Welcomed at taking to our table by the lovely welcoming host. Followed by absolutely fantastic service and delicious food made my husbands birthday the food was absolutely delicious fresh and cocktails were great absolutely recommend

Surprising find! Brilliant pizza and burger restaurant in the heart of Portree. Great selection of toppings on pizza with lovely crust and thinness. Great food, lovely staff. Would definitely go again!

The pizza was delicious! I loved the crispy/burnt edges and the crust was just right. The flavors tasted amazing. Very fresh and the pepperoni was delicious. We had two different pizzas, beer and some whiskey to top. Great value and very nice service. The sour beer was a huge highlight. Highly recommend. It was nice to be able to reserve a table online too.

After a day of travel, my husband and I stopped in for dinner. The drinks and pizza were great! If you want leftovers, order 2 pizzas, but 1 would certainly have fed both of us. A wonderful surprise during our visit to Skye.

My hubby & I visited this evening and we both had Mushroom pizzas and shared some cajun skinny fries, super tasty. There is the option for vegan cheese which I had & it was really nice. The restaurant was quite busy and the staff were efficient before and whilst we were eating our dinner but once our plates were cleared we sat for about 10/15 minutes trying to get the attention of any passing staff member to request the bill. We eventually went directly to the bar to pay our bill. Please don't let our experience put you off, the pizzas are great.

Delicious stone baked pizzas! I created my own and it was fantastic and huge. We also had garlic bread and parmesan and truffle fries. Couldn't finish it all! Definitely recommended!

A nice welcoming restaurant right in the town square of Portree. Recommended to us by the bartender at the local distillery. We were very early for supper so we had our pick of tables and sat in a window booth. It was quiet and relaxing... we were quiet and relaxed... so much so the servers forgot about us for a few minutes! They were VERY apologetic and we all had a chuckle about it. Food... she ordered the margarita pizza with a Gin and Tonic, I had the Chicken Burger with French Fries and a Seaweed IPA. Pizza must have been good because she finished the whole thing. The chicken burger was very good. It was fresh and hot, had cranberry compote on it and the fries were the best in the Isle of Skye. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and provided recommendations for our next day of activities. I recommend giving this restaurant a try. Get the chicken burger!

The Cesar salad had no dressing and we asked for vinegar, the waiter told us they don't have it. After this, we asked for tomato sos, he brought us some small packages of tomato sos. It didn't work for the salad so we asked again for lemon. That made the waiter angry, telling us he have other customers too.

A very nice restaurant! The staff was really kind, however we did need to wait a little bit before ordering, because it was very busy. Unfortunately, there is no beer from tap which makes the beers kind of expensive. The menu only includes pizza en two burger, however the pizza’s where amazing!

Fantastic pizza and great ambiance!

Reached Portree in the Isle of Skye, and here I am, having my first taste of Scottish black pudding (yes, pig blood) on a pizza! Caberfeidh Restaurant specializes in pizza, burgers, beer, and cocktails. Despite the not-so-extensive menu, we went for their signature Caberfeidh pizza, featuring black pudding and venison salami. The taste was... well, interesting! 🤣 But hey, it's all about trying the local delicacies, right?

Great cocktails and one of the best fries I have ever had! No gluten free options for me so only my partner had a pizza which was delicious.

Pizza ok, quick service, excellent value for money. Just one piece of advice: close the entrance door otherwise the table near the door will freeze and no one likes cold pizza!

One of our favorite meals in Skye. The spicy pizza is the stuff of dreams. We also enjoyed the burger, fries, drinks, and ice cream.

Good atmosphere and helpful staff. Clean and tidy. Drink is really good. Staff did assist me to choose the wine. Food: oh God! I should have not ordered pizza. The crust and the base of the pizza was burnt. See my photo. Good restaurant but NOT GOOD PIZZA.

