I have to start of by saying I love Indian food and have been to a few Indian restaurants in Inverness, I was so looking forward to going here as reviews are good!! I knew the prices where high so wasn’t surprised! My huge disappointment was the food!!! Chicken tikka starter was good, we asked for pakora and was told to get the crispy lentil bites, they where horrible! Nothing like normal pakora! Then mains butter chicken and chicken hydrabady both just tasted weird! So I definitely won’t be back! £120 mmm not worth it at all!! So many better places for Indian food at a much cheaper price!! I though I was going to get something a bit special and was gutted! Hidden service added to bill that I didn’t realise!! I have no idea why this place would get a 5 star, it’s funny everyone that hasn’t given 5 star are all saying the same thing!!!!!

I am not sure how this place got good reviews and how true these good reviews are. My honest review is below The food is average there is no wow factor. food is very expensive compared to the portion as the portion is very very small. Eg: chicken fried rice is £16 and the portion is the size of a small porridge bowl. Some of the food items on the menu we wanted was not avilable, apparently out of stock. I can understand that and it is not a negative comment. We bought a prawn manchurian (£21), a fried rice (£16),a small rice portion and a apple tiser (£4.50)totalling us £45 (including 10% service charge and VAT). It is a considerably big bill for very small portions. It is a rip off to be honest. We would not visit again.

Had a great day out in Inverness and love a good Indian but struggle to find a nice one up here. It didn’t disappoint and will be going back. Great service by Athinia and Reuben

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful Indian restaurant, and I must say, the experience was exceptional!From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles. The staff’s knowledge of the menu was impressive, and they guided us through the dishes with great enthusiasm and passion. Not only was the food delicious, but the teams attentiveness and genuine care for our dining experience truly stood out. The recommendations were spot on, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Reuben and Warren’s exceptional service definitely added to the overall enjoyment of our evening, and I can't wait to return to this restaurant for another delightful experience. Highly recommend asking for Reuben/ Warren when you visit!

I am pleased to write this review in regards to my dinner I ate it was absolutely amazing and the decoration on the plate was great, Sharon Khan & Ruben were outstanding. I'd definitely eat there again.

The food was average at best …for the price I was expecting something special and in was anything but. The portions wasn’t great but that wouldn’t have mattered if it was good. My meal and my friends was cold before we had finished. We walked away disappointed.

The food was delicious. We were very happy to find Indian food after eating Baked beans, chips and scrambled eggs for three days in most meals. The staff are kind and polite. While it was difficult to find baby friendly food, the staff gave dal and rice without charging for it.

The starter prawn was really good! In the main course basmati rice was good and quantity was perfect. The gravy in the chicken dishes was really tasty but the chicken was not fresh and you could really taste and know it is almost about to turn bad. The ambience and cleanliness was really good. But the main course really disappointed us.

We had a lovely night today. Great service, friendly staff and better atmosphere 😃 definitely a place to come back and that I highly would recommend, and each one of the guests who attended which were 10 in total. Thank you for a lovely night 😊

Unjustified high rating in my view. The food was alright, but certainly not the quality you would expect from the relatively high price level. Portions were small and the dish I ordered was mostly sauce with little in it.

I paid for 3 x 3 course dinners and 2 children’s main meals ( fish fingers + chips @ £8.50 each). An extra starter of spring rolls and an extra portion of ice cream was classed as a two course meal for which I was charged £24. Not at all impressed or amused.

I have eaten at this restaurant 3 times. The first 2 were ok, the food was nothing special and excessively overpriced... Having seen the good reviews, I was convinced that my experience must be an exception and tried a third time. This time, the food was unmistakably bad.. I couldn't even eat my dish. Some of the dishes were OK but definitely not worth the 18-22£ each + the 10% service charge. I think this restaurant needs to review their prices, their 14£ minimum spend per person, their added 10% and most of all the quality of their food. A well below average meal cost us almost 150£ for 4 people (this was including 2 glasses of wine and 3 beers). The food needs to be a lot better to charge these prices.

Not great, expensive. Service terrible. Waiter clearing plates while others were still eating. Service charge added to the bill. Not a great experience. Beer and wine atrociously over priced!!!

