NKD Pizza in Edinburgh, City of

Seriously one of the best pizzas in Edinburgh and the fact that it's 'healthy' makes you feel a lot less guilty (still tastes legit asf though). Customer service is top notch, had an issue with a code and received a text back within minutes (bearing in mind it was around 10pm). There's always deals available to knock down the price so don't be fearful of the initial prices, odd technique in the food market but hey, it must work! Would highly recommend ;)

NKD Pizza is 100% theee best pizza - doesn’t leave you feeling horrendous after eating and seems that little bit healthier due to the grainy base. The chicken tenders are also unbelievable. Would recommend over Pizza Hut and Dominos any day!

I've ordered deliveries from NKD more times than I care to admit, and I've never been disappointed. Always really tasty and providing a good selection, you can't go wrong here. Unlike some places I've bought from pizza from here really tastes like fresh food.

We love nkd pizzas they are so fresh, great selection of toppings . Usually a great deal on too which means they are excellent value. Definitely the best takeaway pizza in Edinburgh. We usually end up getting sides too which are also great. Friendly service definitely recommended go try!!!!

I've been a regular customer of NKD Pizza for a year now. Mostly wanting to review to counteract some negative disinformation from other reviews. They've always had great pizzas and great deals and I've never had a delivery late. Really worth while checking out!

The food arrived quickly, the staff were really kind and helpful. They were all super friendly. The pepperoni pizza was delicious! Doughballs were also really nice if a little spicy for me.

I regularly order from here due to food allergies and usually the pizza comes late and I just deal with it but the lack of apology/understanding from the staff is overwhelming. I was LAUGHED AT when I called to ask when my pizza was arriving (took 4 phone calls to get through to them). Ordered pizza at 18.50 and pizza did not arrive until 20:45pm. Shocking service with no help at all. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!! I have also had to wait 10 days for someone to get back in touch with me about it (despite phone calls and messaged on the Instagram account since they never reply to anything else). I haven’t heard anything after being assured they’d call me back within the hour. Don’t waste your money, just stick with dominos where the pizza is just as good and the staff and friendly

Ordered via uber eats at 5.30pm its now 7.30pm and still not received my order. Tried contacting the restaurant but their phone is off, call won't go through. Don't order here.

Have ordered a few times from NKD Pizza now and absolutley love it!! I alwasy order the Gluten Free option and its amazing and so tasty! I highly recommend. Also the normal bass is great to ! Also you can get great deals online!!

Didn't arrive on time, I suppose I can forgive them this as it's a bit of a drive of cycle (didn't look like the guy cycled though). But average pizza after I'd heard great things, still ate though (it's pizza) great but not brilliant.

Me and my friend went to pick up a free pizza, we ate it and both felt ill after. She then vomited continuously. Boot 👎

NKD Pizza are still refusing to contact me to refund a failed order through cheapermenu.com their website has no email address contact and their contact form isn't functional. Everyone involved with this takeaway is uncontactable in the event you want to get your money back. It's a scam. Beware of any business with more one star reviews than anything else.

We ordered online and one of my friends specified that his pizza needed to be mozzarella-free due to an allergy. The delivery came very late and we couldn't get through to you despite several attempts. When the food arrived, my friend with the allergy found that his had mozzarella. Please ensure that a quality check takes place so that this doesn't happen again. He could have been very ill.

Ordered pizza as it said it would take “around 25mins”. Got our Luke-warm pizzas an hour and forty mins later. Tasted ok but not what you want after a busy day at work! :( Not even that apologetic when we contacted for an update. Sad times

Delicious pizza and great veggie and vegan options. The doughballs are also excellent, and all the food feels reasonably priced too! We'll definitely be ordering again 🙂

Ordered two pizza and accidentally got delivered four! Staff were kind, understanding and couldn't have been nicer, let us keep all the pizzas. My friend ordered a pizza with vegan cheese, highly recommends it!

I order from NKD Pizza quite often. I get pizzas delivered from the Morningside branch. Delivery is really quick, even when the weather is bad like today with torrential rain! You've Goat To Be Kidding Me is a fabulous pizza, as are the other ones I've tried. I will definitely keep using NKD as the pizzas, staff and deliveries are all great. I recommend NKD Pizza to everyone.

Walked in off the street, waited while sales assistant was on the phone, the other phone rang and the manager walked past me and answered it.... Sales assistant put the phone down and began serving me then stopped and answered the phone, hight of ignorance. Then gave me the "card machines not working" line after I ordered and told me to walk to a cash machine 100m away.....

