We went to this restaurant after having an atrocious experience in another restaurant in Aberdeen and the difference between the two was night and day. Monsoona was incredible, from the polite and friendly staff to the quality and taste of the food. It was reasonably priced at £47 for two curries, two rice, two drinks and a naan. We also got complimentary mint chocolate and fruit with the bill and a warm cloth to wipe our face. My only regret of the evening was not coming to Monsoona first. If I ever want an Indian meal in Aberdeen I won’t think twice about coming back. Thank you for a brilliant experience.

Driver late x food cold which had to be microwaved , sauce in dish like water and very bland no taste x order here quite a lot and never had food like this very disappointed

Food was terrible, also delivery driver had no change so he went to car to get it and was suppose to come back with £8 but he never and never answered the phone lol?

Best Indian in Aberdeen, always so tasty, not greasy & full of flavour. Not the cheapest but definitely the best, highly recommend ❤️

Food was really really good! The lamb in the kurma was so tender (just amazing to be honest) and the madras my friend ordered was actually quite spicy when he wasn’t expecting it to be, it was just on the boarder of being too spicy for him but he said it was really fine too!

Fabulous dinner tonight, both our chicken and lamb dishes were delicious. As a regular visitor to Aberdeen I would highly recommend and would will definitely use again.

UNHYGIENIC EXPERIENCE ALERT ‼️ We came to this restaurant because of its great rating, expecting a nice dinner, but it turned out to be an absolute disaster. We ordered Prawn Vindaloo for £14.99 and rice for £3.50, and the portions were ridiculously small—barely enough for one person. On top of it, there were no spoons on the table, and I had to walk up to the bar just to ask for one. Then, the final straw: as we were about to order another plate of rice, I found a HAIR strand in the vindaloo curry. It was absolutely disgusting and completely ruined my appetite. I was so disgusted that I couldn’t even process the event and didn’t click a picture of my plate. The lack of basic customer courtesy, careless serving, and unhygienic food made this a horrible experience. A complete waste of time!!! Grateful that I didn’t have to pay for the vile food.

Both dishes tasted the same although looked different. One should have been spicy but wasn’t. There was a slice of very tough beef in a chicken dish, cross contamination or lack in cleanliness. Gutted as usually good food from here. standards (cost cutting) has kicked in, won’t use again.

It's an unassuming looking place on the outside but it's lovely once you get in, small but homely. We went there for my son's birthday. Raj and the team in the restaurant were fantastic, very welcoming and made it a special occasion. The food was lovely too. The food is less fatty and buttery but really tasty and on the plus side I didn't feel bloated at the end. Good veggie options, I had the tofu and veg curry. I highly recommend the place.

Came here for a mid week meal with my partner.The place it’s self is mall but nice.we ordered the chicken korma ,tandoori mix grill ,onion bhaji ,chicken pakora and keema Nan . Food arrived piping hot but in quite a random order with questions of our requirements,which makes me believe the order had not been taken properly.Hey I can live with that.the food is self was not bad at all.The partner loved the bhaji and thought the korma was not bad also.my mixed grill was nice enough I have to say maybe a bit overly seasoned but I’m not an expert just have an opinion.we will return again and would recommend this place the overall experience was pleasant.

Absolutely gorgeous food delivered on time and hot. The courier was very nice and friendly. First time ordering food from Monsoona. The butter chicken was so tasty. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Food did not meet expectations, from pakora to prawns, very disappointing

Worst experience ever ordering food. Incredibly overpriced very low quality and every item I ordered bar one was the wrong thing delivered. To many false reviews on Just eat that can't be trusted sadly. The delivery lady was lovely though.

Tasty dishes, well presented and plentiful. Despite the language barrier, we were very well received and advised.

Had a fabulous meal here this evening. The kitchen catered extremely well for my vegan and coeliac aunt and dealt with my dairy intolerance too - would highly recommend the food and the service was great.

We had a fantastic experience at Monsoona Indian Restaurant in Aberdeen. We ordered the garlic cheese naan and garlic chilli chicken, and both were excellent. The naan was soft with plenty of garlic and just the right amount of cheese filling. The garlic chilli chicken was spicy and extremely flavorful. The service was quick, and the staff were very friendly. We will definitely be visiting again! Monsoona offers some of the best Indian cuisine and we highly recommend it to everyone.

Raj met us at the door when we visited on 03 July. DW had an excellent lamb biryani and I had a chicken tikka biryani, excellent as well. The included sauce actually tempered the heat of the dish itself, somehow. The two negatives were the peshwary nan was not sweet (as we expect it to be), and the lemonade was actually a lemon-lime fizzy drink. The delicious mains far overshadowed those minor points. This is how dining should be!

Had an amazing meal while in Aberdeen with work! The accommodated our table at 10.30 after a show and at no point did we feel like they were trying to rush us! The food was fresh and not oily, the flavours were distinct and moorish and it felt like true care went into all the dishes! Would definitely be back next time I am in Aberdeen! Thank you again.

Fantastic place. The food is healthy, fresh and tasty. Staff are welcoming, professional and friendly. Surya is amazing, always offering service with a smile and endures that you have the best dining experience. This place is definitely worth a visit! It's location on bridge street makes it well placed to go to pubs and clubs nearby. We walked in quite late and night and were seated when other places would be closing. Nothing was too much trouble making us vegan mains, rice and garlic naan. The food was really delicious. Highly recommended.

We went a few days ago for a meal. Its a small restaurant and the food was lovely. The service was excellent. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was of the price. I'm not used to Aberdeen prices as I live in Spain. Thank you for a lovely meal.

Absolutely delightful. Food was immense. One of, if not THE best Indian food we have ever eaten. Staff were attentive and very pleasant. Nice surroundings. Couldn't fault it. Mixed opinions here. We visited on Wednesday evening and the place was full which was nice to see. Unfortunately the service suffered as a result of being so busy. 5 of us was crammed onto a table for 4 and service was very slow. We did manage to utilise the window sill to create some extra space though. After about 20 mins wait we had to request menus, cutlery and drinks. When the cutlery came, it was dumped in a pile and we were told to help ourselves. We ordered some poppadoms but had to ask for some side plates rather than the alternative of eating directly off the table. The food was really nice and the staff were friendly but the slow, informal service and poor attention to detail let the experience down. The venue is advertised as a healthy Indian restaurant. Apart from one generic sentence at the front of the menu and the sign stating it it a healthy Indian restaurant, I struggled to understand how this was the case. There was no calories printed or comparisons to a typical dish of that type or any other justifications that the food was any healthier than any other Indian Restaurant. I would visit again when it is less busy as they have lots of great reviews, I think we got them on a bad night.
