Mcdonald's Restaurant in Edinburgh, City of

Food was good as is normally, service is quick. Atmosphere is about as much as you get from a fast food restaurant.

Place is busy af and one of there own staff tried to take my phone THERE OEN STAFF!!! luckily my friend said something as I was ordering my stuff. There is also no toilets in the McDonalds you need to pay 50p just to go!!!

Food was cold when I received it and customisation instructions weren’t followed. Kiosk didn’t print receipt and was very laggy. Blonde haired manager was more interested talking to her friend rather than help her struggling team who were on pending orders in kitchen and on the front of house. Place was engulfed with Delivery drivers lingering around the area where the employees need to exit to do Table Service causing a blockage. Store toilets are disgusting despite you needing to use a pin-code to enter them. Customer Hosts are lovely and try to be attentive. However as soon as I had finished I had my rubbish taken away instantly and that felt like my queue to leave.

Order a BBQ crispy rap with chips and it came cold the only thing I enjoyed was the juice, rude people and rude customers too not the best place to go my chips look like they were cooked over a over again no happy

Went here today for a little lunch before a long shopping day🛍️I usually don't like burgers at all, but well done McDonald's👏I loved my burger! It's very rare for me to like a burger, especially a fast food burger 🥰Very tasty and hot. Chips were delicious as always, super crispy and warm. 🍟Unfortunately for me it was very busy. Very few seats and stranded drinks and spills everywhere...☹️ Of course the unexpected crowds today were no fault of the staff, but still the area being extremely busy and full made the atmosphere very uncomfortable 😅😅I would suggest if you go here during the festive period, get your food to takeaway and sit elsewhere 😁😁

I was politely on my way to Maccies and I was freakin buzzin for me long pint cheers and my veggie dippes and this rude girl pushed me onto the tracks of the trains station but I got back up again I never fail in life I frickin jumped up and brushed it off and started walking I was like nothing can ruin my day when I get McDonald’s so I walked to maccies and then I go to the till and ask for veggie dips and this ugly speccy lady called miss Hanson turned around and took to the last veggie dipepr cuz he’s fattery so I tyrned alrund knocked her out and then walked away with his veggie dip then his gran turned around slapped me in the chest and put me to sleep

Un pays, un mcdo ! Obligation d'y aller, il propose de nombreux choix en sandwich par rapport à d'autres pays. Des sauces différentes qu'en France et moins cher. Facile d'accès, il se trouve à côté de la gare, dans le centre commercial.

Took my step daughter in after a day at lane 7 for her 15th the fries were cold amd clearly dipped twice to reheat my partners burger was cold the order clearly wasnt looked at properly as all our orders were wrong cost me more than it would have too cook the same at home really wish i didnt come here i get its busy but cmon man theres no excuse for sloppy service as a chef i know how hard it can get but still double dipped fries from mcdonalds where is the professionalism?? Very slow service, clearly don't have enough staff and didn't seem to be in a rush to clear the backlog of orders. Avoid if you've got a train to catch. Burger was pretty poorly arranged too with half of the cheese not even in the burger

What can I say..typical fast food joint..not much else to say..busy at times..breakfast menu is on too late..finishes around 11..

Had breakfast here after a full week of scottish breakfast at the hotel. Was a good meal of a porky muffin which came with a choice of hashbrown/cucmber/fruits plus hot choco. The burger was good and had a very good measure of brown sauce (essentially is a sweet bbq version). The service manager was also commendable.

I really do not like the taste 9lof the Chili Chicken Wrap.

Went to McDonald’s as I was desperate for the toilets and the toilets opposite were ones you had to pay for so decided as there was a McDonald’s opposite.The toilets were great,very clean and a faithful McDonald’s toilet.But one huge problem is in the men’s toilet,I got locked in the cubicles,I could get in but I couldn’t get out.There was a faulty lock.So if you need to use the toilets I strongly suggest you use the urinals.

Very busy. Hard to get a seat, which ended up being kids seats. Felt crushed and claustrophobic because it was so busy. Food great- as standard. Service was what you would expect and lots of staff, which was great, no waiting for ages for the food to come.

Went in for a couple cheese burgers today there was no que apart from 1 guy before us, the woman serving took a good 15mins just trying to get this guys order all of the other staff were more interested in laughing with each other and one of the supervisors were laughing and playing with the mcflurry machine, burgers were freezing cold and had just been thrown together.

