Gairloch Golf Club in Highland

We ate here on Saturday past, we both had the macaroni with chips. Both the chips ( home cooked ) and the macaroni again home cooked were to die for, the best macaroni we have ever tasted. A very big well done to the staff and the chef.

Food fantastic as ever. Home made rhubarb tart was excellent and crab cakes. Kids had great meal and enjoyed playing pool! Highly recommend

Seating inside and out with a nice patio by the 8th and 9th greens. Terrific omelettes, great fries and burgers with a lovely sticky toffee pudding.

Thank you to all the staff at the golf course for a lovely lunch. We pulled in on spec on our way to the beach with our spaniel. He was made very welcome with a treat and his own water bowl which he appreciated as it was a sunny and hot day. The staff were all so helpful and friendly. We enjoyed chowder soup and a toasted panini that came with side salad and potatoe salad. Our coffees were a nice pick me up too. We were sufficiently fuelled and went off to explore the vast beach. There’s an adjacent car park and further toilets once you’ve left the cafe. Thanks everyone. Those views!!!

The food was delicious. The ladies serving were friendly and polite. The place is spotless. Value for money. The portion size is generous. The best sticky toffee pudding I have ever tasted. Ice cream is delicious.

My wife and I attended the restaurant last week with our two dogs and I habe to say the staff were superb with them. Both were given fresh water and treats on entering and the overall service was excellent. My wife loved the Mac and cheese so much we went two days later to be given the same excellent service. Good value, lovely atmosphere. We are back in the area at the end of May and we will definitely be visiting there again. Thanks to all the staff for your kindness to my two pooches....you really meant it when you said dogs are welcome

This is a little gem of a place. !! Doing the NC500 and dropped in to this restaurant after walking the dogs on a beautiful white Sandy beach. Honestly the food is delicious and the staff couldn’t do more to help you. Toilets on site also.

Personnels adorables, souriants patients +++ car mon anglais est très mauvais. Prix très corrects . Excellente cuisine très copieuse : le plat lasagnes à 15£ est accompagné de 3 sortes de petites salades et avec ses 2 tranches de pains ailées grillées...on a du mal à finir ! We have often visited the beach here when holidaying in the area but never been to the golf club cafe so we thought it was about time we did, and we loved it! We had a lovely lunch, Cullen Skink for hubby and a cheese and onion toastie for me, and the cheesiest cheesey chips to share. It was all delicious and the staff were so friendly, to both us and our dogs. Even the chef came to check we were happy. We had a lovely chat with a local couple who sat next to us. I just wished we lived closer as I'd definitely become a regular. See you next time 😄 We didn't have room for dessert but they also looked yummy!

Fantastic place with very welcoming staff. We only popped in to have a look. Ended up spending the whole day including lunch and 9 holes on the golf course. I'm not very good at golf however there was no snobbish behaviour and the owners and other patrons were extremely friendly. Definitely a good contender for all abilities.

Found this little clubhouse after finding all other cafe/restaurants in the area closed. Service first class and very friendly, the food was excellent and the portions very generous Would recommend a visit if passing and the views from the clubhouse are breathtaking

You need to book!! Sunday lunch for 4, £16 each, a little on the pricey side but plenty of food. The tables are a little cramped for 4, we played kneesy with each other. Staff are very friendly and it was well worth a visit.

Great lunch after an interesting round of golf. Lovely welcome to us and the dog. Scampi and lasagna both top notch! Fab plump scampi with lovely soft breaded coating. Homemade potato salad and coleslaw. Thoroughly recommend.

Had an occasion to try Thomases bakes and without a doubt he is the Scone King in whole of West coast. Oh and that ginger cake- dream come true. Amazing service and great craic with Lynda 🙏 food is delicious, highly recommend it to everyone!

The Gairloch Golf course cafe situated next to the beach is due to re-open. The cafe food is wonderful and we have missed it. The golf course is the first one our kids played at and the members always made our kids feel so welcome. Please eat out to help out.

This is a little gem of a cafe. The fish in beer batter was delicious, proper fluffy chips, a generous side salad as well. My partner said his burger was delicious. And all not over-the-top expensive. Plus gorgeous views over the sea.

