Balti Mahal Indian Takeaway in Highland

Sorry to say but my food wasn't good, Chicken tikka nann kebab. Chicken was rubbery and tasteless, nann was like dough and the cabbage(salad) Was watery and tasted like it was on the turn... The watery part made the nann soggy and not very nice.

Food was absolutely amazing and staff were very friendly & polite loved their service. Had a biriyani quantity was a lot for me hardly ate half of it

Our go to Indian takeaway, reasonable pricing, great service and the food is always top notch and just what's needed after a long week at work. Thoroughly recommend 👍

OK take away. You can get a feeling of oil being used quite few times.

I have had to change my review as the balti has gone down hill. Chips not even cooked cheese on pizza not cooked everything cold. Won't be using again. Shame as the balti used to be amazing.

I ordered my grandson a pizza what an absolutely fantastic young man came with it I don’t know his name but was lovely speaking to him.

I ordered chicken kabab with salad, hot & spicy pizza, its not a proper salad they only served cabbage, and I ordered chilli and garlic sauce dips but I got only Chilli sauce. Couple of weeks ago I ordered same that was good.

Mediocre food . There's another Indian off the High Street Bonnie Bhalti that's 10x better. I bought a chicken Tikka kebab last night and when I got home after a 10 min walk it was stone cold and the chicken was like rubber.

I was asked to do local reviews on Instagram and came here. I have now been a few times and the food is very tasty,always fresh and hot. I would highly recommend here to anyone. The workers are extremely well mannered and its always very clean. I have now reviewed 27 take aways in the highlands of Scotland and this place is in my top 5. Not a great takeaway use the Balti in Alness a bit but being a Monday it was shut so decided to try here. Curries had a weird taste to them so couldn’t eat them. The pizza and kids meal was fine and the guy on the phone and serving was pleasant

Went here as bonnie bhaji was shut. Worst Indian, ordered a passanda & butter curry. Chicken was vile & not fresh passanda sauce texture was disgusting & tasted sour, a garlic naan which was swimming in oil & the worst one we have ever had, 4 poppudoms & all dips. We got 2 burnt poppudoms & no dips! Howe paid £41 for missing items! Kids Chicken nugget meal. Which my son is now sick. Definitely wouldn’t go back!!

I always give buisnesses I've never been to before 2 trys. 1. Turkey, Ham and Pineapple Pizza - ingrediants tasted cheap and bland. 2. Donor meat and chips - meat wasn't cooked fully and chips were reheated (at least twice) so were rock hard. I won't be back.

Called in on way to Balintore. Lamb curry n pilau rice. .10-15 minute wait. Home 15 mins later. Topped up the heat and served. Abso. Looo tly fantastic. Full of flavour.Much recommended .5🌟

The style of curry is a little different from the style I am used to at home. Never the less the food was tasty and plentiful, in fact we had it the next day for supper.

I called this evening to request some food. My first item was for a special kabab, was then told we don't do special kababs anymore and put the phone down! Drove down to speak in person and his excuse was he was too busy at the time to take my order. Well you've definitely lost our custom.

Watery and tasteless Passanda almond sauce which seemed to be made mainly of tomato soup with lumps of cashew, semi raw peshwari naan with bright red food colouring inside, greasy poppadums and not one single staff member wearing masks. Truly the worst takeaway ever.

The only reason I give this review is because you hit kids. I will definitely for that reason be avoiding your establishment and I hope everyone who thinks hitting a child is wrong will do the same.

Delivered to me more then 30 mins away did charge extra but heyyyy food was amazing

Been many times staff are very friendly and food is fresh and hot every visit 😊 can't fault them , obviously a longer wait during busy spells but does not affect the quality of food.

We ordered doner and chips, and prawn Burmese. I had to wait an hour and half for delivery. When received it, the Burmese was over coconut. The doner meat and chips was nowhere near cooked. The meat was pale and the majority of the chips were hard in the middle. Never ordering from there again.

Order took an hour and a half to get delivered and when it was delivered they got my order wrong. DO NOT buy from here. Scam.

Waited over 2 hours for a simple delivery just 5 minutes up the road, No apology from the takeaway at all for the very late delay, when it eventually managed to turn up at the door, it was cold box of dripping grease, turned my stomach to the point it got flung in the bin and £12 down the drain. This is not the first time this has happened either. No excuse for disturbingly disgusting food and terrible service. Will never use again and spend my money somewhere nice where they treat their customers with respect.

Shocking service waited for over 2 hours for a simple delivery. Will never use again, the whole dish was swimming in Grease, disgusting, no apology from them either for the lateness. Go elsewhere not worth the money for a box of cold grease.

Best indian takeaway in highland, fresh and super quality foods, very good service, really recommended.

We normally have a mixed feast Kebab Which has always been brilliant tonight we had chicken Tikka biriyani and it was amazing absolutely loads we had to save a load for another day ,Soo tasty

Since my last review was a while ago, it was 3 stars. However after my last 2 orders from them I have to change this to 1 star rating. Me and my partner both got severely ill from eating their dishes, different ones entirely as well. I ordered the korma and it tasted old, dry and just generally not good at all. My partner said hers tasted disgusting as well. Go to a restaurant, seriously it is NOT worth the illness you will get after.

Good food but can be a little expensive. Wide range of food and the people are a laugh. Would recommend
