Mack's Cocktail bar & grill in Highland

My mam and I came here for a meal before Christmas and we both had the chicken fillets with chips and they were delicious. The garlic Mayo dip was lovely too. Service was good too. Will be returning. Thank you

Went to this restuarant and had a fabulous meal. Plenty of variety on the menu and was very reasonable. Big portions and best sticky toffee pudding i have ever tasted. The lady who served us was very friendly and helpful. Felt very safe all sanitizing in place. Wouldn't hesitate to go back again highly recommended.

On an evening in Nairn where nowhere can serve food after 6pm, trying to get an early evening meal proved difficult - until we found Mack’s. We were warmly welcomed, all of the relevant Covid procedures were in place, and the food was really first class. Veggie burger and Fish n chips both highly recommended!

5* service, staff very friendly & courteous. Food was also obviously home made & big platefuls. Definitely recommend this place

Such lovely food, I had the lasagne for my main meal and it was superb. I had The sticky toffee pudding for dessert and it was to die for and such big portions which I love. The young waitress we had was great, very chatty and kept checking on us to see if we needed anything. The hand sanitizer dispensers are well placed. Will be back soon for another great meal.

We popped in for drinks on a Sunday evening and the young lady who served us was excellent. Very pleasant & efficient and properly masked the whole time we were there. So we decided to go back for a meal. The food was unimpressive (steak pie was pretty much a pastry round with meat in between, and the chicken goujons were tasteless and boring) but the waitress was the issue. Her mask was on, off, on again, off again, hanging from one ear. Really not acceptable in these time’s.

Came in for food at Macks with one of my friends and the food was delicious. I had the potato skins and then the steak pie. (honestly one of the best I’ve had) The young waitress with the dark hair could not do more for us. She was super polite and kept checking to see if we were okay and if we needed drinks topped up. Very good customer service, Will definitely be back to sample more food and some cocktails as I never got to try any as I was the designated driver but they looked amazing.

Mediocre food at best. Cocktails were nice enough. Bar server/waitress wearing her mask hanging off her ear when serving (after I could hear her coughing behind the bar) was just unacceptable.

We visited here for the first time tonight myself and my husband. The older waitress was very polite nothing was too much for her. The younger waitress however was very blunt and rude I would not recommend her service at all. The owner should be having some firm customer service words with her. The food was lovely and delicious and the older waitress kept checking everything was ok. The hand sanitizer around is very good especially during this COVID. After seeing the comment below I can only say maybe some customers should speak with the waitress as after hearing her have a slight cough you can hear the poor lady has asthma and is still choosing to wear a mask when she can. The younger waitress slightly ruined it for us but the older waitress and the food will get us to go back

We entered Mack's bar and grill and we shown seating and welcomed straight away, the waitress was very helpful in recommending the favourites on the menu.. I had the macaroni cheese which was lovely ( I'm fussy), and my partner also had the same , she had a child's portion due to not being very hungry but was still more than enough to be a adults portion !. The waitress was attentive in making sure everything was ok with our meal and asked if we needed anything...also at the end of the meal we were informed that there is a promotion on just now in which where you get a free pudding with a main meal!!, I had a chocolate brownie and ice cream which was amazing...overall.. drinks, main courses and a pudding for less than £25, excellent money for value, great service and great food... Will definitely be back!

Cocktails very nice and special offers on some cocktails so this was good for the start of our night out. The food lacked a lot of taste it was a Christmas dinner and just didn’t really have much taste to it! The lady serving was run off her feet and I felt awful having to ask her for another round of drinks but surely I shouldn’t have to ask when as soon as your drinks are finished or running out surely this should be the first to ask your customers if they would like more! There appeared to be no heating on and so we were all very cold especially my pregnant friend she had to keep putting her jacket on!

Great food, excellent customer service and good atmosphere. Could not fault the food. Cocktails were tasty and enjoyed trying a variety of different ones. Would recommend coming here.

