Went for lunch best burger I’ve had in a long time good for the price give it a try well worth it will be back if am back in Edinburgh

Went here Friday 12 April at roughly 6.30 Went in waiting to be seated someone approached us saying they have seats available for a table for 2 but we would have to wait to see the person who runs the seats as he has a system that no one can mess with then we get told although we have already been told there is tables available it will be a 10 minute wait for one we decide to wait (our mistake) 10 minutes turned into roughly 20 Then when we were seated took another 15/20 minutes to get our order taken and believe me when I say they weren't busy The menu most burgers or meals with fries £18 the burgers we had were nice but definitely not worth £18 each As I have been a chef for more years than I care to remember when you pay £18 for a burger and fries you want to feel like you have had a meal but even my wife who doesn't have the biggest of appetites was hungry when she left Then they can't even be bothered to come and collect payment you pay through your phone on a app and they have the cheek to add 12.5% service charge what service can I ask definitely not good service So overall don't waste your time I wished I had waited in the queue for bonnie and wild there is a reason they have a queue and mr Ramsays restaurant doesn't I definitely can't recommend and I won't be back

Popped in yesterday for a quick meal and we weren’t disappointed! Burgers were really proper and all the sides were super tasty too! The venue had a very cool vibe!

Went there for a burger one afternoon. Service was good although a bit too much pushing extras when taking the order. Opted for the lamb burger. Dry and pretty tasteless.

It is okay. I waited longer than I ever had to order my food. I nearly got up and left because of how long I waited. The food is good, but probably won’t be back.

We went as a family as it’s one of few places we could get booked, and as we like Gordon Ramsay we knew we would get good food. The decor is rustic/street vibe, modern and stylish with nice leather comfortable seats. The waiters were very friendly and attentive with a warm welcome. However we weren’t offered a kids menu when we arrived, so we just assumed there wasn’t one. We ordered our food and didn’t have to wait too long, I ordered the chicken avo, I love avocado, the chicken was cooked lovely but unfortunately there was a slither of avocado on my burger…the chefs need to give ALOT more avocado, please! Chips were nice…however I don’t think you should pay extra if you want a different topping or flavour, if there’s one thing that’s annoying about restaurants - it’s paying extra for chips! It’s chips! Just offer what you have included in the price and you are onto a winner. Portion sizes aren’t that big tbh proven by my kids eating every bit, and they’re 9&4. Good for a stop off, but not if you have a pretty big appetite. Nice enough little place, not fantastic but not awful.

Visited here on Tuesday 27 March. We had a great time and staff were friendly and polite. Food was great and quality excellent - you pay more but that is the choice we made. Excellent burger and onion rings. Chicken wings with street sauce were very nice. Played a free game on the Pac Man arcade machine. Had a great conversation about tatoos with the manager. Definitely would visit again.

Having really enjoyed a recent visit to a London Street Burger, I thought I’d treat myself to a lunch in Edinburgh. I’ve also been to the Bread Street bistro and it was nice, if deafeningly loud. I left Street Burger before ordering because the behaviour of the hipster waiter was so rude. I felt unwelcome from the moment I arrived. I was polite and smiled throughout, but at one point had to say (still with a smile for some reason!) “Actually, I think I will just go because you are talking to me in an unpleasant and patronising way.” You will get better service, more pleasant surroundings and probably a comparably serviceable burger in a McDonald’s. I suspect the reliance on tourists rather than repeat business might be at the root of the problem.

Gordon Ramsay you ought to check this place out purely so you can assess the state of it. Drinks served in sticky glasses, burgers were terrible and worst of all our side of coleslaw was OFF. Yes you heard me, OFF! That is unforgivable…of course the waiter apologised and offered another coleslaw on the house….whilst I understand she was just being hospitable why on earth would I want another side of coleslaw that’s been turned or anything else from that kitchen that’s supposed to be ‘fresh’ 🙈 Every time I pass this place it’s always empty….now I know why. Suffice to say we are never returning again.

