Booked a meal deal a month ago. Day before arrival got e mail asking if we wanted to upgrade to a meal deal. Arrived to a big electronic display showing restaurant and meal deal. Told at reception no evening meals available we could have a refund. Very poor. Nearest alternative Morrisons cafe (which had practically nothing on the menue or McDonalds. Ruined our stay .

Booked a meal deal here for dinner and breakfast with our overnight stay 5 months before arriving. Received an email 3 months before arrival saying restaurant name changing but breakfast and dinner still available. Arrive to find restaurant closed for dinner - apparently permanently! Why are you not informimg customers? Also, still taking bookings for the meal deal (I checked the Premier Inn website today and it's still promoting the meal deal). I phoned central reservations and they didn't even know if the restaurant was open or closed. Unbelievable.

Terrible place we are group of 5 motorbikers booked 3 rooms with the meal deal when we checked in they said there was no evening meals and no bar, they said due to staff shortages which was a load of crap as on doing a bit of research it has had the problem since the 4th of July the previous night at Ayr you could not fault 10/10 Fort William needs a total refurb

We stayed at Premier Inns in Dumbarton and Fort William on consecutive nights during the past week. We were totally disgusted with the cost comparison of the two establishments. Dumbarton on a Monday stay was £64 however Fort William for Tuesday night was an eye watering £224. When asked why the answer “ it’s all about where we are”. Pathetic comment. We had a meal next door , on both nights and they were just as bad a each other. Can’t see us stopping in Fort William ageing except for evening meal at an independent restaurant which was amazing. If anyone from Premier Inn wish to offer some more sensible comment, please feel free.

First time we have stayed in Fort William. Stayed at the Premier Inn next door. Decided to eat here and bad mistake. We ordered Rump steak well done and the same medium. Food arrived only warm. Well done steak was medium and medium was rare! Then to top it all off we were asked to leave at 10pm!!! As they were closing? This is a Friday night! Very poor. Stayed in many Premier Inns and had some great nights in Brewers Fayre Pubs and never been asked to leave at 10pm. No heating on in November. Went back to the hotel to get warm. Speechless!!! Never again here. P.s Premier Inn was fine.

My wife and I decided to return to this Restaurant after visiting 5 years ago, we ordered a shared starter which came quickly was nice and hot so far so good then our main course arrived after 30 mins waiting . What a disaster I had ordered "The Chicken Dinner" it was awful Potatoes black, Chicken the same , I had another item that I cannot say what it was as it was just a cinder on the side, My wifes meal not much better except for the Carrots they where good the Gravy in the little jug had a skin on the top. Serving staff very good and apologetic sadly Kitchen staff let them down again. We left without even trying the Main course. Avoid at all cost

Let me tell you that the fish served here is far superior to that served up in a well know establishment in Whitby Delicious The banana sponge was glorious Personally I hate those skinny chips unfortunately although I can see why they are served up at lunchtime as they are swift to fry The coffee is great but It came served in a state of the art Perspex type of receptacle which was rather soulless. For me nothing compares to holding a lovely hot cup of coffee between two hands but that’s just me. Skinny chips and Perspex cup not withstanding, I’ll be back for some more if that fish

Came for dinner after arriving at the Premier Inn for 3 nights. We had booked a table online highlighting dietary needs these got completely ignored when host (illiana- i think) took us to the table. We only got the options to order through the app - which we tried to but couldn't due to my dietary needs. Luckily Alan, came to the rescue and sorted everything for me and my sister, making sure everything was okay for me to eat. The food was good and standard for the establishment. 1 way systems in place which staff don't follow but guests/customers do. Face masks are worn by all (unless they are exempt).

its all bad. nothing about this restaurant was good, it was under staffed to start with, so getting a drink at the bar was a case of join the very long queue of people waiting to order and pay for food, in my view the orders should be taken at your table, not a nice experience when you have had a long drive, the food itself was ok but nothing great, the staff looked so stressed and unhappy, if you are staying at the premier inn make sure you reserve a table as I saw lots of people turned away even though they had spaces, this in my book was so bad and the comments and looks on peoples faces said it all, not a very nice experience at all and nor was the big jobs vacancy sign right by where you went in, would not recommend this place to anyone

Due to everywhere been full we decided to come to the premier inn restraunt in fort william. I have never experianced a poor reastraunt like it. Tables where free and we were told to wait between 15 minutes to half an hour. We then got seated and ordered our food. Nothing major just sausage eggs and chips 3 times and mac and cheese. It took around 45 minutes until we received this and the quality of the food was terrible. The chips where luke warm the sausages seemed to be cooked and then warmed up for when ordered the only thing that was cooked decent enough where the eggs. I highly recomend this not to be a place to go for a meal as you will be highly disappinted

On Friday at 7:45am, I booked a table on Saturday 0830hr. Arrived and the staff who met us just asked "which room?" and when I said, I booked online, she basically told us that she could not serve us and we had to leave! After explaining, she (reluctantly) gave us a table - why she wasn't told about our booking is mind boggling. Amazingly, there were only a few people in the restaurant when we arrived. So while I can appreciate that those who stayed in the Premier Inn might have "priority" to the tables - we weren't planning to hog any of their tables!