Having been few time's on holiday in Nairn I've never tried Mack's place. Always walked or driven past as it didn't stand out..... DOES NOW THOUGH.Was checking on TripAdvisor and this place came up.Currently sitting chilling with TOP CLASS cocktail. Great place inside.Lovely decor.Friendly staff. Superb cocktail/price.Even booked a table for food for tomorrow night Fajita Thursday. Will recommend and return.

We visited Macks Coctail bar by chance & popped in to have a drink. The restaurant was very busy with diners but we able to sit at the bar & have drinks. A good selection of lagers & cocktails all reasonably priced. We booked a table for the next night & we had a fantastic meal at very reasonable price. The cheesecake was to die for, possibly the best i have tasted. The frozen Raspberry Daiquiri was Carole's favourite cocktail. A very pleasant dining experience so much so we ate there on three occasions. All of our food was outstanding, compliments to the chef & the waiting staff who were all very attentive. Will definitely be back when we visit Nairn.

Looks a bit shabby from outside, but fear not - step inside for this delight :-) Great food and drinks - Cocktails very good - didn’t taste cheap - best Margarita I’ve had around these parts. Friendly environment, staff and service. All in all a thumbs up from us :-)

We drove 30 mins to get there and it was worth the drive and the wait. The food was excellent , the service although a little slow simply because the girl was on her own was very good.

Dinner with my family while visiting Nairn and a return visit to Mack's. As good as the last time. Friday night they offer steak with a drink included a great deal but I would have paid the normal price for the Aberdeen Angus steak it was so good, cooked to perfection and delicious, one of the best I have had. Lovely atmosphere, felt very welcome will definitely return. Good assortment of cocktails could not fault it.

Found this restaurant in passing and were pleasantly surprised. Great service and price was surprisingly inexpensive for two.

Me and my partner had a festive dinner here In December and I have to say the young waitress with the blonde hair was very friendly and made us feel welcome from stepping foot in the door to us paying the bill which was a very reasonable price for what we had eaten and drank. The turkey was delicious and a really good plate full. The pavlova for pudding was incredible. Would highly recommend Macks to anyone. The young waitress is an asset to the Macks team. I will certainly be back.

We visited here with friends when arriving there was only the older waitress around we were a big table. We pre ordered but as it was only the older waitress serving us some of our food came out to us warm as the waitress only had one pair of hands and a big table to serve. The younger waitress with blonde hair just stood about not willing to help looked like she didn’t want to be there at all. The older waitress was so apologetic and tried to go as fast as she could. The food was very good even if it was slightly cold. The older waitress was very friendly and made sure everything was ok with our table. The younger waitress slightly ruined it for us by standing about not bothering with our table and making us feel like we weren’t wanted there. We would definitely go back thanks to the older waitress though as she was lovely and the food was lovely too.

Festive lunch at Macks yesterday. Delicious meal. Spoilt by being rather chilly in the premises. Good waitress service. Not rushed out at 3pm when the restaurant closed as we had drinks to finish.

I visited here on 30th September, on walking in i was greeted by a very lovely older waitress (Not sure on a name as I didn’t quite catch her name). I was seated just near the kitchen door near a very rude table of people that complained a lot and was very rude to the waitress. I can only say very well done on the way she conducted herself whilst they were being highly rude to her. I can only say this rude table made my experience at the start not very nice.The food was lovely here although it was rather rude the older chef looking through the kitchen door at me. The customer service I received from this lovely lady made my visit to this lovely restaurant much better by the end of my visit. She was very helpful with suggestions of drinks and food. I will highly recommend and definitely be returning.

