McDonald's in West Lothian

Took a while to get served. It felt like it took longer than normal to get our food. Don't get me wrong it wasn't a ridiculous amount of time, just longer than normal

21/02/25 After being asked to park the car we then have to wait 20min for the order to arrive. Several other people are also waiting but are given the incorrect orders so there taken back . My food arrived as I say 20min when we get it it’s freezing cold This is the worse McDonald’s in the world Get you house in order to pack up and move on .

Honestly I’m not normally one to write a bad review but I’m so fed up of this McDonald’s. I would willingly drive 20 minutes further out because this one never makes my order right. It’s never hot and something is always wrong. If I could rate less than 1 star I would.

Local Mcdonald restaurant. We went drive through. It was a quick service and good overall experience.

Told to park uo as u always do nowadays 35mins it took for 4 things food was also luke warm so much for fast food

Waited over 30 mins for a "fast" food. Really?? I cook faster than that. Nobody had the decency of letting us know that the food would be late or whatever. Poor management and worse customer service. But the orders for drive through and online orders kept flying out of the kitchen. Not recommendeded! I urge people to avoid this place if they ever want "fast" food.

Absolutely beyond a joke. Order 13 items and only received 4. Phone the store and got told there was nothing they could do.

Worst mcdonalds in West Lothian ordered a hot chocolate and it was spilled all over the bag and they constantly give out wrong orders, mongos

Usual experience, you know what to expect.

Great value for breakfast deal.

Drove thru for a quick coffee. Asked for a chocolate muffin and this was repeated back to us but given brownies and then told they didn't sell muffins. Not impressed

Clueless staff, long wait, burgers thrown together with wrong toppings, cold chips, weren't told when our order was ready to collect

Anyone who uses this McDonald’s knows it’s one of the worst . Staff are stupid and run about making a mess of everything . Ordered table service with young kids and after 25 mins had to leave young kids alone to ask what was going on and the food was sat there cold . Meanwhile 2 staff were cleaning trays so staff issues wasn’t the problem .

No staff interaction, food was cold, place was full of kids hiding in the toilets with their vapes.

35 min wait. Stuff missing from order. Hangry people everywhere. Kids crying. Poor attitude from all staff.

Ordered via the online app, food came out slightly cold and very greasy compared to normal McDonald's food. Significant delay between arriving and food being brought out.

Just had a delivery from Livingston was charged £24 and half missing. Phoned Livingston drive through and was told it was nothing to do with them. My order was on McDonald’s and delivered by my mac delivery. Phoned and when asked to speak with manager they cut me off. Thieving robbing shower can’t be bothered to speak with me. LAST TIME I USE THEM FOR A TAKEAWAY.

I'm 100% positive this is the worst mcdonalds in scotland. Honestly think these never get an order right. So tonight ordered 2 big tasty meals how you forget to put fries in is beyond me like read the order surely it's printed on a bit paper. I've lost count how many time this place forgets orders surely higher management looking at the amount of refunds they must send out everyday.

This is the WORST Mcdoanlds in history. When they can actually be bothered to make and send your order out it’s always cold, looks like it’s been thrown together and without fail there is always items missing. How hard can it be to read a ticket and check those items are in a bag?? But today they really took the cake, placed a breakfast order at 10:30 and at 11:01 for a text to say they have cancelled the order. Why even accept an order for breakfast if it’s just going to be cancelled as soon as it hits 11am? Absolute nonsense.

Horrible staff, no organisation of work, always missing items specially dips, worst McDonald's I have ever used.

3rd time this has happened in a year, at the drive thru and delivery. Very long wait, over an hour at times to then be given wrong order or stone cold food!! Went down hill since bringing delivery service in. Last time I will ever order from McDonald’s again

They charge you for using the car park whilst sitting in McDonalds eating your meal. Currently dealing with Debt Collectors to try and appeal the fine.

I don't why l there chips where cold and hard . The sweet chilli wrap was cold . The wrap was brick hard . The drive thru is terrible.