Paid for 3 x3 course meals and 2 x children’s fish finger and chips. One extra portion of spring rolls and one extra portion of ice cream (£10 and £5 on a la carte menu) was charged as a two course meal at £24. Needless to say, not amused.

Oh my days! What a bill we got. Extortionate prices outweighed the enjoyment of our evening out. My food was tasty and good and i enjoyed it. The other members in my party thought that the food was pretty average for the price point. One said it was more like soup than a curry. We just could not get over the prices, which put a dampner on the whole evening. In fact we actually wanted to get up and leave upon realising, but felt that we couldn't as we had booked a table. They really have made an error with their pricing. We thought the prices before were at the top end and now they have just soared. I think a small coke was £4.50, which is quite ridiculous. You could literally go to dishoom in Edinburgh, an absolutely beautiful restaurant with higher quality dishes, get loads more delicious food for the same price point. It just is not worth the money in my view. Cannot justify paying those prices moving forwards, which is a shame as we used to quite like going there. The staff and owners are totally lovely. The service was really good. Have not got a single bad word to say about that. Friendly and attentive. My only hope is that they change the prices back to what they were before and I'd be glad to return.

I’m Indian and their food was impressive! Spoke to the management to realise they are the same company that started pizza by the bay(Mumbai)! Always great to find ghar ka khaana far away from home! Biryani and mutton was really good

I was very disappointed with their service and taste of the food. I went there based on the Google reviews, but it wasn’t upto the mark, it was over priced restaurant.

Too salty, too expensive for what was delivered. Rice for Indian Main Meal was not Basmati. Naan - well - more like Chapatti and stale. God knows why we had Thai chilli sauce delivered when we ordered 2 Indian meals. This was meant to be a 23rd Dec easy meal. Most of the delivery went in the bin and we had cheese and crackers instead. I have asked for a refund, I will update if I head from the StrathNess Hotel.

It was really good ! Much better than most of the Indian restaurants in London. Must Try - LAMB ROGANJOSH, Biryani and garlic naan The lamb roganjosh was exquisite! Absolutely spot on and the perfect dish to have after a tiring day roaming around the highlands. Recommend to all tourists who visit Inverness and to the locals who want to have authentic Indian food. Not sure on the Chinese food, didn’t try. But looking at the menu, it is indo-chinese and not proper Chinese. So if that’s not your preference, don’t come here for that.

Wasn’t sure what to expect as first ( and last) visit to this restaurant. Eye watering prices for cold , salty , batch cooked food. £140 for one course each! Honestly- Save your money and go elsewhere.

We ordered an Indian curry (chicken tikka masala) parts of the curry was cold, extremely salty. We also ordered a Chinese curry and again it was cold in parts and very salty. The prices were very high for the food we received. I am very disappointed and we will not be visiting again as £22 for a small portion of salty cold curry is a bit steep in my eyes. Shame as it’s a nice atmosphere

This restaurant was recommended by family who had visited. It is simply fantastic! I had the festive menu and it was absolutely sublime. The rice was easily the best I've ever eaten, so was the garlic naan. No hesitation give it a visit, you will not be disappointed.

Can’t recommend enough, the food was 10/10. We will be back! We were first table in and served our meal incredibly fast but not made to feel like we had to leave.

Popped in for lunch, I was the only one in which raised questions? Firstly the staff are amazing, very attentive and friendly. The food was good, didn't light up the room but was fresh and tasty, prawns were fresh, veg had a crunch, rice perfect. It the price reflected the meal size and hospitality then this would be 5 star. As it is for one meal and 2 bottles of beer I find £35 too high, the restaurant being empty I feel is a reflection of this. Lower the prices and more people will come because the foods will speak for itself.

Absolutely lip-smacking food. Had a delivery for Thai Red curry, Rice, Tai Chein Chicken both were really good. Slightly disappointed about the prices, could be less pricey.

We were really impressed with the dishes we ordered. The garlic naan was light and crispy. They had a nice kids menu. The service was great. They had a holiday 2-3 course special that was quite the steal. Lots of food for a reasonable price. The mango lassi was fantastic.

Authentic Indian & Chinese. Run by Indians it's as close to Indian authentic food as is possible. D best in Inverness. There r many 'Indian' restaurants run by Pakistanis & Bangladeshis where u get shortchanged. But d place won't take order beyond 7 pm local time. So be on time.