Arrivati a Portree senza prenotare la cena , io e mia moglie abbiamo cercato qualche locale che ci accogliesse dato che in Scozia dopo le otto difficilmente trovi qualche locale che ti accolga.Sinceramente non siamo tipi da cercare la pizza o il locale "Italiano" ma necessita' ci ha fatto decidere per questa bella pizzeria, nella piazza principale di Portree,sinceramente eravamo prevenuti ma la pizza che ci hanno servito era veramente di buon livello sia come pasta che come cottura, il locale molto bello e lo staff molto gentile e premuroso

Great drinks and pretty good pizza. While the pizza doesn't compare to Cafe Sia (about 40 min south of Portree), it was still better than average, and the location is great in downtown Portree.

We were a little late for lunch so most of the restaurants were already closed, but Caberfeidh was still open. The Funghi Pizza was amazing! It had wild mushrooms on it, not just those mushrooms like usual. The rest was also very tasty. Highly recommended!

Enjoyed the spicy sausage on the pizza. The burger was good but could use a bit more flavor and work on the presentation but overall good atmosphere and experience. The cocktail was good as well. We came in shortly after opening and were able to get a table, but it got quite busy soon after we arrived.

First night we wanted to go here but there was a huge line waiting outside. Today we went to have dinner here, but me and my partner both didn't finish our pizza because we didn't like it. I had a seafood pizza with maybe 6 mussels on it, it had burned edges and it just wasn't good. My girlfriend had the same, she ordered a smokey pizza with chicken, and had maybe 6 pieces of chicken on it. I would skip it to be honest, not worth the wait or the price!

Got takeaway from here and it was lovely. Got a burger and a pizza and we loved them. Reasonably priced for the area and staff were lovely.

A distinctly average experience which suggests inexperienced leadership and a lack of hospitality. Dined a few days ago and the service was shocking. It's not been open long and I guess I should give it a second chance but the experience has dissuaded me from taking another chance. I arrived at the wrong time...4.30pm I think. So neither lunch nor dinner and I guess the staff weren't in the mood. I was asked to wait for a short time for the table which was in the bar in the window. The lady said they had no menus but would bring one when they were able. I didn't get offered a drink which is the 1st law of restaurants right ?! So after 20 minutes sitting in the window listening to the next table being advised what was unavailable (including ketchup apparently!) I was left twiddling my thumb's. Staff were too busy chatting and greeting another employee who was probably a chef or a more important local. Eventually I decided to remind the staff and was greeted with " have you not seen the menu yet "? Obviously not ! I had to ask for a drink as it was not forthcoming. I soon ordered a venison burger & chips but by the time it arrived I really needed to be away ....I'd only allowed 1hr 15mins to eat lunch and I'd exceeded my time. The "squashed" burger arrived...in it's tin foil jacket and it was actually very tasty although looked like my sandwiches used to in my school lunchbox after I'd run to school. I accidentally knocked my coke over and the 4 staff standing behind me failed to notice. I asked for help and the girl kindly came and wiped the table but left the floor which was covered in the stuff. I quickly ate the burger and wrapped the chips to go then asked for the bill. I was told to go to the door station while the waitress took phone calls for reservations and tried to print my bill. Overall...it needs a proper front of house leader with eyes & ears in the back of their head. Customers should be a priority not an inconvenience and if you do t want diner's at 4pm..close ! We won't be going back until we see a decent number of reviews telling us how fab the service is because pizza ain't that hard to deliver....good service is.

