We visited on a Sunday so the main shop was closed, but we had coffee, cake and a Salmon bagel from the caravan. Everything was delicious and the ladies running it all were very helpful and friendly.
After visiting the Elgol shop (which is attached to the village hall) numerous times over the years and enjoyed excellent coffee and cakes we were disappointed to find it's all changed and is now called the Elgol Cafe and is under new management. It's early days as they've only just opened, but we weren't impressed. The cake was nice, but the coffee and service need improvement. Walkers and campers on the Skye Trail should note that basic provisions are no longer sold in the shop. We were pleased to find the Creel van down at Elgol pier is still there and sells the magnificent Elgolian rolls.
We had a lovely trip out to this garden centre today. Beautifully laid out with a great choice of plants. What prompted me to come here and leave a review was the truly excellent staff in the coffee shop. One lady in particular was so warm and welcoming. She obviously has a great rapport with her cafe colleagues too and together they create a fantastic atmosphere to enjoy your treats! Well done folks- you deserve all the acknowledgements and rewards that hopefully come your way. Keep up the high standards!
Good service, tasty breakfast. Nice decor. Dog friendly. Mid priced. Opens at 10 on weekends and 8 on weekdays. We were staying at a local hotel which only did continental breakfast so we went here both days for breakfast. Had small cooked breakfast the first day and Lorne and egg roll on second day. Both were good although breakfast wasn’t very hot. Had dog biscuits for our dog which was nice.
Really pleased to find this hotel restaurant serving food to non-residents early evening (5.30pm), when we were hungry and tired after a day's walking in the Badenoch area.
Service was impeccable, the atmosphere friendly, the seating comfortable and food enjoyable. Would definitely recommend to others.
We had a wonderful meal here from starter to dessert, the menu is very well put together.
I had the scallops to start, beef fillet for main and Delice for dessert, all highly recommended, the beef main course was one of the best pieces of beef I have ever had.
Simply outstanding!!

Extremely delicious and very very nice staff.. One star less for ambiente, because there is always fried smell in the air.. But I ll come back for sure 🥰
We came twice on our short trip nearby- on the Monday it was the only place open that allowed dogs, and on the Tuesday because we liked it so much the day before!
We had breakfast both days and were pleased they offered gluten free options! A great variety of gluten free and vegan cakes on offer too. The coffee was lovely and was what drew us back the next day. It was clearly popular as all tables were full both times!
Thanks again and if we are ever in this area we would come back :)
Very friendly ( Dogs too) club house . Staff and regulars were warm & welcoming and the Cullen Skink was the best I’ve ever had. I’m sure my serving had lobster in it! . Right beside the beach . And massive car park
Found this place after to moving to Dingwall and it's become our favourite place for breakfast. Always cooked really well and the staff are friendly. Big plus seeing all the lovely dogs that come in!
Restaurant du Rokeby manor, joli cadre façon saloon,
Bonne cuisine indienne et écossaise, bien servi produits frais
Excellent kullen skink
Attention c’est vite cher
The Laggan Wolftrax cafe is a superb place to recharge and refuel especially if you're planning a day of mountainbiking on what is some of Scotland's very best trails. The cafe is clean and well presented and the staff are friendly and superb, all backed up by quality items to sample. I opted for the special which was Japanese chicken in BBQ sauce with rice and it was excellent and just what was needed before a day on the trails. There are clean and well maintained restroom facilities also. You can pay to park by RingGo also for convenience. Recommended.
It was awful. The steaks, one half raw and the other was burnt, all 3 steaks were the same. The chips and onion rings were burnt. We were so disappointed and when we sent them all back all the manager said was "well they looked fine to me!" and offered us a magnanimous 10%off. £100 not to eat!!! Never be back, wouldn't even take them home for the dog 😡
