The pizza tasted nice and the potato things were okay though nothing special. They tasted like mini croquettes you could find a lot cheaper in a freezer section. My main problem was the temperature, the food was fairly cold

Ordered pizza to get delivered to my friends house and it didnt arrive. Also didnt receive any phone call from delivery driver to say if they were lost or something. Terrible service. Really not happy

Pizza itself was great. Tasty and good quality. The sides were poor. Not very flavourful and a low quality. I would get the pizza again but would think twice about ordering sides. Good delivery driver who followed the extra instructions to the letter.

Delayed pizza collection due to staff apparently forgetting one of the pizzas. Staff behaviour behind the counter appeared rather odd, some sitting on boxes on their phone and others just messing around. The pizza itself wasn’t that tasty and soon after left me with an upset stomach. Pretty poor standard from what should be a big company.

Placed an online delivery order for £27. Money was taken from account, no confirmation email and no food delivered. When I called the store they said the money would be refunded within three days if I didn't get a confirmation email. Update 03/07/2024 I eventually managed to get a refund after a week.

New customer, came in about lunchtime today Friday 7th closer to 1 pm for a takeout. I went to fountainpark papa Johns last week and really enjoyed my experience and food and wanted to repeat the process. The food this time was also good however the male counter staff was very rude and impolite, however the lady who gave me my food was very nice. Would not comeback because of the rude male person who initially served me. Would not recommend

ordered a couple times from this store and have always had good experiences :) they always come up to the top floor of our building when most drivers don’t which is lovely. also got free pizza and garlic bread as order was a bit late. the works pizza is to die for 🤩🤩

I had an extremely disappointing encounter with the customer service at this store. The behavior of the manager was appalling and disrespectful.While placing my order, he started screaming at me. When I requested to speak to another staff member, he arrogantly replied that he was the manager and continued to raise his voice, insisting that I leave. This kind of treatment is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the establishment.

Papa John’s is an excellent pizza place it really fantastic delicious, pizzas and it definitely much more better quality pizza

Food arrived 15 mins after the notification to say it had been delivered and food was cold. My 12 year old autistic son prefers his food luke warm, and I actually had to heat the food up because the food was even cold to him.

I had the worst delivery experience I’ve ever had yesterday evening.. First of all they didn’t even get my order correct (they sent completely the wrong food) and the food they sent i a horrible taste to it almost they purposely pored some sort of weird seasoning on my pizza what made it taste disgusting and uneatable. I wish I hadn’t but I gave the delivery driver a £10 tip but after I tasted the food I disappointed in Papa Johns it’s the current staff who are ruining the companies reputation and I will never ever be ordering from them again.

Atrocious customer service. Ordered a delivery, which didn't get delivered yet it was marked as delivered. I phoned them up and got told by the incredibly rude manager that the driver supposedly couldn't deliver it and that they phoned (which they never). They then refused to reattempt delivery and refused a refund, so I have effectively been robbed by Papa John's. Don't get a delivery.

Terrible place. Ordered £29 worth of food, pizza etc, and only got 1 pizza. Called them Back and they told me I’d been refunded, which I hadn’t. (I have the proof) Had the cheek to ask me to send an email to head office ?!?!! Basically stole £10 from me. Pizza was inedible too. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID.

The food here is alright nothing special just a regular pizza. The guy that works there at the till with the tied up hair is always rude and I wouldn't recommend coming here if you have short patience

Good food. Arrived on time with one minute to spare.

Pizza was the same as any other Papa John’s and very tasty for a good price on pickup. Took 40 minutes though for them to prepare a small pizza even though no other customers were there. Staff also don’t seem to know what’s going on. We asked for garlic sauce and we’re told they were completely out even though when we opened the box there was one inside.

Ich wollte auf dem Weg zum hotel noch etwas essen. Als ich rein ging meinte der Besitzer er habe schon geschlossen. Ich könnte aber eine Pizza mitnehmen. Als ich wartete bot mir Albertello (hoffe das ist der richtige Name) an, dass ich doch vor Ort essen kann. Die Pizza mit Chilisauce war super. Frisch aus dem Steinofen. Sehr lecker. By the way: Der Besitzer hat vor 2 Monaten gewechselt.

Was really cold when I got my food and missing pork I added and payed extra for felt like it was sitting there for an hour or 2 and they didn’t bother to add my extra toppings

Genuinely atrocious service from the boy on the till. Around 3pm, being told the lunchtime deal was over (by a matter of minutes at that) which I suppose is fine, but the attitude from the boy was entirely unnecessary. His overall demeanour was abhorrent at best and he made such a fuss about being handed cash, I decided to just walk out in the end. If you don't want people's business, you won't get it.

Unfortunately, as I was in the middle of eating a slice of pizza, a piece of metal got jammed between my teeth. It took me a while to get it out and now I have bleeding gums. Not happy.

Ordered pizza today for lunch. As i have choosen the meal deal, i called the store to add a drink after 20 mins of order. First the person answered the callwas rude and have no service intention. He was annoyed and dint even listening to me and informed me it will take another 40 mins for delivery. When the pizza arrived it was cold what was the point of ordering out and paying extra for delivery. It was a very bad experience and i wouldn't recommend this service for my enemy. Total dispointment.

