Buena vibra sobre el lugar, el personal servicial, la comida también era buena, el lugar era amplio y limpio , . La comida era de un nivel decente, no es ingeniosa para cenar, pero ¿por qué? Plato principal sobre la marca de £ 15.

Visitó 1820 para una cena mientras visitaba Portree. Los lugares para comer eran limitados un domingo por la noche en febrero, así que decidimos en 1820. El edificio es muy interesante al ser una iglesia convertida sumado al ambiente. Muy espacioso con un montón de asientos disponibles para todos, incluidas las familias. El personal era muy amable y explicó el proceso de pedido y las opciones de menú. La comida y las bebidas se pidieron en el bar y llegaron rápidamente. La comida era decente y porciones considerables para cada comida. La comida y las bebidas eran un poco caro para un menú de pub, pero comparable a otros establecimientos en Skyle. En general, una experiencia agradable y volvería a visitar de nuevo cuando regrese a Portree.

Pescado grasiento, scampi directamente del congelador. Servicio de comida pobre. Los scampi anunciados como servidos con ensalada, venían con guisantes y sarro - sin mención por el personal. Servicio de bar bueno.

Vino aquí con dos amigos para almorzar. Es una iglesia antigua convertida y han hecho un trabajo fantástico en el interior. Muy agradable para cenar. El personal era joven pero muy amable y eficiente. Tomé la sopa de hongos y estaba fuera - la - escala buena, servido con pan crujiente fresco! Con gusto cenaré aquí de nuevo la próxima vez que esté en Skye.

Gran ubicación y buena comida! Lo único malo cuando estábamos era que había una banda en vivo y hacía mucho ruido en el edificio. El ambiente exterior era impresionante. Edificio genial, personal amable. También es familiar. No necesitaba reservas.

Muy acogedor. Personal amable y eficiente, comida increíble. Verdadera hospitalidad escocesa que ofrece música en vivo y una amplia selección de bebidas. Entorno agradable y agradable. ¡No se debe pasar por alto en su visita a la Isla de Skye!

Estaba muy decepcionado con este lugar. No podía ver a un gerente con quien hablar, así que de ahí la reseña. Hicimos cola en la puerta durante al menos veinte minutos, ni uno vino a explicar que estaba ocupado y que habría una espera. Luego había que hacer cola para pedir la comida, lo que fue otra larga espera. La comida estaba bien, nada especial. Todo fue un poco caótico. Había un camarero que corría por ahí, los otros estaban demasiado ocupados charlando. Los uniformados estaban desaliñados y era difícil identificar al personal para llamar su atención. Pobre.

Bonito lugar, haces cola para pedir y das una mesa Número así que decidimos llevar. Se sorprendió mucho al escuchar que las £ 16. 95 de un precio no se alteró para llevar! Esa es una cena de pescado cara y valió la pena. Estaba bien, pero los resultados promedio y precio en una revisión promedio. La opción sin gluten fue buena 👍🏻

Worst service and burger I’ve ever had! The meat tasted rancid. Because I was solo, I was told I could not have a table as they were too busy, They sat me at an uncomfortable bar upstairs. It was more like a narrow wooden bench with the most uncomfortable stool I’ve ever sat on. You sat facing a blank wall under their telly. It had no salt or pepper, ketchup etc. I had to ask for it and the waitress got “snippy” and said they just fitted me in! As with anything in Portree, no reservation at lunch or dinner, then it’s long cues if you don’t want Asian or Indian. But to matters worse it was a Sunday and half the restaurants were closed. I paid the same amount as anyone else and also tipped. I would not ever recommend this restaurant. Isle of Skye is beautiful but there are too many tourists and not enough restaurants.

Had a quick stop here for a morning coffee and a cake - was a good deal at a fiver for both. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Went to pop back later for lunch and it was really busy so clearly a popular spot!

