Basilâs Harbour CafĂ© in Nairn is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed by friendly staff who create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The cafĂ© is spotless, with a cosy feel that immediately makes you want to settle in and relax. The food here is truly outstanding â everything is homemade using the highest quality ingredients. Their Cullen Skink soup is a real standout: rich, creamy, and packed with flavour, itâs easily one of the best Iâve ever tasted. The rest of the menu is equally impressive, offering hearty, delicious dishes that showcase great care and skill in the kitchen. Basilâs is also wonderfully dog-friendly, making it the perfect stop whether youâre out for a walk or enjoying a day by the harbour. After your meal, donât miss the Stew & Drewâs ice cream available for takeaway â itâs the perfect treat to enjoy while strolling along the waterfront. And for coffee lovers, their brew is fantastic: smooth, rich, and perfectly made. Whether youâre after a relaxed lunch, a quick coffee, or a tasty takeaway treat, Basilâs Harbour CafĂ© is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

This used to be a great wee place. It's sadly gone downhill. Told we had to wait, which was no issue, but when we got to our table, we had to another 10mins, only to be told they were only taking drinks orders. Ordered a coffee and a soft drink, and it arrived and was drunk before the food order was taken 15mins later!! It's tasty food, but the portions are small, and it's expensive for what you get. My hubby stood at the till for 10mins waiting to pay. Staff were coming and going, and not one apologised for the delay. It used to have a lovely atmosphere with the staff being chatty and helpful. All that is gone, and we are sad to say that we won't return in a hurry. Such a shame.

All i can say is this is the best place to eat in Nairn and probably in the surrounding area. Food is awesome, the menu has a good mix of food advertised and as I've eaten there so many times I have tried just about everything at one time or other and i have never been disappointed. If I could recommend one plate that is my favourite, it is chicken fajitas, they are awesome (I always ask for an extra wrap as you get a lot of fajitas). Every pakte you get served tastes great, and there is plenty of food no matter what you try. Staff go over and above to ensure you have a pleasant stay and serve you quickly and ensure all isnok with you food and ask if you need anything whilst you are there. As I said previously, it's the best place to eat in Nairn.

We had a lovely sit in the garden while enjoying our coffee, hot chocolate and cake. The owner was lovely and turned out to be Belgian (we are Dutch), so we had a nice chat. If we're ever in the area again we will surely drop in again!

I believe I was in whatâs called âmiddle shopâ and I feel I needed to leave this review based on a member of your staff. Caroline is a huge credit to your team she was fully in control of a busy shop, she appeared to be dealing with an issue regarding lights while still interacting with every customer and very polite and calm during a very busy spell!! An excellent addition to the company!! Food was great, love the choices for Easter will be back

We stayed at this hotel for a week. From the outside, it looks very nice. Upon closer inspection, it's quite dated. Unfortunately, the staff wasn't very motivated to give us a pleasant stay. Buses arrived daily for one night, and it felt like they were more attentive to these guests.

Ordered dinner at the cafe garden, one glass of wine, one bottle of beer, and 2 lasagna dinners. We waited over half an hour and eventually had to go and ask as to where our order was, guess what they forgot!.... It then appeared with one utensil, a fork! I had to ask for knives and napkins. The mince of of dubious quality. We were told the salad was coming, so just started a little of the lasagna as we were hungry, to find it luke warm đĄ the portion size was very meager and when the salad arrived, we were both both presented with a plate of lettuce leaves, just theown on a plate with what seemed like a splash of vinegar! We paid ÂŁ48 for what could only be described as a bad '70s school dinner! Very disappointed given the beautiful, tranquil location. We expected vastly better quality and portion size for our money. We felt like we were robbeda We would most certainly not recommend this place for food.