Ordered a big mac , 2 drinks and a side salad but was in a rush for the train. Got on the train to find i only had 2 drinks and a side salad. Granted i should have checked the bag but when the person shouts out your number you should expect it to be correct !. Not happy and only reinforced by view of McDonald's

with this particular place, I already have 2 not a pleasant situation, the first time was that my order was simply taken by a strange woman, the trusts said my number, I go up and that woman bursts in and says that her order, I thought that she might have heard the order number badly. But next time, the man says number 55 (I had the same one), but I understand that this is not what I ordered, after which he apologized and said 54, in the end I was waiting for my number 55, but I didn’t wait, and the menu has been changed I won't go back to this place

3* review because we did come in for a mcflurry and unfortunately, due to unexplained circumstances. We were unable to order one. We opted for the Irn Bru drink which is a revelation as an english person. Me and my girlfriend also shared a cheese burger and mayo chicken. She said it was cold but I thought the temperature was optimum. Would return again.

i’ve been to mac donald’s many times and it never fails me! its always so delicious and i extremely recommend the vanilla milkshake

The staff in the front counter are rude sometimes. I have added 2 ketchup in an order and additionally i have added another 4 ketchups but she gave me just 1 ketchup. I hated customer service

We visited here today and it was very full but we waited a few minutes and eventually a table became empty. There was a very friendly lady that greeted us and cleaned out table for us and wished us “Happy Mothers Day” which made it so special!! Our food came quickly but my only complaint was the crispy chicken burger was very crispy and dry (over cooked) but the others enjoyed their meal immensely!! Thank you to that lady for making our day special - Employer of the month award!!

mega-crowded mcdonald, when I was there maybe 3 out of 6 kiosks were working, the service staff was not able to clean up after all the guests, while despite quite a lot of traffic I got a complete order and was able to eat on the spot.

This is the best McDonald's I've ever had. Even got extra large fries as a bonus. My life feels more meaningful after this experience. I would like to thank staff and cooks for their delicious meal and effort

Chaotic and non working receipt printers. The staff should take a targeting course. They have one job....stack the stuff. Cheese gets flipped like s playing card...for only £3.49

ordered many times from this store, there is always something missing for takeaway orders, either sauces or a whole large burger meal! Definitely check everything even the staff stacks everything together in a small carry bag.

Food is very rarely hot, have had my orders wrong a few times. Staff are friendly, though few mistakes such as putting items on my food I’ve customised to be taken off I’ve found on. Food comes quick enough so good for when you’re in a rush

Be careful if you’re in for a nibble before your train (especially weekend mornings), be prepared to wait for 20mins or more so 25mins+ is needed to be safe. The fact there are quite a lot of unclaimed food at the counter also suggests that. Edit: visited again on a working day morning, very fast service so likely only a weekends issue. However the number calling screens are still not working but other advertising screens are, this doesn’t help as some machines don’t print receipts either. This needs fixing as it’s not friendly to people whose hearing is impaired

Food was hot and served quick. Very busy place but the self service screens were not all working.

What a place!!! What was right Chips warm. What was wrong Both mens and womens toilets smelly and 80% out of use. Tables cramped together and when I saw a member of staff cleaning tables with a cloth and no spray it makes me think that’s common sense. No till roll in the self service tills. People sat In there who haven’t even ordered and one person with a kfc. Everything you touched felt sticky or old. Let down to stay and to be honest what a way to represent Edinburgh To have that at a busy station.

Popped in while on the way to my granddad's funeral and one of the staff, Helen, struck up a conversation with me, she was extremely friendly and definitely cheered me up a lot! She made a day I've been dreading a bit better and I'm really grateful, our little chat definitely meant a lot to me! (as a side note the food was fine too)

Service and foods were okay, however it's definitely a meeting point for teenagers that are not well behaved. They are really annoying, throwing trash and foods all over the place... also smoking vapes.

Just visited this establishment and I can only say we WILL NEVER BE BACK. This has to be the worst franchise ever. If McDonalds had “secret shoppers” this place would be closed down. The toilets were disgusting and even the restaurant floor was filthy and covered in food waste. I would imagine if public health paid a visit, the would close this establishment down.

I generally avoid McDonalds like the plague but we needed something to eat and drink quickly. Quick efficient service with order correct first time. Very busy but quieter upstairs with plenty free tables. The fish fillet was something grey in batter, must have been the cheapest and oldest fish known. Sauce was appallingly grim, an awful flavour. The Big Mac was more acceptable. Fries were cold by the time we got through half a packet; not surprising really as they are cut so thin. Tea was fine. There were people with their feet up on seats. The staff appearred totally unconverned. People have to sit on those seats and potentially get dirt on theit clothes. McD clearly don't care.

Very Busy but well managed, food was cooked well and my Gluten Free requirements not an issue, food (without bun & sauce) was packed thoughtfully.

