Abi's Kebabs in Highland

Disgusting fish and chips. Staff are rude and treated us like turds. My stomach was not good for 48 hours after. Cash only business.

We decided 2 come here for our dinner, a wee treat, as we have been here b4 and always usually good, we decided to arrive at 10 minutes b4 opening time, to ensure we got the first batch of freshly cooked chips, very disappointed to see that we actually got the day befores refrys, absolutely disgusting,

Absolutely awful! £12.50 for a burnt fish and toenail chips from the bottom of the fryer. My partner just had chips, £4.00 for a very average sized portion of the same toenail clippings. Disgusting, most of it went in the bin. Add to this the inconvenience of having to leave the shop to find a cash machine as they don’t even offer payment by card. Big no and never again from me!!

Great carryout, good fish supper. As we live nearby we simply went and ordered. For freshly cooked - which took time, but well worth it

We must of picked the wrong day to go here as we had to wait nearly 30 minutes for the food and when got back to our accommodation the some of the chips weren't cooked through properly and the pizza that we shared was quite tasteless as it hardly had any tomato topping on it . We will try them again in September and hope that it was a one off and see what it's like . I will review again then and hopefully it will be a good review next time .

Staying in Fort William, we wanted a Fish Supper. We ordered it on line. When we collected it the fish was beautifully cooked with crisp batter, and delicious chips. Definitely highly recommended

One of The worst kebabs I have ever had, the meat was dry, cheap plastic meat. Chucked in a box with a stale undercooked pita thrown on the top. Was that inedible that Threw most of it out the hotel window for the seagulls to eat

The kebab was a joke. Meat was dumped in a box with the bread on top. Salad in a seperate box.... d.i.y. kebab :( Chips were not fried well, more like warmed up tatties. The fish was tasteless, and the cheese burger too fatty. The white pudding was the only decent item out of an order for £ 33. Was not worth £3 ! Feel cheated. Even the seagulls at the harbour refused to eat the chips. A sad excuse for a " traditional chippy"

We are disappointed. We have used Abis for over 20 years. I feel the meat quantity has massively decreased over the last 6 months. The last few kebabs have had burnt meat. The standard has dropped for the price.

Abby is been among us since forever and never disappoint us. For kebabs is the best in town, but you have to try the calzone or the pizzas. The curry sauce for the chips is outstanding.

asked for a doner burger and told me they had no doner left then 5mins later started serving people doner kebabs, so asked for a chese burger and it came with no cheese on it and they also forgot our curry sauce.

Disgusting, looks like someone has taken a 💩 in tub of curry, chicken was still pink in the middle, chips were cooked about 9 times by the look and taste of them. Definitely do not recommend, forgot some of our stuff aswel.

Had to find Sunday night dinner during lockdown and the place is very very busy as the only other option was McDonalds (a KFC is due to open in Fort William later in November 2020). Ordered mixed meat kabab which was freshly cooked to order with a fresh salad and coleslaw and grilled pita on the side. Tasty and hot - what's not to like...

Total pérdida de dinero, más de 16 por comida basura. ¿Quizás sus otros productos son mejores pero no buenos como tienda de chips?

Pretty good pizza with a variety of tasty toppings, although the tomato sauce seemed a little bland, as though it could do with some herbs or spices. I believe we went with the "house special" pizza (might be misremembering its name). Good price, as well.

Before, during and after lockdown, this place has a consistently good food, large portions and a very friendly staff, So be it sit in or take away its great value and exccellent food!

