I was there for the first time with my husband, and we were very pleased with the food and service. The food was delicious. My husband had ribs in a delicious sauce, and I had the idiot burger. Everything was served aesthetically and quite quickly. The drinks were also good. I recommend it, and we will definitely return.

I went there for dinner with my friends food was amazing and the service was great I really recommend.

In hindsight, we should have read the review summary before walking the length of Princes Street to visit this outlet. Despite it being the evening rush hour, only one other table was occupied. We ordered a round of Peroni—so far the most expensive we've had in Edinburgh—along with our meals: two beef burgers and two chicken burgers. My burger was decent, though the fries were quite good. However, according to the two family members who ordered them, the chicken burgers were among the worst they've had in a long time—just a bland piece of chicken breast. My wife barely ate hers. The Google review stating that "many diners find the burgers lacking in taste and portion size, leading to questions about the restaurant's value" is spot on. The bill included a 12.5% service charge, which was quickly reduced upon request.

I love coming back to this place. Cool atmosphere and, most importantly, good food. I love not only their delicious burgers (I haven't tried all of them on the menu yet), but also their salad with chicken and awesome sauce. I love it! They also have good drinks. The chefs really do a good job. I love all the chefs there that I had the pleasure of talking to, but the best chef, who makes burgers like something from a fairy tale, is Wojtek. I recommend it.

Great Burger's, happy we gave it a try.

Didn't get as far as food so can't review. Restaurant was dark and dirty. First seat offered filthy asked for a different one and young guy said hadn't been cleaned yet. Next one in the corner could hardly read the menu it was so dark. Table was filthy so got up and left. Went to hard Rock cafe. Clean fast , good food and lovely staff.

Food was great, I was served by Jess, and she was really nice and even helped me with making a decision on what to order. All in all, really good burger joint, would highly recommend :)

Tonight, I took my nephew here for his birthday. We were instructed to scan a QR code and order through the website, so I did. I paid immediately, including a 12% gratuity tip—which felt questionable since we hadn’t even experienced any service yet. Prepare yourself: if you want to buy a can of Coke, you might need to take out a mortgage—£4.75 for a single can! Daylight robbery. We waited 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive, which was a bit absurd, though not entirely unexpected. The food arrived shortly after, and let me tell you: after eating, you might find yourself searching for the nearest McDonald’s, as the burgers and the portion sizes of the fries (or loaded fries) were barely enough for a newborn. Overpriced and offering little value for money, the food was only barely average in taste. I ordered the “idiot burger” and left feeling like a complete idiot indeed, for wasting my money and time. Never again. Don’t go—don’t try—you will regret it.

Was there on a Friday night and had a really lovely experience! The food is really good but what stands out for me is the service. Had the chance to interact with guys from the kitchen and they were very nice with us!! Everyone is so attentive and service is very quick

The food was delicious, the portions are quite big so also great value and the service was amazing. We were able to order and get our food very quickly and they were really nice and attentive with our requests. The kitchen is open to the public so we were able to talk to the chefs and they were super nice. I will definitely go back again to try more things out of the menu.

Food was fine, however the service quality is extremely poor. And you're forced to pay 12.5% tip unless you speak to staff, which is not even there since everything is done in the app. And all that for £30 for a small burger, and small portion of chips. There are so many better places than this. Would not recommend.

Disappointed. Chicken burger was luke warm and impossible to cut. Poor server was on her own and apologized when I told her the burger wasn't edible and passed my comment to the chef. Won't return.

Great Food, Awful Service I recently dined at Street Burger and had a frustratingly mixed experience. While the food was excellent the service was shockingly poor. Despite the restaurant not being busy, the waitstaff seemed indifferent to taking orders. It took multiple attempts to get their attention, and even after ordering, the drinks didn’t arrive for an unreasonably long time. The same happened with dessert—we had to call them over three times before it finally arrived. For a bill that ended up over £100, I expected at least decent service, but unfortunately, it was anything but. If the staff had been attentive, this could have been a fantastic dining experience. Until they improve their service, I wouldn’t rush back, no matter how good the food is.

