We had lunch during a weekday but the service we got is really poor for no reason. Both waitress and the person at the till were rude. There must be some other kind restaurant with good food you can go in this city.

Absolutely delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed the bangers ‘n mash, fish and chips and the chef’s macaroni. Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Perfect place to sit out of the rain this afternoon, relax, eat and enjoy a couple of drinks.

Delicious food, quick and attentive service all evening. Live music on a Saturday night was also a lovely surprise. Highly recommend for a relaxed evening with tasty food. We had fish and chips, and a seabass with risotto, Feta and chorizo. Fish was very fresh and my husband reports it's one of the best fish and chips he's had!

Great restaurant - very close to Premiere inn central Inverness. I had battered Haddock chips and peas with Home made tartar sauce it was delicious ...Haddock cooked to perfection . The portion size would keep the heartiest appetite satisfied !!! Reasonably priced with good choice of wines ...Excellent

My friend and I recently dined at Encore, and unfortunately, it turned out to be a very disappointing experience. The service was incredibly slow—we waited almost an hour just for our main course. Later that night, my friend became seriously ill, experiencing severe vomiting, and developed a fever the following day. A doctor confirmed they had acute gastroenteritis, likely from mussels that were not fresh and may have been dead before cooking. The combination of poor service and unsafe food raised serious concerns about this restaurant’s standards.

It was my second visit, and as I expected it was a great experience. The staff was attentive even on a very busy night. They had live music and a great atmosphere. The menu has a great variety of quality dishes, and the ones I had so far were very fresh and tasty. They offer a variety of cocktails and a good selection of wines. I highly recommend a visit for anyone that likes a relaxing dinner. Booking in advance is recommended.

It was my first night and dinner in Inverness and it could not have been better. The food was great and the service was very kind. The restaurant was nicely decorated for Halloween and had fun atmosphere.

I recommend it more for a bar, the food is only good, as it should taste but nothing spectacular, the service excellent and the atmosphere too, I loved the live music, what I liked least was the sticky toffee, the ice cream was very bad and the Pound cake did not feel fresh.

Chinese people don’t lie to Chinese people. The main dish of mussels is super delicious and the portion is huge!

We initially went to the restaurant on the other side of the road, but it was fully booked. Fortunately, Encore wasn’t as crowded that day. The quality of the dishes was outstanding! The staff is also really nice. And bathrooms and kitchen are super clean :)

Fantastic food, great piper music and atmosphere!

Was disappointed overall. Popped in on Sunday night and told no table available for about half an hour plus. No worries. We could start at the bar with drinks and order food. A table never came as my six foot husband had to stand to eat his steak, as the stools are very low. My mussels were a very large serve but the crusty bread listed as part of the meal was a tiny serve of sliced, soft gf bread the portion size of a dinner roll...creamy sauce left behind with nothing to soak it up with. The music/piano was good but way too loud for the size of the room, and right behind us at the bar with at least two large speakers so we couldn't hear each other or the staff. Meanwhile two other couples were seated when they were told tables werent available until after the time we were given. The Cocktail was nice but we didnt bother standing at the bar for dessert and won't return unfortunately. Wouldnt recommend based on our experience

You can get good Scottish food here! Haggis, burgers & co. Good & fast service.

Encore is not to be missed when visiting Inverness. Sit at the bar with Eva & Storm. They are extremely knowledgeable with their Food & Beverage menus and are so friendly and fun to chat with.