As luck would have it on the 'eating-out-score' we really struck gold at this wee gem tucked away in this Highland Haven. Never mind about the golf, if it's a tummy-fill you're after this is surely the place. We live in the Highlands and regularly search and sample the cafe style venues all over this breathtakingly beautiful part of the world, but in comparison, this charming 'eatery' in every respect is an outstanding cut above the rest. If you happen to be passing through this area you've got to make a refreshment stop at the cafe next to the golf course at Gairloch - you'll be pleased you did, and if the weather's good, take a stroll afterwards down on the gorgeous sandy beach....what's not to like....for the young and old, we thoroughly recommend it. Well behaved dogs are welcome, and there's a disabled loo there too. At w/ends it would be wise if you book, especially on Sundays. Enjoy !!

You must visit the gairloch golf club cafe for food. It is the best food in the area. The cafe was extended in 2019 as well as the menu and is open all day.Great food, nice staff and caters for families and all.You are missing out if you don’t try it

This is a wonderful 9 hole golf course, immaculately maintained in a glorious setting. The course is testing even on a benign day, yet accessible to all. Families having fun amongst more serious golfers in a beautiful location. Most holes have 2 tees, so there are options for the second 9. Perfect holiday golf!The clubhouse is exceptionally welcoming with a range of food on offer. Three course meals, soup and sandwich, coffee and home-baked cake - whatever you want you will be well looked after and served fresh wholesome food, prepared and presented beautifully. All exceptional value.

Picked up a bounce game after renting clubs and paying for 18. Everyone I met was extremely welcoming and helpful which is a great asset. Played 9 and stopped for a coffee before heading back out. The holes are all different and there are a couple of Tee variations on the back 9 to keep it interesting too! There are a lot of blind shots including a couple of Par3 Tee shots but I think my favourite was the iconic 8th along the beach! Good luck with the open this weekend!

We visited after a round of golf with our boys on a cold, highland spring day. Staff were very welcoming and attentive. They looked after us all well, including our dog who got 2 chews! Food was good and very reasonably priced for the area. £30 for lunch for 4. Will definitely visit again when we’re back in July. Thank you!

Excellent location. Very busy restaurant. Excellent value for money and the staff could not be more helpful. Very good home baking and quick service which helps if you are waiting to golf. HIghly recommend

Great value Sunday lunch...half a roast chicken, stuffing, mash and roast potatoes,carrot, beans, piping hot gravy all for £11 per head. Absolutely fantastic. Lovely friendly service. Quick, clean and perfect. We will be back later in the week. Wishing you every success.

Called in here for a sandwich at lunchtime on a Friday. Views from the tables outside were stunning and staff were welcoming and friendly.

Most scenic golf course with a fantastic cafe.

Firstly, we were glad to find this place open, as a lot of places to eat in the area seemed to have very limited opening times. The meal we had was delicious. It was just the sort of food we were after. Good, hearty grub, nothing too fancy Very generous portions, and I was very pleasantly surprised by the potato salad on the side. It's unusual, but I love potato salad. Thumbs up for that. Very reasonably priced too! Excellent value for money. The only very slight let down was that the tables were very small, and so we struggled a little with space. Apart from that, this was a perfect place to eat out. Defo recommend.

I recently visited the Golf Club for lunch with family! We were actually celebrating a birthday and me being a bit of a judge a place on appearance didn’t have high hopes!

Last year when were in Gairloch the Golf Club cafe was closed but we were delighted to find that it has now re-opened under new management with a menu that has expanded from that of a few years ago. The cafe/restaurant is open to the public and has a very pleasant interior with bar as well as several tables outside overlooking the magnificent course and sea beyond. It serves breakfast items and casual foods throughout the day. We had soup and jacket potato which was very well cooked and delicious. Prices are very reasonable and service really friendly and welcoming. We shall return and definitely recommend it for a good casual meal in superb surroundings.

We spent a day here 2 weeks ago the cafe and food were lovely ,,the view was stunning and the weather was hot and sunny ,,fab place will be going again without a doubt

A nice little links course just on the edge of Gairloch. Visited with a friend and battled the strong blustery winds, but was fun. Nice little cafe/clubhouse. Well worth a visit.

