Lovely takeaway pizzas with one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had! Delicious wine too (thank you!!). Great start to our break away. Will be ordering again next time we are in the area.

Delicious food at a great price

Staying in a holiday house in Dornoch, and the previous people in the house had recommended getting takeaway food from the Crannag Bistro in Bonar Bridge. It was a great recommendation - we ordered food for 3 of us and it tasted fantastic. The prawn and strawberry salad was a highlight. Lovely people too, who obviously care. Thank you!

I am glad the Bistro is still running. Best food I had in Scotland and great tips for travelling with the motorbike in the Highlands. Friendly hosts, food sourced in the area - go there when you can. Bonar Bridge might be the most boring place in Scotland (according to some travel guides) - this bistro makes it worth visiting every time.

I cannot stress enough how amazing their food was and how much I think about flying to Scotland and braving driving a rental just to go here one more time (when there's not a pandemic). It was an absolute pleasure and one of the best meals my friends and I had in Scotland. Tip: Save room for an app, main and dessert or you'll regret it

Another amazing Crannag experience tonight - succulent venison medallions & delicious confit chicken risotto. Can't believe this quality is available as takeaway food!!

We were there for New Year's Eve. 🎉🎉 The Mussel Chowder was delicious; the Venison Stew was tasty and a generous serving. Overall, the 3 course dinner was value for money. The host was extremely friendly and entertaining with his eclectic mix of music. We really enjoyed our evening. Would DEFINITELY visit again on our next visit around Bonar Bridge. 👍👍

This two person operation are a well oiled machine. Everything was incredibly tasty and produce was fresh and local. The serves are sizeable, so choose wisely!

Sehe nettes kleines Restaurant welches nur von einem Mann und seiner Frau bewirtschaftet wird. Es gibt keine Karte sondern nur eine Tafel an der Bar mit den aktuellen Gerichten. Diese waren sehr lecker. Sowohl der Fisch als auch das Fleisch. Der Inhaber war sehr freundlich und hat uns gerne gesagt wie man das Essen nachkochen kann.

Wonderful meal, steak was amazing

What a hidden gem! Having arrived in town late on a friday evening, we stumbled in to a very warm welcome from Ian and a top notch meal. The bar promises 'good healthy measures' on the spirits and did not let us down! I was blown away by the quality of the food and the experience overall. I highly recommend everybody to dine here if they are in the area.

Liefde, liefde voor de ingrediënten, liefde voor de bereidingswijze, liefde voor de klandizie. Doe jezelf niet te kort en stap binnen.

Tout simplement le meilleur repas de notre voyage en Écosse. L'agneau cuit lentement était incroyable tout comme le risotto de poisson et les entrées. Pour parfaire le tout, on y est très bien accueilli et le bar dispose d'une belle collection de whiskey.

Every eclectic dish has its own unique goodness, one better than the next, and while could not try them all, recommend asking for recommendations and pairings. Also staff recommended picks for other restaurants in nearby towns.

We only have one restaurant in Bonar Bridge, and thank goodness it's this one! Top quality ingredients, a chef who works magic with them, and a host who knows his food and wines - and how to have a wee blether with his guests, if he's not too busy. I highly recommend the cheesecake. Top marks all around, a real Highland gem!

Absolument délicieux! Nous avons eu la chance de pouvoir nous glisser entre deux réservations (il y a très peu de table, réservez avant!) et tout était parfait, autant la cuisine que le service. J'étais sceptique en goutant l'auto-proclamé meilleur chocolat chaud du monde à Durness le matin même, et bien là je peux dire que j'ai mangé le meilleur agneau de ma vie! Cuisson basse température, il fondait dans la bouche. Un pur délice.

Cosy bistro and the Vietnamese Caramelised Pork was delicious.

Had a wonderful evening here with family. Wonderful welcome, very cosy and comfortable and the food was sublime! I had the duck which was perfectly cooked, and my son thought his rib-eye steak was perfection. I tried the meringue for pudding and was very pleased, as was my son with the treacle pudding. The house wine was beautifully chosen too & lovely. All in all a wonderful evening - thank you!

My partner Phil and I agree the Crannag Bistro provides the best restaurant food either of us has ever experienced. The food is exquisite and very very reasonably priced, the decor and music are both good and the owner is a charming and witty host, his wife is the excellent chef. The whole experience has been a memorable one for all the right reasons, I cannot recommend the Crannag Bistro highly enough.

Not the cheapest solution for dinner, but definitely a great one. They have simple and more complex dishes, but even a burger will make your visit worthwhile. They will bring you a blackboard with a rich handwritted menu, which I really liked, and you will find friendly people who can help you decide what to eat. We loved our time there!

Wonderful, great place, owners are exceptional hosts and the food is absolutely outstanding. We had a delicious salmon starter and perfect lamb! If you're anywhere near make a detour to visit!

Wen man auch nur annähernd in der Nähe ist, unbedingt einkehren, es ist eine besten Möglichkeiten sehr gut zu essen. Bin vor Jahren durch Peter Irvine`s "Scotland the Best" darauf aufmerksam geworden. Lohnt sich auf jeden Fall. Seit 2099 mehrmals dort gewesen, nie enttäuscht worden, immer sehr zufrieden gewesen.

Fantastic Food! My wife and I had a risotto with smoked fish and peas. Afterwards we had a talk with the owners. Very friendly people who run this Bistro with passion. Stop by if you are looking for creative and good tasting food.