I ordered the mixed grill and upgraded to include an 8oz Rib Eye. Requested medium rare and it came more than well done. I brought this up with one of the servers and in fairness they cooked me a fresh steak which was fine but there was no apology in sight for the error.Food is ok for what you pay but service is diabolical. Long waiting time to get served whether at the bar or ordering food. Staff seemed very flustered and it was not that busy. We are yet to see a smile from any of the serving staff. We stayed at the Premier Inn in Fort William for two nights recently. The accommodation was fine, reasonably priced and definitely good value; the reception staff friendly and helpful. Unfortunately they are let down by their adjacent restaurant, the Brewers Fayre, where we ate on the first night, but thereafter decided to skip breakfast the following morning. Although the food is actually served by waiters/waitresses there is a strange system in place – and which presumably applies to other Brewers Fayre establishments – whereby you have to order your food at the front desk/bar, where you queue up for several minutes, indicate your table number, place your order, and which is then delivered to you. The waiter was friendly enough, but the meals, while modestly priced, were hugely disappointing. I had the ‘New Yorker’ burger, which was an absolute travesty of a burger, completely overcooked, and served on a near-stale bun, and I could barely eat two mouthfuls of it. My wife had the fish pie, which was very bland, containing a lot of mashed potato but hardly any fish and, I think, just one lonely prawn. We would much rather pay a bit more for our meals instead of being served such dismal food. Some will argue that this is what one must expect in chain restaurants such Brewers Fayre, but just compare their fare with what other restaurant chains can do, at identical or near-identical prices, such as Pizza Express, where we have yet to have a disappointing meal after numerous visits in different locations.

We ate at the Brewers fayre the evening we arrived at the Fort William Premier Inn. We'd booked a table and had a short wait to be seated, however the Manager (?) apologied as he cheerfully sat us at our table. He appeared to be the only cheerful member of staff! The 2 females taking food orders were some of the most miserable looking people I've seen for a long time, in fact a man ordering next to me commented to one 'don't worry it's nearly finishing time' and she totally ignored him. The food was typical Brewers Fayre......adequate but nothing to write home about.Breakfast the next morning involved a long wait for someone to come and seat us at a table (and others as the queue got quite long). The yogurts, fruits etc needed topping up (they had run out of low fat yogurts!) and there appeared not to be the usual dried fruits and seeds to scatter onto your cereal. Not up to the usual standard for breakfast and still charged £6.25 a head.......perhaps find a decent cafe next time!

Good coffee, reasonable prices. Staff was friendly, plenty to choose from. They also serve dinner and had beer available. We didn't get to try it.

Pretty average stuff really, nothing flash but then I was not expecting that. The service was nice and friendly and the food arrived fairly promptly. Breakfast was again okay, very busy and the staff seemed a little over worked and understaffed. I would have preferred more fruit choices at breakfast but there was a reasonable choice in offer.

A reasonably priced pub/restaurant with a great view over the loch, Great for a drink as the prices are good but the food is not home made and as there are many other places in the area that do home cooked food I personally would not pay for micro waved/frozen food when I can go elsewhere for similar prices. However the staff were very friendly and helpful. Go for a drink but eat elsewhere/

To find this place, take the roundabout to Morrison's at the end of town, and drive round the back of Macdonalds. There's no sign until you get there - presumably Fort Bill's worthies would rather you didn't know that there was a chain pub here.....This place has its uses: the restaurant is reliably open over good hours, and in my experience deals very well with the volume of customers. It serves all things to all men with a fine range of food. It's nothing special, but its not trying to be flash, just good value - and there for you with nosh and friendly staff.I went there off the hill on a baking hot day, and the staff recommended the 'bottomless' soft drinks. You get a glass, and fill it from the machine with pepsi and such like until it comes out of your ears if you want. All for the price of a regular drink - about £2.20 ish give or take 20p if I recall. Anyway, phew what a scorcher, it was just the ticket.