Delighted to be able to return again to the golf club cafe, now happily fully staffed and open to the public for drinks, snacks, lunches, breakfasts, cakes and ice cream. We sat at tables outside in the sunshine overlooking the 9th hole and the stunning Gairloch beach just beyond the dunes. It would be hard to find a more picturesque golf course than this one and for those of us who are non-golfers, the refreshments on offer and the friendly serving staff make it one of our favourite stopping points in Gairloch. Water bowls are provided outside for the dog and free WiFi is also available. What more could one ask?

Many blind holes and a cramped site make this a challenging course. Having said that it is well kept (suffering from lack of rain on our visit) and has great views out to sea and of Gairloch Town. Two sets of tees keep it interesting if you play 18.

Played a round of golf and had lunch. Although not a long 9 hole course, it is in great condition with nice varied holes. Tremendous views. Had a nice lunch afterwards at the cafe, now under new management. Lovely beach next to the course.

We tried the golf course clubhouse for breakfast and were not dissappointed! The two ladies serving were just lovely, so friendly and helpful and always smiling! The chef even popped out to ask if we wanted anything else with our breakfast, really welcoming so we went back again for lunch. We received a warm welcome frombthe ladies who remembered us and we appreciated this. The views from the clubhouse are great and it was very relaxing to eat and enjoy the view. It was busy when we were at lunch and a there was a good vibe about the place. The homemade lasagne was delicious as was their gluten free carrot cake. Facilities were spotless and prices were very good indeed. We will be back again next year but I think it will be busier when more people discover this wee gem of a cafe!

Great 9 hole lay out, interesting holes and amazing views/location. Friendly locals and despite the recent rain the course was amazingly dry as its right behind the sandy beach.

I have played this lovely 9 hole course before, but wanted to revisit. The course is very green and does drain well, especially as there is a fair amount of rain in the area. It has 2 tee positions so 18 holes can be played and gives a different slightly different perspective of each hole. Some of the tees cross fairways so be careful of low flying golf balls. The wind can add an extra challenge so getting a par feels like a good achievement. There is an honesty box, £15 for 9 holes, so on the day I played the club house was shut. I will revisit next time I am in the area.

Having an hour to spare I nipped along to this course for an evening 9 holes. I put my money in the honesty box and teeed off. Luckily a couple of local members gave me some directions otherwise I might have had some difficulty in finding my way. However, I really enjoyed this quirky course and would have loved to have gone round again.

Si estás buscando algún respiro al trabajo duro de subir colinas luego de 9 deliciosamente pintoresco Gairloch holer bien merece unas horas de su tiempo. Seguro el putting superficies son un poquito chungo, pero el campo es lo contrario en excelentes condiciones y es un diseño muy inteligente en un terreno relativamente pequeña de tierra. El par 5 9/15/17 es un verdadero cracker y hay algunas pruebas de par 3. Suntuosas vistas abundan y fue una verdadera alegría para jugar en un día soleado. Mención especial para la señorita muy amable en derecho de recoger los green fees.

Jugó en Gairloch el sábado pasado en Abierto de sólo los hombres. El tiempo era genial, jugando a fantásticos y administrado socios pusieron en un buen partido. Café y panecillos bacon para empezar el día y una bebida fría después me complació al suelo. La competencia del Comité y voluntarios corriendo no podría haber sido más amable, sin exagerar. Campo está situada en una ubicación impresionante, mantenidas en condiciones bastante buenas, teniendo en cuenta que sólo tienen una greenkeeper. Sí, el verde podría haber sido un poquito mejor, junto con algunas de las tee's, pero cuando estás jugando en sol mirando al lago, te olvidas de estas cosas de menor importancia. Volveré, como he dicho es un paraíso en la tierra.

Los enlaces Cafe en Gairloch Golf Club está abierto a los no residentes y que recomiendo totalmente como un lugar precioso para llamar para té o café y tartas o un almuerzo informal. También está autorizado a vender alcohol de su pequeño bar. En buenos...

