Good Craic Cafe in Highland

While out for a walk on a rainy day, this cafe hit the spot for a nice breakfast. The food was quick and great, the atmosphere is wonderful, and the staff were so friendly and kind. A great experience!

Light lunch for two - baked potato with cheese and bacon, and cheese & onion toasty, both served with dressed side salad and homemade Cole slaw. Excellent food with prompt and friendly service. Highly recommended.

Wonderful cafe! We were here for breakfast and are still thrilled. Delicious food, top service and a beautiful location right in the pedestrian zone of Inverness. Absolutely recommended!

Went during a busy lunchtime, and the service was excellent. The cafe was welcoming & clean. The staff were friendly & helpful. The soup was in a large bowl, homemade and delicious. Will definitely be going back. Highly recommend.

Lovely cafe, great breakfast arrangements, great service. The only think that I don’t like was: I ordered one pot tea for two for my kids and asked for fruity tea. In the bill I found two times tea for about 3,50 per tea because it was a special tea (they said). 7 pound for one pot of tea was the most expensive tea that I ordered in my life so far. Nobody told me that it was a special tea. I paid almost double.

We ate fish 'n chips here. Freshly made, the fish was great. The coleslaw was also homemade and very tasty.

Brilliant food, we are a family of 4 and all had something different and they were very happy and helpful and have kids high chairs, I had the cheese burger and it was brilliant!

A wonderful little cafe. My wife and I always like to go for lunch when we can. Both the staff and food are wonderful.

Paid £4.25 for a croissant that was dry and unappetising. My coffee was nice tho

Stumbled in here this afternoon very hungry. This wee gem did not disappoint 😍 The staff were so attentive and friendly, the owners sister served us and I went with the lentil and bacon soup recommend by her. I could have ate a bathful! BLT was beautifully made with plenty fresh salad, delicious bread and tasty juicy bacon cooked to perfection. Love this place, we will definitely return!

Delicious freshly cooked food ...breakfast great value for money and a great start to the day! Lunch menu has plenty to choose from A must to try is the chicken tempura that comes with home made coleslaw definitely recommend! Staff are welcoming and efficient and the surroundings are lovely

Stopped off here for, a coffee one afternoon. Pleasant staff and surroundings. Coffee was excellent and reasonably priced. Will make a point of going back again.

I had a Scotish breakfast and an American coffee. They were delicious. The toilets were very clean and the waiters very kind and smiling.

We were taken to this place as we were visiting Inverness from London. Must say we tried the tattie scones and there were amazing!!. Had the full "Scottish" breakfast and was extremely nice. The staff were really friendly and made us feel welcome. If you're in Inverness and you fancy a breakfast, it's definitely worth a visit.

I really wouldn’t recommend this place. I went there today and had a nice mushroom soup and a coffee. When I arrived I asked if they had WiFi, they said yes and I got out my laptop. I’m on the road and had some work to do. After an hour and a quarter the waitress came over and asked me to leave quite rudely. I hadn’t finished my coffee but I started winding down. I’m travelling on my own . I needed to book that nights hotel. The waitress came up again 2 minutes later and asked me to leave saying this is not an internet cafe. I replied I’ve bought food and coffee and I’m going but I’d like to finish my coffee. She was incredibly aggressive. Finally out of frustration I swore. She then grabbed my coffee with her fingers inside the cup and yelled get out. I said I won’t leave until you’ve paid back the money for my coffee. She said I’m calling security. I said fine, call the police. She left. Another woman came up and said ‘what’s the problem?’ I said I felt that I’d been treated really badly. That I was sorry I swore. That I’d leave but I was happy to pay for the soup but I wanted the money for the coffee back. Eventually she returned the money. I left but I said you lot should not be working in hospitality. The waitress shoved me in the back so I left. Afterwards felt really shaky and tearful. Dont go there. I’d been there an hour and a half in total.

Absolute gem of a find. My partner and I only came for drinks and he had a scone to eat, but it was just had a whole homely feel to it, the staff were really friendly and kind people. If we come back to Inverness we’ll come back here.

What a lovely cafe. I had the Mac & cheese with, garlic bread and salad. I loved it? My mum had the tuna and baked potato and my little brother, had bangers and mash, he loved it so much, he wants to go back 😂😂

I've been in loads of cafe in Inverness and this one is by far the best ,the staff are excellent and very welcoming, the food is so good ,I've had the the sandwiches the breakfasts and the amazing mushroom soup infused with garlic, if your in inverness eat here you will definitely not be disappointed

Lovely local cosy cafe, central to Inverness High Street. Good food & coffee selection. I had a cappuccino hence didn't rate food but what I saw going to other tables, looked freshly prepared & well presented.

Dropped off for coffee and it was perfect. To the lovely lady that served us, we hope you get to Ness.

