Ashers have a takeaway section plus a separate counter for the adjoining sit in restaurant in the downstairs part of the St Giles Shopping Centre.
There is a good selection of hot and cold light lunch options plus soup, cakes, and filled sandwiches/ rolls, and the usual hot and cold drinks. Prices are what you would expect from this type of establishment.
Service was quick and friendly from Jane and I had an enjoyable snack.
Appalling, no interest shown, soup was a tin of corn whizzed, toastie straight from a brevil, drinks warm prices high, when you see chips n cheese on the menu you know your in the wrong place . Abandon all hope those who enter here, a fourth rate greasy spoon 🤢🤢
Order your pizza in the Spar then enjoy a drink in the bar by the campsite. Great tasty fresh pizza properly cooked - what a revelation. And you can get hot breakfast rolls in the morning. Makes camping a treat.
Mi cena fue entregada con los ingredientes equivocados que se negaron a arreglar, agregaron atún en lugar de anchoas. . cosas totalmente diferentes y no me gusta el atún , ni siquiera podía recogerlo como estaba en todas partes
This is the original end of a greatly enlarged Kingshouse Hotel (of which the rest seems to have gone upmarket) where Glencoe meets Rannoch Moor. A basic bar with basic prepared pies, sandwiches and chips, warmed up to order, with beer & plenty of whiskies. Substantial offerings for hungry hikers and travellers, and welcome for those who need it. Friendly and generous—we were given an extra pie because one had a broken crust—but nothing particularly special. Not much choice hereabouts, and OK if you are in the right place at the right time, but not a destination in itself.
Popeye's is attached to the Ferry Inn and appears to share a kitchen. It doesn't look like much from the outside. It is a simple uncomplicated pub with some basic seating and minimal ambience. The menu runs heavily to what you'd expect - we had a burger and a chicken sandwich and both were perfectly good. There is a full selection of drinks as well as coffee. Service was quite quick which was good as we stopped in here while on our way to the ferry terminal which it is maybe a 5 minute walk from. The service was friendly and welcoming.
Tasted absolutely rotten! Chips are frozen which is disappointing from a chippy van and the burger came out of a plastic bag that had water in it. Burger tastes as though it had been boiled and wasn’t cooked in the middle.