Very beautiful experience. The waiter was great with us and understood our needs including our little daughter’s.

Sorry but this was a massive let down. Messed up our order big time. Brought out all the food but one person we waited for theirs only to find out they had run out of the vegan option hours before and forgotten to tell us. They didn’t bring wings out at all. Messed up a burger by adding ingredients that had been removed on the menu app. Serving staff were pretty unprofessional.

Me and my girlfriend are big fans of gordons shows, so booked this in for valentines night. When we got there there was a crowd of about 5 other couples waiting in line stood in the doorway under a hot air vent. We were waiting there for about 30 minutes after our reservation time, whilst the one person slowly showed people to their tables. After finally being seen to, the guy gave us a rough run through of ordering process, QR codes... ridiculously out of touch, its a higher end burger restraunt charging 18 a plate and 8 a beer, youd expect to be served. We tried ordering through this app, my girlfriend wanted her burger not to have mustard and a ghurkin, fairly common preference, but couldnt make any such changes on the app, unable to continue we had to do the most insane thing and try to get a waiter to help take our order. That took way too long, not for lack of trying, so many times staff walked by us, one blatently looking over at us in the eye whilst we were asking them over, turning his head right back without acknowledging us. Later he did come back, where when we explained the situation he cut us off to get his tablet to go through the order. Thankfully, it didnt take too long to get the food to the table, the chefs clearly were keeping up well with the appaling front of house service, and the food wasnt too bad. Well, except that my girlfriends burger had a hair in it. We had other places to get to and thankfully another staff member saw to us quite quickly, offering to remake it and take it off the bill, we were starting to run out of time so just went on. As we flagged a staff member down to settle up, thankfully one of the burgers was removed, but there was a discreet service charge added on to which we only realised after. Its not normal to flatly say to a staff members face to remove the service charge, why is this an expectation; moreso, why is there a service charge at all when service is supposed to be done through an app!!!!! Clearly, not a good experience, we expected much more from a place like this, and were looking for other options when as soon as we sat down, we suggest you do the same before getting to the seats.

The service was not very good. You place the order online and pay online as well. They put a high tip on it. The burgers and fries were good. The mac and cheese was not very good.

The served coke is made of concentrate sirup and tasted like chlorine. Quite sad. The food and service are okay.

I walked into the restaurant on February 11 with my mother, hoping for a great meal and asked for a table for two. Unfortunately, they were very short staffed and the person who was supposed to seat us had to say “I’ll be back in a moment.” A few minutes later, I decided to walk out with my mother. It appeared that the restaurant was poorly managed with no evidence that they were able to seat people on time. This immediately put me off and maybe helped me decide that I would not go and spend my hard earned money in restaurant, which is unable to get this fundamental right as it suggests everything else will be suboptimal too.

Visited last night. We were greeted by a friendly waitress and the chef also said hello as we walked in. The waitress offered us a table and explained to scan the QR code to order. We didnt find it easy to use as you had to keep jumping up and down on the website to view the menu. There was no mineral water to order on the app so asked the waitress for help and she went to check. She brought the water up from downstairs but it never made to our table.. as the food arrived we were surprised by how small the burgers were (for the price). I had the bbq one which did not taste of bbq at all. We have asked the waiter who delivered the food for the drinks. He brought over the still waters (in plastic bottles) and they charged us £9 for two bottles (500ml each)!!!!! If you pay on the app the “discretionary service charge” of 12,50% was aded on and could not be removed unless asked the staff. We asked for the bill and the waiter said to pay on the app. We didnt feel the service was good enough to pay the tip so we asked for it to be removed. We were really excited to visit the Gordon Ramsay burger place but besides the name, it was mediocre . We wouldn’t come back nor recommend it to anyone. Disappointed to be honest.