It is a pleasure and a surprise to find such an inclusive restaurant. I arrived to dine in with my adult son who has autism and learning difficulties. The staff member on the door immediately understood the situation and when I was using the QR code to log into Track and Trace, guided my son to our table, using his name and appropriately settling him. His agitation stopped and I successfully logged in and then ordered our meal. Thank you for your inclusive supportive approach.

Yesterday , I went to MC donalds in Waverly Mall at 5:20 pm . There was this guy standing outside who told me it was only take away . I said okay and went to the screen to place my order . But there , it said i can do both take away and sit in . I got confused as time was just 5:25pm .and asked one of the staff lady . She was very polite and told me i can sit in till its 10 to 6 . Okay i have placed my order through sit in . I got my burger and went to a table and started eating . This guy then came towards me and shouted at me to leave . I told him about my doubt and the other staff lady adviced me to sit in (.Also , if it was only take away , that option to sit in shouldnt have shown in the screen and they shouldnt have given me my food . But they did.) .But he took it to another level . He just wanted his ego to win . Just next to me there were many people siting and having thier food . This guy was shouting and screaming at me.He told me to get out with the half eaten burger . I have literally begged to finish my burger in 1 minute . He was so arrogant and was continuously shouting at me infront of every other customers . This was the biggest humiliation in my whole life . He told me he is the manager on duty . iam a customer . i am a daily customer of MC donalds . He was behaving so rude i never ever want to have anything from Mc Donalds ever in my Life . People like him shouldnt be working in any place where customer satisfaction is an important factor . He could have told me in a nice manner or he ahould have given me just 1 more minute . i am absolutely disgraced as me and a few of my uni flat mates tried to enter but was refused by rafal(his name) as we “weren’t from the same household” i then explained we stay in a uni accommodation but he still refused saying we were lying he was very disrespectful and i quite frankly think it was cause of my race as the rest of my friends were caucasian and i am black i am outraged and disgusted by him he was disrespectful and out right rude i hope he gets talked to about this cause it’s just not on ~ kaitlyn n

I am appalled and hurt. Earlier on me and a couple of my uni flatmates entered Waverley mall at around late noon after a long day of revision. We politely asked To enter McDonald’s to get a quick snack and we were denied access. We are from one household and rafal(the McDonald’s worker) didn’t believe us. I am outraged. We were all Caucasian except my Nigerian/Cambodian friend. And the stares she was getting of rafal were out of order. I am never returning to such an un welcoming pile of crap restaurant. Outrages is not the word. Radial better learn some mannorisms. We were standing at princess mall freezing and starving ungry. Luckily my cousin dawn could come get us or I was about to cause a ruckus!!!

Following distancing rules well, food came quick and hot and it all tasted good. No complaints here.

Our order took ages to be delivered and when it eventually was the food was look warm and my order was not all there. I know it is what it is but other branches of the chain are better.

Close to the railway station so very convenient if you need food on the go. Not busy late in the evening, Food was quickly and freshly prepared. Staff friendly.

Love their burgers, fries, ice cream. One of my all time favourite burger places. Their apple pie is good as well.

No es un lugar enorme y estaba bastante ocupado. Nos las arreglamos para conseguir un servidor real (las máquinas de autoservicio me confunden, pero eso es probablemente una cuestión de edad) y ella fue agradable. El servicio fue rápido, la comida estaba bien (justo lo que cabría esperar) y bien de precio. Los asientos son limitados, pero el lugar estaba bastante limpio y ordenado.

Este lugar apesta. El servicio es terrible, lento y muy poco cuidado. Oh, guau, fue bastante sorprendente presenciar tal falta de voluntad del personal. Y el lugar era nadar en jugo pegajoso derramado, envoltorios, tazas en el piso, mesas, trozos de comida en sillas y piso. Sentíamos que habíamos venido justo después de que el zoológico acabara de tener su pelea anual de comida. (sin ofender a los animales ni a los cuidadores del zoológico).

Standard McDs but with the added advantage of friendly staff who really seemed to care for their customers - such a change from what you normally get.

The staff are fantastic and so sweet, nonetheless, a little ginger man was very very rude to me and my friend and nothing was done about it, we were both made to feel very vulnerable inside the establishment, so despite good staff work I'm afraid to say the experience was very intimidating and I am scared to return.

It’s the typical McDonalds..... I needed something after missing lunch touring around. The food was fair, avoided the computer order lanes, had a lovely discussion with the staff member that took my order. Just expect the expected!

We visited for McFlurries and drinks. Our mcflurries were half full as a trainee did them. Perhaps trainees should have someone giving guidance on things like how to prepare something, portion size etc to be consistent with the brand image?

A very small place compared to other Mc Donald restaurants, therefore its very crowded. Though crowded their service is very good. The Ice-Creams were very nice.
