The best restaurants in Edinburgh and Lothian

I placed my first ever home-delivery with Thai 4U this evening and I will NEVER place another. The order awaited confirmation for ages then they just cancelled it with no explanation whatsoever. Disgusting behaviour and you have lost a new customer. If you were going to cancel you should have done it immediately so I could have made other arrangements already. Crap business, avoid!

Me and my partner ordered for the first time and we will absolutely be Ordering again. Easily the best Chinese we've ever had!!

Tuve un gran té de la tarde con mi madre aquí! El personal era encantador y la comida era deliciosa. Eran geniales para satisfacer los requisitos dietéticos, ya que soy celíaco, así que mi té de la tarde estaba completamente libre de gluten (el té de la tarde a la derecha en la imagen es mío). Recomendaría encarecidamente este lugar!

Delicious breakfast in original or vegetarian Friendly service and on days when pubs were still closed in the morning it was a great alternative for us

This is the first bad review I have ever written. The people are lovely but the somebody has redesigned the service system. It is the worst and most inefficient system I have ever seen. You will wait a v long time to get served. Somebody should take responsibility for this disaster.

Got the wrong milkshake and didn’t get a straw when I put it on the order. McCrispy also had no mayo

Consistently every time I come into the actual restaurant to order, they are more focused on the drive thru - it’s a long wait in the actual restaurant and this has never sped up.

Great value lunch set menu. Open everyday.

I would never recommend the Roast Beef Dinner - it was tasteless. The roast beef was not cooked in the ovens at Longniddry, it was prepackaged cooked beef, it looked like the sliced beef you buy pre sliced from the supermarket, not the lovely colour of freshly roast beef, like at a carvery and the Yorkshire pudding was from the freezer, bought in, all other customers Yorkshire’s were identical in shape and size, so a massive give away. I was looking forward to a really nice roast dinner but for just sort of £21, I was completely ripped off. And yes I told the waitress to pass this on but whether she does or not I don’t know

Pedí un panini con café. El panini estaba mal empaquetado y se cayó de la bolsa, que no era lo suficientemente grande para ello. Al agacharme para recogerla, derramé la mitad de mi “leche en el costado”. Como la cola era muy larga no me molesté en volver y quejarme, solo me comí el sándwich, esperando que no hubiera adquirido ningún microbio desagradable del suelo. Cuando me fui ya estaba más tranquilo, así que hablé con un miembro del personal, creo que se llamaba Debbie. Manejó las cosas magníficamente, como un diplomático experimentado – se disculpó encantadoramente, dijo que transmitiría los detalles de mi queja para asegurarse de que este tipo de cosas no volvieran a suceder, y me dio un café gratis y un bollo de canela – aunque no había pedido nada. Today I ordered the first time mix donner wrap kebab, the food was delicious fresh, the service very nice:) thank you and see you:)

We haven't eaten in a while in a pizza hut, and I can say I saw a huge difference. Pros The buffet of 20 British pounds was worth it. We ate a lot and was totally worth it. The quality of the food was impressive A lot of different pizzas and salads had so many options . The ice cream was a decent one for a machine made . Most of the staff were friendly except one guy was a bit stiff and abrupt Wasn't full, so we got seated fast. Plus, after a few mins, the store was full Cons The concept was a bit new to us Slow Internet connection.

Service very friendly and food so tasty. Hot and sour soup the best anywhere. Portion sizes also generous. Better than most in edinburgh.