We visited here for a birthday dinner on September 30th. When we arrived the restaurant was completely empty. The older female waitress ignored us when we walked in and we had to approach her to ask for a table. When we asked we seemed to be somewhat of a hinderance to her. When she came over to take our order she again made us feel unwelcome and as it seemed as if she did not want to be there and she was very rude and abrupt. When our starters came out she dumped them down on the table instead of serving them to whoever had ordered them leaving us to move all the plates to the correct person ourselves. The starters which did come were wrong and when we called her over to rectify it she denied anything was wrong and said it was in fact what we ordered (which is wasn’t). She then asked “what do you want me to do about it like” which we found very rude and made us feel like we were in the wrong. When we told her we didn’t appreciate being spoken to the way she did she stormed off. At this point we told her to cancel our mains and left. I would not return to Macks as this was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had.

My wife and I ate here at lunchtime today. Our waitress was not friendly. I could not call her unfriendly - she just seemed hacked off. Ok perhaps she and other staff were a bit concerned about water dripping in through the roof but really that was no reason to appear disinterested in her customers. We ordered the days special of fish and chips, The price was special at only £6.95 but there it ended. A greasy (albeit good sized) fish sat atop a helping of soggy chips and peas. Not very appetising. The batter was not crisp and overall this was not an experience we would recommend or repeat.

Came here whilst visiting Nairn, the food was satisfactory, I enjoyed a nice starter and sirloin steak . However the customer service is awful, an older member of staff ignored us multiple times - we had to keep approaching her! After clearing our main courses she disappeared once again and we left shortly after that. Wouldn't recommend.

Steak was chewey and full of fat. For almost £20 for sirloin steak you'd expect it to be a lot better. The quality of that steak was awful. The fahitaz had hardly any chicken. The chicken was chewey in places. Nice deserts and nice people but it could be a lot better quality for the price.

Popped in Thursday evening for a meal and luckily it wasn’t too busy I had the fatijas which were lovely and my husband had kebabs which looked great and tasted great will definitely be back for sure xx

Not our first visit to Macks but again delighted with food and friendly service.. The no nonsence reasonably priced food never fails to please.

Went for lunch with my sister and dad. Very good sized portions and everything was piping hot. Service was quick and friendly. Thank you for doing as requested no salad dressing or coleslaw #slimmingworld. Will certainly recommend

Shared a meal here with family and friends aged from 4 to 75. This lovely restaurant suited us all. Large menu to cover all tastes including the children. Lovely efficient staff. Meals were piping hot and well presented. Not the best outlook as it faces the busy road but it didn't detract us from the quality of the food and service.

The service was good at the start but at the end they cleared our plates and then just disappeared and we were left sitting there for more 20 min before we decided to leave. Too bad because the food and drinks were good.

The service was good, food delicious (quite large portions). We were not rushed and were able to sit and chat following our meal. It's not the poshest of restaurants, but is clean and got a style of its own.

Me and my wife had a great meal here while visiting Nairn it was better than I expected. I had garlic mushrooms then the Mack burger great helpings. The wife had the moray salad which consisted of salad a massive helping prawn mayonnaise and slices of salmon and she was stuff she also had a few cocktails which she loved. We would definitely go back next time we are in Nairn

This was my first time in Mack's and I will be back. The food was excellent, I highly recommend the Black and Blue Burger. I was part of a party of 5 and we all had different starters, mains and deserts, all of which were cooked and presented well. We all enjoyed our food. The service, on the other hand, needs work. The waitress reached in front of me several times, so much so she pushed me out of the way. She was also chewing gum, which I could hear right in my ear as she reached over me. My daughter wanted to order more drinks so went to the bar, she was shoo'd away and told to sit down, they would come over and take the order, which they did 20 minutes later. I know that staff can be busy but the place wasn't even half full then. This might sound like a moan, it isn't, it's an observation and perhaps a recommendation for staff refresher training. It didn't spoil our night an we will go back again as the food was superb

Went here for lunch today.lovely welcome from charming waitress.The food was really nice. We had the cockaleekie soup and the roast beef. Great helpings too.great atmosphere and lovely decor .