Forever doing offers which tends to be the only time I buy, otherwise I would consider them a tad on the expensive side. I do like the base though the topping can be a little scarce - however a nice pizza all the same

Fantastic pizza and sides delivered to our hotel by friendly delivery man! Food arrived very hot and fresh. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and would definitely order from NKD Pizza again when in the city. Thank you.

Ordered online via cheapereats.com and to be fair got a great price - £17 for a large pizza and 4 sides, including delivery. Once order was placed delivery time was stated to be 1hr but arrived within 45 mins, again better than expected for a Saturday night. But after that had several issues. First issue was one of the sides did not arrive with the rest of the order, called the restaurant who said they would send it immediately. That was 35 minutes ago and still waiting. Second, we specified we wanted tomato base sauce on the pizza we ordered instead of the bbq sauce it came with but the pizza we got had the bbq sauce base. Thirdly, none of the food would be what could be described as hot, would be lukewarm at best. Would definitely rather sooner go to one of the other various pizza offerings in Edinburgh than back to this mediocre place.

Round at friends and we all ordered pizza directly from this place. I created my own - with toppings costing an additional £1.40 each. I could hardly taste the vegan cheese (which costs an extra £2.50), there must have been about a teaspoon of sweetcorn added, three basil leaves, two tiny slices of red onion and no artichoke at all. All for the princely sum of around £17 for what was basically a piece of bread. Absolutely disgusting and so incredibly miserly. NEVER again.

Very nice pizza. We enjoyed the 10-grain base, which seems not to have oil added to it as you find at many pizza places. Delivered within 40 mins of ordering to Fairmilehead (ordered at 5:30pm on a Saturday).

First of all, I’d like to say that I’m writing this review without having ever received my order.

If we could have give no stars we would’ve. Rude and terrible customer service. Call no 3 after 2 HOURS to chase order met with hostility and extreme rudeness. Told order was with driver so what did we want him to do. Then informed he will just refund order... so... no food? Awful. Do not order from here.

Delivery was so late then the shop telephoned me staring their driver had been pressing my buzzer when I could see him in his car sitting at the back of my building. He obviously had gone to the wrong stair, the audacity of the the guy on the telephone told me to go down to the back door to collect it. Emm? Sorry I have the flu and not being rude but I didn’t pay a delivery charge to go out for it! Anyway the driver delivered the food which was absolutely freezing as it’s pouring of rain outside & the lateness of the delivery. I téléphoned the shop back to get a young female who was very nice but after I explained my food was cold, she checked with her manager who said they would remake it! Really?! Do I honestly want your food again... appalling customer service and the food isn’t edible, don’t waste your time.... so rude! M’y food currently cooking again which is inedible, nothing worse when you are poorly and stuck indoors.

Pedimos unas pizzas a domicilio. Tras dos horas y media, 3 llamadas al local y contactar con el servicio del pedido nos llegaron las pizzas, eso sí, frías. Si por lo menos hubiera estado caliente el pedido... También habíamos pedido cubiertos pero ni eso

Morningside branch was really busy but the staff were really professional and friendly, even though the phones were ringing every minute. They definetly deserve some thanks after that shift! Food lovely at good prices.

Waited over an hour for our order. Called 3 times to see what was happening, no response or follow up. The driver who delivered our order knew he was due at 1930 and we received no apology, and no apology from the restaurant. The pizza does taste nice but wasn’t hot so not as enjoyable. Really disappointed. Wouldn’t recommend.

Have tried to order from NKD several times. Have had Pizza sent to wrong addresses, have had vegan pizza's turn up covered in dairy cheese, turn up cold or not turn up at all. Having ordered a desert with strawberries once, they apparently 'ran out of strawberries' and - rather than attempt to find a solution, just sent the dessert without any strawberries.

The best takeaway in town! Pizzas are always so nice and so full of flavours. Service is always friendly and if there is any misunderstanding they are so quick to solve it. They do a lot of good deals, so in the end it’s not as expensive as other pizza places can be. Very well impressed. Will definitely keep ordering in the future. Go NKD!

Food arrived cold, had to be reheated in the oven and sweet potato fries weren't cooked properly. Pizzas were grand but overall experience I wouldn't recommend... try Dough on Rose street instead...amazing!

Oh dear. Ordered online which seemed a catastrophic disaster. No pizzas ever arrived even after turning up at the shop to beg for custody of our order. We were told to try Pizza Hut if we wanted something quicker. Morons.