Visited Caberfeidh today after it recently opened right in the centre of Portree. I'd say it's a work in progress and it needs someone who knows what they're doing, front of house! I walked in at 4.00pm and got a window table in the bar. They didn't have any menus and said they'd bring one over...but they didn't bother using their brains by offering me drink! 🍷 So I took my seat and listened to the waiter return to the table next to tell the diners what they didn't have available on the menu. This included ketchup apparently 😦 (surely someone could have popped to Co-Op !?) After 20 or so minutes I decided to remind the staff that I still had not ordered since I had no menu. It wasn't very busy but the staff were busy chatting to who I assume may have been a chef or someone coming into work so they were all huddled together talking. Eventually I ordered and got my 'Squashed' Venison burger 🍔 in a piece of foil with chips on the side. It presented badly in my view although it was hot and it tasted great. I looked rubbish ! The chips were good. I accidentally spilt my drink and no one noticed as the we're still talking by the bar. I made the server aware and also that the floor might need a mop s it was coke I spilt on the floor. It wasn't dealt with. I was by now late as I only had 1 hour to eat and asked for my bill. I was advised to go to the door and the lady came to the desk. She then took phone calls and left me waiting then asked the person phoning to wait while processing my payment. In the meantime...other staff were doing very little. Overall..service was really poor. Food was decent. Will I return...nope ...five guys do it better and it's better value. If they sort the service out and put the customer first then it's worth a try.

Hands down the best service we received on a recent trip to Scotland. The food was fantastic as well as the cocktails. Highly recommend!

They were very busy tonight but we still got excellent service and pizza was just as delicious.

Bar and restaurant, the whole thing is probably designed more towards the bar. The pizza was good, the burger was a little underwhelming. The atmosphere was rather uncomfortable, the service was ok. We were there on Saturday lunchtime and all the restaurants were really full.

Excellent, Incredible Pizzas and Burgers and Fries

Even though i did not have a have a chance to sit down. On a Bush day and with slm the restaurants full. They made take away pizzas, which is a great Life safwr.

Pizza war gut. Beilagensalate bestanden nur aus Ruccola. Das geht gar nicht! Preise waren relativ hoch, dafür war es im Lokal überaus laut, weil es gut besucht war. Gibt wohl dort auch nicht so viele Pizzerien. Uns hat es nicht gefallen, daher keine Weiterempfehlung!

From outside, you wouldn’t give away that this restaurant serves pizzas. We went for a late lunch- sharing a pizza and some cajun fries. Because it was so good, we went again for dinner. The pizzas have a good crust with a bite. Good choice of toppings and well seasoned. Cajun fries just how we like it, crisp and good covered with spice. Classic smash burger. Service quick and professional, clearly well trained. No need for reservations, restaurant is open throughout. Worth a visit for a lunch or dinner when in Skye, prices are very reasonable.

Usually when I'm abroad I never get pizza, but passing by I noticed that it looked good so I decided to try it and I must say that it's really excellent, soft and light dough even better than many Italian pizzerias. If you are on the Isle of Skye and fancy a pizza, this is the place.

Pizza cold, no toppings that were ordered were added to the pizza, burnt ( definitely not just stone baked) …. Very disappointed…not freshly made…. Poor.

Nach einem langen Wandertag waren wir hier zum Abendessen und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Das Lokal liegt ziemlich zentral. Wir hatten einen Tisch direkt am Fenster. Das Lokal ist gut ausgestattet und das Personal ist unwahrscheinlich freundlich. Wir hatten beide eine Pizza (meine mit scharfer Salami) und beiden Pizzen ware sehr schmackhaft. Danach haben wir uns noch ein Eis mit Schokolade bzw. Erdbeersoße gegönnt. Das Vanilleeis war aber eher ein Softeis - aber trotzdem sehr gut. Das Lokal können wir nur empfehlen und bietet auf jeden Fall eine Alternative, wenn man einmal kein schottisches Essen mehr zu sich nehmen kann.

After a long walk in Portree and the surrounding area we wanted something to eat for the afternoon. We chose this restaurant. We were told right at the start that there were no burgers. To this day we still don't know why. Since the kitchen doesn't open until midday, the food can't be used up yet. We opted for a pizza instead. You can order some extra ingredients. That's great! However, you would expect a decent amount for this very high additional price. We had exactly four small pieces of pineapple and a touch of nduja on the pizza. Very disappointing. And almost 4 pounds more for that? Really not justified. We were also lucky that we weren't too hungry. The pizzas are also very manageable in size. The drinks were good and also reasonable in terms of price. We paid with a credit card after our meal and wanted to add a tip. When we asked whether we could add the tip directly to the card, we were told that the tip was already included in the bill... We couldn't see how much had already been added to our bill because we weren't shown a bill. We figured it out in retrospect, but we found this situation a bit strange. We know from other countries that a certain service amount is charged, but this has to be written on the menu card in advance or otherwise marked. Furthermore, we have never had to pay such an amount anywhere in Scotland. All in all, we were reasonably full, but for that price I wouldn't visit the restaurant again.