We came here a few months ago for lunch. As there was a few of us and some of us were not arriving at exactly the same time, there had to be some re-arranging of the tables. I have absolutely no problem with the food but I did have an issue with the service. The older waitress was downright rude. We were clearly an inconvenience when the tables had to be arranged - but this was not our fault - and she humphed about it in front of us. The restaurant at this point was not heaving. I even had to re-ask again about our drinks order because we had come in later. No apologies or anything and full of attitude, like a stroppy teenager. I didn't say anything at the time as we were all having a pleasant time despite this issue and the food I have to say was great. I also think it is strange to have to review at the till what you have had if you are paying separately. Surely there would have been a receipt of some description detailing all of the order. Only because of this issue, would I probably be reluctant to go back. You need to have a word with her. The date was October 12th.

We nipped in here for pre-dinner drinks before moving onto a local hotel. We were delighted with the options of cocktails and delighted to pay only £17 for a pitcher which allowed us to sit undisturbed for a couple of hours due to the timing....

The food is absolutely brilliant, great atmosphere. We went with family and had a great time Try the burgers 😉

Don't be put off by the exterior. Once inside the vibe of the place is welcoming and chilled. The food was delicious and I ate there twice during my weeks holiday. My waitress Kate was very attentive and efficient and it's 10 min walk from Invernairne

Since I first wrote a review saying how good Macks was, have visited another 4 times. Have tried several different things on the menu and it's always been brilliant. Service is always very good. Favourite place to go in Nairn.

Visited our first night in Nairn. Sort of a late lunch early dinner. Besides us there were only two other people in the place. It does say "Cocktail Bar" in the name so maybe that's why they have a terrible selection of beer. What we ordered was undrinkable and we left most of the glass. Husband thought the fajita's were good. I had mushroom stroganoff which was just okay.

Wir waren zum Burger essen hier und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Die Vorspeise (frittierter Haggis) war köstlich und kam innerhalb von Minuten. Die Burger anschließend waren nicht nur groß, sondern auch mit köstlichem Fleisch gemacht. Es hatte einen mega Eigengeschmack! So gutes Fleisch haben wir selten gegessen.Auch der Nachtisch (Cheesecake) schmeckte kein bisschen zu süß, sondern genau richtig. Wir hätten uns reinlegen können... dazu netter Service und ein angenehmes Ambiente. Echt klasse. Auch die Auswahl der Speisen war mehr als ausreichend... da ist für jeden etwas dabei.

A group of about 30 of us had preordered meals last night. Averaging about £30-£50 per couple, lots left tips too to then have one person charged £1.50 for his Coleslaw as apparently it was an "extra" was too petty for words. Two of us asked for just steaks and salad. To once again, within a month, get served Steak running with butter, Onions rings and chips. Why ask for preorder and be told we would get it to blatantly NOT do it is beyond me. We have been 4 times now and has been consistently BAD, at least you are consistent. I myself run a B&B and will most definitely not be recommending you!!!

The restaurant seems to be popular but you don't feel crowded as the tables are a good size and well spaced out so the atmosphere is still relaxing. We chose this restaurant by chance on our first night whilst staying in Nairn. The staff were friendly and helpful, fitting us in without a booking on a busy night, and we had such a good meal we went back the second night. Some of the restaurants in Nairn were quite expensive but this was good value for money and delicious.