All of there chocolate milkshakes r good. Chips r gr8 also, I have been goin 2 McDonald's now for 25 years. I meet Ronald McDonald in there when I was younger GR8 times well done 😃 I think also now a days customising on a screen is so much better easier & quicker. Sometimes if it's a little bit too noisy the people can't hear u. Probably in recent times I just think that the flavour isn't as good as it used. It definitely doesn't test anywhere near like it 20 years ago. Nowadays I think it's a copout & predictable to go there. The last 4 or 5 times I have been to any McDonald's. I have waited so much longer than I thought I would for my food.

This was absolutely atrocious, I tried ordering on the app and it would work. So I then went in and had to order on the screen, after putting my order in I had to wait 20mins for a happy meal all while the staff are running around prioritising the delivery orders. I mean come on its a happy meal, it's doesn't take long to make one of them. All while the queue inside was getting longer with more disgruntled customers as there was no one serving and no one to take a query. When they evenly decided to bring out the food I was met with such an unpleasant and poorly mannered person that was very rude. The food was barely warm but figuring that I had just waited 20mins for a happy meal I wasn't waiting any longer. As for the atmosphere, well it's safe to say that everyone else was just as disgruntled as I was. It shouldn't take that long to bring out the food and they should be making more of an effort to serve the customers in store and have more than one till open. Since they "upgraded" it has no went down hill, it has plummeted in every aspect. Including the standard of food, the service, the cleanliness and overall atmosphere. I would NOT recommend this place.

Always very poor compared to other McDonald’s. Burgers slapped together without any care. And no onions on the double cheeseburgers.

This McDonald’s never has milkshakes whenever we order online or go through the drive through. Also took 2 1/2hrs for s delivery last Friday afternoon. Worst McDonald’s ever.

Another time when the food ordered at McDonald's in Livingston is not complete. This time two portions of large fries were missing from both meals. How many times can I have it, I am tired of having to ask for something all the time...

I don't eat McDs very often, but this is the second times they haven't put fries in when I've ordered a meal. And they never put in the dip that's supposed to come with sides like the cheese melts. Once I even got the completely wrong order. I need to start checking my order before I leave the window as it feels like it's wrong every single time.

You need to train your staff on how to make a hot chocolate. Livingston drive thru is the only restaurant to serve brown water as a hot chocolate. Disgusting! Hot chocolate should either be made with hot milk or a mixture of hot milk/water with the chocolate powder. Yet this branch are adamant that it's a water based drink. The manager needs to go to bathgate or Queensferry to be shown how to make it correctly. Translucent brown water as can be seen when I put it in a glass.

Food cold. 30 minute wait and a half cup of cold coffee

so i came here to order "fast food". what I didn't get was any food as it took the person who said the food be ready in "2 minutes" if you go to a parking bay and wait!! well I waited and this McDonald's has a cheek to even call it self a fast food restaurant as i waited nearly half a hour in the parking bay. and nobody showed up with any food which is quite ridiculous and nobody came out of the restaurant to explain the delay. luckily I still had the receipt so could get a refund. I find the customer service in this restaurant is pretty poor and I recommend if you want to get served in here its better to go inside the restaurant to order then sitting outside, waiting and waiting and waiting for nobody to come out and even say something like, apologies' you're food will be ready in 5 or 10 minutes or longer. instead of letting customers just seat and wait for nothing. but there's my rant over.

Ordered 1930 Phoned 2130 Due to late and un trained 10year old answered Tried cancelling and told I couldn't asked if I could collect and tild I couldn't APP said delivered at 2310 and time was only 2230 with NO food arrival Absolute joke of a place needs closed down Who the he'll manages this place, they need sacked

Getting sick of being asked to park up, 1 hair meal for my daughter and can you please take a space, I thought it's meant to be a drive through the clue is in the name.....