Should you wonder if I've an axe to with GR, read my review for Bread Street St. Pauls... We were blown away by the food taste and quality. I had ribs + onion rings which were perfect. I'm from Texas, know BBQ, and the pork ribs were fall-off-the-bone succulent. You'd also be hard pressed to better onion rings. My daughter had the "Hotter than Hell" heat wings and did just fine. No sweat on her brow. My wife raved about the Indian inspired chicken burger. Simply put, really great food. Staff, on the other hand, was a total disappointment. Perhaps understaffed, yet all appearances were these young men still live at home with Mum + Dad. There's your cultural reference. I'll leave it to you to make associations. They simply couldn't be bother to do - anything. It took 3x requests to get a lemonade refill for my daughter (yes, the same one eating the "Hotter than Hell" wings. We wanted to order dessert but nope, the staff couldn't be bother so went went to Haute Dolce (see their review). For once, I was grateful for the dreaded QR billing process so we could move along.

Having been to Edinburgh Street Burger on 4 occasions this by far was the worst experience. Burger was lukewarm as were the fries. Place was not clean ie food lying on floor and tables were not particularly clean either. Having used the facilities I was disgusted at the lack of cleanliness. Mr Ramsay you need to sort this place out! Sorry but won’t be back.

Arrived late from a flight hoping for a bite to eat. Was quickly welcomed and sat and it wasn't long before I had a nice cold beer in front of me. Food was excellent. I can certainly recommend the ménage au trois burger. I would even go as far to say as service was certainly better than the street burger in the O2 London.

Even with a slight order error it was rectified quickly and we enjoyed out lunch

Our waitress Sophia, was lovely, efficient and funny. She greeted us, seated us and waited on us and made our experience enjoyable.

Well I had a great experience in terms of being situated, very friendly host. Ordered quickly and then 30 min later no drink or wings starter. Desert cane first then everything, burger was a little cold. Hell’s Kitchen burger wasn’t spicy it had other spices but not the kick I was looking for or any kick. Was more annoyed my burger was cold but the staff were lovely but the food besides the wings wasn’t great. Don’t know what rate I should give as the staff were lovely. Anyway we move take from that what you will!

Trendy place but the waiters looked flustered at times. Adding a more than a fiver for the wagyu burger but it was dry AF, tasted liked it was killed twice which is probably why you pay a premium. I appreciate the efforts and what not, but that's a no from me. Sorry but my burgers are waaay better and costs a fraction of the price. A star for every tenner I had to fork out for one meal.

Great place for a good bite. It is pricey but it's a Ramsay restaurant what do you expect. burgers were lovely and sweet potato fries were delish. The onion rings were phenomenal and elevated so well I still think about them 3 days later. Was my birthday lunch so I got a free sticky toffee pudding to go along with it and that was lovely. Staff were great my only concern was we had to ask 3 different people for tap water only to get it on the third time which is a bit weird considering it's just water but couldn't complain about anything else and would be back again

Just amazing all the way from atmosphere to taste!

Found this place really lacking in atmosphere. It's maybe because of where our table was but it felt really basic and unwelcoming. Service was really slow. Over half an hour just to get a drink. In total we were there for an hour and a half, for a burger and a drink. Burgers were nice enough but nothing special. I think Edinburgh has much better to offer so unfortunately it's not somewhere I'd go again.

Was seated at a table and told someone would take my order in 5 mins. The dizzy waitress walked past me several times and served people who came in after me. Atrocious service but I'm the food would have been good. I walked out in disgust.

We were sat at a table at the end of the restaurant, and took them aeound half an hour for them to come take our order, and it took around 20 minutes for the food to arrive. The food was delicious but the service was such a let down.

Appalling service, had to wait 50+minutes for a burger that came stone cold because it had been undoubtedly sitting under heat lamps for ages. Whilst waiting for a table to become available i watched at least 10 burgers sit ready for service slowly getting cold. An absolute cheek to then automatically add a service charge. Dreadful service and mediocre food at high prices - would not recommend.