I got the vegan pizza & it was lovely! Not super greasy & really tasty! This was my first time ordering papa John's & I'll definitely order again.

I've only ordered twice from this place but both times it was stellar. I've had PJ's in the US and this is so much better. I love how polite and quick the workers are. I will be back. Surpasses dominos and many of the local places. I hope ya'll continue with your stellar service.

Last night (24.7.2021) I oredered 2 large pizzas. A Garden Party and a Vegan Garden Party. I have ordered several times until now, but surely this will be the last one. On the vegan pizza I found a slice of salami. That is totally unacceptable for me. I had trust in this store, although have read so many bad reviews about it and other stores too, I was just feeling lucky to have a PJ's near to me that respects and understands customers' dietary requirements. I am sorry, you lost 2 customers now as I will never ever buy anything from you, because of that one tiny slice of salami one of the negligent employees have placed either accidentally (?!?) or on purpose on my pizza. Thanks a lot.

Dear Papa Johns. I have been a customer for a few years, on my last order there was toppings missing from my pizza. This was resolved by way of a free pizza added to my account by the manager. I've called up today to get that pizza just to be told there was no note on the system and the person I spoke with refused to allow me to speak to the manager. Thus was in the clerk street branch in Edinburgh. This is obviously unacceptable and I would just like the refund as I've been made to pay for good I didn't receive in contradiction to the consumer rights act 2015. Please contact me to resolve this matter

Pizza was dry and over cooked. Arrived cold. Asked for extra pizza sauce on base but was ignored. Only 2 slices were touched.. the rest went in the bin. Waste of money. Avoid this place. No quality control .

Great food for reasonable prices

Excellent 'The Works' pizza, with really tasty fresh dough and topping. Bacon cheese sticks were also lovely, but a little lacking on the bacon. Delivery was early too. Would certainly order again!

So bad for coeliacs, doesn’t make it clear that you can’t get the pizza gluten free and large. They refused to swap the pizza, or refund or anything. They were blunt and not understanding at all. Also the food we got that we could eat was pretty grim, soggy and undercooked. Not goin to papas again

I ordered papa johns, one of the side was Marmite® and Cheese Scrolls and it was completed over cooked, it is totally black and the taste was very very bitter, so on that Day I called back to the store to ask for a solution, they said they can redelivery the marmite and cheese scrolls for me. That day was a horrible weather heavy rain so I was trying to be a bit nicer and said that you could give me this free marmite and cheese scrolls for the next time when I ordered the papa johns again, there is no need to redelivery today because the weather was so bad. And they said great and thanks. Then I asked how could they know that I can have a free marmite and cheese scrolls next time when I ordered? they said I will note this down under your phone number and home address and next time when you order just let them know. So on Feb 13th, I was happy with this solution. when I order Papa johns again later and I totally explained the coversation above, the manager at newington store (Edinburgh) didn;t believe me and said they didnot find any note under my address or my phone, and he even said' I received so many calls everyday asking for free food'!!!' I was so angry that treated as a lier by him!!!! This marmite and cheese scrolls is only 5.49 £ and how could I being a lier for just this money???? I have been a loyalty papa johns members for more than 5 years and I normally ordered twice a month, how could I be a lier for just this 5.49£ side? How could your store manager treated a member like this? I was so angry and very disappointed that night and I really don't want to eat any papa johns, so I ask to cancel my order and again, he said, sorry I cannot do that.

Contactless delivery was not contactless, Pizza had minimal toppings, base and crust were nice but i counted a maximum of 8 bits of chicken, fewer and smaller bits of bacon. Lots of onion though! Very dissatisfied!

Appalling service - pizza arrived undercooked, soggy, sparse toppings and a disgusting amount of cheese on a base of barely any tomato sauce. We called up and got no answer - we were repeatedly ignored, which we know because they accidentally picked up to take the phone off the hook at one point and we could hear them talking in the background, then eventually hang up the phone when they thought we were gone. After trying again we eventually got through to someone who was extremely rude and told us he would get a supervisor - only to hang up on us and refuse to answer the phone again. Our pizza has gone in the bin and was a complete waste of money. Very disappointing and while not surprised by the quality of the pizza... shocked at customer service.

This is not a criticism of their food which may be very good for all I know but of their prices. I doubt if the ingredients for even the largest item on the menu cost more than £1.50 and despite staff cost plus gas, electricity, rent etc. should not cost more than a fiver.

Got a couple of pizzas from south clerk street/holyrood and the order was completely wrong and due to allergies My partner phoned and asked to get a refund but the manager was very rude to my partner on the phone claiming to not be able to give us a refund even though they weren’t edible! Absolute shocking and didn’t get resolved they told us to take the pizzas we got or just leave them and go away with nothing so we basically got bumped out of 22 pound!! Daylight robbery😡😡😡

I ordered a cheese, onion , mushroom and jalapenos, couldn't find mushrooms onions when I got home to eat, Golden Rule check before you leave to save disappointment, better than Dominos though but as I say check before leaving shop