Very expensive pizzas , toppings were very nice but pizza not amazing . One of our pizzas was really quite burnt and took a long time for them to come out. Staff was unfriendly and cold when saying about our burnt pizza. They did however give a discount because of this so not too bad

Delicious dinner option in Portree ! We were in Portree four nights and ate here twice. This is an excellent option for those without reservations. We arrived at 5 pm to put our name in the queue and had a table for seven 40-55 minutes later. Excellent food and service — with vegetarian & vegan options.

Nicely designed place and a friendly team. Pizzas were brilliant - best on Skye by a mile. Burgers, unfortunately, were reaaaaaally bad. We had two different varieties and both guests were unimpressed. Jarring to have such variable quality side by side. I'd recommend the team focuses on what they're good at, and I'd recommend you going - for the pizza! - if you're on Skye! 🍕

The pizzas are ok, but unfortunately they don't stand out in terms of taste (at least when you compare them with other pizza shops of a similar style). The price is set very high, but that's how it is in a holiday town. The service wasn't really trying. What I also find a bit strange is that 10% is automatically added to the bill for the service at the end. I've never had that before and I don't think it's good either.

Pizzas were fantastic and service also very good. Pizzas came quickly. Highly recommend. Struggled to get lunch in Portree. Lots of kitchens closed at 2pm, which we found bizarre as it was so busy (Saturday in August!) We hadn’t ordinarily planned to get pizza but glad we did now.

Pizza was fine. The cocktails were exceptional. The bartender was very friendly and introduced some nice whisky for us!

Stopped in Portree on our way to Waternish. Restaurant was busy, which was a good sign. We couldn’t get a table, so we ordered take away food. The lovely staff allowed us to sit by the bar, where we had a cold drink and waited on our dinner. Vegan margarita pizza was lovely, as were the burger and chips.

For two evenings we tried to get in to eat but it was impossible, everything was booked. Took two takeaway pizzas, half burnt, too bad they also looked good from other reviews.

I showed up at 8:15pm looking for a seating for one. The young lady at the front flubbed the handover to the manager and long story short, they refused to seat me, first claiming they had no seats and offered me takeaway instead. As people were walking out, I enquired again with the manager about seating and he said he’d check again reminding me they close at 9; I told him I’d wait because I’m a fast eater. After a further enquiry, the manager rudely told me it was takeaway or nothing and refused to serve me. With customer service that poor, this restaurant will be short lived, especially with so much other choice in town.

Really delicious pizza’s! Waiter wasn’t always paying attention for drinks, but the food and drinks were amazing.

Excellent and fast service in this pizza, burger and drink bar. The pizza was very good and the Talisker 10 whiskey at the end, a very delicious Scotch.

Benn in Scotland 4 years and this was easily the best burger I've eaten here. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Got the spicy mayo and the fermented hot sauce - they were absolutely delicious with the Cajun fries which themselves were perfectly seasoned with a great kick of heat 10/10 definitely a go to

Amazing pizza. Don’t miss the one with the beetroot (sounds strange but is really good). Also, probably the best espresso in Scotland.

Luckily we got here early, around 5:15, and they said we could be seated as long as we finished in an hour and 15 min! Easy. Such good pizza, very unique flavors and tasted amazing. We also had side salads, wine and cocktails. All the servers were so friendly. Definitely would come here again! But make a reservation!

Excellent pizza. I can't remember the one I had but it had hot honey on it and was amazing. Fantastic place. Make a reservation. Hostess was great, service was on par with the rest of the UK.