We visited Mack's with my in-laws for a meal on a Friday evening.I was surprised at how pleasant it looked when we entered and even happier when I discovered the bar area was fully stocked with numerous Gins, Vodkas and Fireball, which we planned to introduce to our 70 year old companions. We were sat at a table for 4 with a street view, very pleasant. Table and chairs were attractive and comfortable. Presented with a comprehensive menu including the obligatory 5 or so starters. From memory there was soup, prawn cocktail, pate and a chilli filled taco. We all thoroughly enjoyed our choice.For mains there were several steak choices, curry choices, burger choices amongst others and apparently according to the mother in law a lovely salmon dish. I had the bean burger which to be honest I wouldn't have again - but that's just personal choice.We were full to the brim so didn't partake in desserts. We did however (barring me) have Gaelic coffees, hubby hadn't had one before but the in-laws had and certainly rated it. Hubby then ordered a fireball shot each. A new experience as I've said for the older generation. We told them, knock it back, all in one - oops! My hubby, a grown man of 47 looked so guilty as his father coughed and spluttered. Suffice to say we left soon after.One thing I would suggest is that they put fish in the tank. It did concern me that had we ordered a fish dish we may have been eating the previous contents.Apart from that the service was the best I've experienced in the area, very friendly and a nice meal. The hubby and I did comment that although nice, we wouldn't make the ten mile journey to purposely visit here but would revisit if we were in the town.

I've been to Macks twice and both of those times their food has been gorgeous not to mention their staff are friendly i would highly recommend you to go and have a meal their.

Arrived and we're seated straight away, 2 other tables with customers in. It took 20 minutes for the waitress to come back and take our order. By the looks of things there was 2 waitresses working at the time but both were too busy on their phones and chatting with what looked like friends at the bar. Being overly loud and very rude language. However we tried not to let this bother us, yet again waited over 20 minutes from when we had finished our meal and no one was coming over to clear our plates or bring the bill so we had to go up and say that we were finished. This could've been one of the tastiest meals we had on our week away but the service was absolutely shocking. When I visited the female toilets there was two boxes of diarreah relief at the side of the sink, whether this was another customer that left this there or a staff member it just looked highly off putting and should've had regular checks on the toilet.

Great menu with plenty to choose from. The macaroni was lovely. Waitress who brought our food and cleared away our plates was very friendly. Would recommend visiting here if in Nairn

Recently enjoyed an evening meal at Macks. Everything was great and I would definitely return - burgers, steak pie (home made) and desserts were excellent but the pasta also looks lovely. Pleasant staff and a relaxed atmosphere . The diner seems to be popular with both locals and visitors - often a good sign.

Fathers Day treat....booked on the day and table reserved. We were shown to table straight away and drinks and food order taken relatively quickly. The food arrived quickly and presented well..... The Chicken fillets in a spice crispy coating were delicious....the chicken was moist and delicious...... This is a must during any visit.... The fajitas were also very nice with one criticism would be to have another wrap available as I had a lot of filling left after my first 2 large wraps.The sweets we had..... Chocolate Brownie.....omg this was amazing, served warm with a warm chocolate sauce poured over. Macks is always a good place to eat, very relaxed atmosphere and the place looks really nice...... Well done and keep up the good work !!!!!

Have been here before. Enjoyed our meal. Very large servings and good food. Relaxed atmosphere. Staff were great. Actually forgot my drink. Brought it over late with a very sincere apology and assurance it wouldn't appear on the bill. Can't really ask for better. Will definitely be back.

Went to this place while visiting relatives in Nairn. They had booked this place for Saturday night and on our arrival, it was busy but not over packed. Drinks were reasonable. There were six adults and majority had Balmoral Chicken, chicken breast stuffed with Haggis and a whiskey cream with a choice of New pots or chips (fries) and selection of vegetables. I thought, along with others it was an excellent meal. The whiskey cream had a lovely balance to it. A few of us had desserts which was Sticky Toffee pudding, the portion was a nice size but looked very heavy, but surprisingly it was very light and finished the meal off nicely. Mack’s had a nice feel to it, plenty of room round the table and to walk past without having to move every time. The staff were great attentive but not intrusive. I would definitely eat there again when next visiting.

Enjoyed a lasagne here,sadly my aunt couldn't eat all her macaroni as she was full up.Son didn't eat all his pizza so he took it back to our hotel in a box.Waitresses very pleasant and cheery,good prices too.Will be back if I'm ever in Nairn.