Mi esposa y yo fuimos aquí en nuestra primera noche para llevar. Mi esposa consiguió un doner kebab con ensalada, volví a comer un kabab de pollo con ensalada. Las brochetas eran buenas, pero mi pollo podría haber tenido un poco más de sabor, aparte de eso, ambas se comieron. Mi única queja sería que no hubo interacción del personal con el cliente esperando que su pedido se preparase. Con eso quiero decir que la gente visita Fort William de todo el mundo y eso me incluye a mí. Hubiera sido agradable disfrutar de una pequeña conversación, incluso solo para preguntar si era la primera vez que estaba en Fort William. Sin embargo, me di cuenta de que todo el personal, cuando visité, se entregó a hablar en su lengua materna, ¡así que no tenía idea de lo que estaban hablando! Dijeron que podíamos esperar o volver en unos 20 minutos, ya que todo estaba preparado a pedido (obviamente, la carne de doner está en camino, pero de todos modos tienes que esperar tu turno. Dijimos que regresaríamos. Así que fuimos a dar un paseo) al agua y tomé algunas fotos y regresé. Los chicos que habían ordenado las suyas justo antes de nosotros se iban con una bolsa de transporte y pensamos que debían hacer un pedido grande. Luego entramos y la nuestra estaba terminando. ¡y luego lo pusimos en una bolsa de transporte! Fue solo una caminata de 5 minutos de regreso a donde estábamos alojados y sacamos 4 salsas, 2 de cada una para cada keebab y también el contenedor de polisterina lleno de carne de keebab y pitta y ensalada de col y ensalada. ¡Fue enorme! Personalmente creo que uno de nosotros hubiera sido suficiente, pero tal vez no porque mi esposo se burló de la suya. Solo comí aproximadamente la mitad de mi carne y como había una nevera, pusimos el resto allí para almuerzo al día siguiente! Fue muy agradable en un poco de pan frío en realidad. solo ocasionalmente me gusta un keebab y tengo que decir que fue absolutamente delicioso, muy sabroso y bien cocinado y el pollo estaba muy húmedo y tierno. La ensalada de col también fue muy agradable. No me puedo quejar y relación calidad-precio en la cantidad que tienes definitivamente.

Right off the beaten path and Delicious. I saw lots of locals there and now I know why,. Both things that we ordered were excellent and enough food to save some for later.

Estuvimos en Fort William solo por dos noches, ¡y comimos aquí las dos noches! La primera vez fue porque no había espacio en ninguno de los pubs en la franja justo debajo de Abi's. Quería pasar una segunda noche consecutiva, pero mis amigos querían tener una verdadera experiencia de 'Scottish Pub', con la que estaba bien. . . ¡Pero todos los pubs estaban llenos otra vez y ni siquiera tomarían reservas! Lo que estaba bien por mí! Tengo que comer en este gran lugar una vez más!Buena comida, buen servicio, buen precio! Difícil recomendar!

Ir a Abi no te decepcionará! ! ! La comida está recién hecha mientras espera, así que espere una pequeña espera, ¡pero vale la pena! ! Abis food is always delicious. Never disappoints, first class take away. We order an Abi’s takeaway nearly every Saturday night! Would highly recommend to anyone 🙂

El primer kebab en 7 meses, fue recomendado por los lugareños mientras trabajaba temporalmente en Fort William, el lugar está limpio, ordenado y amigable, la ensalada era agradable, crujiente y fresca, PERO 7 para el kebab, ¡la carne estaba tan seca y sin sabor! ! ! El pan Pitta era como el cartón. No puedo comentar sobre ningún otro plato, pero manténgase alejado de los kebabs si este es el estándar. El precio no reflejaba el tamaño, más como un medio en la mayoría de los lugares.

On arrival at the shop you wonder if it's worth the effort to queue. Well trust me the food is absolutely superb. I had the fish & chips which were generous in portion and really tasty. My wife is vegetarian so I checked if the chips were okay for her and was advised that there was no animal involved in the batter or frying methods. There is a wide range of choices on the menu including pizza, burgers, kebabs, salads etc. The shop itself is located on the main car park behind the high street so just look out for the signs that will point you up a small alleyway.

The people are nice but the food (kebab and pizza) quite poor and the room upstairs not very pleasant.

I enjoy a good take away now and then.haven’t had a Abi’s in quite a while.so I decided to try the kabab wrap.i think that’s my new favourite now it was delicious.Also got the family pizza deal also went down very well and the coleslaw is fresh which is another added bonus.keep up the good work.