Me and my husband stayed at this premier Inn as we thought this would be perfect for our stay after we previously stayed at premiere Inn down in high Wycombe. We were so wrong to stay here. We arrived and the room was 32 degrees with no available air con and the smallest fan that didn't cool the room down enough. We went to get settled at 11pm and found dried blood on the bed sheets and the cover. The staff were brilliant and changed them for us however the last thing I thought I'd be doing on holiday was helping change my own bedding. Hardly slept the first night due to the heat and checked the temp which finally came down to just 28 degree's. The next night my husband noticed that the bed was ready was to fall apart if we slept on it, we were that exhausted after our day out so ended up with one on the floor and one on the couch so again another restless nights sleep. The plug socket was also taped with gray tape which was very unsatisfactory. I will from now be more careful over what premier Inn we stay in if any after this last trio. Very disappointing service and very displeased customer of this hotel.

Struggled to keep the breakfast buffet full, full for dinner unless you book, slightly racist behaviour from one staff member, the rest helpful but overwhelmed. Prefer Morrison's supermarket cafe across the road - lighter and cheerier. Or McDonalds across the car park even. Aaaaargh.

Staff were pleasant and helpful and the food was the normal Brewers Fayre pub grub, perfectly acceptable and good value for money. A good selection on the breakfast Buffett.

I always love staying at the Premier inn's and this one was no exception. Quality beds and rooms and not a defect in sight! the inns are excellent but albeit a little pricey than what we are used to in Manchester but your in Scotland so stop moaning! 1 night at the Inn 2014 April will set you back around £140 for one night to rest your weary head on a premier pillow. But then premier does mean the best / better than the rest so...

Very nice breakfast food and a nice atmosphere to come back to after a day in the mountains. Kids loved the evening buffet menu which was excellent value for money. Dave worked very hard and his presence every evening ensured that table reservations were efficient and orderly. He was very welcoming as were all of the staff. Basic pub grub in clean surroundings.

We went here because we were too tired to head off into town that evening, and didn't have very high expectations, but this was still disappointing. Being vegan, we know there is a limited choice for us, but the only non-alcoholic drink not full of colourings etc was the bottled water at 2 quid a pop. On the menu the only vegan food was jacket potato with beans (not served after 6pm!) and the Chinese buffet on that night. We asked if the vegetable dishes were vegan-friendly and the staff started checking the meat dishes on their list to find out. They proudly announced that the chicken curry didn't have egg in it, and the beef no milk, at which point we just about gave up. We gave the Szechuan vegetables a try but they were fairly tasteless and included some pretty dingy mushrooms. Noodles in the vegetable chow mein had obviously been standing for hours and we suspected they had egg in them. The staff were friendly enough, but especially the manager should have had better training (when I was in the pub business, it was standard for even supervisors to do stints in the kitchen and be acquainted with the main dietary groups).

We stopped in Fort William from Loch Lomond on the way to Aberdeen via Glencoe & Loch Ness, and arranged by our tour operator to have lunch in this Premier Inn. There was nothing special with the food (chicken again with the mashed potatoes) and our two boys started to ask whether in Scotland there was no other food than chicken :-( Fortunately, the scenery in Fort William was really awesome so that every body in the group were more interested to take photo's than eating up their lunches .......

Stayed at the Premier Inn and we went for an evening meal, how can they get the basics wrong, had Pork Chop, with peas, mashed potatoes, and gravy. Pork Cop was a big bone with about five mouthfuls of meat, peas were cold, gravy insipid, supposedly hot food on a cold plate. Only redeeming feature was my wifes sausage egg and chips was much better.

Having had an excellent and large lunch in Mallaig, we wanted something light. The platter for two was ordinary, the puddings unexciting. Service was ok. Bizarrely, help yourself coffee!Somewhere to go if you want a reasonably quick, moderately priced average meal.

Ate here for a quick bite to eat after a day in Mallaig. Service was ok and fairly quick but the food tasted bland (we had the fish platter for 2). During the night we felt a little queesy but we weren't ill. I personally put this down to poor quality and overly greasy food. I have eaten at Brewers Fayre before and been perfectly happy, but not here. I would go to the MacDonalds next door !!

Roads End Cafe is a lifesaver at this time of the year, we were on the NC500 and fancied a bite to eat when we got to John o Groats. It is such a basic cafe but still serves hot toasties/sandwiches, soup and small cakes/scones. The lady that served us was lovely, so welcoming and willing to go the extra mile, she even recommended the haggis and cheese toastie which I couldn't turn down. Since it was so quiet, it was takeaway only but she let us sit in due to the gale force winds outside. I have to say the toasties are the best I have had in a while and not even that expensive despite the location, absolutely fantastic. It is a little gem if you're looking for something eat when you reach the most northernly point in Scotland!
