Placed an order on the website, 15 minutes later got a text to say order cancelled with no reason. Tried phoning and number no longer in use. Presumably Thai 4 U is no longer in business. So why is the website still up and running?

Placed an I order, after 1.5 hours messaged to say it was cancelled. Tried previous to this to call several times as I was charged on their web site. Won’t be coming back

Used to absolutely love Thai 4 U. Since they’ve changed name/cuisine style, the food isn’t anywhere near as nice. No Thai prawn crackers anymore, just regularly Chinese ones. My massaman curry (which I used to adore!) was inedible with how salty it was and the only flavour was that it was loaded with curry powder. Wildly disappointing, couldn’t even finish it.

Purchased food before and enjoyed, however in this instance, placed an order and paid however the funds were returned within 10 minutes. Tried to phone the restaurant but no answer despite showing as open on Google. Very disappointed.

Ordered chicken massaman waited over an hour, beef massaman arrived! Phoned and was promised correct order would be there in twenty minutes, phoned again after 35 minutes was told order there in 5 minutes finally arrived 20minutes later. Nothing to write home about, don’t bother ordering from here!!

Hands down the worst Thai food I've ever had. Ordered at 715 and 2 hours later we received stone cold and bland food, not to mention extremely tiny portions. The duck was soggy, the rice was sticky, chips were frozen and undercooked, the wings had more bone than meat. Tried to phone a few times but no answer. 1 star is kind

Had a few takeaways from here in the last 6 months, delivery has always been super speedy and food tasty. Only things we didn’t like were pork belly and salt&chilli chips which were both WAY too salty, but the red curry is our favourite! So tasty and authentic!

Ordered food at 19:40 did not arrive until 21:10 and was freezing cold. Phoned the restaurant but no answer. Avoid at all costs.

We ordered online, was a treat for son's birthday, by the time food arrived it was cold, we re-heated in the oven and then proceeded to have our meal. This was nothing like our previous experience where the food was really tasty and flavoursome, this time it was bland and really unappealing, ended up throwing about 70% away. Won't be revisiting here!!

Green curry is very tasty. Pad Thai noodles and pork belly are also good.

First try of this tonight, pre-ordered for 6pm delivery, few mins late but no complaints. Not the hottest in the world but red curry and massaman curry were really tasty. Will be back!

This is not Thai food, more of a weird Chinese fusion. All the sauces tasted the same, just different level of spices, gross. And greasy!

after ordering my meal and it arriving (delivered may I add )within 15 min i was surprised if it was going to be any good and sadly my suspicion was right, small portions, chicken like jelly, very poor quality . called to complain and was only offered 20% off my next order and you can get 15% off their website. very poor and won’t be back

Truly awful delivery experience, late , soup was inedible , then prawns were luke warm in the main course , excuse was that they were a driver short , but this is not the first time ! When they first opened they were excellent now genuinely terrible, never ordering again .

Ordered food from here today Was advised 1 hour but 2 hours 45mins later still waiting. If too busy then should not keep taking orders. Very poor service. Would not recommend. Absolutely atrocious. NEVER AGAIN WORST SERVICE EVER

Tom yum soup ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Chicken satay skewers ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beef massaman curry ⭐⭐ The starters were absolutely amazing. Chicken cooked absolutely perfectly and the soup has loads of flavour. Massaman curry was a bit bland for me and I wasn't keen on the consistency (sorry). Overall 4/5 really fresh ingredients and cooked perfectly. Will definitely come back and try a different main course next time. Pad Thai and the duck red curry both look amazing. Looking forward to that next time. Thanks!

We ordered here for the first time after receiving a leaflet through the door and the food is exceptionally good. The food is fresh and the veg has a bite to it which differs greatly from similar takeaways in the surrounding area. Restaurant quality without the plate. Without doubt I'm sure this is going to be our new takeaway. Staff also are friendly and polite. All round 10/10!

Delicious takeaway bursting with flavours tonight! It was delivered at super speed too!! No idea how they managed it but only took 15 mins to deliver even although the estimated time was an hour.

I love my Thai food , always go to Edinburgh or Glasgow for a meal , decided to try this takeaway, i had the chicken tom yum and the massam curry both delicious , quick delivery too , well impressed

Dreadful food the noodles with onion and bean shoots were like boiled rather than wok cooked and the curry was like soup it was so thin!!!