Stopped by based on the Google reviews for Chinese food. We ended up really disappointed - a very limited and overpriced menu, with little to no atmosphere. Not in anyway the oriental food we had been desiring. Would not recommend

Fantastic food, great service, very hospitable staff.

The food was incredibly disappointing. Sweet and sour was more like a soup and the ribs were clearly the vacuum packed ones that come in ready meals from supermarket. Service is fine, nice enough, but not very warm, just polite. Pricey for the quality. I wouldn’t go again.

The place served amazing Indian food, ordered Curry, Garlic Naan and Noodles, it was really delicious, I loved it, the service was also quite good, order was served promptly, hygiene and cleanliness was also upto the mark.

Not the best experience, food was barely warm. Portions were very small. Server started clearing plates while others in our party were still eating, not professional!! Beer prices were way too expensive. We have been previously and found that on this occasion it was most definitely below par. Wouldn't rush back or recommend. For the price charged, service and food need to improve. Beware, they add a service charge onto your bill, this I hate. If I want to tip, I will do it at my discretion!!!!!!!

Good Lamb Rogan, authentic at least to GB. No reso but owner got me in if I was quick... as I requested to make my concert. Very nicely remodeled old stone structure on the River . Attentive and pleasant service. I don't always like Indian cuisine but this was good.

For the price, food was ok. We got lamb josh which had literally 3 pcs of lamb and panner which had few pieces of it and rest were veggies. Food is ok for non desi crowd. The only thing we were satisfied of was the cleanliness. We knew we wouldnt get upset tummy.

The Manager, Lisa, made things right for me the following evening and apologized. I brought back the cold uneaten food in exchange for hot food, which was quite delicious.😋😋 Thank you! Below is the review I gave yesterday night based on them unfortunately forgetting to pack my to go with silverware and napkins. I ordered over the phone and asked if they deliver and informed them my hotel is just across the river and that I am sick with the flu. The woman who took the call told me deliveries cost £8.00 plus, so I said I am sick, but okay I will walk over to pick up. It took me 9 minutes to walk to their restaurant. I was friendly and stated to the woman they have a very nice dining area. When I feel better, I will come back to dine inside your restaurant. She never responded except to say “here’s your order, goodbye!” I wore a mask to avoid exposing her and others to my flu. Once back in my room I discovered she gave no napkins or silverware. What does that mean? My hotel did not offer any either, so that meant I couldn’t eat it properly. I called and spoke with a gentleman who stated stand out front for me, because I am coming right over with the silverware and napkins. I did as he asked and found myself waiting 25 minutes, so went back to my room. At this point the food is cold and there is no microwave or refrigerator, which spells food waste. Remember I am sick with the flu running a fever. Then my phone rings and I asked the gentleman what happened. He apologized stating “Unexpected! Here now and here it is!” He handed over a bag. I thanked him. Once back in my room I realized I picked up at 9:15 pm and he arrived with my silverware and napkins at 10:38 pm. I just put it into the bag to join the cold food. Ate the garlic nan bread and drank the mango lassi, so went to bed on not a completely empty stomach. ✨🌟I would still try them again, and they did make things right for me.🌟✨

Had a delicious lunch here today. Ordered the Chicken Hyderabadi and it was truly extraordinary. Perfectly spiced. Highly recommended

Amazing Indian food. If you’re visiting Scotland, you must try some of the best Indian food here at Tiger on the wall. Warren was super friendly as well and gave us great recommendations around the area!

A lovely room with great furnishings (especially the chairs.) The lighting was a little bright but that's just my preference. The service was perfect, efficient and friendly. The food was delicious ( the poppadoms were very tasty) and being able to have Indian and oriental was great for groups with different tastes.

We choose Tiger on the wall for my wife's birthday meal. The food was amazing and the staff couldn't be more pleasant and helpful .the service was quick and the food will definitely be remembered . The best .

Delicious dinner. Maybe the best samosas we’ve ever had. Enjoyed our entrees with yummy naan.

Very disappointed with the quality of the food here - chunks of meat in a thick gravy. Three curries between us with almost identical, uninspiring flavour. Such a shame as this style of cooking is normally vibrant and exciting. Service was good, although the service charge on top of the meal cost was an unwelcome surprise. Plenty of cheaper and tastier options within a very short distance - likewise the drinks.