Visited for a spot of lunch. No real lunch menu so it's evening prices all day. The waitress who served us was pleasant and knew to bring kids food with the starters. Food was totally fine. £40 for lunch was expensive though.

We visited Mack's last Sunday with our son and grandchildren as they have recently moved to nairn. Were not disappointed and will definitely be back. Service was really fast and efficient. Everybody enjoyed.

Mixed grill for me on my last visit.Arrived very quickly black pudding and the sausage were good, the rest OK.Service is good, we got a seat in the window which is OK but it is right next to e busy A96.Wouldnt rush back but will go back at some point.

I think it was Kate who served us, she was so friendly and cheery, which made us feel good. Little brother loved his cheesecake. Will be back!

On an overnight stay in Nairn we decided to check out local restaurants, simply went by the displayed menu, are were not disappointed. Excellent food and friendly service. Well worth the money and would certainly recommended.

we visited early around 5 pm was quiet at this time were shown to our table and were provided with high chair the server came with menus and took our drink order.the food was ordered and arrived quickly .very attentive server and the food was excellent we all enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back many thanks for a lovely evening

Very kind and nice staff. Food was really good. It came ut quick and was finished in minutes. Nice quiet place to have lunch and in a great location with parking just across the road. Will be going again

Since the name change etc, this place has just got better and better. Fantastic good value home cooked food at very reasonable prices. Great selection of beers and wines. Service is great and the staff are polite and friendly. There's no great push on portion control so your sure of a good healthy feed.

Visited today, spur of the moment with a friend. I chose Vegetable curry with some trepidation. I have in the past, in other establishments, been served curry sauce with a LOT of onions and mushrooms,but little else. Today was exceptional! I can honestly say that it was the best veg' curry I have had in 30yrs of eating throughout Moray and Nairn area. The lass who served us was very helpful and friendly. The food was hot, lots of it and the drinks were excellent, good size and refreshing. The meal was more than adequate and I was surprised to get rice, poppadom and chips served with the curry itself. The veg' were delicious and included asparagus, peppers, peas, french beans, sweetcorn and other veg too numerous to mention. I am still full several hours later. I am more than happy to recommend. My friend had macaroni cheese with garlic bread and salad. That was also a large portion which was again a surprise for a lunch time eat out. The lady who took the payment was telling me you have a fairly newly appointed chef. She said she would pass on my comment to him. As I do not have a Facebook account, I thought Trip Advisor the best way to comment. The table was large, seats comfortable, lighting good, ambient temperature of the room good and it was not noisy at all. I can see this becoming a regular venue for me in future. Oh, nearly forgot, the price was a pleasant surprise. Well under £20 for two of us including drinks. Well done and Thank you!

Had a delicious lunch today. All the courses were perfectly cooked. There were 7 of us altogether and we all enjoyed what we chose from the menu. Will definitely recommend.

Yesterday some friends and I visited for our annual Xmas gathering. The service was top notch, nothing a problem. The food was fantastic and very reasonably priced. Fab atmosphere, so much so we stayed and sat in the seating area for cocktails. The staff were great and we were made to feel very welcome. Highly recommend! Thanks for a great day/night.

Was here to a a meal with friends, food was really good and the staff are very attentive. I live in Nairn and was the first time here, and was very impressed. But please sort your windows out the condensation this lets you down ..... but will defo be back.

Went there on a sat evening and managed to get a table for the two of us. Great cocktails, good choice of food on menu, meal arrived quickly and was nice.

very busy plac. Went there on a Tuesday eveing and the place was full with a large birthday party going on. Good job we booked as they were turning people away. Large helpings of food.