Einfache Mahlzeiten zu passenden Preisen serviert in hübschem Geschirr, Küche leider nur bis 19:30 ( Samstags). Viele Familien, daher etwas turbulent. Billardtisch in der oberen Etage. Samstags eventuell Live-Musik ab 21:00 Uhr. Auf jeden Fall viel besser, als bei anderen Restaurants in Portree auf der Straße Schlange zu stehen, oder sich etwas vom Chinesischen Imbiss zu holen …

Had a lovely meal at this restaurant which is under new owners. Fish & chips were good and my sister said she had the best burger she has ever had. Nice place in a cute little town. One of the servers, Caz was also helpful in giving us tips for things to do around the island. Check it out!

Visited for a coffee and something to eat. My husband order a full breakfast and I the eggs florentine. Our food was brought to the table and we had no cutlery, which I then asked for. The waitress/waiter/server points to a counter and says ‘you can get it there’. She then walks back past the cutlery. My husband tucks into his breakfast and I try the eggs florentine and notice an odd aroma, which was immediately matched by an unpleasant taste. The sauce clearly came out of a packet; it was absolutely revolting. I scraped the sauce off the eggs, which I had separated from the minced spinach and soggy English muffins and ate them only. The restaurant was not busy; there was a single other person eating. Do not eat here.

How can a place get it so wrong? We came in and found a table and proceeded to the till to order. The older woman at the till with short grey hair served me in a very discerning, patronising manner. Ordered the fish and chips and the burger after being told there was no steak pie. I was shocked that the steak pie had sold out as it was 22 quid for that which is nearly double what it should be in most pub food environments. I asked for no peas and no tartar sauce. It came with peas and tartar sauce. But never mind. They really need to upgrade the size of the plates they use. They used plates that are inbetween normal sized plates and side plates. Dumped fish on top of cold soggy frozen chips. The burger patty was not bad however the burger bun was hard and stale having been defrosted just before. Serving this to a catering manager in a school those tricks won't go by here. If your paying nearly 20 quid for a wee burger have fresh ingredients. Now we move onto the fish. It looked on paper like the England team. Amazing. Like it could win the 2024 euros. However it tasted like Scotland after playing Germany in the opening game and getting battered (Excuse the pun, it was intended) 5-1. It was so tasteless and boring I never knew it was possible for fish to taste this bad. How was it managed? I seasoned once with a generous helping of salt and vinegar. Again no flavour so changed tactics and went all out attack and seasoned again with more vinegar and salt. The blandness was too real. The taste was like Scotlands goals against Germany - non existent cos even Scotlands goal was an own goal by Germany. Bigger plates, fresh food, better service and an atmosphere are all severely lacking here. Wetherspoons serve food at a third of the price and the food honestly is 3 times better. They ask you to tip when you pay upfront for your meal which is a bit of a cheek as at that point you have had ZERO service. Tips come from good service and/or good food. Here you receive neither. They are capitalising here on Skye being a tourist place and not needing to provide food or service. I didn't see any locals here. Honestly I would skip here, we would have if we read the reviews but chose it because it was right next to the car park and it was late and windy. Give it a miss and check out one of the other places around is my advice. Save yourself £40 and grab a takeaway fish and chips across the road. Defo will not be back or recommending to any of my customers or clients to visit.

if you’re looking for good service do not come here. we waited in the queue for 20 minutes only to be met with a lady with a horrible attitude. she was wearing a bright blue top and was acting as though she did not want to be there. heard someone from the kitchen shouting at what seemed to be quite young girls which seemed to be quite unfair. and saw a worker sitting on a laptop while the other girls seemed to be rushed off their feet. food was good a bit pricy. would come back if the attitude was gone

Awesome place to eat and for brews. We only came in for beer. Beer was great. Staff was friendly. Place was very clean and welcoming. Staff was friendly. Perfectly located downtown Portree. Highly recommended!

Close to the harbour, nice and spacious. Friendly staff. We went as a family of four, kids menu is available. We all had fish and chips- it was fresh and very tasty, batter was nice and light. Came with side salad and peas. Toilets are upstairs. Cool decor, converted church maybe?

