Lovely welcoming staff, delicious food and drinks. Recommend the Massaman curry.

One of the best, if not the best Thai restaurant in Aberdeen. The food is amazing. I highly recommend the spicy clams. The staff is really nice.

Been a few times now and safe to say this is one of the best Thai Restaurants I’ve been to in the UK.

Table for 4 , everyone enjoyed their dishes. Yum woon sen was very authentic and Thai fish cakes absolutely delicious. Green Thai curry was a highlight.

La comida es siempre deliciosa, fresca y adaptada según las necesidades de los clientes, es decir, no demasiado picante, opciones vegetarianas, etc. Venimos desde hace años, a veces varias veces a la semana. ¡No te decepcionarás!

Excelente comida como siempre. El satay de pollo fue el más sabroso de la historia, los fideos sabrosos y el pollo agridulce delicioso. El vino también era de primera.

Fantastic all round - definately worth a visit

Came here tonight, the staff are so friendly. Had peppery chicken to start, it was delicious and spicy. Had spicy chicken noodles for main course and it was the nicest noodle dish I have ever had. Cooked fresh, piping hot and spicy with chicken and vegetables. With a side of chips that were also cooked fresh. 10 out of 10 from us. Lovely staff and great food.

Had a night in Aberdeen recently with work. Stopped in here for dinner. Doesn’t look much from the outside, but have to say, the food was excellent. Service was very good too, and prices very reasonable. We ordered Papaya salad, spring rolls, chicken cashew nut, and morning glory. With the serving staff and chefs from Thailand, the food tasted authentic and the quality was top notch. It certainly didn’t disappoint, and will definitely come back again.

Food is great, but the staff here are very disrespectful, racist and ignorant. I asked for tap water, the staff saw me and came but suddenly served the table with whites instead, the gentleman asked me a spoon, she came back and gave him the spoon, but never intended to head to our table even after I said “excuse me” “hello”. I have to walked up to the counter and ask for it myself. They also pretended to not see us raising hand. Additionally, they paid more attention on other westerners and Thai people than us. This is the worst experience ever, I hope your restaurant will wisely choose your employees. Even they have the best stewed beef noodle soup in Aberdeen based on my appetite, I don’t think I will return here ever again. Please enhance your staff training. Thank you.

Phoned on 11/9/24 to make a reservation for today, 12/9/24 @ 7pm. Arrived to find there no reservation been made, even after my details being read back to me. And told they can’t fit us in Thanks very much

Fuimos a almorzar con la familia y tenía el menú de precio fijo. Todo era fresco y caliente - la comida era fabulosa - muy recomendable - el personal cálido y acogedor.

Mi amigo y yo visitamos para el almuerzo de la semana del restaurante Aberdeen hoy y elegir los dos platos más copa de vino por £ 25 menú. Mucha selección de platos. Teníamos los rollitos de primavera vegetal y alitas de pollo para empezar y Pad Thai y pollo con anacardos para la red. Los platos eran más que amplias porciones y tan muy sabroso. Un vaso cada uno de los Merlot y Pino Grichio, ambos de buena calidad. El servicio fue atento pero no intrusivo y los platos entregados a tiempo sin prisa. Una experiencia relajada en un entorno acogedor. Muy recomendable.

A very fragrant green curry with a variety of plants in it. It is sweet and has a strong taste. I feel a little thirsty after eating it all. There were a large number of Thais and two Thai monks in the restaurant during the meal. It can be seen that the food is very authentic and worth trying. One day later, I couldn’t help but try it again. It had delicious hot and sour shrimp soup noodles, lots of mushrooms and tomatoes, and four fresh prawns. It was delicious♡ While I was waiting, I heard the sound of cooking in the kitchen, and I felt that the chef had specially prepared it for me. Cooking a dish makes me feel warm. It just tastes a bit strong, so you need to drink more water

Lovely food; Was very busy so had to go for a walk for half an hour until there was space. Beat sweet and sour I've ever had and had a few. Batter hot, superbly crispy and a lovely sauce. The sweet Roti was amazing. Has a good selection of Thai and Chinese dishes including "street food" dishes

Bowl of prawn crackers served upon arrival, tasted nice and crispy, not too greasy. We ordered vegetable spring rolls and chicken with peanut butter sauce. For mains, pad Thai chicken and Thai green chicken curry. For dessert, banana fritters with cream and vanilla ice cream. Food was overall great, good size servings.