I i’m just disappointed that’s all I can say. I am so appalled about the service I got the worker was screaming at me and she spilt the drink on purpose and then said I’m so sorry but if you want another drink, you’ll have to pay and if you leave a yelp review, I will find you. I am appalled . I could Not sleep for days. I am so sad. This is how places value their customers now.

After a legnthy wait in the drive through What is the point in you checking what you ordered when your paying when they can't check what they give you, i have lost count the amount of times they mess up an order. A shambles of a place.

Can be hit and miss in terms of waiting time. Started with 4 stars but dropped to 3 as they didn't have milkshakes and I had to suffer an hours drive with my hungover wife whining about it. Edit again. They revamped the restaurant in 2024 and now the service is laughable. Been a bunch of times (I have kids so not through total choice) and every single time there is a problem, usually the ridiculous amount of time it takes them to get your food. Not just us, people hanging around complaining, moaning at how bad it is. It's actually quite an achievement to make a fast food restaurant so slow.

Had to wait 30 minutes for the milkshake machine to be fixed, which was a continual *won’t be a minute*. Just tell me it’ll take half an hour and I’ll have some cokes instead!!

Went to the drive through this morning, very busy, so expected a wait, ordered, paid and told to park as they needed to make the wraps, so we park and wait and wait, one young girl (clueless , in and out with orders and couldn’t find the cars ) so after 20 minutes, we go inside to ask about our order to be asked by another clueless young girl what we had ordered, so again I told her our order and she disappeared, then other drive thru customers were coming in , again after a long wait and these people who had wait far less than us were served, so then I asked where my order was, as I’d waited almost 40 minutes by this time, to be asked by a different young girl what my order was, so I asked for refund and left. Absolute diabolical service and clueless staff, never ever again

This has got to be one of the worst units in the chain. Definitely lack of leadership, waited 20 mins for a simple breakfast order, sat at the collection window for 10 mins only to be told to park up! Colleagues look like they have no directions inside and wandering about aimlessly. Fast food? I think not.

Very crowded, mess, staff too busy, the size of the restaurant is too small for the large number of customers, insufficient staff for the large number of orders.

Service and staff attitude is shocking. Lackluster would be pushing it. People waiting over 30 minutes for “fast” food. Seems to take priority over Just eat orders rather than people eating in. Won’t be back.

Filthy. Son ordered a desert and was given something completely different .Queried it and was told they had ran out of what we ordered. Genuinely don't know why people use McDonald's.

8 McNuggets not 9 (must be too difficult to count to) and no dipping sauce again on delivery, and no straws for the drinks. How do McDonald's Livingston ALWAYS manage to screw up delivery orders?

Worst McDonald's I've ever been to.

Waited 45 minutes for my food which didn’t arrive since apparently it went to the “in store” branch despite it being closed when i ordered my food, and saying otherwise on my receipt. The manager referred me to the other store, seemingly unaware it was closed, and was no help at all. After visiting this branch before, even when the food does arrive, there is more often than not something wrong with the order anyway. Poor service and unhelpful staff, will not return😁

15 min wait after paying at drive through. Food cold when brought out. Dips ordered not in bag. Drinks not filled up. Really poor.

We only got 4 chicken nuggets when we ordered 6, drinks weren't full, food was lukewarm, staff was very distracted and unbothered, we didn't get part of our order, we easily waited 30 minutes for all this and I nearly started crying when I was handed a lukewarm bag of food. Drive through. Cold chips. Completely wrong burger that I can’t eat. Most basic thing messed up!!! Overcrowded car park with lots of customers parked on double yellow lines making entry dangerous due to cars on wrong side of road.

Every time we go there we wait 30 min for our food, no matter what we order. And today was even cold. The manager told me they can not even replace the food because they are not outarised to do so This is disgraceful for a fast food chain. If you want to waste your time and money go there. Shaved head and very dedicated. was the best macdonalds i’ve had in years, Tasted like the first time my mom let me have macdonalds. Fresh, hot fries, a beautiful double cheeseburger and wonderful ice to soda proportion for my diet coke. Please provide me with this persons details so i can send a personalised message detailing my gratitude.

