After reading some reviews we were sceptical but we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Ate here on a Saturday night (booking advisable). The service was friendly and quick, the food was very tasty and very reasonable. It is BYOB but there is a corkage charge. We were pleasantly surprised.

I have eaten in many Indian restaurants, but the food in this unassuming little cafe was exceptional. I make my own Sag Aloo, and think it's quite good - better than a lot of restaurants I've eaten in. But Mango Cafe's Sage Aloo was way better than any I've tasted. The manager was happy to share some of the ingredients with me, and to let me know that his wife made the equally excellent Mango Cheesecake.

Visited on a Monday evening, as there were not many restaurants open. Shown to a table straight away. Service was good, food was prompt, and tasted very nice. We opted for traditional indian, which was perhaps a little weaker on the sauce than usual. Plenty of meat though. Unfortunately they were not licenced, and there is a corkage fee if you bring your own. Happy with soft drinks however.

We haven’t liked the way we were forced to buy a bottle of water , because they don’t have any tap water ! it was not fair and they didn’t want to discuss about it, although 2 girls next to us had tap water . Otherwise, portions are small and it was our first time in an Indian restaurant to have cheese nan with cheeses ON it, and not inside

Well we’ll we’ll, what can I say about this place following my friends review who sat opposite me!? My experience was one of slight disappointment and slight enjoyment, 21 of us went last minute and were given a great space upstairs, upon entry to the restaurant the owner looked at us like we had hurt his family in a bad way 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ I asked him if he was ok and that he should be happy having such a large table !! We read the reviews before we went and knew we were in for a beating both in service and food quality however no where could accommodate such a large party last minute this was also a massive red flag!! The next red flag was when the 20 Poppadoms arrived 20 minutes after we ordered them they were terrible and limp !! However we knew what we were getting and didn’t complain too much, the mango chef saved the best insult for the main course, when my friends chicken jalfrezi arrived I have never seen such a fish ever anywhere in a Indian/Pakistani/southern Indian restaurant in my life !! It was jalfrezi soup ! The sauce was non existent it was just chicken in a soup with loads of chillies ! On a good note my mixed grill was quite acceptable and the man bread could double up as a sponge to wash your car, like I said we knew it was going to be very very average and overall we enjoyed our evening as we had taken plenty of our own alcohol which made it a great night, to sun up only go if you are desperate for average food and dull service ! Good luck people

A group of 21 of us hit Cafe Mango after a tough day of trekking up and down Big Ben Nevis and we couldn’t have been happier. We arrived to a warm greeting from a jolly member of staff and were taken to a large area suitable for groups upstairs. Straight away we were heartened by the waft of delicious Indian and Thai dishes. The menu looked sublime with a quirky mix of both cuisines and we all took a while choosing. The winners of the night were the crisp, fresh poppadoms, the haggis pakora (a must for anyone visiting Scotland) and the lamb rogan josh. We were allowed to bring our own booze and pay corkage which was nice - the staff were on hand to hand out fresh glasses and a couple of bottle openers. By the end of the evening we were all well fed after a hearty meal and had a few pics taken by the charming staff to help us treasure our evening. At one point the chef popped upstairs to greet us and received a rousing round of applause. Would thoroughly recommend and we all said we would be back one day when our bodies had recovered enough for us to have another crack at Ben Nevis! Great food, great price, great staff - great evening! Thank you Cafe Mango - you are Fort William’s best kept secret

We should have stayed away from the very beginning, noticing there were only a handful of people sitting inside during the high season in the Highlands and whilst other restaurants in Fort Williams were bursting with people. But we were hungry and did not want to wait in line at another place. Therefore we gave this restaurant a try. In summary, it can an be said that the food was below average, not at all authentic and totally overpriced - up to a point where we just felt ripped off. They seem to live off tourists who pass by Fort Williams (a local would most likely not go there twice).

I wanted to visit for a while as they are Advertised on the ”High life” website , as offering a 10% discount for High Life members. So In we went with out membership cards and asked for a take away. They were taking our order and then they said the manager was not. I showed her the website which I’m attaching a few pictures of. She said no discount. I showed another member of staff and he also just said “the manager isn’t here” . It wasn’t a nice experience they made me feel bad for expecting what they advertise on the high life website.

What a dreadful experience. We went in, without a booking, at lunchtime on a weekday in early June. We were the first table occupied (one table arrived later). Menu was limited, but fine for what we were after. Haggis Pakora and salad turned out to be a "glasgow salad" (chips!). Surly staff who wouldnt come to table for order (remember we were the only table in) and shouted over for us to come to the back to order. The staff could not have been less interested, and whilst not rude exactly made it clear they would rather be anywhere else. Food was pretty bad, service was terrible. I tried to warn the next table to come in (a group of four backpackers), not sure if they took the advice......... Just. Avoid. At. All. Costs..........