Sorry for the pun but I hat suffered some awful coffee/service on my north road trip but this place .next to the beautiful beach and overlooking the lovely little golf course (open to non- golfers ) rescued me. Great service Great Coffee great prices ...

Warm welcome and they even asked us how strong we wanted our cafetiere coffee. Sandwiches were really fresh and good. Best of all they had great wifi (rare in these parts!) Really relaxing place to just sit and be.

Lovely wee golf club and course. Well keep and lovely beside the beach. Not expensive to play the nine holes and the cafe has nice outdoor seating and nice to sit and have lunch after your round of golf. Very helpful staff with golf club hire or in the cafe. Enjoyed my visit very much

this lovely little 9 hole golf course was a big surprise. I had a hole in one which was the highlight of the holiday. my wife was not really impressed . but it was raining so I am not really surprised. the dog seemed to enjoy the pigs ear afterwards.

One might think that this course would be easy as it only has 3 holes where you can use a driver but that's not the case. I really enjoyed it and found it in very nice condition. There is also a very nice clubhouse but surprisingly the bar was not open at 4pm when we finished our round and to get a well deserved beer we had to use a local hotel.

We had nice lunch here, great cakes on offer! Very friendly service... Free wi-fi should you be interested.

This nine hole course makes great use of the space available. It is well maintained and in great condition. The welcome I received was very friendly and helpful and I enjoyed the layout.

Though it is only a nine hole course it has some very intersting holes. Some of the tees are up on the hill and there are quite a few hidden greens. It has wonderful view. Well worth a visit. The club house is also a tearoom/cafe and is great value for money with very friendly staff.

If you want to experience a game of golf with the most fabulous views, you cannot go wrong here. There is also a coffee bar with a fabulous selection of cakes.

We received a very warm welcome and tee'd off at 10.30 after the church across the road had gone in. Glorious little 9 hole course, extremely well kept with many great holes. Had a snack lunch too which was excellent. It was lovely to be able to confirm the artist had used the setting of Gairloch Golf Course as his subject with a little artistic licence. Will certainly play it again.

The free wifi was the first thing to attract us but the chance for a drink and snack in the lovely setting of this small but almost perfect golf course brought us back several times. The ever changing menu may be limited but very good, as is the service. The setting of the golf course around the shore of Loch Gairloch must make this one of the most attractive courses in Scotland.

Stopped off for afternoon tea, we were made very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed tea and scones. Golf course looked to be in great condition with stunning views, sadly due to injury we didn't have our clubs with us - look forward to returning to play in the future.

Played 3 times over the course of the week. Absolutely loved the course. Had heard it had quite a few par 3's, was expecting a wee pitch an putt. How wrong I was. Majority of Par 3's are 160+ yards. Some 200+ yards. Very challenging. The green keepers are always out working, very well maintained. Nice wee practice area to warm up. Loved how they use the side forestry bit for several of the tee offs, great use of the space overall. Gairloch is stunning. I will be back.

What a gem of a cafe this is....one can sit outside overlooking both the golf course and the loch at Gairloch. The cafe of course has indoor seating too. The lunch menu is fairly simple but the food is fresh. Service is extremely friendly and the whole atmosphere is lovely. It is a great pity it does not open for evening meals as the situation is perfect.

Within easy walking distance of The Bay Gairloch hotel. very welcoming towards visitors, decent clubs and trolleys for hire. the 19th Hole also provides very tasty lunches.

I don't play golf, but my brother loves the game so while in Scotland I stopped at a few courses to collect Ball Markers. We arrived late to the course and I ran to the building to see if they were still open, however it was shut. A man was coming out just as I was walking away and asked if he could help. I explained I wanted a ball marker and he was kind enough to open the shop to allow me to buy one! Thanks so very much :)

Good gold club fair, nice people and great views over the links golf course and Gairloch. Very reasonably priced and comfortable seating both inside and out.

Only open from March to October, but is a licenced bar belonging to the golf club which serves a good variety of well prepared lunchtime snacks (hot and cold). There is always a delicious spread of home baking to tempt. In good weather there is outside seating with lovely views across the golf links and sea.

The setting is fabulous with views over the sea. The staff were very friendly and the tea we had was good. They also serve lunches to non members and the cafe is open daily