"No booking, no service". But this mostly since the staff wants to close up at 9, a Friday, and go boozing themselves. People were being turned away, with empty tables. So making a reservation, everything still went wrong. Wrong # of people, wrong time, remade reservation at later time, still no seating, not keeping tab of drinks already served, e.t.c. Pizza's excellent, though. Avoid the burgers, not worth the price. Also, for all of our problems, we got a nice discount, and that was a nice gesture.

You must make a reservation if you wants to have a meal or cocktail. They misunderstood our reservation so we had to wait 40 minutes before we got our table. After 30 minutes they told us that they decided to close at 9 PM because there were not so many customers, and that is quite interesting because they told 2 companies while we were waiting that they were fully booked. We guess they wanted go out drinking with girls instead, because we met the server in another bar directly after we left. The pizza was really good.

Walked in at 8:20 and was told they were fully booked. There were two empty tables within my sight just around the corner. We were not offered the option of take out. I was wanting pizza. Horrible hospitality.

When we learned you can't get a table in Portree without booking roughly half your lifetime in advance, we thought "well let's go get pizza". Even then we had to get a reservation for an hour later. Absolutely worth it! Truly outstanding pizza, and we are already planning to go back. In fact, forget those other places. Just go here. The drink menu is solid too!

Excellent pizza, great cocktails and great service. One of the most reasonable restaurants in Portree and worth a stop. Cocktails were delicious and creative. We all had an individual pizza and shared side salads. Good size portions. Great wood fired crust and quality toppings. We read reviews where people complained about added 10% service charge… our server pointed it out ahead of time…. No issues for us at all. Skip the $100 dinner and come here.

Portree is notorious for being overcrowded with tourists and having no place to eat dinner. Our first night we made dinner reservations and on our second night we had planned on getting pizza from the Pizza in the Skye food truck and eating it at our hotel. It turns out that if you want pizza from the food truck that you need to order a day in advance or they are booked, so that plan failed. And of course there are zero places to eat dinner in Portree without a reservation. So we searched for another pizza take away place. Went to another one that was closed and we were about to just eat chips for dinner when we stopped in here. We got three pizzas to go and they were some of the best pizzas we have ever had in our lives. The pizza was ready to take away in 15 minutes, the staff was friendly, and the pizza was delicious. Make this your go to dinner option in Portree.

Great pizza restaurant and excellent food. Unfortunately, after dinner you were more or less "looked away". After-dinner dining with a drink and coffee was only possible at the bar. People were even sent away from the table because they had already told it to other guests (with the excuse of "overbooked" and you are really involved as the wait staff). Seems like the largest possible "earnings model" at the expense of the coming (and paying) tourist. Very sorry! Only go there if you want to eat super fast.

Great pizzas, nice cocktails and friendly staff. We had to find a quick shelter for the rain so we popped in for an early dinner. The selection of pizzas on the menu is small but you can make it your own how ever you like. Most of the menu is drinks with loads of cocktails.

Kitchen? Great -- making tasty pizzas! Service? Indifferent with disinterested staff We'd booked, arrived 5 minutes early and were seated about ten minutes late. We waited 10 minutes for water and almost 25 for our pizza meals. Such a long time with little indication from the eating staff -- they weren't short of staff -- that our meal mattered.

Lets start withy the positives. The food, pizzas, that we had were tasty so credit for that However when we ordered we asked whether one ingredient on one of the pizzas could be changed and replaced by onions and we were told this would be no problem A little while later one of the pizzas arrived however the one with the onions didn't. The waitress said they'd realised they hadn't made the requested changes so they had to cook it again. Several minutes later it arrived but it still had no onions! When we received the bill we noticed we'd been charged for two ingredients we didn't have!! So basically we were being charged extra for less After a bit of a debate we got this sorted out. I was not at all impressed that they charge an extra 10% for service irrespective of how bad the service is. To end with a positive the food was good but the service and attitude certainly weren't

Don't go there at the weekend as it's closed
