Flames Indian Tandoori in South Ayrshire

Bought 2 chicken kebabs tea time 6pm yesterday ,bill was £18.50 trying to be healthy . Salad and chicken . Hubby had some salad left and he forked it up something white crawled out of the remaining lettuce. After examining it it was a maggot alive . . Disgusted we binned mines and felt ill for hours at the thought of this . Didnt phone to complain because thought it was pointless at that stage , hubby had ate most , I hadnt though , but I need public to know serious hygiene issues for what I believed was always a decent takeaway . Not anymore WILL NOT BE BACK .Absolutely disgusting !!

Ordered tomato based pizza to be delivered a curry base. When I phoned to get it replaced they denied it was curry and the woman had the cheek to argue with me over the phone over it. I am 34 and know the difference between the two! Full pizza went in the bin and have requested a refund. I've added pics of the so called tomato base

I hate to say but stopped in for chips and cheese on the way home and it was possibly the worst I've had. The chips weren't cooked properly so totally ruined it. Sorry but absolutely rank.

We used to get fabulous meals from Flames when we lived in Ayr. But we are so very very disappointed with the bland tasteless and very limited content that we received in our meal today (1/6/24). Will most definitely not be back.

Large mixed kebab. 2 bits of chicken 3 bits of lamb and the rest cheap kebab meat. There are no onions in the salad. It was a poor effort, and I won't be using it again!

Walk in customer, chips were OK, curry sauce was very skimpy and left much to be desired. Staff argued with me about payment rather than explaining the situation, not sure I'll be back.

Delicious food at a great price. Very happy with Flames.

Curry base pizza waz decent as waz the curry !

Ordered chicken bhuna and lamb saag . Chicken had more tomatoes than anything lamb had six small pieces and and tadted like s tub of salt wont be ordering ever

We ordered last month without any issue on just eat. Did a repeat order this evening. Took order then the driver has phoned to say we dont deliver there. 2 hours wasted waiting on food. Driver is exactly between our house and his base. Food wated and we have to contact justeat for a refund

Use to be absolutely amazing but in last month has gone down hill

best take food in whole Ayrshire as every thing made fresh to order.

Chips and pakora were over cooked to the point were inedible, curry not much better with watery sauce n minimal chicken meat. Won't use again.

Food was tasty enough, but the staff are ignorant, they look angry for having to work, they ignore questions and talk over you in their own language, I have no problems in people speaking their native tongue but try learning the local language too it helps keep relations between nationalities civil. PS, all 3 of us that ate from there had got rot the next day (from kebabs?) & that's no bloody good! Plus its cash only.

Fabulous vegetable curry medium strength with nan bread it's gorgeous + staff are very pleasant . 🙂🙂.

Ordered a chips,cheese, donner meat and sauce, nearly £6 and got barely any chips, 2 or 3 strands of donner and a slither of sauce!! I’m not even exaggerating, I took a pic but can’t upload, I used to like flames but I’d rather go elsewhere now

Should offer more vegetarian options

The food can be of quite good quality when collected, but when using just eat, the quality drops somewhat and orders are often cancelled as they have 'decided to close early '.

The best take-away, they will do what you ask them to do. Especially when you're allergic to certain foods. Guid wee place.

phoned order at 11.30 pm had it 20mins later chips are good but donner calzone half cooked very doughe and small, found small strand of a man's hair in calzone,, yuck!!

So ..... I have been going to this place for quite some time now and each and every time when I enter the place I am greeted with cleanliness. This has got to be the cleanest Indian take away place I have ever seen. Unfortunately if your in a wheel chair you'll have to get a stranger in the street to go in for you ( unless you have real pals) ....the food has each time been beautifully freshly cooked to order and tastes amazing again...each and every time. I highly.recommend this place

Been my indian takeaway for years. Always great food,fresh, tasty. friendly staff that give a warm welcome upon entering always like a good chat. Highly recommended

pizza came on time but was half crushed into 1 side of the box as if it wer throwen into the delivery car topping kept falling off trying to get it out the box and most important it wasnt the 12" pizza that we orderd was smaller in a 12" pizza box, we woulnt be ordering from there again.
