Precioso café en el árbol. Solo tiene unas pocas mesas y siempre está ocupado, lo que es una buena señal. El servicio era amable. El menú es pequeño y un poco caro, pero toda la comida es deliciosa. La última vez que estuve aquí me dieron una olla de té por el precio, pero esta vez solo recibió una taza que fue un poco decepcionante para el precio y el tamaño de la taza.

Sabrosos huevos revueltos, pero todo lo servido es ridículamente caro. Todo el lugar es muy frío en el invierno y tiene un aire distinto de humedad. . . Un buen lugar para ir allí no hay otro lugar, pero sombrío y caro...

Hermoso lugar! Y un café maravilloso justo lo que necesitábamos para empezar el día. Estaba lleno, y nos fuimos de excursión de un día, pero nos hubiéramos quedado a desayunar, ya que la comida se veía fantástica.

Maravilloso, elegante café con comida increíble y personal encantador. Teníamos chai sucio (perfecto) , frijoles harissa en masa madre (delicioso) y hummus de alcaparra en masa madre (increíble) y nos llevamos con nosotros un brownie delicioso y un pastel de queso biscoff fabuloso. No podrían ser mejores y no podrían ser más agradables.

Buen café y flapjack. Ambos eran buenos de hecho el café era excelente. El servicio fue amable y eficiente. Estaba ocupado, pero con una corta espera una mesa estaba disponible.

Tuvimos una experiencia maravillosa aquí! La comida era sabrosa y el café era excelente. La ubicación es justo en el centro de Portree, que es muy conveniente para explorar la ciudad. Además de eso, el personal era increíblemente amable y acogedor, haciendo la visita aún más agradable. Lo recomendaría!

Lovely spot for brunch. The waitresses were welcoming and friendly. It’s a small spot so can be difficult to get a table but we managed to get one with some luck. Ordered at the bar and food arrived quickly. The eggs and heritage tomatoes were absolutely delicious. Tasty, fresh and beautifully presented. The chai latte was also fab - although on the small side as the coffees.

Dieses kleine Café in Portree (Isle of Skye) sieht nicht nur gemütlich und modern aus sondern servierte auch einen hervorragenden Kaffee und gute kleinere Frühstücksgeichte dazu. Die Bedienung war freundlich und äusserst speditiv. Bei deinem Aufenthalt in Portree unbedingt ausprobieren, gal ob Coffee to-go oder vor Ort ein Kaffee mit eben oben erwähnten Frühstück geniesst.

The toast with scrambled eggs & nduja was fresh, hot and delicious. The coffee was unbelievably good. Service was quick. Just wish the menu was slightly larger.

A lovely little spot for coffee and cake but when we walked in we were told no dogs allowed. We sat in the bench outside and one of the staff members was very helpful! Be mindful that you can’t take dogs inside if visiting.

A bright, happy stop off with great coffee in stylish mugs. A great mural outside on the opposite wall that’s worth reading and photographing. And big thanks to the girls for having such clean toilets too!

The food might be great, but we were met with, “I can’t take your order until there is an open table, and we don’t allow you to sit outside (on the bench in front of their restaurant). There were two sets of two (four people) waiting for a table to open, and we were told it would be at least an hour before a table would become available. She said it loud enough to be heard by the other patrons and her attitude was dismissive. It was uncomfortable, unnecessary, and rude. My husband, our friends and I are ‘young’ seniors, well dressed, and polite. Her attitude was unacceptable.

Amazing breakfast! We aren’t coffee drinkers, but the food is phenomenal! Everything we ate was so fresh! I highly recommend coming to eat here!

Das Birch Café ist einfach aber stilvoll eingerichtet und benutzt Designer Keramik. Es gibt eine große Auswahl an Kaffee, auch Filterkaffee aus verschiedenen Weltregionen und eine Menge leckerer Kuchen. Cappuccino und Flat White waren hervorragend und das Teilchen aus schwarzer Schokolade zum Dahinschmelzen. Der Service war sehr freundlich.

Top notch coffee and fabulous good quality options for a delicious and healthy breakfast. Friendly and welcoming. Popular so allow time! Cakes looked amazing, we didn’t try them but the birch granola was terrific!

Called in by chance couple of times last week & the coffee was excellent - I genuinely think it's the best coffee I've ever had & will be ordering some online. Definitely recommend as the staff were lovely & the cakes were fab too. Wish we had one near us.

After some site seeing, our last stop Skye Skins, it was time for a soup and sandwich. Google brought this cafe up as it was along our way through Portee. We both had a lovely soup, cafe and a cup of coffee for myself, hot water for my wife as they do not have decaf tea. I would travel that distance again just to get this kind of coffee. My cup of coffee was one of the best cups I have ever been served. Deep rich flavour.

Birch is a great cafe. The atmosphere is good. The interior looks great - Scandi design vibe and beautiful touches. Food wise it has a simple, well curated menu with contemporary food, based around key items such as an excellent flat white, well crafted, authentic sourdough bread, hearty soups and well cooked egg dishes. BUT today both the lentil and artichoke soup were far too sweet, like way of the scale. It is really important for who ever is doing the cooking to check batches of soups for ‘overdoses’ of salt, sugar, chilli etc before they go out. We will come back but maybe not for the soup unless you reassure us the chef has not been to the sweet shop first. Quality control is everything when it comes to hanging on to loyal customers.

Amazing food. A bit pricey. Coffee and food was amazing. Good location as well. thanks for opening early. This was my last meal before leaving Portree. the food was prepared quickly despite being fully occupied.

Had a great lunch here with sensational chanterelles and cream on sourdough toast, tasty orange and almond cake and excellent coffee. Friendly staff and a nice Scandi-inspired interior looking at Donnie Munro’s very welcome murals of Neist Point and Trotternish.

Ga hier heen !! Super goede koffie, chocolademelk, overnight oats en granola. Alle gebakjes zagen er ook heel goed uit. Kortom dikke aanrader.

On our list to visit whilst on Skye. We called in for sandwiches and coffee to take away. Expensive were the sandwiches. More bread than filling. The coffee was good but Lean To Coffee topped Birch in our humble opinion.

Was in Portree for business using an airBnB and needed somewhere for breakfast. What a little gem of a find. Selling specialist coffees and snacks. Really friendly staff with good service. If you are ever in Portree this is well worth a visit.

In a town where getting food and drink is a bit hit and miss ! This is BY FAR the best place to grab a coffee or lunch ! Great food ( loved the soup !) - efficient, friendly service ! An Oasis on Skye !!!

Best yogurt and granola. The granola was very fresh, chunky, and slightly toasted before serving to bring out its flavor. Espresso was great too.

Nice little spot for a cup of tea and cake. A few tables to sit at, clean place, good service, and the carrot cake was yummy. Central location just a step away from the souvenir and gift shops.

Lovey little cafe - amazing coffee and a nice selection of cakes. We had the peanut butter brownie and it was fantastic !

Coffee was good although have certainly had better on Skye ( checkout Caora Dhubh Coffee Company). However, disappointingly we arrived looking forward to brunch on a Sunday morning to be informed that they didn’t have a menu - no explanation was given that they don’t serve food on Sundays. Not what we were hoping for!

Where the cool crowd goes in Skye’s capital, as witnessed by the queues often outside in warmer weather. Good coffee and breakfasts except for Sundays, when they offer sandwiches (my ham, cheese and mustard was terrific).

We enjoyed a delicious (and healthy) lunch and possibly the best coffee we’ve had in Scotland. The decor is simple and lovely, with really stylish branding. The staff were just lovely and really helpful too.