Stood there for 5 mins. Two staff members made eye contact then just ignored us and continued working. Clearly couldn't care less.

Good food, cooked fresh hence it takes long as they only cook once you place the order. But the prices are decent too. We had a chicken kebab and the portion size was good. Overall recommended.

I have been a few times and every time I have been it has been really good and there is a big car park next to it so it is easy to get to and park at and definitely one of the better places to eat in Fort William.

Never ordering again from this place, every single time you order they dont send the right stuff, constant problem. You even repeat what you want because theyve got it wrong 5 times ina row and again they send the wrong food. Last time ill now go elsewhere. Your as well having no staff in this kind of industry as having uninterested useless staff

the fotos speak for themselves..there was barely any white fish left under the batter and what was there was completely dried out and inedible..i suspect it had been not only overcooked in the fryer but also reheated in the microwave for far too long as the box had melted all over the fish.. it was an absolute disgrace to serve this to a customer..i had a few chips and the rest went in the bin...it was so overcooked the fish had actually mostly dissolved and was probably toxic having had the polystyrene melt right into it...how could you possibly expect to get away with this....

We use here quite often, normally we phone in and collect by time get there is ready as all cooked to order so always fresh. Great place, staff, food and portion sizes.

Food is very basic, chips are frozen, pies are microwaved then deep fat fried! YUK. There is more to the local chippy than this, you can't call it fast food I was the only one in the shop and it still took 25 minutes! This must be the worst chippy in the UK.

After a few pints i just want a kebab that is all in one easy to eat pouch not an array of tubs to make myself. If it tasted great i wouldn't complain, it was very average and the staff did not even smile. Also was shut when the bars closed!!

Ordered delivery to home, waited like an hour, called them back, and they said: sorry, we didn't take your number, sorry, good night. Never will eat there again, but really liked the burgers.

Usually buy a mixed kebab for the family. Loads of moist chicken,beef and kebab meat with chips,salad, chilli and garlic sauce. Plenty of leftovers to freeze.

As always, Abi did a great job. Lately they renovated also the place and looks more comfortable, but the food will always be superior to many. We have tried the skewers this time and they were delicious! Not a big fan of spicy sauces, so you can ask to get what you want and they always have been nice. Great service and great fast food!

Abi's does the most amazing chicken kebabs & the sides, coleslaw, chilli & garlic sauce are all absolutely delicious! Great wee takeaway, run by a great wee team.

We live in the area and regularly visit Ali's. The kebabs are delicious and freshly made and well worth the short wait. We do not eat in but takeaway to eat at home. The kebabs are tasty, fresh and we particularly think that Ali's special which inclues shish, lamb and chicken kebabs together with salad and sauces and chips are good value for money and far too much for two adults, so good value. Keep up the good work. We will be back....

My kebab was lush! amazing Chilli sauce, perfect chicken, perfect pitta and all separated so you can mix to taste. Coleslaw was also very good. I would highly recommend.

Finding a good pizza in Fort William has been a challenge I have worked on on my last few trips, I've still not yet reached a high standard.

Pizzas and fish and chips made fresh. Food good chips not fresh so not to my taste but otherwise tasty.

Was quiet as it was raining and chilling cold. Had seating area upstairs. We orders chips chicken burger chicken nuggets and all were very oily. Had to wipe them with tissue before eating. Otherwise taste was ok.

Food cooked to order, well worth the wait. Quality excellent, staff very friendly, prices reasonable, Would probably be better patronised if actually on the High Street.

Ordered two pizzas, chips, fizzy juices. all ready to take away within 15 minutes. all hot and fresh. the pizzas were great! the staff friendly enough, the prices couldn't be beat

Had a superb takeaway on Sat night....fish and chips, donner with the full works and an Abi's special for 2 sharing.....plenty of grub for everyone as we all shared (3 adults and a starving 2 year old)...heaps of chips and pitta breads along with chilli sauce garlic sauce curry sauce salad and coleslaw........home delivery also.....30 quid very well spent and enough left over for my lunch today.....every thing as fresh as "chips".....not to be passed without nipping in for some of the deals of the day. They do sit in also.