Amazing as always! The service was great, we were rushing to go to the theatre and Nala made sure we got our food quickly. Food was delicious. The vibe is also calm but fun, the music is good but not too loud, there’s stuff going on but it’s not too busy. Really enjoy it here! Thanks Nala!

Idiot burguer is a fantastic option! Great atmosphere and super friendly staff. I recommend it

A party of 10. 6 adults and 4 children. 1 child has dairy allergy. Great having a couple of arcade machines free to play for the kids. Down the hatch is a 5 min walk away and is a much better burger and menu. Fat hippo on george street also a better burger. It's £18 for the smash burger and a portion of fries. And it was small and not even as good as 5 guys. It was our first visit and our son chose to come here for his 13th birthday, on the reservation we noted this, sadly nothing was mentioned or done to make his experience special by the team. Our youngest is 3 and we ended up not ordering dessert as they have zero options on the kids menu or adults menu that don't contain dairy and he is allergic to dairy so not fair to make him sit and watch the rest of us tuck in to bottomless ice cream. Crazy that a high profile place like this can't accomodate a pretty common allergy for dessert, it's not hard to stock some tubs of vegan ice cream in the freezer. Very disappointing experience, makes sense now why all the other restaurants were way busier. Also toilets poor. Door hooks hanging off. Sinks missing plugs and dirty.

When it first opened it was good. Sadly, the food was not great on my last visit and, more importantly, the service has gone right down hill. A shame really as it used to be a very nice place to visit.

The burgers were excellent here. My only disappointment was that the GFC (spicy kimchi) burger was not available. The beef burger was excellent though. My only complaint was being directed to order using QR codes. Sorry, but I refuse to do that (don’t try and be like McDonald’s when you’re charging these prices). I want a proper menu and someone to take my order.

Overall decent food and good service, some of the bigger onion rings were too oily and couldnt eat them but the smaller ones were ok. The prices are insane, almost £5 for a soft drink.

I was excited about the fact I could order ribs. They were smaller than my hand No fries with it. The coleslaw was like soup. Mac and no cheese was the best of the bunch but I was still hungry after. £30 odd. Daylight robbery. Well Gordon you boast about fixing the restaurants of the world but you have failed in your own. Gutted pal!

There is only beef and chicken. The burger menu was very delicious. We preferred a Tandoori paneer nurgwr. It's a great flavor for those who don't prefer bacon like us.

Good and tasty burgers, with vegan options available. I like to drop by when I’m at St James Quarter and don’t know what to eat, while not being in the mood for experimenting or searching for a new place. They almost always have a free table, and even if they don’t, the wait time is usually short.

Costed on a sat afternoon was very busy, ordered idiots burger my wife ordered a half rack of ribs and onion rings side. Food was amazing a bit overpriced for what you get. You order from your table via a app and pay on the app or at till, they add a service charge which you can ask to be removed

Definitely recommend the dirty fries...the were better than my burger. Burger was good, but the fries were so good. The server was polite but hard to rate 4 stars when you order on your phone and pay on your phone. So you really only get service when they deliver your order.

I've been twice. The first time I really enjoyed it, however the second time it was just a bog standard burger and chips. You can get superior quality in the immediate area for half the price. However the real issue here is the billing. I am happy to pay 12.5 percent which is automatically added to the bill if the service is reasonable but you can easily obtain a voucher on different sites to get 2 meals and 2 cocktails sub £40. WHY does the restaurant therefore see fit to create a bill for the highest price possible for the contents of your meal by pricing everything individually and adding the 12.5 percent to that. Therefore you will pay the percentage on an imaginary price which will be well in excess of £60. You also pay via the QR code on the table so you're not actually getting a service for your tip. Is this practice even legal? Absolute scam!

Deserts and starter were good The main was bland and we waited over an hour for it. We had a round of drinks comped due to the delay in the mains, but we were not given an explanation of what happened. So I don't know how probable it is that it would happen again. The atmosphere was fine, nothing great, nothing bad.