The restaurant is a bit hidden due to the small front, but it's worth it. Not necessarily because of the average ambience, but because of the really good food at good prices. For people who don't like spicy food, a warning: don't order anything that says spicy!

We have eaten at this restaurant since the day it opened and have always had a positive experience and our recent visit was no different. I agree with a previous reviewer that prices have gone up but this is the same everywhere from our experience however the food and service was still excellent as always. We will happily return.

I can't understand how this awful place got such rave reviews. Perhaps they've just lost their chef. Tom Yum soup that was just hot and sour, with none of the Thai flavours. So-called red curry - frozen veg heated in the microwave, with an anonymous red gloop poured over them that probably came from a bottle. And not even that nice Thai fragrant rice, but bog-standard any old white rice. My companion's Pad Thai tasted as if it had been cooked in gearbox oil. One of the worst eating out experiences of my life. Nice friendly staff, though

Not particularly impressive from the outside, and inside looks a little bit tired and frankly a tiny bit grubby in places, but the food was sensational and service exemplary. Will defo go back.

Food was nice enough and portions were of a decent size, but I thought it was really expensive. The menu displayed in the window with prices is obviously the take-away menu and not the dining-in menu, which I didn't realise until we were inside. I'm not sure if I'd go back again because of the prices.

Dinner with friends. Food always first class and lovely friendly service. A Sunday evening so only a few other people in so a quiet atmosphere.

Was a delicious little spot for a quick dinner before the ferry. The food was phenomenal and the service was fast and attentive.

Nice starters, very average main (beef salad so chewy it was almost inedible) Average service.

Far and away my favourite Thai place in Aberdeen. The staff are really excellent, friendly and attentive but the food is the real star here. If Thai food can transport me back to the best street food in Bangkok then they are doing something right. This place does just that. Can't wait to go back to try more food off the menu although part of me will always crave the Penang curry with its Thai basil kick.

The food was a disappointment from what I had previously from the same restaurant. It was just flour coated all through and you almost couldn't tell the difference between the beef and chicken. They were soggy as well. I had spoken highly and wanted my husband to try the food. I felt so embarrassed afterwards. Not a great dinner date. However, as usual, the staff and reception were excellent.

Very good food and service, received our order quickly and even got a complimentary dish as thanks. A must go for sure!

I’m astonished this place gets such good reviews. It’s dated inside, seats worn, skirting boards dirty, paper tablecloths, doesn’t feel ‘clean’.I wasn’t convinced the waiter knew what a vegetarian was and it’s overpriced… actually we were charged for an extra meal we didn’t even have! Wouldn’t go back, wouldn’t recommend.

Great food. Most relaxing as able to converse without having to compete with piped muzak (they have some but I think turned it off for us). The waitress was most helpful especially spending time explaining menu options with a member of the group who has dietary issues. We will be back.

We had a lovely meal out at Siam Cottage prior to going to a gig at the nearby Lemon Tree. It was a really busy restaurant but the quality of the food explains its popularity. The staff were excellent, just the right amount of attentive. We had starters and mains for two people with one round of drinks and spent £62. I had the duck with chilli oil and it was the best Chinese duck dish I have ever eaten. Loads of duck and amazing taste. We also had a mixed platter as a starter and I would highly recommend that too.

Delighted to have come across this restaurant. It was probably the best Thai food we’ve had locally. All of the food we ordered was absolutely delicious, generously portioned and delivered to our table with excellent service. We’ll be back!

