Delicious food and well looked after by the staff. Not cheap though.

Had a beef massaman curry and a chicken pad Thai and it was amazing. The potatoes in the massaman could’ve been a little tastier but other than that it was perfect. They also got two parts of my order wrong but rectified it quickly, which was good.

Myself and my partner have been going to Koi Thai since their opening on Rosemount in 2019. Best chicken satay I’ve ever tasted, it can’t be replicated!! Always a great experience whether dining in or out, can’t recommend more! :~)

We just had the most wonderful takeout from Koi Thai. The food was excellent and the staff were so lovely! Would definitely recommend!

we arrived after booking a table, the lady scooted past tables with me in tow and tapped the table didn’t even stop to say it was our table. so i took it it was our table. we were sat so close to the other table that me and my daughter heard everything that they said and vice versa. the gentleman who served us was his first night he was absolutely great, explained to us his first night and would have been please had we got him from start to finish, unfortunately we didn’t, the food was nice but very rushed, when i couldn’t finish my main meal after it was served right after our starter with no break in betweeen, i asked if i could get it to take away!!! as i had hardly touched it, the girl that showed us to the table to start with marched to the kitchen and came back to the table with an empty container sat it on the table and walked away, i’ve been in catering and hospitality for over 30 years and i have never ever seen service like this,not only did i have to put the food into the container at the table but there was no bag to put it in, i was totally gobsmacked, it’s a shame as the food was good but the service was absolutely abismal.

The food was nice but the portions were too small for my liking. I had a very strong sense that we were being hurried out, with what I felt were anxious glances near when our time was up. They tell us when we have to leave when we go in. Maybe this is because they are very busy on a Saturday evening.

Decided to take my wife here for her Birthday and have to say it was better than expected, a lovely restaurant with beautiful decor, the food was excellent and didn’t disappoint, haven eaten Thai and Chinese many times before this definitely stood out, very fresh, light and tasty, definitely will be back with friends

We go here fairly often and NEVER has it disappointed us, the waiters and waitresses are lovely and helpful, they always make us feel welcome. The food is the best Thai I’ve ever had, the flavours are amazing!

Jungle curry incredibly small and very watery/greasy. Not good value for money at all. Noodles completely tasteless. Second bad experience here and won't be back.

We came in for a lunch on a Sunday before heading out for some drinks. Food was great, friendly staff and very reasonably priced.

Quite disappointed with the food here considering the high rating. The food was overly sweet, high price yet small portions. Very noisy inside hard to hear the person across the table. Not going there again

My favourite Thai restaurant in Aberdeen! From a warm welcome to great food, I always love to visit here. I’ve enjoyed meals in the restaurant and takeaways. Food is always delicious!!!

Lovely restaurant with lovely staff, we just had a meal for 2, staff were absolutely lovely and very attentive, sat at your table and given a jug of water and some prawn crackers while you’re deciding on food, order was taken and food came out in a reasonable time. Food was stunning! If you’re looking for Thai dining this is the place to go, there was a slight issue with one of the items my partner ordered staff we’re extremely apologetic and offered us a replacement, we politely declined as we were off into town so the item was discounted and the owner/manager personally came and apologized which was a nice touch, she was a really nice lady and the gesture was appreciated. All the waiting staff we encountered were very sweet and all seemed happy in their roles which is always a nice sight, restaurant was also very nice decor is lovely and it’s nice and bright, as already mentioned if you’re looking for Thai dining this is the place to go

The place smells authentic Thai food soon as you come in the door. Starters fish cakes, ribs and chicken skewer were all very good, all our main courses were very authentic, the phad Thai, green curry, massuman curry. Desserts were not disappointing either. Highly recommended for food but not for ambience. Staff are really friendly too and food came really fast.

My husband booked a table for 3 tonight and I'm so glad we got in! This was our first time here and it did not disappoint! The food is absolutely delicious with an authentic taste. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming with lots of lovely staff happy to serve and assist in any way! Highly recommend!! First Class in every way!

Disappointed with our latest visit. We had been before and really enjoyed it, so had been gifted a £100 voucher. We ordered the mixed seafood platter as starter, but when it arrived the butterfly prawns were icy cold. The staff replaced quickly, however left the cold prawns on the table, and especially as I’m currently pregnant, it left me questioning how much I could trust the food. There was no offer to remove this from our bill. At the end of the meal I handed over our voucher (£100) for our bill (£85), however the waitress returned to the table to ask if we wanted more drinks as the voucher code could only been used once. I explained we didn’t want any more drinks and we intended to use the leftover balance for a take away at a later date. She then spoke to her manager who resolved the issue, either a case of staff being told to push to use a voucher just once, or staff not being aware of how to use them. Either way it left a bit of an awkward atmosphere hanging over the end of the meal, a shame as this would’ve been one of my favourite spots in Aberdeen but we won’t rush back.

The food , starters and mains, was very tasty however the portion sizes were extremely small and there was very little meat in the meals. My main was the Jungle Curry and it was basically a salad broth with a few slivers of chicken. The rice had to be ordered separately and again was a small ramekin. Some rice crackers were complimentary and I counted 10 for 3 people! Very poor value for money.