Went for lunch for my sons 18th. Had a lovely lunch and staff were lovely. Unfortunately my son went back later that night to get a pint and another member of staff was on (Loraine) who asked for id and when he showed his passport, she said it was a fake and refused to serve him. He asked for his passport back and she then stole his passport and said he was barred for 3 months. He had to goto the police to get his REAL passport back. As long as this Lorraine works there i won't be taking my family back. Absolutely shocking behavior..

We ( 2xadults 3xchildren) came in looking for a spot of lunch after swimming. The Menu was varied and the price was good considering the portion sizing. the food arrived quickly with friendly staff . The food was lovely ( nice sizing of portions) I'd highly recommend families to come here to eat. Relaxed environment 😌. I'd recommend some crayons and activity sheets for the kids as a wee bonus! Some cordial added with the meal too. All in all it was really good. We will tell others of our experience. Thanks 😊

Usual pub menu items with a few specials. Food was fresh and tasty, but around £13 for a mac and cheese and the same for chicken goujons, it wasn't cheap, and the portions were modest.

Good experience! We have beer and dry sider. there is music, we eat fish and chips, very fresh! I recommend this place and I don’t understand why so many reviews low.

Everything we read online said this was open until 1am! We turned up at 1:45 pm for a light lunch and it was closed!!!! Update your information please! We live on Skye and were very disappointed to find the place closed.

Not sure why this place is rated so low honestly. The food is good and has a lively atmosphere. Lots of seating which is great for a quick lunch. Fish is super fresh. Soups are great and the "Pot Pies" of the day all looked and smelled great. They also had a few gra-and-go food items. (You order at the counter and they bring your food to you)

Waren mittags auf der such nach was zu essen. Es war leider schon fast alles zu . Durch Zufall gingen wir hier hinein. Und was soll ich sagen urgemütlich und cool. Absolutely delicious. I tried the soup of the day(spicy vegetable soup), and my mum had the fish and chips. The soup was delicious, and she loved how fresh the fish was.

I had the spaghetti with meat sauce and garlic bread. It was filling and tasted ok. You stand in line for a while to order your food and then they bring it out for you.

This is a good place where you can both sit inside and outside. They have several good different kind of beers and the service is nice. The terrace is lovely in the town centre

The three of us found little to enjoy here beyond the building’s character. Two of us ordered Cullen Skink (fish stew) and the bowls were just milky broth. Not a single piece of fish or potato or veg between the two of us. Bread was tasty. Additionally, their service/table system and signs was awkward and a little aggressive. Off-putting and unwelcoming. Signage was goofy (‘Soup of the day: see other board’ and ‘do not order without choosing a table first.’) Our third person did enjoy the fish and chips but we all agreed we’ve had much better.

This pub is a wee gem. Music is top notch. Went twice and both nights were great. Only downside is there is not enough staff on. Bar always has a massive queue! Seem to stop serving food really early too. I would definitely go back.

We didn't have a lot of options on a Friday night but I wish we had skipped this. They were only serving fish and chips. Food was hot and quicker than the bar drinks, but the fish batter was thick, greasy and flavorless. Building is cool but the tables were dirty and sticky. The music was loud but nice until they turned on the TV at full volume to play against the music.

Many places in Portree close after lunchtime service so this was the only place we could get some food passing through. Incredibly expensive for what it is, unfriendly, and a bit grubby. If you think you need to eat here because everything else is closed, do yourself a favour and grab a sandwich from the Co-op to enjoy by the harbour side instead

This place looks cool, but when you go in, you can have different experiences... We arrived and asked for food, while they told us that kitchen was closed and only offered bakery and drinks ( It was 13:00pm). We were with two childs, so we decided to find a new place and come back to drink something later. Our surprise was that at 14:00 pm they were offering food... I asked to the waiter, and they told me that kitchen closes when have a lot of orders, and re-open again in a while, but nobody told that to me before. We started a discussion with an employee, and didn't admit It was her fault or just a sorry for that. Just said " if you don't like It go out". Continue like this, you've Lucky that there are many customers on the peak season, the owner should take care of this.
