Very interesting shop. Their soaps are lovely and well organised (the gorse scent is incredible!), and they have some hampers/sets. There is a homewares section which had a selection of local-made goods, but also lots of mass-produced stuff which wasn't that great to see. They also had a small room of local whiskies and gins, which was so cool, but most of the smaller sizes had sold through so I didn't get anything. Didn't try the cafe or look at the menu, but there were many people sat down and happy chatter. Across the car park is a castle ruin, it was fenced off when we visited (safety risk), but if it reopens it looks like a very cool spot to wander and perhaps picnic outside before heading further north.

We found the spot by searching for breakfast then filtering by highest review. The cafe did not disappoint. . We both ordered the avocado toast; me with salmon, she with a poached egg. I got a bonus scone with clotted cream. We picked a table and our food arrived surprisingly quickly. . Everything was fresh and delicious. The scone was sturdy enough yet still tender. The salmon was lightly smoked and wonderfully fatty. The poached egg was reported to be perfect, with a done white but runny yoke. My slight complaint would be that the toast didn't seem toasted at all. I will admit that my preference is for a bit of a crunch on my toast. . Our coffees were both excellent. . Overall, a quality experience.

During our break, we went to the cafe for our complimentary hot drink, which were lovely and beautifully presented. We decided to have some lunch and cakes, all of which tasted amazing. After our break we went back to the workshop to package our soaps, again, Teeny was incredibly helpful and she took the time to help my daughter with wrapping her soaps. I would 100% recommend this workshop and if you are fortunate to have Teeny as your host (although I'm sure all the staff who do the workshops are lovely) then you are in for a lovely experience. I had the falafel wrap and a drink. The service was great the staff were very friendly. Unfortunately for me the falafel wrap was lacking a lot of flavour and dry, it could use a bit more in terms of spices and sauce, maybe both tahini and a hummus together, the fresh and pickled vegetables were good. Might be helpful in the future to ask for extra sauce.
