no interest in customers. The coffee is so bad it's verging on disgusting. Very poorly run.

Popped for some take away coffee with my hubby. Drinks took about 15 minutes and were fine

Excellent coffee as usual, served by friendly knowledgeable staff.

My partner and I visited today. I had to wait for ten minutes before i was even acknowledged as the que was long and people were waiting for there orders. There were only two girls behjnd the counter both without masks. Well one had a mask under her chin! When i was eventually served. There was no apology for the wait. I said you are busy and she just shrugged her shoulders. I paid for my order which was a cappuccino and a hot chocolate. My partner said his drink tasted like warm milk, like there was barely any chocolate in it. My seat was by the the counter and as i looked at the floor behind the counter it was filthy with a tray on the floor. The staff do not seem happy at all, its a shame. Not a pleasant experience though!

Standard premises, no real interaction with staff apart from initial service. Drinks were OK.

Superb Costa branch, always friendly and never too long a wait.

Had a hot chocolate and so did my 2 year old. I tasted mine and let's say the infant didn't have to wait on it cooling . Had to drink full cup right away as the heat had evaporated so quick.

Always pop in for a takeaway coffee when I'm in the area. The place is clean, the staff are lovely but always encounter customers in the queue not wearing masks. Better signage to remind people might help.

Usually enjoy going to this Costa but this evening was a different story. The way I was spoken to by the girl behind the counter was disgusting. And the dirty looks I got after I sat down. Very disappointed.

Service good and very accommodating but quite expensive for coffee and cake.

I would not have sat in this restaurant even if I wanted too. I got a carry out coffee and sat outside to drink it. The place was very dirty looking. The tables were littered with dirty crockery. The staff looked under pressure. This place is not up to the usual Costa coffee shop standard.

I love going to this Costa. Staff are fantastic and the cappuccino and cakes are brilliant. My favourite place to have a cappuccino made the way I like it and to sit and read for an hour or so. Keep up the good work Tom

One of the employees with a beard walked out and told us that they were shutting early and couldn't be bothered so just go home, dreams crushed.

Was seated at uncleaned table, invited to scan to register my name etc, I had the app, didn't work, then offered a laptop to input details. What a joke, if the table wasn't clean..... went next door and got a Subway Latte, very nice

Got turned away for being a family of five seemingly they only do tables of four, the man server was rude and uninviting