Only one place to go in fort William for fresh takeaway..... Come up from Glasgow 5/6 times a year...and allways eat here! And it's the same all the time! Large mixed kebab...and chicken pakora...blows our local shops out the water! Keep it up guys! Till next time!

been ordering regularly for a while now as its the best in the town , last time i spent over a certain amount so i was entitled to a free large bottle of juice which i did not want cos we dont drink sodas , next time she turns up with 2 bottles of magners instead!!! cos she knows i like that... hows that for a treat....excellent fresh and fine ingredients and not expensive either , keep up the good work guys....

I've had some expensive meals in the past but when u have a kebab thinking its goin to be cheap and nasty and then get a bill for £40 it's just like a rip off we go to a lovely place in Penrith the best kebab ever n its £6 I mean come on and the dining room needs cleaned

I stopped here after walking up Ben Nevis. It was open after nine and did fish and chips. Cooked fresh and to order. I've had better elsewhere, but the tasted good enough and filled the spot.

The kebabs - chicken and doner are the business! Very big portions reasonably priced I wouldn't go anywhere else for a kebab. This shop also does great pizzas and calzones - there is plenty to choose from everything is fresh and made to order so it does take a bit of time - but you don't mind waiting when your getting it fresh.

Definitely they make the best kebab and also the biggest and tastiest skewers in town! I eat there often and always was pleased with the quality!

Food is cooked fresh and to order....prices are very reasonable and you can eat in or takeaway....meal deals are also available.....well worth a visit..

Arrived here off the cuff after an unexpected road trip. We were starving and this place was right at the car park. Perfect.. orderd a food and slight misshap with or pizza how ever promptly sorted. And a face to face apologies and a free bottle of coke more than made up for the minor miss happy and a slightly longer wait.. and my partner certainly appreciated the prompt apology.... our food was ready and off we went... and without disappointment. The food was piping hot. The best chiken pakora in a long time and a fantastic pizza... loved it.. will be back next time we're in the area.. thanks for the munch

We all had a abi kebabs and it was great! Even nice food for kids to eat. My fave is chicken kebab. Defo highly recommend going to abis. I will definitely be going back 😃

Had dinner in there with the family, we had both doner and chicken kebabs and they were all decent decent portions and very tasty too.

We arrived in Fort William quite late and we were hungry so we decided to take a stroll up the high street to find a chip shop or something but it seems at 11pm in Fort William any where that serves food is shut so weasy decided to give up on the way back down the high street I noticed the kebab sign was a bit unsure as it's up a wee allyway but what I delight it was open and is open until 12pm every night food is good and staff are very friendly and welcoming

We had a great family meal at Abi's Kebab, the staff were friendly and informative, the meat and Kebab are Halal. Food was tasty and well cooked, we had Pizza, Kebab and burger. They also offered a free 2 litter bottle of coke.

As locals, we are perhaps a little biased. But Abi's is the best place for kebabs in Fort William. Food is always cooked freshly to order, but it's worth the wait, and service is efficient and helpful. Highly recommended!

Abi's bitte gute Fastfood Küche nach englischem Standard. Fish & Ships sind nicht unbedingt zu empfehlen, die Kebab-Spieße dafür schon!

We were looking forward to a nice tasty kebab on the first night of our stay in Fort William. Sad to say, this place failed to satisfy our expectations. Portions were small and the meat and chips seemed like they were left over from lunch. Not worth the money. Avoid!

Love going to Abi's for a cheeky calzonie. Always good to eat. Normally have a takeaway. very tasty.

Ive only eaten here a handful of times but never once had a problem. Food freshly prepared in front of you unless its a pizza which they do in the back but keep the door open so you can see it being made which i think is good to see. The coleslaw from this place is AMAZING!!! I could sit and just eat tubs of it, not a big fan of the pickled cabbage, a tad to much vinger but thats just me, some people like it that way! But in all this place is the best in fort william!!! Staff are always polite, know how to treat customers