Ordered online for later in the evening, so we cd enjoy after the baby was in bed. I paid and the order was accepted.

Ordered 3 pizzas in store and was told it would be 20 minutes max. Had to wait over an hour and they only managed to get one pizza correct. Had to ask for a discount and an apology even seemed too much to ask for.

If I were judging this on the food alone, this review would be five stars. Although I suspect it is not as healthy as claimed by the chain, if I really wanted health food I wouldn't be ordering a pizza. There's a great selection of pizzas and I've enjoyed every one that I've tried although I would note that the side portions of chips have a strange aftertaste to them sometimes. However, one time I ordered a pizza online, had an order confirmation email and, an hour later, had heard nothing more from the restaurant. When we rang to ask about our order the staff seemed very rushed and hectic and we were cut off about three times before eventually being told that our order was cancelled. So we were left very hungry and a bit annoyed! I decided to give the branch one more chance- after all, Saturdays are a busy night and I'd heard they had some staffing issues. At a quieter time on a Tuesday I booked a couple of pizzas for a collection at lunchtime, and they were ready for us the minute we walked in the door. I'm just not sure I'd trust them to deliver again, but I live pretty close to collection isn't too much of an issue for me anyway.

My (younger) daughter and I thought we'd try NKD Pizza after my elder daughter recommended it. The menu had good variety, service was a little flat but we were looking forward to something on the slightly healthier side for Pizza. Pizza sizes were good - my daughter had an individual (4 slices) which she couldn't finish and I had the 6 slice which was just over my appetite level. What surprised me was the amount of oil on the mediterranean (veggie) pizza (see photo). Still feeling greasy 2 hours later. We also ordered the cinnamon swirls and I would sadly reiterate the earlier reviews - they were very dry and didn't taste of much. Shame.

Ordered a pizza online, got the order confirmation, waited an hour for delivery only to get a call saying they hadn’t even started cooking it. Wouldn’t order from here again, utterly useless.

We had a itison voucher for a large deluxe pizza , chose pepperoni , the sauce and topping were exceptionally tasty as was the base, have purchased another two vouchers because we enjoyed it so much . I had added on the cinnamon swirls for dessert and they were horrible , too dry and didn’t taste of any flavour , maybe would have been nice if it came with ice cream or sauce portion etc won’t be ordering that again . Staff were friendly and efficient. I ordered it online and picked up 10 mins later with no wait . I wouldn’t buy from here full price (as I wouldn’t other pizza takeaways ) but I will most likely continue to purchase the vouchers if they carry on .

We planned to pick up some pizza on a Sunday evening and came across this new-ish place thru Groupon. Lots to choose from, lovely ingredients and a special lighter healthy pizza base was promised. We selected a kids Margherita (£3) for the young person in our company and as we had taken up the £30 offer (paying £15), we were advised they could do "half and half" of any pizzas on the menu. This equated to two 15" pizzas (split four ways) and the kids pizza for £32. We chose a fiery pizza, a vege with goats cheese, a bbq with chicken and finally a roast chicken with nduja and pesto, all halves of pizza were really tasty. The base is NOT thick, NOT deep pan and with the various grains they advertise, a bit healthier than other pizza takeaways! There is not a huge amount of cheese, but rathwr just the right amount of each ingredient. Service was extremely polite and pleasant. We were advised our orser would take 20 minutes, and when we returned and it wasn't ready, they provided us with free non alcoholic drinks. All in all a great experience, and not one to strip off and get all hot and flustered about!

An excellent first experience. From their advertising there is a lot of mention of the unique 10-grain pizza base and house-made tomato sauce and both were fantastic. I opted for the Pitmaster which was loaded with a fine balanced of different smoked meats and BBQ sauce, while my partner went for the Garden Party vegetarian pizza which was equally generously topped. Ordering online was straight forward and we were given an excellent deal of £15.50 for two 11.5 inch medium pizzas. If you are particular about ingredients there is also the option to remove toppings from your selection. We opted to collect our pizza, though there is a delivery option (£2.50) as well. The staff were friendly and seemed to be loving their work. From order to collection took about 40 minutes which was very good for a Friday night. There is also a range of soft drinks and ice cream on offer, and various side dishes and dips. Very impressed and will be back!

First visit to NKD Pizza for a take-away pizza. Wow - amazing pizza, fantastic friendly & fast service. The pizza base is very light & pizzas are hand-made in store using 10-grain ancestral blend flour. Really tasty pizza & healthier option than other brands. Really impressed & will definitely use next time we want a pizza.
