Had a fantastic meal, highly recommended. I am Thai and I can say that the food is very authentic and excellent. Very impressed. Highly recommended and will be returning again soon!

First time at this restaurant after it being recommended to me. Food tasted delicious and service was efficient. Portion sizes are good although i would have preferred a little more rice. Prices are very reasonable for what you get id say. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

Excellent quality and value for money. Plenty of choice. Reasonable priced. Ambiance is really nice and suitable for surroundings.

AVOID !!! Went home with my collection order to RAW chicken satays. Phoned up to inform them as me and my partner already ate some and request a refund as it put me off eating anything else from my order and got nothing but cheek from the manager. Told them I wouldn’t be back for the manager to reply ‘I don’t want you to come back, goodbye’ and hung up the phone. Was told I can microwave the chicken to cook them?? 💀 .. went back down and took them a good 15 minutes to decide if I get a refund or not .. the customer service from the manager was awful and 100% wouldn’t recommend!! Please share!

Great setting, and atmosphere! The staff were very attentive and friendly! The menu had good deals and plenty of choices. Espically for people like me, who are vegetarian! Definitley a great place if you like asian food, with different spices and varations. Michael

Sunday lunch, very quiet, not surprisingly the service was good. Small food portions and flavours below expectation, the menu descriptions did not match our experience. Egg fried rice included a hair, the side dish was promptly replaced. Rice did not taste fresh and was stodgy. After reading all the glowing reviews we were left disappointed.

Two couples visiting fora a few days & decided to try this restaurant after looking at Google & TripAdvisor reviews. We were not disappointed, the decor is very nice & clean and the staff were friendly & attentive. The food was excellent in quality & flavour but we felt the portions were slight on the small side. The wine was very reasonably priced & the dessert cocktails were delicious, and again very well priced. Well worth a visit. Only got photos of the starters as we were too busy enjoying the meal to remember & take more.

It was a delight to dine at Sabannga's. The staff were so welcoming and attentive. We will be back.

Well what can I say the food is amazing and very good price I loved it definitely going back and getting take away 10 out of 10 well done. Ps it's better to reserve a table

Stood for 30 minutes waiting for take away , and Penang was a poor Chinese version. Lovely green curry though.

First time visit for us for a late lunch and both food and service were fantastic. It was very quiet, which was a real shame as this place should be a regular for anyone who's local. We'll definitely be back!

Wow, this was good. I asked for Thai spicy papaya salad and it did not disappoint.

Because I have eaten at this restaurant before, I recommended it to friends for a carry out. The food was ready when I arrived (I was 5 mins early) However, we were extremely disappointed with the quality of the food. The sticky rice was inside a plastic bag inside the plastic container . It was a very small portion and it was so dense it had to be sliced. However it tasted awful and was thrown out. Of the five main meals we ordered, only one was a decent sized portion. We had to hunt for the meat and vegetables, though the flavours were very nice. The pad thai was an unusual salmon pink colour. I gave it wide berth.

We had takeaway from Sabannga on New Year's Eve. The food was beautiful. We will definitely be back - looking forward to the opening for dining in! Update: we have dined in several times now, and the food and service are both excellent.

The meal was wonderful!! Service was quick and the food came out fast. Great restaurant and super tasty food! Can’t wait to come back and try more :)

Visited here for lunch with friends and we were all very impressed. Friendly staff, excellent menu and good sized portions of lovely Thai food, what's not to love ! We all ordered different and individually impressed with our choices. Highly recommended and we look forward to visiting again soon.

Without a doubt the best restaurant we visited in a long, long time! We were blown away by the food and the service. We couldn’t fault any of the dishes and can’t wait to go back!

Fresh food, could be a little more generous with the rice portions. Can get very warm in the evenings as it's so packed out

We love sabannga! We have now been more times than we can count and love it. Value for money, delicious food and the Thai family that run it are just fab. We aren’t long back from 2 weeks in Thailand and we feel like we are back in our hols. Thank you team sabannga, we will see you again soon!

While i don t doubt that the staff that greeted us on arrival are Thai people the food coming out of the kitchen definately was not. The restaurant was recommended to us and we drove 45 min. each way full of expectations.What a disappointment !! The tom yum soup were fairly average but my beef dish was missing to my judgement ant soy sauce or any fish sauce and i could not taste any ginger or Thai basil. Very very poor apology for a pad kra pao. My wife was not impressed too with the panang chicken very bland curry sauce. Last but not least the Som tam salad was devoid of any freshness and zest. Whao it could not have been any worst. Sorry guys but only your friendly service was the positive note of the night Regards

Tucked away amongst a housing estate, I found it by chance online whilst browsing for Thai restaurants. 3 of us had 3 courses, each one was delicious and tge price was fantastic for the quality and quantity of the food. Waiting staff were also super friendly. Will definitely be back.

My wife enjoyed her dish. Whenever we go, it's usually too spicy for her, so you did well.

Just keeps getting better and better this is about the fifth time we have been to this restaurant and the food is so excellent and highly recommended the only small point is the decor which isn’t reflective of the food

I’m Thai . I would like to recommend the authentic Thai food this is amazing local restaurant Pad Thai Red curry Green curry and many more dishes.