Visiting from Florida, the place was clean, the staff was courteous and caring, and food was brought in swiftly with all accounted/ordered items. Payment was made super simple via phone. The place is 10/10 highly recommended

The service was good. The food, however, was too average for the price. The burgers are very small. Maybe we approached the food with too high expectations. I personally don't like the ambience - the light is very dim.

Such a good burger! Tender and juicy. Chips were crispy yet soft on the inside. Definitely worth a try. Calming atmosphere too!

Went here at Christmastime. There was no still water! Service very slow, despite numerous empty tables. Food ok, but portions really small. The burgers were very small. The restaurant didn’t come over as being very clean, and all seemed rather disorganized. Will not be going back!

I was very pleased with the quality of the food at Gordon Ramsay Street Burger. I had the Next Level Burger and it was delicious. The fries were also seasoned in a way that made them very tasty. Also, the host was very friendly.

Very disappointing service and food. There was a long wait between ordering online and the arrival of food/drinks although the restaurant was by no means full. I ordered the chicken and avocado burger which arrived with no chicken! The food was sent back, and a new one prepared. Unfortunately, when eating this new burger there were bones in the chicken. Which was quite surprising. The burger itself was very sloppy and not well seasoned aside from the awful crispy cheese around the side which I couldn't eat. The waitress was initially very apologetic and offered to take it off the bill which was already paid. She then offered us a free desert. We didn't take up this offer after the standard of the main. One of the worst burger and eating experiences I've had. Perhaps Gordon Ramsey should have his own establishment on an episode of Kitchen nightmares.

I booked a table, entered the restaurant by the time, there were several empty tables, but the manager told me that she would not seat me and I had to wait another 30 minutes. The restaurant intentionally creates a queue. I recommend ignoring this place, because it deliberately refuses service in order to create a stir.

£18 for a burger which you order and pay for on your phone, then they put a mandatory 12.5% service charge on. You do everything on your phone so it's 12.5% for them to carry a burger roughly 3 meters.

Waited 30 mins for drinks and 1 hour for food. Some of our food was cold. No apologies from staff. No communication whatsoever. Expected better. I'm disappointed.

Firstly ! Cannot fault the FOH staff at all. But had a really poor experience. Told them I have a milk allergy (not just lactose intolerant) like I could be really unwell or die. Was reassured by the manager that the buns were vegan so I ordered a burger minus the cheese but added bacon. It arrived and I lifted the bun there was a speck of cheese. I understand cross contamination exists but that is really ridiculous. As we had paid before the meal we couldn’t get a refund but were offered free cocktails but we just wanted to leave at this point. The manager was really great though but as a girl with an allergy it was a really scary and awful experience. Definitely avoid if you have an allergy - not worth the risk ! Sorry guys

I asked for vinegar with house fries and the very loud female chef proceeded to embarrass the waiter saying so all could hear it’s not priced in so don’t offer it, with burgers at £20 + drinks I can only imagine how much revenue they would lose by offering this to customers! Also very odd that the loud chef was discussing loudly that the line of progressions stops with her, that’s very scary! Waiter was great, chef was not a model of leadership to her staff, not what you would expect from a burger flipper in charge of the kitchen!

Overrated place in my opinion the food took so long to come and the burger was ok nothing crazy but the dirty fries were fire to be honest this is my first experience in a Gordon Ramsey restaurants and I don’t think I’ll go to any of his restaurants again waitress were fantastic bald guy with a moustache nice guy and very helpful.

Being charged over £18 for a burger is fine if the table was clean, the portions decent, there was actual service and not just a QR code and a DIY ordering system and our drinks order was delivered together instead of a 10 minute gap between the first and second halves. The staff were friendly and pleasant but it just didn't make up for it. I cannot believe that Gordon would have been happy if he'd experienced what we did today. There are so many other, better options nearby....