Always the longest wait for food of any McDonalds I've ever been in. They concentrate more on drive-through than customers in store.

Terrible McDonald's. DO NOT ORDER FOR DELIVERY. My address is literally half a mile away, yet they take an hour to deliver and it is stone cold. Waste of money. Never again!

Good food and reasonably quick service. Clean and tidy - but disappointingly, each time I've been in to this particular McDonalds, there are many young folks using foul language and not clearing up their mess.

Always as in literally always runs out of milk shake and frappe. Today ran out of spicy burger. Something that is advertised in almost every social media platform and media. It's a disgrace the way this outlet is run. Unfortunately, I have to use this outlet every weekend as this is the only drive through available in my area and it breaks my heart every weekend to come home and deliver the news to my young kids that McDonald's have run out again of their favourite items.

The staff is very disrespectful towards the delivery drivers and we are very disappointed to see that the manager as well. Drivers were saying they were waiting for more than half an hour the food is not ready and the manager said you have to wait otherwise cancel your order. It’s totally not a McDonald policy the staff should be efficient and well behaved

Placed an order through the app. Staff were friendly as normal when I collected, received our order and left. Opened the bag to find a half eaten burger with teeth marks in it. Drove back to be greeted with the most unprofessional “manager” I’ve ever come across who called me a liar saying his staff wouldn’t do that. He then went on to imply I was clearly after something 🤣 think you guys need to check your CCTV, someone’s a hungry little critter in that kitchen 🤢

Been ordering delivery from here for 2 years now and 90% of the time they forget to put in the sweet chilli sauce and other sauces.

This mcdz appeared to be short staffed. Too many drive through customers for the guys to draw with, leaving the front desk customers waiting a ridiculous about of time

How do they do it ? 1- Burgers on their pictures look decent , but they arrive looking like they have been regurgitated by a seagull 2 - They cook the fries only to magically refreeze them as they are delivered to you 3 - you can't complete your order until you select your dips , even though they have no intention of including them in your order 4 - Drive thru fast food , REALLY!!! should be drive thru take a space food eventually 5 - Always make atleast one item vanish from your home delivery Well done McDonald's 👏

Yet again missing an item from my order, this is consistent issue with this branch in particular, especially with orders over £30. Food was cold on arrival and my coffee was stone cold.

Slowest service in a McDonald's experienced in the last 30 years anywhere in the world. And we were the only customers! 0700hrs Saturday 31st August 2024.

Hate giving bad reviews but this restaurant continued to disappoint. Even after a new refurb and working kitchen system my food is Always semi warm and of late my burgers have been thrown together.

McDonalds, like you know and love. Service can be slow depending on how busy it is, but you'll get your stuff. Atmosphere again is dependent on how busy the premises are.

Do not order on just eat from this restaurant as I placed an order which never turned up and then replaced and food still does not turn up

This is a very busy restaurant, they need to expand the drive thru space. Fast service tho.

We're given the wrong drinks first, then our milkshakes were too full, they were overflowing out the lids.

Me and my boyfriend just went through the drive through, asked for our meal, requested if we could add cheese to our wraps, and was met with such a rude and blunt response ‘No sorry.’ And we’re given no explanation as to why not. I feel as someone who’s worked in customer service, this isn’t an appropriate response, and there are better ways to go about it. Also to top this off we were also given the wrong wrap too. Not ideal experience after we’ve been driving for hours

Foolish of me to order for a delivery a third time when they messed up the order the first two times but thought third time lucky, surely they can't get it wrong again. Everything we ordered was on the receipt, wrong burgers and items missing from the bag when it arrived. Spent £50 for a family of 5 and £20 worth of food was missing. Phoned them and was told to organise a refund from just eat which will take a few days. This was the Whitburn McDonald's.

Food is made fresh and hot... Service is quick and always somewhere to sit

Check your orders, my last 3 visits, there was always something missing that was paid for, only spotted when I got home! My fault for not checking while there. Shouldn't need to though.