The food was excellent with plenty of choice on the menu. The food surpassed our expectations. It was well presented and full of flavour. The staff were attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was good. Every table to was full! We'll definitely be back.

We love going to Sabanga. The food is always so tasty and so fresh. There's lots of choice and plenty of vegetarian options. Definitely worth a visit!

Not just the worst Thai, but worse food I've ever eaten. These good reviews must be from people that have no clue about Thai food. Flavourless, poor quality ingredients and poor service. Poor energy in the space too. Really disappointed.

Loved the Chicken Satay starter and then the Thai Chicken Green Curry and Jasmine rice mmmm The black pepper side of chips lovely too x

Amazing food, you definitely need to try

The food in this restaurant is amazing. I had prawns for starter and seriously could not finish my main because I was too full. The main was a Thai green curry which comes in various degrees of spicy. I opted for Thai hot and boy was it hot. Not to the point where you couldn’t taste though, it was just the best curry I have ever had.

Fantastic service compliments the absolutely delicious fresh food. A total taste sensation at very affordable prices. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone. New menu has taken the place to a new level.

We now do not have to travel into Edinburgh for our Thai fix as we have found the perfect Thai restaurant. No complaints whatsoever and we are regular visitors and will be booking again as soon as their back from vacation. Give it a try as I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Amazing Northern Thai dishes. Whole family enjoyed the experience...I was absolutely delighted with the "Tom Yum king prawn" soup. Pretty hot but brilliant. 5 * all round.

Lovely place, just a street up from the railway station in Uphall. Deceptively large inside, with lovely decor. The service was friendly and efficient and I didn't have long to wait for my food. I had the chicken with coconut milk soup followed by a massaman curry and coconut rice. I really enjoyed the meal and look forward to going back soon ! I arrived by 5.30pm and over the next hour it got very busy. They seemed to have lots of bookings later too. Reasonably priced too, for the quality and quantity of food that I had. Definitely worth a visit ! 👍

We really enjoyed our meal at Sabannga. Popped in to order a takeaway but asked if they had any tables free and we were in luck so sat in for our meal. Fantastic flavours and ingredients in every dish. The tempura prawns and vegetable starters were delicious. The fruity duck curry was a delight and the slightly spicier mixed seafood stir-fry was bursting with flavour. Staff couldn't be any more helpful and we look forward to a swift return to try some of the other options on the menu. Great restaurant and highly recommend to try it out.

Food is so delicious good size portions, so friendly and welcoming, good prices. Would like chop sticks but I’m sure they are available on request, I just thought they would be a the table.

Got a takeaway so can't comment on the sit in experience. But speedy service, nice friendly staff and lovely food. The green veg curry with tofu has a subtle heat and is very tasty. The tempura is light and delicious. Well worth visiting.

BEST THAI FOOD EVER. Stopped in Uphall for the night before our flight out of Scotland and super glad we did. Friendly service, nice ambiance and the food was amazing. I got the Singapore noodles. So good. Wish we could go back on the regular, but we live in the US.

Overall we enjoyed, not real Thai food though.... think more chinese Thai inspired, like you would buy from a good Chinese takeaway. Was given the wrong wine, not a biggy, i love all wine lol but wife was served nuts after explaining she had an allergy, close call. Would I return for Thai food? Nope but if I fancied a nice Chinese with a twist maybe. Very cheap for what we got. Great wee place for a quick family meal if the service was quicker

Just had a delicious meal here with my boyfriend. Excellent service and very friendly staff, especially from our server Jeng who was extremely kind and attentive. Looks like he loves his job too which is great to see. ☺️ The food was full of flavour with a perfect balance of spices. We both had the pork honey ribs and then a Thai red curry for main. Great value for money too! We had 2 starters, mains with sticky rice, 2 vodkas and 2 Singha beers for only £60. Will definitely be back again soon! Hidden gem in Uphall 😍

All those big fancy places to dine in Edinburgh however this beats them all handa down the food is absolutely delicious and the service is amazing i dont even go into town now. 😋

First time eating here and we will definitely be back. Had chicken satay skewers to start which are the best ive had. Had seabass and my husband had steak with hot spice. Both meals were excellent. Very reasonably priced too. Would highly recommend.

4 of us went for a birthday celebration and we enjoyed all of the food. We all ordered different starters and mains so we could share and taste a few dishes. They were all amazing and the service is lovely.

The staff is very friendly and very good to talk to. The food is fantastic. We loved our starters, stir-fry and curries. Good veggie options. They provide a choice of 4 spice levels.

Food is top notch, we dont know Thai food well enough so we go safe (the Duck main dishes are superb) but we will experiment... Service is good, the girls are very attentive and the guys are pleasantly humble which is quite endearing. Atmosphere could be worked on but its early days and if your in good company, all the boxes get ticked. Pricewise very reasonable, been twice and wont hesitate in recommending or going back.

I ordered from takeout options. Must say when I got home I was a little disappointed in the portion size. However on reflection portion was adequate . Food was really good and service was as expected on time. I’ll be ordering again.

Drove for 15 minutes to order takeaway, to be told they can’t do takeaway as they are busy. If you can’t offer the service at any and all times don’t offer it at all. Very disappointed