Excellent food, delightful service and surroundings

First visit here, came very highly recommended and we had previously failed to get a table so expectations were high and we were not disappointed. Starter were king prawn delight and moo wan (fried pork strips) and for mains we had deep butterfly bass with Thai herb and Pad Krapow Goong (king prawn stir fried with veg) service was great the staff were very attentive and the good came out quickly. A very pleasant evening we will repeat again soon as there are many more things we want to try

Placed an order to collect, very helpful and friendly woman who took my order. She was very knowledgable about allergens and was able to very easily accommodate a wheat allergy. Food was ready on time and tasted delicious, would definitely recommend!

Siam cottage serves up tasty thai food with very friendly service. The restuarant decor is not anything special and the prices are on the high side, but probably average for Aberdeen. It is handy if heading to the Vue cinema.

Amazing food. Outstanding takeaway. I am continually blown away by the fresh herbs and quality ingredients. Every dish is delicious. Hot chillies and lots of fresh veg and quality meat. The Szechuan sauce actually uses full Szechuan peppercorns! Sounds like a small thing, but other takeaways seem to just use the same tasteless cornflour sauces. If you can please order direct and collect your order for the best service.

As a Thai student living in Aberdeen, this restaurant is the best. The food is authentic Thai dish, especially stewed beef noodle soup and deep fried sea bass with mango sauce. And, staff are all very friendly.

So I have been a number of times over the years and the food has always been excellent. Unfortunately, due to the current economic climate they have dramatically increased their prices. It's a shame really, the food is fantastic but £20 for a curry/other main is simply too much to charge. I will be back at some point, just probably when I have some money burning a hole in my pocket.

We had a meal here recently one Sunday evening, when the restaurant was not busy. The staff were very friendly and the starter was excellent, and the beers cold. The main course was not so good, mu wife had a green Thai curry and it was just glutinous mess. i would expect the Thai curry to be more like a soup, the chef must have gone mad with the MSG. My dish was better but was a huge bowlful that I could not possibly eat. It was not bad with regards flavour, but i have had better. Lots of seafood in mine just too many noodles.

Awesome food, if you don't like spice beware if the chili icons on the menu, don't complain its spicy after you get it. Be an intelligent customer. I enjoyed everything from their souls, curries, noodles and fried rice options. If you are like me who are aware of east Asian cuisines then you will enjoy it. Prices are not too bad as well. Flavour is on point.

Great food and friendly staff. The best place to dine in Aberdeen. I am not Thai but I always look for their food when I really want to eat and get well. The chef is amazing indeed. Everyone should try this restaurant.

Was only staying in Aberdeen as a stopover. I had looked at other Thai restaurants, but most were very designer decor and steep prices. From the outside the SC doesn't look like much, the decor is a little faded but don't let this put you off. Service was friendly, food was exceptional. The Thai curries tasted authentic and the prices were exceptional. Highly recommended.

Best salt and pepper chips and satay in Aberdeen. Not tried much else but place is always busy and smells good! Recommend even if it is just for chips and satay 😄

This place is amazing. I've put about half my wages in their till over the last year and have absolute no regrets. Do yourself a favour and get the satay skewers and the chicken Thai panang curry. 10/10.

Visited here before an event at the Art centre . Great menu , plenty variety of dishes to choose from . Our dishes were served piping hot , plentiful servings and excellent quality . Friendly , helpful staff

A great foodie experience here right from the warm welcome at the door through to the amazing food and the hospitality of everyone at the Cottage , the staff were excellent all night , service was fast , friendly and efficient , the food was amazing form the shared platter to the Malaysian chow mein and washed down with thai beer , the Cottage is now a go to when in Aberdeen and we will be back soon , tip is to definitely book a table as its not very big and we saw quite a few of customers being turned away as they hadn’t booked and the restaurant was full.

First time eating here yesterday lunchtime and the Food and service staff were absolutely first class. Presentation and food quality was excellent and authentic. Thanks so much everyone I shall certainly be back. Carol Pat Joan and Eileen xxxx