Absolutely love the food from here, we've recently transitioned to a plant based diet and love their vegetarian/vegan food, especially their salt and spicy tofu, delicious 😋

So disappointed after reading some of the reviews. The food was overall bland,rubbery and overcooked. I make my own Thai dishes and have been to many Thai restaurants.Wont be going back to this one.

Ignore the reviews about delivery times as this doesn't reflect anything other than how popular they are. If you love Thai food, as someone who spent 8 years in Asia and been to Thailand many times, this is the best and most authentic food I've had the pleasure of eating since coming back. To be honest, I'd happily wait an hour for Thai For U as it's made fresh and with care. With plenty to choose from on the menu, both meat eaters and vegetarians will be happy.

Amazing! This was my first order here and the food was delicious! I love Thai food and the flavours took me back to Bangkok. Was plenty to eat with generous portions. I would certainly recommend and this will become my favourite place to order!

Just had my second meal from Thai for U and I had to leave a review. Its a Saturday night and going by reviews where delivery can take awhile, we ordered earlier (just after 5pm) It arrived with in the hour. (the first time I ordered it took around an hour and half) I love Thai food and know what I like and what to expect. I use to live in Edinburgh and have had have to almost every Thai restaurant in in Edinburgh and have tired all there Thai green curry. Thai for U Thai green curry is restaurant quality, pretty spicy but that is the way it should be. Also had the Spicy seafood glass noodles salad. So fresh and light with authentic Thai flavours. Highly recommended it.

Food mostly good. However, got a 60 minute ETA when ordering. Food arrived after 130 minutes. Almost starved to death. Won't be ordering delivery again.

The biggest problem at Thai4U is the one highlighted elsewhere. Despite pre-ordering online, I was still left to wait in the street with others (one woman's pre-order was 40 minutes late), whilst others waited in their cars. Street food service in Bangkok and across Thailand is usually slow as it's normally one person cooking with one wok so meals are only made one at a time. I'd hope that's not the case here but given the long wait times? Otherwise food was fresh and tasty but not a patch on the real thing or even on Ting-Tang caravan or Thai Dusit in Edinburgh. Won't rush back but if you've not been to Thailand before, then you'll probably enjoy more than I did.

Eaten from here 3 times and very good new option for carry out in mid calder. Thai not chinese style outlet so khao neow som tam etc gr8. Eat when fresh and hot to enjoy the food at its best. Dumplings pork skewers satay sticks good starters and mains like red duck curry, massaman, pad kraprao. Bit heavy on salt but will return

Tasty, authentic Thai food. Ordered on Friday night, arrived within the hour as they said. A cut above the Chinese take-aways in the area and worth the extra cost. The starters were super tasty, green curry was bang on. Fresh, hot and fragrant.

Delicious food delivered quickly. We ordered and had our food within 40 minutes. Chicken satay was incredible, as was the pork belly and the chicken wings - super crispy! The massaman and pad Thai were also delicious. We’re so glad to have this on our doorstep, as we’ve not found a takeaway we love since moving out this way. Really great food.

Firstly it is great to have a Thai restaurant in the area. The food is reasonably good but just not spicy enough. The downside is the time for meals to be cooked. An hour for collection and then a 15 min wait in the shop. The portion sizes are fairly small and the food was far from piping hot. I’m hoping that these are only start up teething problems and that things will improve in the near future. I will definitely try again as I hope this venture is successful and a diversification of cuisine is much needed in the area.

Ordered from here for the first time last night and the food was good, great to finally have a Thai takeaway in the area. We ordered online for delivery and it was very straightforward. I immediately received a text confirming the order number and an estimated ETA of 90 minutes and the food was delivered by a very friendly driver within 10 minutes of this which we were very happy with. We enjoyed both our starters and mains. The Panang was hotter than expected but full of flavour and very tasty. Would happily order from here again.

Delivery was super fast, within 30 minutes. Food was hot. The food, although lovely, didn't have the authentic Thai taste I would have expected. The Papaya salad had the chilli kick but lacked the flavour you get in a restaurant. The crispy pork belly could have been crispier but was still enjoyable and the Stir Fry Tofu in Basil and Chilli was lovely. The Jungle Curry with Chicken certainly had a chilli kick however the chicken tasted reheated and not freshly cooked. Overall, the food was OK but nothing special and not the fragranced Thai meal we had hoped for. Something was definitely lacking in the taste. Tasty enough but no wow factor. I really hope they can work on this as Livingston badly needs a good Thai restaurant/takeaway.