Nice little cafe but £4.75 is a bit steep for a bit of flapjack! Cappuccino (oat) was acceptable.

My wife and I had breakfast here the morning after I had ran the Lochness Marathon, and their breakfast was spot on. I have their full Scottish breakfast the sausages and black pudding were amazing. My wife had the full veggie breakfast she really enjoyed the veg sausage's, they were proper veg sausage's not mock meat. She's only had them one other place and that's on Skye. She's looked for similar but hasn't found them in any other cafe/restaurant. They place was good value for money both breakfast came with tea or coffee and toast. Highly recommended it

On a coach tour from Lancashire we were directed to the cafe by a local. It was excellent . The food was delicious and the staff so polite. Lovely clean friendly atmosphere.

Popped in here on a whim as I didn't actually know it had opened. Had a sandwich and tea, all served in excellent time with a smile. Lovely staff make all the difference.

This was such a nice experience. The owner and her sister were so lovely. The service was excellent. We got there about 15 minutes before they opened and they opened up and let us come in. I got eggs and bacon on sourdough and it tasted so fresh. The sourdough held up and I've never seen any restaurant give such a generous amount of avocado. The flavors were balanced and it was delicious! Prices were very reasonable and I thought they had a good selection/variety. They also have coffee and bakery desserts. I wasn't expecting that a lot of the cafes and restaurants (and stores) are not open until 9am and close early, I think because there is less foot traffic following covid. I'm here in late September 2023. Definitely add this as a spot to try in Inverness. Look up the hours to make sure you can get by when they are open.

Rather luxe feel in this cafe, with delectable breakfast options and the staff were charming and friendly, I believe we were served by Jackie, and she was lovely, even if I was fumbling over my words speaking to her.

Gorgeous cafe with even more gorgeous staff. We had an early dinner with our 4 children 2 of which are awesomely autistic. The youngest was having a rough time and I believe the staff member was called Jan went out of her way to try to help him. She was so welcoming along with the young gentleman server. They made a stressful situation a much more pleasant one! Not to mention the food and cakes were lovely too. Definitely recommend if you’re feeling peckish in Inverness.

Chanced upon this place as was craving some hot soup. Ordered the Cullen skink and fries. Friendly staff, excellent speed, freshly cooked soup with beautifully fried fries. Perhaps if the soup had more fish to potato ratio it would have been more amazing but it was a solid 8.5/10. I don't know about the culture here, but maybe the bread would be have been even more amazing toasted rather than cold. Nevertheless would come back.

Outstanding small cafe. We popped in for a coffee and had a look at the excellent menu and ended up ordering breakfast rolls. The coffee and breakfast rolls were excellent especially the Stornoway Black pudding. I would definitely be back next time I am in Inverness. Very highly recommended.

На левой стене висит большой телевизор, где транслируются хиты ютуб хорошей музыки. Внутри кафе не было доступа к интернету, не знаю это так постоянно или временно. Я заказал печёную картошку с сыром, макароны с сыром, луковые кольца и кофе латте. -Картошка внутри сухая. Была подана с двумя простенькими салатиками. На тарелке видно, грязный палец повара!!! -Макароны с сыром слишком жирные. Были поданы с салатом и чесночными гренками. Радует, что чесночные гренки не были подгоревшими, а только немного с верху. -Луковые кольца были поданы феноменально, но на этом их плюсы закончились. Вкуса никакого, мало того, они все были усеяны маленькими чёрными точками, которые свидетельствуют либо о грязной ёмкости, в которой их готовили, либо о том, что растительное масло давно не чистили. -Кофе латте довольно неплохой. Возможно это даже Lavazza, но я не уточнял. Не смотря на очень приятный персонал, обслуживающий тут, вкус ни одного блюда мне не понравился.

Lovely café in a busy High Street. Plenty of tables, but it's a popular place so at peak periods, you could be waiting for a table. Food isn't cheap but it's not outrageous, so that's comforting. Quality is good and while I didn't avail myself of the cakes, they seemed very popular.

Really lovely food here! And the coffee was excellent 👌 We got toasted sandwiches, 1x tuna melt and 1x BLT. Came with homemade coleslaw (yum), crisps and side salad.

Decided to give it a try as it is fairly new but have found that I cannot recommend the cafe as there a re far nicer places. Wr had to staff tending to out table the first was an absolute delight but the other was rather rude slammed down the menus and got angry when we asked her to explain something that was said on the menu. The atmosphere was rather nice however, many tables and not a bad design of the over all cafe. The location is also very convenient as it is right on the high street.

Only had pot of tea but friend had mushroom and garlic soup which was excellent. Such a friendly place. We felt welcome.

Lovely friendly atmosphere in a central location. The food was well presented with locally sourced ingredients and very tasty to boot! Probably the best BLT I've had. I will be back.
