Poo hole ni siquiera puede darme mis papas fritas grandes y para colmo ningún juguete sónico en la comida feliz de SONIC. El peor establecimiento en Inverness. - 5 / 5
My sister and I recently visited McDonalds for a late lunch. We were a bit unsure (being in our 60s) of the ordering screen.
However, an absolutely incredibly helpful member of staff - Helen - saw us standing staring at the screen, and came to our rescue. She stayed with us until we had tweaked and adjusted our choices - we would never have managed without her.
After that, she led us to the best seats available - I am disabled and need a soft seat. She then made sure we had everything we needed, like ketchup, napkins, cutlery etc., and chased up my order when it took a bit than my sister’s to come.
A very chap - not sure of his name - overheard me asking my sister if we he’d been given any salt. There wasn’t any, so he immediately said he would get me some, which he did.
Once we had finished, Helen helped us with our trays and rubbish. She showed us out the door and chatted away to us, as she had done from the start, making us feel so welcome and not out of place amongst mostly a lot younger people.
Helen gave us a 5 star experience. We were attended to better than a lot of very expensive high end restaurants.
The food was also excellent, and such a great price. We will definitely be going back!!
We had a lovely meal here, the vegetarian options were great - I had a sweet potato, red onion and seed tart with chips and salad and it was delicious! The interior is gorgeous, it's clean and modern yet still has old fashioned touches. I will definitely be back!
Gorgeous outdoor dining which is what attracted us on a hot July day after Loch Ness shops nearby.
Tiny menu and pretty expensive, cashing in on the tourist trade I assume. Ordered a cheeseburger for £15 and to say it was basic is an understatement. The chips were like nothing I’ve ever seen, looked like someone had hacked away at a potato. We also had a tuna melt panini, could have played a long game of “spot the filling”, disgraceful for a £10 panini. First time I’ve paid £6 for a 330ml tin of IPA.
Service was sloppy, the young lad looked like he wanted to be anywhere else and could barely be bothered to speak.
The only redeeming feature was shortbread which was delicious but at £4 for a small slice - so it should be!
I can only assume they are not relying on repeat custom and cashing in on tourists who will pay the prices, just for the location.
6 off us have had meal deal for weeks at least 2/3have had problems with meals ranging from cold to overcooked most nights starters under cooked or overcooked main meals much same.some time waiting 90 minutes for main to come only for it to be cold only 2 people seem to know what they are doing the rest haven't a clue restaurant is empty yet they are turning people away (the lucky ones) .the owners of this establishment (whitbred) must not care about their product or they would do something about it health and hygiene should take a look at this place
I had a baked potato with tuna(good) and salad (good)The potato itself had barely been warmed up; some parts of itwere at room temerature. When I asked for extra salt and pepper I was given by a surly waiter one tiny portion of each.I shan't go here again.
Terrible, awful food, would not recommend this place , popadums were soft and not fresh , the chicken korma had a sour taste , absolutely disgusting . This has to be the worst Indian we have ever had .
The coffee is exceptionally good as you'd expect from a coffee shop. The cheesecake is a revelation, although I've been a veggie for 35 years, I've never knowingly had a vegan cheesecake before, it was superb. The bookshop is fantastic, I could spend hours in that shop.
Buena vibra sobre el lugar, el personal servicial, la comida también era buena, el lugar era amplio y limpio , .
La comida era de un nivel decente, no es ingeniosa para cenar, pero ¿por qué? Plato principal sobre la marca de £ 15.
The worst chips I have ever tasted! They were dripping in grease but thankfully the portions were very small so didn’t have to throw too much in the bin! Absolutely disgusting and expensive too. Don’t even bother going here the food is horrible, overpriced and dripping grease.
En cualquier otro lugar se está haciendo un esfuerzo para mantener a las personas seguras, pero no en esta tienda de chips. Solo efectivo y ningún personal con máscaras.
It’s such a shame as when I visit family in Inverness, I always pop in to the Victorian market, so the cafe is in a fantastic spot. It’s an interesting wee place inside and all the signs are welcoming ....... except for the surly staff member or maybe it’s the owner? I didn’t get a welcome smile or acknowledgement. I wasn’t sure whether to order at the table and was just told in a matter of fact way that you order at the desk. There is an upstairs but this was blocked off for some reason. My snack was ok - took the edge off before my tea, I have given this place the benefit of the doubt before, but the service hasn’t improved. I went to the desk to pay and was asked what would I like to order!! I said I’ve eaten and I’m just wanting to pay. She just wasn’t interested. There’s plenty of other places in Inverness to spend your hard earned money. That’s the last time I spend mine in there I’m afraid.
Dont be put off my first impressions of this hotel.
The hotel is under new ownership and are refurbishing the hotel. The rooms are lovely and modern with wide screen TV . There are four rooms and i belive to be 5 eventually.
The position is stunning right by the water and if you lucky you can see dolphins, seals and otters.
we spent the evening watching the sailing boats going past and the small ferry which runs hourly and the amazing sunset. The new owners are lovely and go out of there way to make you feel welcome.
We will go back for sure .. thank you for the perfect stay
