Been there time ago and didn't seem anything outstanding, decided to give another try and order to take away. The quality was even worst than before and the price ridiculously high for the lousy food. The menu is very limited now and not showing prices thus you can get a nasty surprise afterwards.
Ordered dumplings and came with 4 little bites at 9.50 quid (???) Fried rice and fried noodles are anything but thai, Chinese perhaps, bland, overcooked and unsavoury, absolutely rubbish.
Ordered 2 curries and were even worst, unsalted with a sniff of curry, the king prawns with 5 units at 16.95 absolute steal, yhe chicken one was the same story, tasteless, dull, boring.
I hardly doubt they even have a thai chef as he will be ashamed to serve that pathetic food. Price is utterly ridiculous for the portions, better to jump on the neighbour Chinese take way at least they dont cheat.

Haven't been to the Moonfish in some time but was delighted to be back for lunch. The set menu was great and the food and service was excellent. The meal was rounded off with the most amazing desert I have had in years, almost ordered another! Only drawback is that it's always busy and difficult to get a table.. Reservations ahead of time are a must... I need to be more organised!

Stopped past for a coffee to go with my mum after being at the vet. The gentleman that served me couldn't have been more helpful! He saw my dog wasn't too happy being left outside with my mum and offered to take our coffee out to us! I haven't ever had that from anywhere here! I haven't stopped telling people about the service we received and of course the gorgeous coffee too! You've 100.% got a new customer
Incidentally this was my first visit and it couldn't have been better!!
I had my first meal here today, I will be back that's for sure. Great atmosphere, service was fab! Food is so nice. I enjoyed every piece of it. Also their coffee was so tasty I had 2 and they catered for my milk allergies and oat milk coffee it was. Such nice staff polite and helpful. Thanks City bar, see you again soon 😀

Wonderful overnight stay. I was going to a concert at the P&j with my Bestie. It was easy to get there. The hotel was quirky, bright and the staff were helpful and friendly. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. Generally a lovely hotel to stay in, funky and well equipped. Thank you. Looking forward to returning again soon
This Bistro is as good as it gets, there again last Saturday evening with friends and had an excellent dinner. Great starters of scallops & soup, lobster mains and one other main which escapes me, oh and managed a sweet, fabulous. A few drinks including a couple of bottles of wine, very.
The sad news is, we were told it was closing permanently the following evening Sunday and it has, due to lack of business which is a terrible shame. We travelled all the way up from Laurencekirk picking up friends en-route as we have done in the past. It a shame an establishment like this have closed.
The word inspiration equals impunity because the food has nothing Jamaican about it, the prices are astronomical and the portions are ridiculously small (4 slices of banana £4.50) which doesn't even make 1 whole banana ridiculous🙄.
The Jerk sauce is yellow (I've never seen one like that). The flavor isn't there which is an insult to Jamaican cuisine. Now I don't know if that's because there are no Jamaicans in the kitchen or if it was adapted to the Scottish palate 🤷🏾♀️
Smallest cocktail ever for £11. Pint of lager over £5 . Rip off for the cocktail . Better places with better prices . We would have had dinner but didn't want to pay same again so left .
We did not stay at the hotel, just stopped in for lunch. It was a wonderful lunch. They do an over 60s special on a Friday. We had a three course lunch and every course was amazing. The staff were super friendly and helpful.
Lovely and fair-priced lunch with homemade soups, cakes, scones and even batteries on Sundays.
Barely 150m from the harbour, but very reasonable prices. I had really nice Cullen Skink and a wee cake.
I was here with my aunt. We had the special: a falafel toasted wrap with mango chutney and hummus. It was a lovely atmosphere. I have had cakes and carry-outs from here. That was the first time I had lunch there, and it was tasty.