Never been treated so poorly in all my life! Waited for 10 mins before someone spoke to me. They sat 2 tables down who both walked in after me. The poor excuse of a “manager”, Tim, then said he had no tables left. When I complained after that he asked for my name to ban me from the restaurant!! Is this how Gordon Ramsay wants guests to be treated? Pathetic way to treat a customer Timmy. Needless to say, won’t be setting foot there again!

Loved the place. The food. The service. Everything is top notch. 4- stars for service as the online ordering system is smooth but the orders needs to be spaced out manually (by you) so that you don't have your mains and dessert coming at the same time.

Went to dine in this afternoon, very quiet as it was late afternoon. I had a burger and onion rings and the meal came to almost £80!! Honestly I didn’t think it was worth that much money. Expecially when they did not tell me they added a service charge of £13 until I read the receipt after paying. Honestly not the best burger I had for the price it was

Amazing food topped with an incredible service!

Disappointed with our visit to StreetBurger in Edinburgh. Limited menu options, out of key items, including the Christmas burger we came for. We weren’t told until seated. Excuse: 'busy week,' but that's poor prep. I know it's a first-world problem, but still...

Visited yesterday with my husband and children, resturant looks great and initially staff friendly and welcoming. Took us to our table and told us not to use the app as it gets complicated when using for more than 4 people and can’t order kids menu on it. His words were he would send “a human” as it’s easier. So we waited and waited around 25 minutes later still no human. So went ahead and ordered on the app, not too impressed that a 12.5% service charge was added that you couldn’t remove on the app and would have to find a member of staff to remove it therefore just paid it as we ordered the food. Food and drinks were served within a reasonable length of time, noticed that they charged £4.50 for a so called 330ml soft drink, which was not what we got. Glass was filled with ice and draft soft drink - you would expect a can when the menu states 330ml which is overpriced but even more overpriced when you don’t even get 330ml! So actually false advertising. Food was nice although portion sizes poor - we got ribs, burgers, man and cheese and wings. All tasty and in particular my husband enjoyed the hot sauce wings. My son spilled his drink, I asked a waitress for some help to clean it up. I wasn’t sure if she heard me at first as she barely responded but eventually came back with some tissue to clean it. No offer to refill the drink (we didn’t even have our meal yet so it was full) so I asked. But again waited and waited, asked another member of staff who wasn’t particularly pleasant either who came back and advised it had been ordered already. But we still waited during which time our meals were served and were almost finished by the time he eventually got his new drink. So overall experience was poor and did expect better service from a Gordon Ramsay restaurant. Kind of expected it to be a little more expensive due to it being Gordon Ramsay but you would hope it would be worth it so disappointed that it wasn’t. And the service charge was not deserved!

We got there 5 minutes early, the restaurant wasn't open at lunchtime yet. We entered with other guests at opening time. We were assigned a table directly under a loudspeaker with very loud music. I asked for another table after we realized we almost had to shout at each other to communicate. The young lady didn't want to give us another table, but she turned down the music. The table was also next to the open restaurant door and there was a strong draft. I put on an extra sweater under my jacket and my companion kept her two thick sweaters and scarf on. We noticed that all the guests around us had already ordered and food was already being served. Why we were ignored is a mystery to us. After 18 minutes of waiting, we decided that we would leave the restaurant in 2 minutes and no order would be taken until then. And the waitress actually came and took the order. We asked another waitress to close the door behind us and we were finally able to take off our jackets. The food was good, but the burgers were disappointingly small for the price. In total we waited 45 minutes for two small burgers. I wouldn't visit the restaurant again and the price for the carelessly presented food is clearly too high.

Our waiter was very friendly and attentive he made us feel very welcome nothing was to much trouble for him it was our first visit but will definitely be back .

Entirely average food at inflated prices, poor service, large queue of people waiting outside when upstairs was almost empty. Atmosphere was pretty much non existent. Onion rings were pretty damned good though. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Should have and easily could have been better.