I got the cheeseburger which was absolutely amazing, great sauces, toppings and flavour. They don't skimp on portion sizes so value for money is great. For anyone looking a delicious lunch or dinner at a decent price, I would highly recommend. Our server was also extremely friendly.

Bitterly disappointed. Had high hopes for an amazing burger but it was average at best. The staff were very friendly but the service was terrible. 45 minutes wait to get our food (2 burgers, 2 fries and 1 portion of onion rings). The food was ok. Given the price I was expecting a huge burger packed with flavour. The burger was pretty small and very average. Nothing special at all. Much better food available in a number of independent small places nearby (The Basement in Broughton St is one that springs to mind!). Maybe this was just an off day for the restaurant but don't think I'll be rushing back any time soon.

The food’s delicious. They are a little small on portions. The service was shocking. One of the servers were an amazing but after he left us we were waiting ages for food. They also forgot our drinks and said they would take it off the bill but when the bill then came there was an “optional service fee”… It was not optional and the food was overpriced as well and then adding this fee was ridiculous. But the food was 10/10

We popped in for pre cinema burgers. Staff were lovely and friendly service was quick and efficient and food was tasty. I had the JFC which was tasty. It was great fun to play pac-man and street fighter whilst waiting for food. We'll definitely be back.

The menage a trois hamburger was absolutely delicious. Atmosphere was great, would highly recommend visiting. Will come again in the future. Had really great service by hope aitkin, she was amazing!

Visited for lunch on an Itison deal. Burgers, fries and cocktails for two for £39 instead of £58. My son ate from the kids menu, £9 for burger fries and a soft drink. They also customised his burger to add a fried egg. We had a Menage a troi burger and a lamb burger. Both were very tasty. We had a side of onions rings which were well cooked. Cocktails normally cost £11, its quite a small glass however. I don't think cocktails are their strong point. Staff were great, friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back. Free WiFi, 12.5% optional service charge.

Best burger in edinburgh We visited on Friday evening and were seated right beside the free arcade machines. Our server dale was brilliant, they recommened the j.f.c burger and the lamb kebab, the 2 of them were outstanding, along with "the world's greatest onion rings". Would 100 percent recommend to anyone.

It couldn’t be any better. The service was good. Has friendly, nice, patient and respectful staff. Seriously high quality material. Good value of money.

The first thing I would like to comment is that the service was excellent. Attentive, fast and friendly waiter. I went with my partner and she ordered a cheese burger without fries while I ordered the chicken and avocado burguer with regular fries. The meat on her hamburger was overcooked, dry, without any flavor and its size was too small compared to the bread. My marinated chicken burger had no flavor at all, (marinated??) it hardly had any avocado and, like the beef burger, it was extremly overcooked. The price of each burger, £14, is not at all justified. Special mention for the fries, whose price is £4. Such was the quantity, that to make a joke, we counted them, resulting in a total of 19 small-sized French fries, they did not fill even half of the paper bag in which they came. A complete robbery. They charged me another almost £4 for a tap soft drink (nothing from a can or bottle). Obviously, the quality-price ratio is regrettable. Place to avoid at all costs.

Disappointed. Food was ok but distinctly average. Prices anything but. £3.95 for a can of coke. It's vastly overpriced almost £90 for 4 burgers and soft drinks. Ice cream machine out of order for cleaning at 1pm on a Sunday. It speaks volumes that every other food outlet was packed yet only 3 tables taken here. Gordon Ramsay is very good at critising other people's businesses, perhaps he should take a close look at his own. Go to five guys.

Edinburgh store, after 35 minutes asked to order a drink. Young waiters standing around chatting. Onions on burger cut 1.5 cms thick, too thick for raw onions, we pulled the onion off. Rest of the food nice but staff a let down for the store. It won’t last if they don’t improve their service and staff realise that customers are important.

Had to wait about 10 minutes on our table we had prebooked only to be led to a floor which was almost empty. The food was nice but definitely not the best burger I've eaten. Didn't stay for dessert as they only had one option, everything else wasn't available. Given the cost it was disappointing.

