The best restaurants in Edinburgh and Lothian

Been using them for years, never had a problem with them. Food isn't outstanding but quite acceptable.

Were there in mid-November, there was no one there except for us - it probably went very quickly for us contrary to the other reviews. The service was super nice and otherwise it's a nice location. The food was simple but tasty, there was nothing wrong with it. We would come again.

Ordered food tonite 7.30 9pm order cancelled bloody rediculous no word of warning,will not use again have frequently used.

Visitamos el domingo por la noche, no necesita reservar, era bastante tranquilo. Informado de las ofertas especiales, buena selección de comida en el menú menú infantil. Pan de Ajo para los niños, pedimos salchichas con puré de patatas y hamburguesa y n fichas del menú de niños, la gran hamburguesa/patatas fritas, el jalapeño queso se derrita y el pollo fajita hamburguesa, pinta de cerveza fría, vino de la casa de cristal y refrescos para los niños. Y Chic brownie tarta fudge y helado para el postre.

A quick stop to grab some food to take with us to make a little picnic on a pleasant day. It is a convenient little store and specializes in simple things, useful snacks and drinks.

The food is nice but the delivery is dreadful, doesn’t matter whether you order via Just Eat or directly with the restaurant, it always takes forever to arrive - we’ve given them too many chances now and when we call the restaurant you just get ridiculous excuses. Never using them again and wouldn’t recommend you do either.

Shocking service, sat waiting for 30 minutes without being served, asked multiple times to be served but to no avail, eventually left without ordering, manager was too busy texting on his phone to be able to speak. It was also not busy inside so this poor service cannot use that as an excuse.Went to 5 guys instead.

It's small but very good atmosphere, I really liked the food and the perfect service

I was overcharged over 2 weeks ago. Still haven't received my refund. They are not allowed to give refunds in the Tranent dominos. So I had to go through a refund centre. Ridiculous. When I try to phone them. I get cut off after a minute of waiting. I will be avoiding this branch.

Ordered a meal for delivery via JustEat at 11:45pm. Called after 30mins and was advised the food was ready and waiting for the JustEat driver/biker. Advise the food would be cold and was assured if it was they would make it fresh again. Called again after another 30mins and was given an apology and again if cold would be made fresh. Went to bed and at 1:56 was woken up with the door bell ringing and the JustEat driver/biker was there over 2 hour after placing the order! The food was freezing cold and the receipt stated it was made at 11:58! Appalling service from McDonalds as it was they who contacted JustEat to deliver their product and it is their responsibility to ensure the delivery goes out in time and delivered correctly. Threw the delivery in the bin and still waiting on a refund!!!

FYI - this is just a hot-food shelf in a petrol filling station. I see a lot of misunderstanding in other reviews. The food is fine for what it is, nothing more to add.

Good quality products and rather low prices

Worst meat and chips I've ever had and not even what I asked for. Chips tasted like cardboard and they piled on a load of unsolicited cheese to top it off. Only redeeming factor was the locals providing some surrealist entertainment.

Ordered on their website, it didn't get confirmed, and when I rang to confirm I was told that website isn't them, despite it having their menu, and that you need to use Scoffable or Just Eat. The money somehow got refunded. The woman on the phone was unbelievably rude when I said they need to try and get that other website taken down, as it's portraying them incorrectly, and she told me I was being rude, not to bother ordering, and hung up on me. Used to use these guys as our go-to chippy, but we will never go there again. That is not how to a) run a business or b) talk to customers.