This is a combination restaurant and bar. My friend and I had a little trouble finding a restaurant on Sunday afternoon and couldn't find anywhere that was available or open. I called this restaurant with the intention of giving it a try. Unexpectedly, there was still room available and a window seat was reserved for us. For those who have never tried Scottish food, this is a hidden gem worth a try. The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and comfortable, and the table is decorated with a few flowers, which is unique and elegant. Next is our experience with several dishes we ordered: First up is tomato soup, a great soup to warm up on a cold Scottish winter day. The delicious soup base has a moderate spiciness, and the slight salty aroma will not irritate the throat, but will make people feel warm from the inside out. Haggis Bon Bons is indeed a representative dish of Scotland. The crispy outer shell is wrapped in a round and lovely filling, with a delicate texture and no fishy smell. It is like chopped mushrooms that melt in your mouth, with a unique flavor. The accompanying sauce adds a lot of color to this dish - the white sauce has a light cream aroma, while the dark sauce is a bit like the cream sauce of Swedish meatballs, but with a hint of natural flavor of truffle. The flavor is extremely unique and impressive. The combination of the sauce and Haggis Bon Bons is perfect, making this dish unique. However, the last main dish, steak pie, was slightly inferior. The overall taste is heavy, and the red wine taste is very strong, but as you eat, the salty taste gradually increases. The flavor of the red wine and the salty taste conflict with each other, resulting in a slightly single and thick taste, which even requires frequent drinking of water to relieve it. Therefore, I personally do not recommend this dish. Overall, with the exception of steak pie, the Scottish dishes in this restaurant are well worth a try.

Green-mouthed clams are the best I have eaten in countless restaurants. I am a seafood lover, so I often order this dish out. The green-lipped mussels themselves are of very high quality and there is nothing foreign about them. This sauce is extremely delicious. In addition to the aroma and texture of cream, there is also a different aroma brought by some chopped spices, which makes people's mouth unconsciously ignore the greasiness of the cream. I can't help but pee these shells. Haggis is indeed a famous Scottish dish. A thin layer of crispy shell makes the whole ball round and cute. The sauce that comes with it reminds me of the same cream sauce used for Swedish meatballs, but with more of the natural flavor of truffle. The crispy shell of the small balls is not greasy like other fried foods, and the filling inside does not taste fishy like meat. The texture and appearance are more like chopped mushrooms. But I’m sure I’ve never tasted this taste, so there’s nothing to compare it to. All I can say is that the combination of sauce, white mousse and balls makes this famous dish! For the cocktail, I chose the fruity Bullet. I chose this because I like fruity cocktails and bourbon (I am a fan of Tohru Amuro). When we first started drinking it, the fruit felt very fresh and sweet, but the obvious alcohol put us off. Unexpectedly, the more we drank, the better the two blended together. Especially after eating a lot of salty cream sauce, this kind of stimulating sweet wine made us unable to stop.

The mussels are tremendous. A rich sauce. I had the steak pie and am still longing for another bite. We didn’t have reservations but since it was 4:00 they could take us. Had a fine flight - Nessie’s Favorite.

We showed up without a reservation, still got a spot at the bar. The food was great, try the pie if you can! Only problem was that they seem to have been understaffed, we saw our food sitting there for 5 minutes before it got brought to us. The veggies were cold by then. They do have live music as well, good singer but his choice of music dampened the mood. Too many „ballad“ type of songs, not really great to create a vibe.

A place with a lot of charm, between a pub and a restaurant. The menu is very satisfying and what we ate was very good. The dishes were plentiful and presented with great care. We could say that everything is very chic!

Very good place with live performances every day. We ordered a salmon starter and fish and chips mains and the spectacular meat pie. For dessert we ordered the lemon tart and it was very good, as were the cocktails that I recommend ordering. The service was very good, especially the waiter who served us.

We went to dinner with our guide and we had a very good dinner, abundant and tasty dishes, we tried cod, salmon and sea bass, and a very delicious dessert that I don't remember the name (see photo). On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays they have live music. The service is very friendly and friendly. I recommend booking as it fills up after 6pm.

Chef’s gravy with the homemade steak pie was out of this world. Highly recommended. Steak on ciabatta was also top notch.

I was there and everything was great! I had a few extra wishes for my meal and it all worked out perfectly. The food was quick to arrive and tasted very good. The waiters could have been around once or twice more but it was still a good service. I would go again but you definitely need to reserve a table.

