We came twice on our short trip nearby- on the Monday it was the only place open that allowed dogs, and on the Tuesday because we liked it so much the day before! We had breakfast both days and were pleased they offered gluten free options! A great variety of gluten free and vegan cakes on offer too. The coffee was lovely and was what drew us back the next day. It was clearly popular as all tables were full both times! Thanks again and if we are ever in this area we would come back :)

In short- No atmosphere/ basic tasteless food/ rude owner. The owner is extremely rude and came to our table to basically scold us for not being impressed by the terribly tasteless and dry sandwich we had been served. It was an extremely uncomfortable atmosphere and you can tell the staff are frightened of the owner. No background music/radio playing for a bit of ambience. It’s a shame really as the high street is dying and this looked to be one of the very few decent places to go. I guess they survive on passing trade, however we do go this way regularly for long weekends and will not be passing through here again. Absolute vibe killer and the food is to be honest extremely basic and tasteless. The coffee was okay. Bread was dry and the cheese slice looked plastic. Garnish and everything overall was lacking. Salad definitely unwashed and out of a bag. Just no effort and not worth the money at all. I’ve attached a pic of my sandwich then the “kids” sandwich. Apparently the owner was insulted as it’s “ good quality bread” . No other comments regarding everything else. Just that she stands by this bread! Lol wouldn’t recommend. (I will say there were only 3 tables in at the time and no one returned to the table to ask if the food was okay. The owner really doesn’t like feedback and I asked her not to be so rude and upset as everyone doesn’t have the same opinion and that’s fine. The only answer she had was a shriek to say “get that dog off the table! when she noticed there was a puppy in a small bag beside my baby who had his little paws on the edge of the table.) I have been to many places were the food wasn’t great but the owners and staff were lovely and that makes such a difference and always makes you go back. It’s a shame when the owner has completely the wrong attitude for this kind of business and in turn leads to staff having the same manner when dealing with customers.

Looked like they hadn't been open long as it looked as if there were some repairs going on. We were there just before lunch and got a table easily, but after a wee while it was full. The coffee was nice and I enjoyed a gluten free bacon sandwich. Staff were nice and friendly.

Happy to find somewhere open for food and enthused to see GF cake options...however nearly died when the bill of over £18 came for 2 x takeaway coffees and two 'filled roll' things. GF bread available which was excellent but not what we'd call accessible in terms of cost. Stung for having a health condition. Lovely interior and staff kind but really...cost a bit bonkers.

We went here twice for lunch it was that good The sandwiches were made to order and the second time we had a basket of chips which were equally delicious. The service was second to none If you are in the area I would highly recommend you try it

Do not visit if you want a quick snack. There's nothing fast about the service. Glacial is closer to the mark. Food is good, but you have probably eaten off an arm before it arrives. Having visited several times in the last year this was not an isolated incident today.

Amazing food (I had the Honey mustard chicken salad, husband had bacon brie & cranberry panini). Excellent value, beautiful surroundings and mega friendly helpful staff. I'm gluten intolerant and they were very helpful with choices.

My husband and I ate lunch here recently while on vacation. We were seated quickly and placed our order T the counter. Our food came quickly and the soup, sandwiches & fries/chips were delicious. Very yummy and we both like our toasties. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about their desserts. The cream scone was tasteless and packy. The Victoria sponge cake was forgettable and a tad dry. I give them 3 stars but can’t recommend the pastries behind the counter.

A tasty Scottish Breakfast and it was a very popular spot too! They were rushed off their feet, poor things, but told us in advance it would be a little while for food and were very friendly and apologetic and we were very happy to wait. I would definitely return as it was nice.

Personale molto gentile e disponibile, consigliato!

We stumbled across the The Old Deli having arrived in Fort William after walking the West Highland Way. We were lucky to get a table as it was otherwise fully booked and we saw others get turned away. The Old Deli is a coffee shop that serves food in the evening and has a relaxed, stylish and welcoming vibe. They do not have an alcohol licence but are happy for byob which worked perfectly for us! The food was delicious - we shared a bruschetta, then had quinoa cakes/ monkfish scampi for mains - these were crispy in delicious batter. Followed by one of the best lemon tarts ever! We loved the Old Deli so much we returned for coffee the next day and of course found a huge selection of teas/milk alternatives. We were only disappointed we didn’t get to try the cakes. A lovey gem in Fort William (and they allow dogs!).

Very good food and typical Scottish decor. Service was very attentive and friendly. The chef knows his craft. The steak, for the non-fish eater, was a treat.

We went for takeaway before getting ferry to Stornoway. Ordered an egg roll and bacon and egg roll. On opening when we got to our car we could not believe how poor they looked. Toasted stake rolls, overdone fried eggs and overdone bacon. Will not go back to this cafe again!

Popped in here recently on a trip through Wick to Dunnet Head - Got a cheese & tuna toastie and a latte which were both excellent. Owners were really friendly and the price reasonable considering the location - Have a feeling they could charge 2/3 times the price - being on the NC 500 - but choose not to. Will certainly return.

Visited today and ordered 2 drinks and 2 steak pie dinners. Service was fine but we could not eat the food. The meat was inedible. We couldn't cut it never mind chew it. The young waiter returned it to the kitchen, returned to apologise and agrred with us. Then he said there will be no charge... ....... really. Why would we pay when we had no food. Left and went elsewhere.