There are some very mixed reviews for this place but we had a good experience! Arrived without a reservation and was advised by the friendly staff member that it would be roughly a 25-45 minute wait. As we were in no rush, we were happy to wait and sat in their bar area for a drink. (The Sauvignon Blanc was some of the best I ever tasted!!) After roughly 15/20 minutes we were then very kindly informed there had been a cancellation and were seated at a table. Both opted for the £18 burger and Koffman fries. The butter chicken burger was absolutely delicious! Great value for a lunch, perhaps a little on the small side if ordering at dinner time, but we left very happy. The staff did a great job considering how busy it was!

It wasn't bad but Bread Meats Bread is much better. The chips were nice, they tasted like they were double fried. The burgers were quite small for 18 pounds including chips. It was nice enough but I wouldn't go back, I was expecting better considering Ramsay's name is on it. It was better than Perro Negro burgers next door which I felt were even smaller.

After booking for new years, expectations were high (because of the ramsay name). The food was explained to us in great detail by Tim (General Manager) and after ordering, the food sadly turned up cold. However, Tim was quick to rectify the situation and further compensated us for the trouble. Upon the second arrival of dinner, the food looked amazing. And tasted even better than that. After explaining to us that he was short staffed and it being NYE, we were fully satisfied with our visit. Tim made the evening a success.

It was very expensive £72 for my husband daughter and I to have three burgers and drinks. However we did really enjoy it. The burgers were great. The staff were great.

I can say without a doubt that this place is not worth it. Food and drinks were plain and not worth the price. We ordered tamarind wings which were good, but the lamb and cod main dishes lacked flavour and salt. We also added a green salad side but it was just a bunch of leaves with oil for +£5 and some of them looked brown and yellow leaves or even dehydrated. In summary, we think we wasted our money and will not recommend this place.

Dross. The main: £18 for chips and a burger. I opted to add the 'cheese skirt' for an additional £2, this only added a crispy charcoal taste (and not in a welcoming smokey-type way), it definitely didn't resemble cheese. Heck, my gran's ashes would more closely resemble cheese and she's been dead for 15 years. So I'll go out on a limb and say that it downgraded the burger somewhat, rather than enhance it. Which in itself was nothing special, and small. The chips, though, were delicious, but for an adult meal and the price, you'd expect more, way more. You'd be forgiven for thinking you'd time travelled to Ireland in the late 1840's. But wait, there actually is more, but not in the form of chips unfortunately; I ordered a side of Mac & Cheese which was £7. That portion was maybe 5 forkfuls and that's no exaggeration. The Dessert: At this point I was already seething, so I went for broke. Why not order the most expensive sweet on the menu? £7 for an 'edible chocolate cup' with the most generic ice cream inside. No option for the sauce on top but the photo on the promo for the sweet shows it? Anyway, you get a 'free prize' with the chocolate mug of depression, which I'm sure was in no way covered by the outlandish prices all round. You get a choice of either a magnet, bottle opener, or a badge. All to remind you of a woeful experience that left you, and your wallet, empty. To summarise; - Small Portions. - Overpriced. - I don't believe Gordon Ramsay's television persona would be satisfied with the sub-par experience. - Daylight Robbery.

This was £28. Embarrassing compared to what you can get nearby for less? Go to bucks bar instead of this Kitchen nightmare. Hang your head in shame Gordon. This is a joke. Beautiful restaurant as expected . Staff vili Lisa Leah were fabulous and handled a great service on a Friday night can’t forget about the barman michal who made amazing drinks . Overall happy very happy with the visit would recommend to everyone

Abbiamo scelto la soluzione a 18 sterline, hamburger e patatine fritte. Abbastanza delusi dall'hamburgher il cui rapporto qualità/prezzo è secondo noi insoddisfacente. Servizio buono. Mi ha stupito invece vedere la parte superiore della piastra su cui si cucinano gli hamburger sporca (abbiamo cenato alle 19.30 19.45) . Non accettabile. Complessivamente ci aspettavamo molto di più. Non abbiamo preso il dolce perché delusi dall'hamburgher.