Simply an amazing dinner in Inverness! The restaurant is very nice and characteristic, with live music and a piano lounge during weekends. The staff was super nice and friendly, and the food was simply amazing. We had the haggis bon bon, the steak and the bass man. All the dishes were cooked perfectly and were delicious. A must visit place if you are in Inverness!

Excellent restaurant. The haggis starter was good. The mussels were really delicious and the dessert was typically Scottish. The music was good and the waiter was full of energy. We went there without booking, and we had a 30 minute wait at 7:30 p.m.

Thanks to Poppy for her smile and good humor. Simple but effective cuisine. Schedule respected, we are not kicked out at 8:30 p.m.

Te only reason to eat was that I was starving…. 🥺

I was told the mussels were huge, hugest. Also that I would be very full after. Well the biggest ones were small to average by Canadian standards, smallest ones would never even get served in a restaurant. Portion size wise: this would be classified as an appetizer size in Canada. Double the portion I received would cost no more than 15£ in Canada and would come with salad and fries. So of course I'm still STARVING but I paid 20£ (how much all you can eat mussels cost) and not willing to spend more. I chose some place casual so I could get full. I don't recommend the mussels if you're from Canada you will want to cry like me.

Great place to eat or drink. We were served by Kieran who was incredibly friendly and made the place feel like a local. He made a delicious Margherita for my friend, even taking the trouble to ask how spicy she wanted it.

The food was ok, although not very healthy with lots of fat (fish and chips) and not much vegetables. The salad was not very fresh. My husband took the steak pie and the accompanying vegetables were too raw. The meat was not really special.

All staff in encore are amazing, there is always a good atmosphere due to their fantastic service. Kieran was taking care of most of my orders at the bar and he is a great guy, had some good laughs and he knows how to pour a great pint!

Incredible find just around the corner from our hotel in Inverness. Stop in for a beer or a pint at the bar, or a full course dinner, they do it all very well. I had the roasted red pepper stew along with a beetroot and avocado salad. My husband had a house burger with cheese, tomato and pesto, served with homemade fries. I only wish I had taken photos as the presentation was beautiful. Special note: Great price on the Veuve Clicquot!

It was busy, but despite this we were still seated within a reasonable amount of time 10is minutes. The servers were friendly, the live music was amazing. My fiance and I enjoyed our meals.

We’re visiting from New Zealand, we were lucky to get a table at this restaurant on a busy Sunday night. The food was delicious, service exceptional. Our waiter, Kieran looked after us exceedingly well, was interesting to talk to and even remembered our names at the end of the evening. Five stars all round.

As others have mentioned, food is very good. We also ordered the steak pie and were not disappointed, even though it now costs £18.95. The starters were also delicious.

A robust and distinctly Scottish restaurant with vague Jacobite theming, appropriate for the far, wild north of Inverness. They have a tradition of sumptuous specials here, such as the Father's Day special offered while I was here. The prices can be a bit steep but nothing absurd, and the rich food is absolutely worth the money paid. Note that the pepper stew is vegetarian: in my foolishness, I did not read closely enough and assumed it would have meat in it. Still, whether you are a veggie eater or a pure carnivore, there will be options for you, and the atmosphere here exudes the kind of stylish upscale rusticity that I find utterly charming in UK restaurants. Come in from the rain-- it's usually raining, as this is Scotland after all-- and dine in this elegantly cozy place.

The burger, chips (fries) and coleslaw was great. Spicy burger, well made chips and the coleslaw was excellent. I was well met entering the front door.

Nice pub resto in Inverness. A bit dark inside. Our waitress wasn't very friendly and didn't seem to enjoy her job. By the way, we did see another waitress at the other table who was very friendly. Menu offers some nice choices. We really liked our starters. Main courses were good, mine was very good. My partner's dish lacked flavour. Overall a good experience.

Headed in for light dinner… the beetroot cured salmon lured me in here and did not disappoint. It was delightful! Kieran, who served me, was amazing and I left with a smile on my face. Top stuff!