We had a bit of a disaster with one of the starters, it was inedible but the others were ok. Then the mains, one was incorrect so I had a wait for it to reappear. My partner's pizza was pretty horrible and was left, the menu mentioned a stonebaked oven but this looked like a frozen pizza that wasn't cooked, a soft base and had a strong smell of butter. The other meals were ok, there were oven chips and a lasagna swimming in oil but all edible. My burger appeared at long last and was fine, nothing special but as everyone else was waiting I didn't finish it all.When the waitress appeared she asked about the untouched pizza and we explained why, you could see it wasn't pleasant. They said they'd speak to the sous chef and this is where things could have been handled so much better. We didn't know what was going on, we sat waiting for someone to explain and nothing happened, we were sat, no offer of more drinks or the dessert menu so eventually I had to head to bar and ask for the bill. This is primarily why our rating is so low, the restaurant could learn a lesson here. A bit of communication would have helped immensely, to be so dismissive and then leave us sat wondering what was happening was poor.

Been for lunch a couple of times , always been good. Their steak pie is great , if anything a bit too big , and chips munchy . Kids menu good and enjoyed , fish , and scampi to be recommended . Friendly staff

The food filled a gap but that is about all... certainly not good quality and there are better places to eat in Nairn. Cheap but you do get what you pay for. Perhaps better for lunch or just cocktails in the evening as the place had lots of atmosphere.

Visited Mac's a few times now ( mostly mid-week ) its still busy enough then, so a bit of atmosphere. Service and food always been good. menu changes often enough to keep you interested.

We came in on Sunday night when most places appeared to have stopped serving. Although quiet there was a friendly atmosphere, the staff were very welcoming and the food hit the spot. Just what we needed and we would definitely go back

I've always had a beautiful meal here, food amazing! Best steak I've had in a long time! Lovely family restaurant and the staff always make you feel welcome. Great place to visit, highly recommend!

Service was prompt however it seemed to have an air of indifference as the waiting staff had mates in so not as attentive as it could have been .apart from that fine.

Tasty main course, desserts, cocktails for a nice family catch-up. Portions were huge tonight, food cooked to perfection, asked for a different type of dip and not a problem, cocktails looked the part and tasted yummy! While since we've been as it's so busy and almost always fully booked at the weekend! How lucky are we to have this place literally on our doorstep! Prices are fantastic, 5 meals (4 adults, 1 child), 2 desserts, 3 cocktails, all for under £100

Popped in for lunch with mum and daughter, we all had different dishes and all enjoyed our meals. Freshly cooked, good quality ingredients and good value in terms of portion sizes. The service was very good, it's always very friendly whenever I've been in. I notice the one star review from July which surprised me, then saw that this reviewer has only written 5 reviews, one absolutely slating Macks and the other 4 all 5 star reviews for one other eatery in Nairn. Hmmm, draw your own conclusions there!

The building is a very dull grey outside and it's probably not a place I would have chosen to go but were were invited out by friends. However inside we were pleasantly surprised as it has a lovely ambience. The food is very good and delightfully presented.We were a party of 6 and everyone had something different including two vegetarian meals.First class service from the staff who were all very nice, helpful and friendly. Nice toilets.Parking: Across the road at the bus station, or car park at the back of the library. Couple of minutes walk.

Brilliant, had starters and beers and will come back again. The owners mum runs a great b and b up the street.

I was staying nearby with my wife and toddler and popped into nairn for a bite to eat. The portions are pretty huge and its the food was clearly homemade and good quality. Had some great local bottled beers and blue moon on tap. Great wee place if you hate jdw and all their frozen crap but expect to pay a bit more. You get what you pay for though!

Very good menu, something for everyone. Well cooked and presented with nice friendly service. Welcoming atmosphere. Will return when next in the area.

Popped in here for lunch last week. Was amazing! My mum and sister really enjoyed the cocktails. I was the driver for the day so waitress was happy to make me a mocktail. Will definitely be back

We have eaten in Macks several times over the last few months for lunch and dinner and every time the food is excellent, with a varied menu at very reasonable prices. Service is great and all in all would say it's the best place to eat in Nairn!

Good quality food and well presented. Well worth a visit. We will be coming back.Only down side is that the wine choice is very limited!