We had chicken korma and chef special chicken kadai. Both very nice and full of taste, served with steamed rice. Table service was nice and adequate. Food was served quickly. The naan was thin and dry, exactly how we like it.

The welcome and service from waitress was very good. However ,the price per meal and drink £20 for a korma and £4.50 for a 330ml coke was just unacceptable considering the extremely small portion and overcooked meat we received.. I left feeling unsatisfied. Will not return again until they address the Price, Qality off food and portion size.

First time visit good welcome from the waitress. Small Menu of choice. Portions are small.Re heated Chicken over cooked. Naan bread small. Over priced for Tourists. Not value for money or experience. Will not be returning or recommending. Too any groups. Plenty Brand Restaurants offer Freshness/ Value for money even with the cost of living increase/Adult portion size.

Sfeerloos .eten was bijna koud geserveerd. Te veel betaald in verhouding kwaliteit van het eten ..kale inrichting ..het leek wel een soort kantine .Niet voor herhaling vatbaar .

Had heard good rings about it, but found choice of dishes limited. Very few starters we fancied. The tandoori was broken so no naan bread didn't help matters. They did let us know but late in the day didn't leave us many options ro rethink. Food was fine though.

Not sure why this place is highly rated. Certainly overrated. It’s falsely advertises as authentic Indian food. For those who are none the wiser, it might fly. Not only was it far from being authentic, it was barely well made, and overpriced too. I thought I’d try their ‘oriental’ options and went for a vegetable noddles dish, which was dry and barely had any vegetables. The size of an appetiser for the price of a main. I’m sure there are better Indian restaurants around. I had better Indian at Chilli Masala in Dingwall - cheaper and more options, too.

We got into this restaurant at short notice, when we arrived we were seated and served very quickly by very friendly and helpful staff. The atmosphere was ok, but nothing special. The biggest shock was the price. The food was nice but not epic, I felt a moderate cook could replicate at home, However for 2 adults and a child with no dessert and only 1 starter with no alcohol, came to over £100. In summary, a nice place to go if you've nowhere else to go but better and cheaper places are around.

We visited with friends on the August 27th and the food was so bland with no taste and the food was burnt for the vegetarians and food poisoning the next day for the Non-Vegetarians. For the price of 20£ for a curry is too much for the services and the taste.

First, be aware that they have a dine-in menu and a take-away menu. The price for dine-in is about 46% higher than take-away, and there’s also a service fee. Second, the food didn’t meet our expectations for their high price. Food was served unexpectedly fast, but one of chicken dishes we ordered had a stale meat smell. On the good side, service is friendly and the restaurant is clean with a good view. But i wouldn’t recommend this restaurant

Food was decent. But it is super overpriced for such an ordinary restaurant. Some items were more expensive than in a Michelin star restaurants in London. Won’t be going here ever again.

We stopped in to try this restaurant as my daughter was looking for some Gluten free options after too many Pub runs and were very impressed with them. The food was good and the portions we had were a nice size and good value. besides...

Food was okay. The Aloo Gobi did not seem great but the other dishes were really good. Food arrived super surprising fast which we had not expected at all. Ambience is good.

Ordered takeout from here for a family of 7 adults, and we were delighted. Ordered 5 mains- the butter chicken and chicken korma were especially notable - veg egg rolls, lentil bites, tikka bites and naan.

In einem wirklich angenehmen Ambiente mit schönem Ausblick auf den Ness bekommt man hier leckere, aber nicht herausragende indische, so wie thailändische Küche. Leider stimmt das Preisleistungsverhältnis nicht so ganz. Für weniger Geld haben wir da schon durchaus besser indisch und auch thailändisch in Schottland gegessen. Daher nur 4 Sterne. Das Personal ist durchweg sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und dabei nicht aufdringlich. Wir hatten Glück und haben spontan um 18 Uhr an einem Wochentag noch einen Tisch für 4 Personen bekommen. Es ist aber ratsam zu reservieren, denn es war sehr gut besucht.

Food was authentic Indian food. we felt it little pricey when we dine-in. But when we ordered it online by deliveroo price was different and reasonable. But overall good option in Inverness.

Best place in Inverness. The food is really tasty and it has an amazing view on the castle. It is truly a hidden gem :)