This was my first visit to the Restaurant which is located in the heart of Rosemount (a popular suburb of Aberdeen). My partner is coeliac (requiring dishes to be Gluten Free) and we were delighted to see plenty choice. We opted for the set menu, which promised a gluten free adaption. Despite an initial miscommunication where our gluten free dishes were brought out on the same plate as gluten containing items, the taste and flavour was excellent. Unfortunately we found the portion size, and lack of meat in the dishes very disappointing (considering the price we paid). This coupled with the long waits of over an hour between courses (and the lack of attention given, no offer of a new drink or asking how our food was) means we will not return.

First in person visit post COVID, although we have had many deliveries in the last few years. Prices have gone up a bit, but haven't they everywhere? As good as ever and still our favourite Thai restaurant in Aberdeen. Must visit more often!

We have been regular customers since this place opened. Sitting in every few weekends and takeaway most weeks. Over the last couple of months the take aways have always been late (25 minutes 2 weeks ago and 17 minutes today)... Late food is a minor inconvenience normally but we get fish and scampi for my kids from across the road (Fish n Hook) which always gets cold due to the delays. Again it could be tolerated if the food served was edible... Today the green curry was slop with the coconut milk completely split and the basil pork was pale and tasteless. The battered fried sea bass was soggy in oil (due to oil getting temperature completely wrong).

Despite there being a rude and disrespectful customer in front of us, the staff were amazing, food served to the same high standard as always, despite it being super busy. Staff are always so friendly and food is fresh and delicious. Never had a bad meal from here ever. Cannot recommend it enough!

My second time here. Had a very nice meal on my first visit that I took my sister and boyfriend as they enjoy Thai food. We were disappointed. Soup were bland, starters were overcooked and the curry dish wasn't what we expected. The waitress did explain what it was like but still wasn't a good experience at all. The restaurant was busy with 2 parties so maybe that was the reason food were overcooked. Will go back but not in a hurry.

Lively evening with a large party didn't impinge on our celebrations. Food was tasty and service excellent. Only negative was prawn toast was a bit too thick.

This is a hidden gem in Rosemount Aberdeen. Excellent authentic thai food, cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Add to this the friendly banter of their resident waiter who tried to teach us ‘thank you’ in his language, this provides a wonderful homely ambiance. The building and decor takes you straight to the orient. The only improvement I would suggest is a teapot and fresh tea leaves for your jasmine tea instead of a teabag in a cup! Otherwise everything is just perfect with this restaurant- thank you for some excellent lunches. We will be back!

Masaman curry was the best I’ve had in Aberdeen! Staff are friendly, attentive without being intrusive and very knowledgable about the menu and any changes you’d like to make to your choice of curries. Parking was easy on rosemount place next to the sainsbury’s. The staff were very good with allergies and were very reassuring. The wait for food was less 10 minutes! 😀There were options for spiciness and convert almost any dish to veggie or vegan. 🌱 The staff were lovely and the restaurant has a great atmosphere.

For Scottish standards, I have to admit that this restaurant serves one of the better Thai food around. We have been to this restaurant a couple of times and the most recent one was just 2 weeks ago. The tom yum goong, pad thai, papaya salad, beef green curry are one of the better ones served in this region. I noticed that their portions have shrunk and their prices have gone up recently - the last time before the recent trip was in August last year when I last visited Aberdeen ...

I have visited this restaurant a couple of times now and neither has disappointed! The customer service is just excellent - you receive a warm welcome, the staff are attentive and they make your dish fresh to order so will do the spice level according to your taste. My friends and I all ordered something different and everyone said there’s was delicious! They were also more than happy to cater to my friends allergies.

Food is excellent and portion size in line with value for money. Saturday night had several very large birthday parties so was very loud. Overall quality food and clean.

It's close by to where I live, The waiter was super supportive and warm, they do halaal chicken, the food were claimed to be homemade which was great.

Deliciously authentic mains but skip the sides. Koi is a well run restaurant with very friendly and helpful staff. The main dishes are good sized portions delivering great Thai flavours. The meats are tender and the curries are well balanced without being overly seasoned. Spicy enough to be morish but not so much that it overwhelms. The only downside are the starters which are over priced for what you get (often almost the same price as mains but for much smaller portions) and did not stand out. The prawn crackers were also disappointing for a Thai restaurant, being of the average Chinese takeaway variety.

Another fabulous take away from Koi Thai. We’ve also eaten in the restaurant several times. Food is always delicious and tastes so fresh. Great range on the menu to suit all our family tastes.

Last minute meal out and we both enjoyed our previous visits. Doesnt disappoint. Food and service were excellent and the venue is a nice place to sit and chill. Highly recommend visiting 👌🏻

Food and service excellent well worth a visit

Delicious mains. Very friendly staff. Starters are a very expensive waste though. Just mega-overpriced deep fried stuff - avoid. Lost a star for this alone. Also, we were lead to believe while ordering that a side of rice or noodles were included with our main, which for £17.50 was perfectly believable, only to find on the bill this wasn't the case. So our main ended up costing over £20 each, which I find quite steep for the place and quantity of food. Be warned. Also for reference, soft drinks like my ginger beer cost a shocking £4! Food was nice but we left feeling ripped off.

Nice atmosphere, great food and friendly service. Went on a quiet night so it was very peaceful. The Tom yum is probably one of the best that I’ve had in Aberdeen. We also order the prawn tempura, Pad Thai and the Jungle curry. Everything tasted really good so I will definitely be returning!