Ordered 12th December 2020 at 18:52 , received a text saying it’ll be 105 minutes, ETA 20:39. I thought it was a bit long but it may be worth the wait. After 33 calls to check if my delivery was going to be on time or should I collect I jumped in the car and arrived at 20:50. The order hadn’t even been processed. The counter staff were apologetic, refunded my delivery fee and said it would be 10 minutes. I suggested they update their customers in ETA and get more phone lines but it fell on deaf ears, just “we’ll pass that to the management”. I left at 21:20 and took the order home. One part was wrong, the other was half full. I jumped back in the car and returned it. They said they’d get the management to refund it through the website but I demanded a refund there and then. During my first and subsequent visits orders were being refunded or cancelled. The wait is ridiculous and the kitchen isn’t fulfilling orders to a high standard. The food that was right tasted good but needed to be re-heated...and that was seemingly just cooked.

Was amazing ordered Friday night and it was about an hour (was advised.it would be this long). Had thai fish cakes they were massive and very tasty. Had beef penang that was also amazing

Ordered food on Frid 11th Dec 7pm, was told it would be one hour. It eventually arrived 3 hours later and after we had tried numerous times to cancel on phone. Phone had been taken off hook. When it finally did arrive ( £70 worth of food) we told delivery guy we no longer wanted it as we by this time had received delivery from a local Chinese who delivered in 40 mins. No apology and now have to claim back money from credit card. Just so inconvenient and very disappointed nobody called to advise they were having difficulties in getting orders out. We may then have given them a chance and just waited. Hopefully this will be addressed and we can try again in future.

We heard a new Thai place had opened and just happened to be passing by so dropped in to give it a try. We went for the Massaman curry with beef and a prawn Pahd Ke Moaw (drunken noodles). Both were amazing and full of flavour. The Massaman was delicious and pretty close to the one we love from Tannon in StAndrews. The drunken noodles were fantastic with a good variety of ingredients and a nice fiery kick to the fragrant sauce. Looking forward to trying some other dishes very soon! This is definitely well above your run of the mill takeaway. We did notice some poor reviews which seems to be mainly down to long delivery times and whilst this must be frustrating, don't let these put you off before trying for yourself.

After nearly a 3 hour wait our food finally arrived! We tried to call over one hundred times but the line was constantly engaged. We were so looking forward to trying this new takeaway but I don’t think we will ever use it again. When it eventually arrived it was cold and distinctly underwhelming. For £45.00 I would have expected so much more. Never again!

Ordered a take away/ delivery at 640 pm tonight. It’s now 9.05 pm and still don’t have any food! SHOCKING SERVICE!!! BEWARE

So, we spotted this new place as we were out a walk. Down sides were it took 2 hours for a delivery. I even called a few times to chase it up. However when it did finally come wow! Some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had out of London. Can highly recommend the massaman curry and the satay. Everything we had was superb. Normally we have leftovers from a take out. Not tonight we all shared and kept sharing until it was all gone. We will definitely be going back to try more of the menu. Only thing I would say is sort out the delivery timings and maybe invest in a better way of keeping the food warmer when it’s out for delivery. But all that aside, Thai for you, thanks for a great meal.

Ordered food at 5.50pm arrived nearly 3 hrs later at 8.40pm. No apology we couldn’t even get through to them on the phone as they had taken the phone off the hook. Portion sizes were tiny for the price. On a plus the food was tasty however for the price and the wait times I probably won’t go back unless they sort out the delivery process and make the portion sizes bigger.

Very disappointed with it, food, portions were insufficient for the money. Also quality was far from impressive, first & last time we will eat here.

Was very much looking forward to this, as me and my girlfriend are big fans of Thai food and Livingston not having any thing would of been perfect. But. The food was not up to standards, we ordered a Thai green curry which was split and very watery. Fishcakes that were actually pretty nice, the crispy chicken "Thai" style which honestly was horrendous, the chicken was dry and not great and to be perfectly honest I'm not sure what was Thai about it. With that I also don't think it's great value, the portions not being a great size, the green curry not being full and only having 3 fishcakes for the price didn't feel good for a takeaway. I really hope this place can get better but guess we'll see.
